Ok the pizza here was actually really good! I got a pepperoni pizza and it said that it came with honey. I was a little skeptical if that would actually be any good and if I’d like it or not, but it was actually such a fun combo for a pizza and I really enjoyed it! The waitress checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything, snd they were all super nice. A well kept place, clean, and good food!
Nice view while eating decent food. We’re visiting from New Orleans…northern food is just bland to us..however this place was pretty darn tasty. The hostess was super duper nice, but can’t say the same for our server. He seemed in a mood. He walked off before my husband was done ordering. The food did come out quick, so that was good. Unfortunately, our server never came to check on us when we needed things. He just brought us our check without acknowledging us. We still left a tip because it’s tough out there & he mighta just been having himself a bad day. I recommend the Nashville sandwich!
Stopped here on a Sunday for a quick brunch. No need for reservations if you have less than six in your party. We got there around 11:30am and its was pretty busy, but only had a 15 min wait. The staff here are SUPER nice and accommodating. I think the owner was there too (not only greet customers), but also ran food out to the tables. Loved their wood fired pizza. Crust was crispy and Sauce was on point, but there was a hint of sweetness on the crust that Im not used to. Other than that, I had no complaints. Will definitely be back to try their Nashville Chicken!
If you go here without getting the baked goat cheese then I will be shaking my head. It was- okay honestly no words for it. IT WAS SO GOOD. And it comes with their oak bread and let’s just say we definitely ordered a second serving of oak bread. I ordered the margherita pizza and was so so impressed. The flavors blended perfectly together and it was just the right amount of crispiness. The other pizza I tried was the P & A and if you’re adventurous, you’ll like it!!Because this place is so good, be prepared to have a bit of a wait. it’s that good though so don’t let the wait stop you.
What happened to you guys? Seriously. When I first came here just over a year ago, this was the best pizza in Utah with amazing appetizers. Ive been here twice in the last few months and everything is wrong now. Cauliflower appetizer frozen on the inside. Chicken wings not cooked. My precious pizza even almost inedible. Service is embarrassing now. Like what happened? I met the individual who started this place during my first visit here after a wonderful evening. If you are reading this now, please fix whatever has changed. Im embarrassed Ive recommended this place to many friends at this point. When you fix whatever is going on, please let me know and Id love to experience what I did during my first visits a year or so ago.
This is such a darling place! The food is so good, legit everything Ive gotten has tasted great!! The staff is so kind & leave the cutest notes when I pick up my orders 🥰 I havent eaten in due to covid, but I am super excited to try out their breakfast cocktails when I do go it!My sisters orders have kinda been all over the place. The first time the toast was pretty burnt, though Im told it was still awesome; she wouldnt let me taste it. The next time the pot pie was cold. Once it was warmed up, it was super yummy; I did taste that!10/10 would recommend checking them out for brunch!
Fantastic food - not so fantastic service. This place is really cool - great atmosphere, decorated and designed really cool, and the food is amazing. But the service is so-so. I went for a work lunch with a group of 5 (including myself) and we waited 25 minutes to get a table when the majority of tables were open. When asked, the hostess said they were short staffed. Regardless, the staff that was working did not feel a need to work efficiently or quickly - they were slow in our interactions and their attitudes and manners were a bit haughty and definitely unapologetic. I don’t know that I’d return - It’s too bad, cause the food is good.
Overall, a very positive experience. The service was good; decent selection of beer. The pizza was really good, however, a little heavy on the cheese, but good none the less. The pasta seemed fresh/handmade, however, it was a bit bland, but cooked nicely. This is definitely the best pizza Ive had since Ive moved here in July. There is so much to love about this place, they really do care and put in the effort. Take what I say (the negative) with a grain of salt, my wife and I are both chefs, so our standards are extremely high. This place is legit, Ill be coming back. Id also highly recommend it, which is saying a lot.
This place has quickly become my new favorite place. Not only is the restaurant quaint, modern and hip, the food is pretty darn good. The firewood pizza tend to be my most favorite. After visiting with Courtney and Lacey for dinner, they shared Sundays for brunch.Well, we have visited twice for brunch and darn, while I want to keep this place a secret, I cant get enough of the chicken and waffles. The food is great, well priced, and great flavors. Brunch is off the hook! And can I say, the staff is absolutely amazing. This crew works hard, and it shows. They have great chemistry which makes for a fun environment. The music is great, the service is great. I cant say enough good things about them and the restaurant. Give it try!
Came here for brunch and was sadly a little disappointed. Ive been for dinner and that was very good! But for whatever reason their brunch menu was severely limited. My chicken and waffles was good, but both my eggs were basically hard boiled, as were my husbands, and his fries were very overcooked. Hopefully just an off day! Id still like to come back when theyre brunch menu is in full swing.
One interesting thing about this place is that they have a seasonal menu. We were asking the waitress about pictures we had seen of some of their dishes, but they aren’t on the menu right now. Not to worry, they had some other incredible dishes. Definitely try the baked goat cheese as it is one of their specialties. The setting is a very open environment and the sound carries. Even though we were here during COVID when the tables are spread out and there are fewer people there was still quite a bit of noise from other guests. We showed up about 6:45 on a Friday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table. They will take your phone number and text you when the table is ready.Great service and excellent food!
Pretty disappointing experience. Seems very disorganized. Came here with my family and waited 20 minutes + to get a table just to find out when we were seated that if we wanted to order pizza (which- it’s a pizza place) that it would take about an hour- we had already waited and were on a time crunch. My sister and I both got the salmon and it was interesting to say the least. Would not recommend. My cousin ordered the burger (as well as my father in law) but for some reason one of the burgers didn’t come out until a good 15 minutes after the rest of our meals made it to our table. No one was overly satisfied with their food (or decently satisfied, honestly). The menu was not accurate either (cheese in unexpected places, no onions when they said there would be, etc). They were really short staffed. Also we saw other people get pizza sooner than an hour so that’s a bummer. Also bathrooms didn’t have paper towels and the restaurant was FREEZING the whole time. Very uncomfortable. Will never come here again and I’ll tell friends and family to avoid this restaurant.
Food is delicious! Owner is a stud. Its been a little spotty, though. At times, they have been out of certain dishes or beers that surprised me. Surely due to the supply chain issues in the country (LGB). Stop by, though, youll love it!
Have been here a few times. First time was good but its been down hill from there. The last visit Chicken wings were not fully cooked, the pizza was soggy and service was slow and unimpressive. Ambiance is nice.
The food was really good. This 5 star rating is for the food only. The service was not horrible but I felt like our servers did not want to be there. And was kinda surprised when we left that the employees that watched us leave didnt say by or thanks for coming in we will definitely go back because the food was really good. And the music made it even better. Thanks Steven Bosco for setting a great atmosphere. Hopefully next time the servers will be in a better mood.
Just walked out for the terrible non existent service. The restaurant was not busy at all with many empty tables. One of the hostess did bring us water but told us she could not take any orders and would get the waitress. We waited over 10 mins and nobody showed up. I then went inside and stood at the front reception to get attention but no one acknowledged me other than the 2 guys working the pizza counter joking and laughing amongst themselves. After 5 mins of standing there, I just grabbed my stuff and told the guys that Im leaving. They responded with, Okay.
Really enjoy the food here. I love the steak gorgonzola salad, and theyre goat cheese app is to die for yummy.
Delicious food. My wife loved the Margherita pizza, it had a lot of flavor. The ambiance is nice. The couches in front are comfy and homey—perfect if you have to wait to be seated. The fried cauliflower had great flavor. It has a small amount of spice but not much. The small salad is pure arugula, but good, but probably not enough dressing. The pappardelle was delicious.
If I could leave less I would. Our party sat, it took a while to get drinks, waitress came back for appetizers and we were all ready to order our meal but she left. Came back we placed our orders. She told us the pot pie would take a little while which we agreed to. 1/2 of the parties food came out (pizzas). My husband asked for the side salad he ordered, to which she responded “it’ll come out with your meal” which didn’t come for approximately another hour. My sister asked multiple times for a refill of water to which the waitress responded “I’ll come back with a pitcher” but never did and ended up drinking my sons. After half the party has finished, the other half meals came out. We got there about 11:30 and weren’t able to leave till 1:00. I understand staffing shortages but I feel our needs were not met. I will not be returning
Tastes like hot garbage. Ordered the wood fired pancake and it came out burnt on the outside and doughy on the inside. Jam on top was a sour fruit purée and totally gross. The menu is limited and while this is not something I would normally order, it sounded like the best thing on the menu. Clearly I was wrong. This restaurant is an expensive mistake.
Delicious food. Baked goat cheese was amazing. Live music was good.. (wasnt overwhelming loud like some places)
To say this food was tasty is an understatement! The pizza, burgers, pasta and chicken pot pie were all excellent. The wait staff was super friendly. I dont even like chicken pot pie but I tasted my husbands and honestly it was like heaven. Would highly recommend.
I stopped in for lunch when I was working in Draper because Im always up to try some Pizza. I ordered the pepperoni pizza because all the other pizzas sounded like they were created as some sort of food experiment. They might be really good, Ill just start with plain old Pepperoni, cause thats one I know. I noticed they put some honey on it, and wow! was that good. It was a delicious pie, and now Ill have to return to try the others. My server was kind and efficient - kept me unthirsty. Definitely better for a date with the wife than lunch alone since its a full service sit-downy place and priced accordingly. Thanks guys!
Amazing pizza!!! Defenetly the best pizza I have had in Utah! It reminds me a lot of Italian pizza, its not like American pizza at all. The dough is fresh and delicious and the ingredients are simple but so rich of flavor! We went there on a Saturday so it was a bit busy and the pizzas took about 30 minutes to come out but it was worth the wait time. Our server was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice! They have fresh real flowers on every table and the overall decorations of the place are really nice. The waiting room is a bit small but its very pretty with a couch, seats and plants. We are definitely coming back!
We have been here multiple times and have always enjoyed the different menu choices. This time we felt a little deceived. We ordered the CHICKEN pot pie (yes it says chicken on the menu). There was no chicken anywhere in the dish. We asked about it, and was told that they changed it to not include chicken anymore. Really dissatisfied tonight. Good thing it wasn’t our first time, or else we would not go back. Bring back the chicken in the CHICKEN pot pie !!
Order placed stated ready in 20 minutes . Got here after 25 mins and Was told a 5 mins wait as it was almost ready . After 5 mins was told another 7 mins cuz apparently my order happened between their shift change . Not worth it if they can’t even value a customers time . Not recommended
Ambience was great, the server was awesome! But I could have whipped up a better pasta with my eyes closed, and I’m pretty sure they forgot to add the cheese in the fried cheese curds, it was fried air. Hate to leave a review like this, but gross.
So good! My boys and I really enjoy eating there. If the price were more reasonable, we’d eat there more often. Nonetheless, when we want to treat ourselves to a yummy brunch, we swing by there. The staff has always been friendly and give good suggestions. Our brunch favorites are the waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and oak burgers.
Seems like a place run by 20 somethings that think adding exotic ingredients makes everything taste better. It wasnt bad, but definitely wasnt great. I couldnt even finish my bloody Mary and neither could my partner. Has potential, but they have much to learn about subtle flavoring and good quality cooking.
The alcoholic drinks they offer are just okay. The food we ordered, pizza, chicken sandwich, and fries were great. The pizza was crunchy and very flavorful in all the right ways!
Im visiting from California and stumbled on this restaurant. The food is great. Dallas, our server was very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this eatery. 👍❤😋
Place is normally awesome. Jaeda was our server and it wasn’t a great experience. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, we got our drinks and ordered our food and my food came out immediately. I told her, my food came out before anything, she responded with what would I like her to do. I was like I don’t want to eat in front of my date with no other food or appetizer on the table. When she brought food out, she brought same food I had before with wilted greens that had been sitting and when I confronted her she argued and left the table. Just not a good night and I’m guessing she probably will not be there long. Sorry for the bad review this place is normally great but service has got to change before I go back.
Cozy, friendly, eat at your own pace. We were not rushed. Ask for Courtney, she provided us everything we needed, when we wanted it
Went for a late lunch, after any potential rush. The first impression was from the hostess, who attempted to seat us at a small wall bound 2 top when there were at least 8 open 4 tops. We asked to be seated at a 4 top, to which she agreed with a huge eye roll, no bueno customer service. After that confrontation with arrogance, everything else was excellent. Our server was pleasant and woke to the no straws request, the first Utah server to do so. Kudos to her! We each had pizza, and wow, perfect chewy coal marked crust, top notch ingredients. I food looked at other tables and everything I saw was up to snuff. This may be the best pizza in Utah. You should not hesitate to go to this restaurant.
Used to be my number one place for brunch. The menu is small (probably to push people to there other brunch location “Sundays Best”) they sandwich is soggy in a second, the chicken in the chicken and waffles was burnt and hard (gross) to eat. I got my food before my two friends, 10 minutes one more plate came, and then another 10 minutes the last plate arrive. You have two choices eat while everyone watches you or let your food get cold. I wouldn’t go to this location. It doesn’t seem like a it wanted anymore. There old menu was one of the best in the state.
Decent atmosphere. Mediocre food. There was hardly any meat in my greasy pasta, and when I requested more it was just a bunch of fat. Very overpriced. Terrible service. We had to literally request a check 3 different times before we got one.
Been here on several occasions and really enjoyed the burger and pizza. Those items absolutely deserve 4 or maybe even 5 stars. Unfortunately this last visit I tried their “pot pie.” Now before I even get started on the flavor, the actual thing you receive isn’t even a pot pie. Literally just a piece of flaky bread and some gravy/chicken on the side. If that didn’t already sound unappealing enough, the actual gravy/chicken part genuinely tasted like gruel. Almost tasted like raw chicken to be honest. As if that wasn’t brutal enough, it costed $17! Sadly I will not come back here again until this mistake is fixed. :(
Excellent food. Without a doubt one of the top 10 best pizzas I’ve ever had.I would add a photo, three pizzas and there’s nothing left to photograph.
Visited back in June. Saw the great reviews so decided the 45 min wait was worth it. Ordered a few brews, but they were out of them so stuck with water. Ordered some garlic fries as an app and they came after about 30 min. Fries were decent. Also ordered two pizzas which showed up more than 45 min later. Started cutting up a slice for my 2 yo son to eat and found a plastic wrapper in the pizza! My wife went to get a manager who came out and examined the wrapper, then went back inside. He came back out and said he took it off the check. I was irritated as he didnt offer to make another one or anything. I then told him we were leaving and thats what we did. I couldnt tell you if their pizza is good or not, but could tell you this is the first time Ive found garbage in a pizza. Manager didnt handle it like a manager should have. We wont be back.
My husband and I split the fried chicken sandwich and a pizza. Neither of us ended up eating the sandwich. Pizza was ok but not great. I ended up eating my sons pasta dish. Servers were slow (though not because of staffing). I went in a few times and the girl was on her phone.
I heard great things about this place and it lived up to the hype! We ordered oak bread, fried cauliflower (YUM!), steak salad and steak frites. Everything was delicious and fresh! I want to go back and try a pizza and the goat cheese appetizer. Our server Zach was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about the food and a great positive energy! We loved the atmosphere as well.
Walked in and ordered steak salad, margarita pizza, oak bread. Only thing edible was oak bread. Salad dressing tasted spoiled, lettuce tasteless, and the cold steak looked like dried up shoe leather. We requested no tomatoes and no shallots on salad but the salad was covered in both. Pizza was cold and dry. Staff was confused about who we were and what we ordered even though we walked in and ordered at front counter and waited for take out order. We took food to our hotel 5 miles away so not worth the effort to return the meal. A complete waste of $45.00 which included a tip. Needless to say we wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t go again.
Overall, a great place to eat! The place is quaint and decorated in such a fun way. The food (especially the bread) was amazing. I love the unique wood-fired oven approach to cook their breads and pizzas. And the flavor was awesome! We did wait a little while due to some kitchen issues but we were informed upfront regarding the wait. We would highly recommend anyone in the area giving it a try.ps - the baked goat cheese small plate was amazing to share! :)
I have to say I’m impressed and shocked. I would first like to thank a close friend of mine for bringing me out and introducing this place to me, Ethan M. This place makes for a amazing sit down and enjoy. The decor was really modern giving it a amazing feeling when inside. The food was also amazing. A great price for the quality pizzas that are served. That just being one of the many items on the menu. The food was great and our waiter was very helpful. Overall I recommend this place and hope come back here again.
The food was just okay. A bread appetizer was burnt and served to us after we received the main entree. We had been seated for 10 or 15 minutes when they asked us to move from the table they had seated us at to another one, so they could seat a larger party at the one we were at. A bit tacky, especially when youre dropping $100+ for three people. If somebody else is buying, or I had to go there for a specific reason, Id go. But I dont see myself going there again anytime soon.
I used to absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Amazing biscuits and gravy, their pancake was superb, and their beignets were my favorite item on the menu.We went in last weekend, excited as always to the biggest disappointment. Not only is their entire menu different, but it has none of their staple items. I was honestly shocked to see the only thing they were basically serving was a burnt chicken and waffles. Leaving their Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup bottle next to the refill station.. It was a turn-off to say the least. On top of all the changes, the service went with it. We only had a group of three and they brought our food out 20 minutes apart each. Our quick and easy brunch lasted over an hour due to this. Additionally I’m almost positive they have the thermostat set for 65° and we were directly under the vent. It was so cold and uncomfortable. And while waiting for our friend’s food, we wanted to be respectful and waited to eat which made our food cold cold. There is no reason we should have waited 20 minutes between each meal. Our friend group has been coming here for years and we will not be returning nor will I be recommending it anymore. What a disappointment! Maybe if their menu goes back. We don’t all want to go to Sunday’s Best.
You can feel when you walk in that this place is missing someone who cares. Supplies and garbage all over the closed bar top, one poor server trying to take care of all tables, a pizza that comes out before your beer, an appetizer that comes out after your pizza… I want to like this place, Draper needs it, but unfortunately it is missing that required TLC.
Came in with the family and had an amazing time! Thanks to Sai we had a very memorable experience!Definitely coming back.
A joke. Not a great experience. Has influencers out spreading the word about their company, displaying and discussing offers for your first visit, but when someone visits and attempts to redeem the offers, you’re not honoring them. That’s not cool. At all.
We visited OAK for a girl’s night. Our server, Abe was kind and on top of our needs with drinks and keeping the table clean the whole night despite being busy with several other tables. He helped me choose a delicious option I loved for my meal. We had a great time. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and delicious pizza, salad, and fries. You can even watch as the pizza chef’s hand-toss your dough. Later, one of the chefs, came around to our table to make sure we were happy with our meal. What a personable thing to do! We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place for a fabulous meal in Draper!
Tonight we took the opportunity and decided to try something new. My spouse and I are big foodies and we both really enjoyed our meal and server (Brooke) tonight. We live past Spanish Fork and will 100% be back. The food was AMAZING, every dish we ordered was delicious, presented nicely. We had the papa Juan pizza, Nashville chicken sandwich, house fires and the BOMB ranch. I know there was an issue with the paper receipts not printing in the kitchen but the whole team worked together and made sure every customer was taken care of. We will be back to Oakwood Fire Kitchen just primarily for the yummy fries. (I will be dreaming about those fries) When you go, ask for Brooke she is an expert at taking care of her tables and is very attentive to her customer’s. She is bubbly and took her time to answer our questions. We really appreciated her tonight. We will be back again.
Great place. Stopped in on a trip from Austin and loved it. Good was great and we sat at the bar because most of the tables were full.Brandon the owner was behind the bar making pizzas and fresh bread right there in front of us. They have full liquor license and a great wine selection! I would highly recommend this place if youre in the Sandy and Draper area of Utah.
The food and service was exceptional. You will not be disappointed. I had the chicken salad and it was delicious.
Excellent food and service. Today was our second visit and we have no complaints. You should try the goat cheese.
Honestly, I thought it was going to be very slow but it was super fast, the food came out fast, very warm and delicious. The workers were all very awesome and polite.
Fantastic wood fired pizza! The service was also phenomenal. The new head chef (Charlemagne) has really brought this restaurant to life! I cant recommend it enough! Go eat here! Youll love it!
I had oven roasted carrots, which was very comforting. Carrots are one of my favourite foods. Preparation had a nice opd world feel to it, very flavorful. Also had rosemary bread. So good! I came off the train and was bored so I wandered town and found this place. Also the 2 ladies working there were very sweet. There were also 2 chefs.
The. Best. Pizza. In. Utah. I am so picky about my pizza. And this exceeds all expectations. The crust is crispy yet chewy, just the right saltiness. They didn’t skimp on the sauce or mozzarella. The tomato sauce was so fresh and subtle. We will be back many times. From the time we placed our order til it was finished was 10-15 mins. Curbside pickup was so easy. 5/5 stars.
Oak Wood Kitchen is absolutely wonderful! First of all, their food was amazing. Very flavorful and well made. Secondly, their staff is amazing! Incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. We had a bit of a hiccup with our order which wasnt a big deal and mostly my fault but they fixed it right away and were very accommodating and friendly through all of it. My husband and I were very impressed and next time were in Draper we will make it a priority to visit again.
Terrible service. Food was ok. Pasta was over cooked and mushy. My wife got her pasta before we got our appetizer. Then we waited over 15 minutes and our appetizer and pizza still had not come. My wife was done with her pasta and we watched two other tables get their food before we did even though we ordered before they did.
Great food! The fried cauliflower was amazing and they had great pizza. The service was a little slow but definitely a total recomend!
Oak burgers, fries, and salad were ALL amazing! Plus the wine, patio, great music, and exceptional service! Will definitely be back!
I really liked this place. It was my first time here and we shared three of the plates to try some different food. We liked all that we tried. The food is well seasoned and it has distinct flavor in each dish. I was very impressed and will return for another meal. Both of the small plates we ordered had a good amount of food on them.
Very good dinner spot. Service and food was excellent.
Manager is a super chill dude. Also their pizza is phenomenal. Best dang pizza Ive ever tried.
The food wasn’t worth the price. The atmosphere was cute but the service was awful. I won’t be coming back.
OAK Bread is super good, never had anything like it before. Their pizza is top-notch, wood fired is the way to go. We were even treated to love music the night we went. It is a bit of a wait, but the food is worth it.
Told me my order would take 15-20 minutes. 45 minutes later, I got one hot pizza, one cold pizza, and a cold appetizer. Recommending despite my lackluster experience because the food tasted very good and I could tell it would have been exceptional if it was still warm.
Been here 3 times over the last 6 months. I loved their chicken pot pie when I had it in February, truly one of the best meals I’ve had. Went back for brunch and it was pretty good too. Went back yesterday for a birthday dinner and to get that delicious chicken pot pie. Unfortunately the experience was really bad. Poor service from both the hosts and the waitress. The waitress hardly came to our table and seemed to be on her phone while serving us. They were out of the chicken pot pie so I opted for the Ragu. Each meal came one at a time 15 minutes apart and pie starter came after the entree. The ragu was not good at all, tasted almost like nothing. The noodles were very gummy and hard to chew. There was barely any beef as well. It was drowning in butter. The other meals were cold and not cooked to the preferred temperature asked. So sad to say that I will not be dining here anymore.
Worst service my family has ever had. We went in for a great family get together and ended up having the worst experience we have had in as long as we can all remember. The food was food but the service was atrocious. If you get the blond waitress with pink dyed hair its best you just leave. She took our order and then we never saw her again. We heard other tables complaining about her as well but gave it no thought. I literally had to flag down another waiter to get our check then after another 20 minutes had to flag him down again just to pay the bill. We almost just left it was so ridiculous. Will not go back and it is too bad because the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Hopefully you have a better experience than our family and friends had.
Best margherita pizza ever!!! They have biodegradable straws, best bread ever and service was super friendly
They were really busy so wait time was about 2 hours. I seem to remember them having more pizza selections. Meatballs were old and dry. An off night for them for sure.
I cannot speak highly enough, the food was fantastic, the cocktails are delicious and creative, and the atmosphere was so much fun. Not to mention the service was great. If youre on the fence, this is your place.
DO NOT EVER PICKUP FROM MERCHANT. THEY ARE SLOW AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT DELIVERY DRIVERS STANDING IN THEIR LOBBY FOR OVER 30 MINUTES WAITING FOR AN ORDER. I WAS IGNORED AND WHEN I DID GET SOMEONE ATTENTION THEY HAD HALF THE ORDER WRONG. HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE THE RIGHT PIZZA FOR THE RIGHT PERSON. THEIR STAFF NEED TO BE BETTER TRAINED AND PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO THE DELIVERY DRIVERS. THE ORDER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE AT 8.20 AND IT WASNT AND I WALKED OUT AT 8.50. IT LOOKS BAD FOR ME AND BAD FOR THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE NOW THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER DELIVERY DRIVER. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE STAFF. I KNOW ITS SATURDAY NIGHT BUT WHEN YOU HAVE 3 DRIVERS WAITING WAKE UP AND HELP THEM. IF YOU WANT YOUR FOOD FAST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
We visited yesterday for a quick lunch. Note: it was not that quick. It’s a cute place. Decor is nice. The hostess was very warm. We were seated quickly, and the girl who seated us promptly brought out water for the table which was nice. That was as far as the good service went though. Our blonde waitress was too busy texting on her phone and flirting with the male staff to help us out much. She even whipped out her cell phone while standing at our table and then started texting on it as soon as she started walking away. She was still using it the next time she came back to our table, and kept it in one hand as she used the other to take a plate. When she would come to our table (the few times she did) she would just slowly drag herself around the restaurant like it was such a task.Be prepared to wait a while if you’re ordering pizza too. We tried to be understanding, as most places are short staffed right now. It just didn’t seem busy enough to take so long.I get this isn’t a high end spot, but the servers could obviously use a little training to make the experience better.Food was good. Service was lacking. Wait was long.
Pizza dough is really really good. Food is super fresh. It is a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it.My personal favorite menu dishes are the Heirloom Squash Toast, Biscuits & Gravy, Pepperoni Pizza, & the Goat Cheese w/the Oak bread. I luv the passion that the owner is putting in to this place. Every time I come in, hes there to, busting his butt like everyone else. That speaks volumes.Definitely a must try place! 🔥
I enjoyed OAK Wood Fire Kitchen. I got the southside pizza and it was good. A little pricey though for what you get. I liked my pizza. But I wouldnt go out of my way to get it again. Another member of our group got the burger and it honestly looked great. Everything was really fresh and the décor was nice.
Goat cheese appetizer is a must! Was underwhelmed by the prosciutto pizza. The pepperoni was surprisingly better than expected!
