They tried to up sell me to synthetic. They didn’t give me the 5$ off as advertised in front of building. They said they would but never did. I had to ask them to reset my oil meter to show 100% life. I had some long haired duche bag helping me out.

Jose and crew serviced my vehicle well. Made sure to show me the full level of oil unlike so other places. Checked other fluid levels and tires air pressure. Told me about other services without trying to force me to buy them. Very satisfied, will see them again in three thousand miles or three months, whichever comes first.

Clean store outside and inside they bring you in promptly you remain in your car while they take care of your your oil or whatever else you might might service you might want to do and the guys are courteous and in efficiently I like the place

I usually get my oil change from the dealer that i purchased my new car from. The dealer charges 38.00 dollars for my synthetic oil. One day i thought i would give the local business a shot. Soon as i pulled in the guy didn’t even pull off the cap and said my oil cap had signs of oil deterioration and the regular price was 58.00 but mine would be more. I thought ive seen this scam on 60 minutes and left. Now i only go to my car dealer. Be careful at this oil express in des plaines

Once upon a time, I drove my car to the station. I was getting my oil change. They done it in thirty minutes. They did a good job of changing my oil. The oil change cost me $15. The price was very affordable. The job was done. It was done right. The oil change was finished. I was back on the road again. I was driving down the lane. I was fire walling the throttle.

Although the workers do a competent job at oil and car-related services, those who run the business falsely advertise a $10 off discount on their own website. After getting my oil changed and pulling up the coupon on my phone, the assistant manager claimed that the coupon had to be printed. It says that NOWHERE on the coupon. One of the managers also yelled out, We arent here to give out discounts to the person who took care of the bill.Its probably best to avoid this establishment on behalf of their shady business practices and find a local mechanic or different franchise.

I’ve been coming to this Oil Express for many years and it’s always good service. Efficient and fast. Some of the recommendations are solid however it may be cheaper to just buy your own wiper blades or air filter and install yourself. But if you don’t mind giving them the service they’ll do a good job.

I love coming here since 2011 but now the have gone through different management tech I dont think I would come back now! I used to go to Niles I had a young man named Jacob very professional hes gone! Then I ran into these young men named Tony and Joseph very helpful and polite. They are gone Im done with this place I recommend to a lot of people because I like how they work on all of my trucks and vans. I will definitely let my family know not to go there anymore!!!😡

They stripped the plug for the oil pan when they drained the oil. It would of been nice to be told there was an issue. More money out of pocket for damages.

I’ve gone to this oil express for almost a year and it is always a pleasure. Chris and Albert are welcoming and fast workers. They always greet me with a smile. They are the reason why I’m a repeat customer.

The service was ok, but what I didnt like was the techs werent thorough enough. A few days later, I was driving to work and I heard something dragging underneath the car and when I got to work I checked under my car and I discovered that the compartment for the oil filter wasnt closed properly. Leaving my oil filter exposed, I ended up having to go underneath to close it myself. The other thing was when I got my oil change I had a coupon I got off there website for $10 off an oil change and they only gave me $5 off. The guys were nice, but I probably wouldnt be going back there again for any services.

Oil change went smoothly. Nick and Brandon were awesome. They even had a lady yelling at them for having the bay door open, but they handled it professionally and have great customer service.

If you get your oil change here, please make sure to double check your own oil filter. They didnt appropriately tighten my so it was leaking and I almost lost my engine- would have if it werent for luck and another unconnected service light causing me to take my car to the dealership to have it checked out.

I am a Des Plaines resident, I have been using this place for over a decade,As pull into the parking lot today one of the workers approached my truck and told me that I could not get service, when I asked why? he said the manager said I couldn’t not be service because I had an empty wheelbarrow in back of my truck.Needless to say, I will not use them again.

Horrible service. Very questionable management. Tommy shouldn’t be a manager. On top of that Ryan is EXTREMELY rude. Acts as if he doesn’t want me there. Don’t go here. They’re a bunch of kids.If you’re firing employees over posts they didn’t write... that gives me more of a reason to leave the post

Its not my 1st time coming here, Ive been a customer for a little bit over 2 years, and in the begin serv was just ok, than later it was pretty upsetting, but I kept coming, because its right by my house and the price is good. Anyways, this time I decided to wright a review, because I seen a change, like a big difference and it was a positive one. On 8/14/18 a simple oil change turned into a very pleasant experience. Guys were very nice, patient, fast and professional. I also got 10% off for coming on Tuesday (promotion day). Special thanks to JOE and that other kid (sorry didnt catch the name, only those UNBELIEVEBLE eyes)))) I am sure everyone in the shop will know who I am referring to)))

Place is over price, different management every time, got my oil change there and I paid for full synth for $74.99 for mobile one and they put in the wrong oil gave me the house brand durmax my car takes 0w-20 and they put 10w-30 it took them 43 mints and when I got home I had on oil leak on my garage then my oil light went on.Went back they put a new plug, it wasnt even the right plug so I took it to the dealer ship and had to pay for an engine lock, worst oil express ever damage cost me $280 I will never come back worst experience I ever had.

Its a bit on the expensive side but if you dont have a lot of free time they are absolutely fast. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. Yoy can see the prices online. They have a deal on tuesday that you can pair with a coupon if you text the number listed on thr website or a flyer in the store. I can justify the extra money because it honestly is super wait. I had 4 people a head of me as well. I only walked in.

Wed previously lived near another Oil Express where we always took the car for service. Service here was not nearly as good, and they put the wrong info on the tag.

Pretty expensive for just a oil change but it was quick and easy and that’s all that matters.

I own a VW Passat 2006 2.0T I advised full synthetic and that it needs to be engineered for German vehicles. They advised me that they have the oil for the car, and I paid $98. I did this before my return trip to Florida, shortly after getting back to FL my camshaft seized and snapped the timing belt causing havoc on this interference engine and costing $4,000 to repair.This shop maybe OK for a non German performance engines but in my experience they are not where you want to take your VW/AUDI/BENTLY/BMW/etc....

Worst place to get your oil change, was at the back, no one even told me I will be helped, had to drive around and asked ...what is going on, after 5 min of waiting, was explained door doesnt work (its ok happen come and tell me) finally car is in, didnt have the oil I was supposed to have in my car witch their cost was 79.99...whatever they lost my key, guy came looking for it, still having his oil gloves on leaving stains all over, well dont go there
