I usually go to West Marine in FWB, I live in Destin so this store is closer, However I go for the shoes, jackets ect.... I think the FWB store has more to offer. But if you need it for other use, I would say its ok.

I detail charter boats so I count on West Marine for quality supplies.

I went in for an anchor and was hoping to get in an out quickly. I checked on line first and they were showing 5 in stock, so I liked my chances. For the first 5 minutes in the store I could not find an employee, finally one came out and he was immediately dismissive regarding their digital inventory. Sure enough, they did not have even one in stock, which I find amazing. I was then connected to the manager, who was not willing to offer me the next closest anchor for the same price ($5 difference). I bought a consolation, emergency fix anchor. There was one person ahead of me at check out, the transaction took 5 minutes. Should have went to Walmart...

I buy a lot of supplies here even though its not a huge store they keep up with their inventory very well as long as you let them know what youre going to be using through the next couple weeks theyll keep it in for you.

Masks required on the door but not a single employee wore one. Never asked for my phone number for my west marine rewards account and I had to insist they put it in. Employee seemed to be annoyed I wanted my rewards. Worst west marine experience Ive had.

Was only there for a few minutes buying a tire but the employees seemed friendly and knowledgeable. And the phone service was really great also trying to find what i needed. Will be going here for futute boating needs.

Much better than ft walton beach location. Thank God this location has inventory.

I like this West Marine, its in a convenient location and the staff is helpful and not snooty like some other West Marines locations in different areas. I got some boat shoes on a clearance sale here and Im happy with my purchase.

Good people, a little pricey but if its boat related they most likey have it. Like a stand up paddle board paddle or a water proof fusion activestereo.

Even though it is a little pricey it is well worth it with the good customer service and wide variety of supplies.

I have worked at West marines for 4 years and with how many stores there are in florida, the fort walton beach and destin locations are my favorites to shop at without fail. West Marine is a bit pricy, but the wealth of experience and knowledge in store usually makes it worth it. Stores tend to be understaffed it seems.
