I went to this location for my birthday earlier this year. The store was clean and I was so very happy with my birthday cupcakes.Update: This location is still amazing. My dog absolutely loved his surprise pup cake.

As always, fresh cupcakes. The presentation of the cupcakes is beautiful, very clean, clear for the customers and variety of flavors. The decoration in the place goes a long with the cupcakes box. Good parking. The boxes that the cupcakes are in has a safety feature I will say. You can take small bumps and nothing will happen to them.

Wish I could rate with negative stars. Placed an order through DD four days in advance for a big vacation birthday party. Smallcakes “did not receive” my order although I received a confirmation email and my card was charged. Spoke to the RUDEST, most unprofessional, least helpful cashier I’ve ever encountered whose favorite phrases were “what are you talking about” and “don’t worry about it, honestly”. Amazed that someone with such poor people skills can keep a job. Other reviews mention the same about the customer service at this place—BELIEVE them. Cupcakes finally delivered lying sideways in the box with icing falling off- and not one was part of my original order.

My Birthday plans were changed from one state to another in a week. So I asked the host for Bakery Recommendations and he recommended Smallcakes of Destin. I ordered a 6in naked caked(1 layer strawberry and the other was vanilla) and 24 assorted mini cupcakes. I thank Makayla and her team for accommodating me at the last minute. Excellent Baking and Excellent communication. I would definitely use this Bakery again.

I called to order a cake for my son’s birthday. I live out of state and this bakery was highly recommended The baker, Haily, made a themed cake that was over the top delicious and decorated perfectly. He was very pleased. I wish I lived closer!

The customer service was ok but the cake was terrible, I ordered a 16th birthday cake for my niece . It was $150 and the cake was the wrong color, the filing was on the top of the cake not between the layers The cupcakes were to be filled with chocolate and they did not have any filling and were extremely dry. Very disappointed for the price

I used Smallcakes Destin FL for my wedding cake, cupcakes, and other sweets and they were AMAZING!! First, they tasted amazing. Second, they went above and beyond!!!My sweet mom went to pick up all the sweets before the wedding, and in order to keep the cake safe, she put it at the foot of the passenger side. But when she stepped out of the car, she accidentally knocked it over. It was not salvageable.My angel mom was so upset and worries that it was ruined, and when she called them (just before close) the folks at Smallcakes were SO nice!! They stayed after close for my mom to get back to pick up another cake, and they wouldnt let her pay for a new one. They gave it to her free of charge. :) How incredibly kind!We got married back in May, and at the time I knew the cake had gotten messed up but I only found out this week that smallcakes so generously gave us a replacement cake. I couldnt be happier. Thank you Smallcakes Destin!!

Really good cupcakes, friendly service

My first time in Destin I wanted dessert and stopped here! There was a wait because they were preparing to ice some freshly baked cupcakes. It wasn’t bad, under 10 minutes. But it was worth it! The carrot is very good, so is the strawberry and the fall everything!

Rude staff in the phone. Trying to order cake for my wifes birthday. Before traveling to Destin. Asked for certain cake and asked if it could be done the following day, so I asked about the next day, she did no, so I asked for the following day.. she said no. Asked again, she said no. Then finally said we cant all week. She should have said that at the beginning of our conversation.

I tried to order white cupcakes for engagement party. Took days to try to talk to a live person. Then the girl was short and rude and was like we don’t do special orders. I’m like aren’t you a cake shop? She is like what you see is what you get in the morning. That’s what we make for the day. Very disappointed!

Their cupcakes are incredible! Coming from a cupcake connoisseur, I can say they were the most flavorful, moist, and light cakes I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!!!

It was our first time in Destin and we were craving cupcakes. We came across this place up on searching and hands down the best cupcakes I have had. They are very soft and moist. Its a must go if you love cupcakes and are in town.

Smallcakes make hundreds cupcakes for our wedding! They were, of course super yummy, and perfect. They made the experience seamless. I came in and sat down with the baker, she went over portion size and flavors with me. I picked up my cupcakes the day of the wedding and everything was just as expected! THANK YOU!!

I truly appreciate the customer service the staff has. I contacted them about a cake with a design that they dont really specialize in and they were so professional! Even though they werent able to fulfill my order, I appreciate them being honest and even providing some recommendations of other places that could create the design I wanted.

Over priced for what you get. Person behind register rushed us to order (NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE PLACE). Just walked in and was looking at cupcakes to decide with (none of the cupcakes were the ones pictured on the wall) Didnt understand the rush to order that we felt. $13.00 for 2 cupcakes that were just average tasting cupcakes, was a bit much also.

We purchased a six pack—- they were not moist enough probably because they’ve been sitting out all day; they wanted a tip when all they do is hand you a cupcake—they already cost 3.75 a pop unless you buy more— I can make a cake mix taste better— the wedding cake—almond flavor had the best flavor but not enough almond extract in the frosting or the cupcake.Nothing special about these cupcakes, unless you just want sweet! The girls were not too friendly either.

I had high expectations for this place since I was from out of town, however I was disappointed. I had to wipe the front counter since the employee overfilled my mason jar milkshake and did not do anything to even help. The iced latte I ordered was bland and I did not get the extra cream I asked for. The cupcakes were not worth the price and I wasted a solid $30 for something not even worth praising.

Ordered the medium sized cookie dough cake for my twins 21st birthday for 9 people. All ate and still have plenty left over. It was the absolute best cake everyone has ever had. If u need a cake in Destin this is a must!

Hands down AMAZING! My husband and I got married on 12.15.18 and they did a catering size order of cupcakes in a variety of (special) requested flavors. They were amazing and the guests RAVED about them. I am so glad we went with them for our wedding. They truly rock and were so easy to work with!

Box mix cupcakes and Pillsbury tub icing with stuff mixed in to make flavors beyond chocolate and vanilla. And is that Hersheys syrup squirted on top?? What a waste of time, money, and excitement. Cant believe cupcakes from a tub of preservatives and hydrogenated oil are $4 a piece. Could have gotten a box of hostess chemical cakes.

I did an email inquiry and it took over a week for them to respond to my email to say just call us and then when I called they said they were too booked to do it a week out . Very disappointed!

Do you believe in love at first sight? It may have been the mouthwatering scent wafting from this store but it took all the willpower I posses to not get a dozen cupcakes. Their selection is immaculate and took me about 10 minutes to decide on 4 cupcakes. Maple bacon, peanut butter cup, strawberry, and salted caramel crunch. Not one was eaten in vain. This place has the best cupcakes I have ever experienced, and trust me, it IS an experience. I have never been more impressed with miniature cakes in my life.

As seen on food network, the cupcakes here are absolutely amazing. Easy to find, just use the google maps app to locate. We purchased six at a better price and all six were absolutely amazing. The best was the kentucky bourbon cupcake. Get there early because your favorites may sell out mid afternoon. Yummy, absolutely yummy!

I recently visited their Destin location to purchase the mini cupcakes for my 1st grade parents for Parent Night. I have some very generous parents who give their time to volunteer and supplies to support my class and I wanted to show my appreciation to them in a “small” way. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, the owner who I feel so guilty for not asking her name and introducing myself to, runs out and flags me down. She tells me she has some extra cupcakes she’d like to give to the teachers and boxes up an additional dozen FREE! I am so blown away by her thoughtfulness and generosity! Thank you Smallcakes for bring a smile to heart as well as my stomach!

Service super friendly with 24 hour notice for special orders. The cakes are made from scratch and are artistically expressed beautifully. My 2 year old son was stoked and ate it in its entirety. Thanks for the satisfying experience, will definitely be back again.

The cost was half the price we were quoted by other bakers in town.Their team is super friendly. Will definitely choose small cakes 100x over if this marriage doesn’t work out and I have to do it all again.
