So much to try - ice cream, Mexican popsicles (paletas), and many flavors of beverage (horchata, nuts, etc.) And all the Mexican street/fast food you can imagine. Be a kid again and take the family. Family owned business. Staff is friendly, recommended.

Very good food, but they say they close at 9:00 pm and I drove from perry and it was 7:50 and they were close people were inside still eating not very happy about that.

2 things1- I got nachos the chips WHERE STALE they put no cheese on it at all.2- I got 2 steak tacos they each had like 4 pieces of meat, and barley any toppings.

The food was great as usual but the service has not been the best lately. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Des Moines a couple years ago and I can honestly say that they have downgraded. The girls that I would always see would be polite and all about the client and they would make you feel right at home. I haven’t had the same experience recently, the girls upfront are always giving attitude, don’t really pay attention to what the customer is saying, and seem irritated when you ask them a simple question, mind you I don’t usually ask questions but I wanted to get something other than my usual. Overall the food and treats are great but the service is disappointing.

Food is amazing & I love the fact that they have a million options for Mexican snacks, aside from their amazing tacos 😋. Everyone is always friendly!

Aguas frescas were great, we also ordered various tacos and the carne asada fries. The meat on the tacos were good but the carne asada was chewy and tasted old.

I love this olace, my second time there, choices galore!! Variety of drinks and finger foods like no other. The service is really good, smiling faces all the time, but the one very importang thing is cleanliness, I think they should keep checling on it. The floor mostly. But I would definitely go back.

If can I rate this ice cream shop 0 stars, I definitely would. I went in on a lovely sunny day, happy to get a creamy scoop of ice cream, but to my surprise I was greeted by a rude lady that was no help in explaining anything when I asked her about the different flavors, she seemed to be annoyed by my curiosity, as well as when I asked for a sample she got mad, and almost threw the spoon full of ice cream at me across the counter. To top it off, the lemon popsicle my boyfriend bought, went straight to the garbage because it was absolutely gross, and an uncomfortable level of sour. This ice cream shop really needs to pick up on its customer service and product quality.

If you want legitimate Mexican fast food that is not Americanized, come here. You will also find a large selection of aguas frescas, Mexican ice cream treats; frozen fruit bars made with real fruit or cream, Along with Mexican candy like Tamarind or Mazapán that Mexican kids grew up with. I highly recommend you take a fellow a Mexican with you to help you figure out what’s good!

THE MOST AUTHENTIC PLACE IN DES MOINES. I grew up in south Texas and places like this were hard to find even down there.

Chilindrina (chicharrón preparado), fresh flavored water (agua fresca), shakes, corn on a cup ( esquites/elote en vaso) overall is good Mexican Antojito. Just a bit pricey for the quantity and quality.

The best ice cream in town no questions asked.Try fruit in a cup or agua fresca. You can’t go wrong with anything. They have a great selection of food as well. Paletas, mangonadas and mucho more. If you ever been to Mexico or a big city where they sell all the Mexican snacks then you’re in heaven.
