They have a great setup to experience systems you are looking for. One of the hardest things about buying home theater systems is knowing how good it will be BEFORE buying it. They make this possible which is a great reason to check it out.
Kevin helped me set up my security, lighting and sound system in my new house and showed me how everything works. He was very thorough and explained how each system worked and helped me get all the apps and log ins that I needed. I am very pleased with him and AVI systems and would highly recommend them!

AVI came highly recommended for my Control4 system that had been installed by a different company when we built our house a few years ago. Kevin responded to my online request for an upgrade to the software of the system and he took his time in helping me, offering to help, and really going above and beyond the initial request for an upgrade. I hired AVI to come over to look at some issues I was having with my Control4 system this spring. Kevin came by, followed all the Covid guidelines, and was able to troubleshoot and fix my issues.A month or two later - Kevin checked in to see how things were going. I had some additional issues after trying to install some used dimmers in other areas of the house . He was able to text me some helpful information, I got them installed last week, and then Kevin set up a time to remotely get things working.We just got done via text and our house is working at 100%. Been trying for 5 months to get a broken speaker system replaced. Never intended to leave a bad review, but a one star is reflective of the level of service/quality.

Contacted AVI and Jim Young responded with an invitation to come to their shop to listen to the Klipsch Forte III speakers. My wife and I went together as we need to agree on sound system components as she likes background music in the house when we are home. Listened to the newest version of these Klipsch Heritage line and really enjoyed the sound. Had Jim order them in Black Ash, and with a bit of good timing, we were actually able to the Special Edition version of the speakers in Ebony with the black/white metallic grills. They look and sound beautiful! THANK YOU JIM! Great job!

I dealt with Jim Young about 4 years ago to purchase a sub and to install rear surrounds for my system. The install didnt go smoothly but the installers were young & appeared to struggle a bit. Recently I dealt with him again to repair a Klipsch speaker he had repaired 2 years ago. The failed component was not his fault but the service has been horrible, promising to check on availability of parts & call me back - which never happens nor does he return calls. When I finally do reach him, there is always another issue he has to check on & get back to me which he never does. Frustrated beyond belief! If you need a product and AVI is the cheapest, it may be worth your while. But if you will need service, I suggest you check elsewhere to spend your $$.

Kevin was really helpful with tweaking our system. He was knowledgeable, quick and through. We were having issues with the wi-fi in the house and he did all the checks necessary and got it working.
Within the first two minutes of walking into AVI, I knew that my experience would be absolutely fantastic. I worked with Cami and she is not only professional, kind, and patient, but incredibly knowledgeable. She was easily able to answer all of my questions with ease (even the technical ones). There was one question that she did not know the answer to and she immediately went to go hunt down the answer. I love that about the experience, there was no question about their level of integrity. AVIs passion for customer service, making sure the customer gets exactly what they want, and offering other options if the original item feels out of budget, is out of this world. Their ability to sell without being pushy was awesome. I will be telling everyone I know / will meet that even mentions anything related to upgrading their AV in home about my experience with AVI. We bought a home theatre system from them about 3 years ago. Its been great. The screen is amazing. We searched for the best screen out there for an open room with lights on for other activities. The picture quality is great whether the room lights are on or off.

Kevin solved our intermittent to no sound problem. Our cable signal inputs to a TIVO then to a receiver and out to the T.V. and 5.1 surround all interfaced with a Control 4. Not an easy issue to troubleshoot. Kevin’s persistence solved the problem; we have had no issues since his service call. He was punctual for his appointment and his professionalism gave use the confidence that he could solve our issue. Kevin has followed up with us several times to verify that we were not happing any sound problems. In this day and age, how many technicians do that? You can count on AVI and Kevin to provide that caliber of customer service. Well done!
Actually, I want give them no star. I purchased house from builder and Jim was the sales person to promote their company products. he cheated on their company products.1: I told him I want the security system can send notification to my phone when I am not home, he told me it’s ok, no extra fee, however, after I met security guy, he said if you want that service, you need upgrade to control4 and you also need to pay $100 per year ( Jim mentioned 100 per year, but he said that is for if you want they send notification to police office), but that’s not truth, the security guy said if you want notification to you, you need to pay 100, not for policy office.2: if I know the truth, they system what I have is only send you notification when you home, I won’t instal this service because I said I need notification when I am not home. I spent almost 2k to instal this system and it’s means nothing to me. If I need control4 I need spend addition 2k for that service, which means total 4-5k. However, I can just purchase ring system or other company service which don’t need that money.I felt the sales person Jim was cheating when he show me the options. The company isn’t good for security system and I felt like I was cheated when I choose the options. I don’t know where I can complain about that. If any person concern this company service, please be careful and be attention. I will strongly said no this company, because it’s not big company and I don’t think if you don’t satisfied with them and they will care about you.After owner response:The owner never blame the sales person Jim was low about the product and still ask I should contact them if I want to have those service and the price quote is additional 2K at least if I remembered correct. The point here is the sales person lie at the beginning and the owner just don’t take the responsibility at all. Overall. All been cheated customer should file the company as the worst company forever.

Kevin from AVI is great. AVI wasn’t the initial Control4 dealer that installed my system and when I had an issue and my software needed to be upgraded the initial installer wouldn’t even return my calls for months. So I decided to try another control4 installer. I contacted AVI and Kevin was able to get my system back online within a few minutes and completed the multiple software upgrade remotely. I would recommend AVI and Kevin to any new or more importantly existing customers.

Purchased a 4 camera system. Had issues with Mac support but Kevin cleared them up.
Not really that great. Purchased a home with Oakwood Homes and this is a “Preferred” company that does their audio/video along with low voltage solutions. Not really impressed. Purchased to have a conduit installed in the wall from my fireplace to the side of the wall to nicely hide cables. Went to fish the HDMI through and they didn’t even put the conduit close to the plate and I had to remove the plate just to use it, and also had to replace the wall gang plates to a better quality and better suit for what’s needed. Not all of my cat5 drops were terminated, and they didn’t label all the wires and didn’t really keep it clean. I am going through to clean it up and make it a ton better than what was left, but kind of pointless to pay all this money for myself to replace and fix a lot of it.
Horrible!!! I want this system out of my house & every penny I spent back. Pretty much everything (outdoor lighting, speakers, internet, cameras ect ect....) has not been working properly since the first few months. Every time you call them for help the person who can help you isnt there & then he never calls back. Then we give up after a few weeks, call back & then receive the same song a dance again. This time though they want $100 to come out & look at it......SERIOUSLY!!! The location where all the wires are is a nightmare & I couldnt even begin to try to fix anything. I would never recommend this company & their products to anybody.
Caveat emptor! Unfortunately the experience of doing business with AVI was one of the worst, if not the worst, customer service experience I ever had. I purchased both dysfunctional equipment that was never replaced (carbon monoxide detector) and was disappointed with the turnaround time for programming and constantly received the run around. In addition, AVI did not want to swap out the tv I purchased for a larger unit cause they inappropriately claimed the tv was a “special order piece” and not returnable. Huh? That’s a new one! Anyways, the owner consistently ducked my requests for service once they were paid. I suggest taking your business elsewhere as I ultimately did and am very pleased with that decision…….
