This is the best cycle shop around hands ✋ up. I been with other bicycle repair shops but Kamals personal touch is the icing in the cake. He took extra care with making sure everything is right p our bicycle. Took the bike in the morning and it was fixed later that day. I needed some parts for my Grandsons Mafia bike and looked all over the world for it literally. Just about to give up and boom Drexel Hill Cyclery came through with flying colors. They have an old school type web site compared to all the fancy new webs of other cycle shops that are listed as Mafia dealers, so I made the mistake of calling all the fancy web shops first, No enthusiasm in helping me make things good again for my grandboy. You know what! Drexel Hill may have an old school web, But they also have old fashion good service and an old school bend over backwards for your customers caring approach to business that is hard to find these days. When the deal is done and service is rendered you feel like you made a friend in the business. Thank You for caring.

I sent a message and they promptly responded. I took my bike to get checked out and it was ready the next day. the cost of repairs was inexpensive. I recommend this shop.

My daughter and I took grandsons bmx in for a quick handlbar job. The 2 workers never acknowledged us and after waiting 15 mins, we left and went to Cycle Sport in Media and were ackowledged and handlebars fixed in less than 5 mins.

I needed some bearings for a hub, had what I needed, was very helpful at a highly fair price. Definitely will return for bike-related needs.

The owner of the shop, Kamal, was incredibly patient, attentive, and thorough asking me about the intended purpose for the bike and walking me through the pros/cons of different options. Also gave me a free tune-up with the purchase!Very affordable pricing, quick turn-around on repairs, and phenomenal customer service. Wide array of bike accessories and used/new bikes also available from what I saw. A 15-minute drive from West Philly, but well-worth the trip for the service you get. My new go-to shop!

Ive been riding for close to 12 years. On road + offroad + you name it. Great shop run by very knowledgeable staff. They will always do what is right by your bike. They arent about the money and will simply do what is best for your needs. I will bring my bikes here always. The mechanics can do everything from a simple lube to a complete overhaul. I will always trust this shop to do what i need.

I took my old second-hand bike into this shop just before closing for what I thought might be kinks in the chain. The longtime owner, Frank, fixed it on the spot, perhaps because I am taking it on vacation in a few days, perhaps because I caught him at the right time. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. Diagnosed the issue, replaced the chain for an affordable price, gave me tips on my gears, brakes and bike trails. The man loves his job. The new owner, Kamal, is a great guy, too. This shop is a gem. (I updated based on Franks correction that he has passed the baton--wish I had a bike analogy here--to Kamal.)

Ive gone in multiple times to have the tires fixed on my bicycle. The owner told me about functionality I didnt know the bike had, and the assistant showed me how to replace tires on my own! Work is always quick and at a great price, I can just grab lunch nearby and pick my bike back up when Im done.

Took three bikes for repair. All other shops in the tri county area had a month wait. Not here, only one week!! Tune ups and brake repairs on three bikes for a very reasonable price.

I went here 3 times to get my bike tuned up/repaired. The first 2 trips to this bicycle store I had the bikes attached on a car so I wasn’t in a rush or some sort, we got in and told us about how long it would take and it wasn’t really long depends on our situation. But the last time which was the 3rd trip, I had to bike my “broken” bike to the store and it was rainy which was awful, Frank was working on another bike, but since he saw me and I told him that I will be biking home, he immediately worked on the bike which took about 5-10 minutes. From that I knew that I had to come to this person to fix my bike, he’s really passionate about this job and I would recommend to a friend 100%. Respect the owner and you’ll get respect back. Ive been doing my own bike repairs for a few years now to save money. I dont have time to do that any more, so I brought my bike to Frank a couple of weeks ago for a hand full of parts replacements and a tune-up. He did the work for what I would have paid in parts to do it myself and the bike feels better than it did the day I bought it! Thanks!

I have gotten a dozen bikes here over the last 37 years and the owner is the reason I keep going back.I dropped off a couple bikes for repair last week and the owner was out front on his knees installing training wheels on another satisfied customers childs bike!He stands by all his work, there isnt a spoke hed overlook... a true master of his trade. In the words of Philadelphias own, Ben Franklin - The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. Buying a bike here ensures quality, safety and reliability. If you dont buy here, save this number so he can fix it for you a few months down the line;)

Won’t be back- did not fix my issue, went to another shop, and had the problem corrected. Mechanic said “I don’t know how they overlooked the BB and crank not being torqued down”. Shop at your own risk!

Frank is a great owner. When I was 10 he sold my parents my first BMX bike. Hes always fixed up our bikes. When I was in my 20s he sold me my first road bike. He is such a great guy and cycling ambassador that he gave me a pair of shoes so I could use clip-ins on the bike before that. He cares about cycling and bikes. I cant tell you enough about how he should be appreciated for what he has done keeping a shop open in our neighborhood and everybody should support this location. Im in my 30s now and even though I can now build any bike on my own I stop in once and a while.

The owner and the employee are knowledgeable and professional. We had just moved here from Texas and our bikes took a bit of a beating from the trip. The owner also shared info on good ride clubs and a few popular places to ride.

If you want quality bikes and quality service and knowledge, this is the place to buy a bike that will last you a lifetime. Dont buy online, dont buy at big box stores, you are never going to get that quality, knowledge and guarantee that this is a safe bike. Also support your small business owners, they are the back bone of this great country and the economy; not Walmart, Amazon, etc.

I bought my first touring bike from Frank when his father was the owner back in the 80s, and I have bought both a recumbent tricycle, a fold-able bike, and a childs bike at later times. Frank has always done a great job servicing my wifes bike and mine. Whenever I need to get one of my bikes fixed, Franks bike shop is always the one that is at the top of my list.

The Drexel Hill Cyclery is exactly the kind of place I envision a bike shop to be. Frank is welcoming, helpful, and informative. He has kept me on the road with my bike for a long time. As well as being a great mechanic, he also provides helpful tips about bike maintenance and riding. Each time I have brought my bike to the DH Cyclery, I have gotten it back repaired and ready to ride. This place is a hidden treasure in Delaware County.

I have been going to Franks shop for over 30 years and have bought many bikes there. One story sums it all up. I went there one morning to get my sons front wheel bearing fix for a ride that day. Frank looked at it and said it would take too long to fix for us to wait for it. He then gave us the front wheel off of his own bike to use so we could get our ride in. If you go there just once you will be a customer for life.

Frank is very nice and hard working Guy this was my first time there i got my son bicycle fix in 30min very reasonable price he is like a family with all the customer that i see came in we had a very nice conversation while I was there he been in the business 46 years coming from his dad who passed away last year was 92 years old....I highly recommend this place......

We bought 2 bikes, and helmets, and a bike carrier for our car from here, for myself and my spouse. And we got a bicycle pump for free. The price is very reasonable, and the service is amazing. The store owner is very knowledgeable, very friendly. We had no idea about what type of bike to buy, and tge owner guided us and helped us decide on the bike to buy. He also taught us a lot of things, including how to set up the bike carrier, how to pump a tire etc. We take our bikes here once a year for servicing. They have a variety of bikes, and bike accesories.They have a parking at the back of the store. Highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to buy a good bike.

I was just there today to get some adjustments on my 2019 Rad Rover electric bike. Frank, as always, was a real treat to deal with but his cohort Kamal did most of the work on the bike. K seems like a ‘chip off the old block’, a really nice and knowledgeable mechanic who described what he did in a clear and simple way that conforms to what I’ve always liked about Frank. Worst experience I ever had at any business. The owner refused to help me find the right size bike because I wasnt sure where I was going to purchase one. He told me to imagine if I was a bicycle shop owner, Then to imagine a customer asked for help but told me that they werent completely sure where they were going to buy their bike from, would you help them? I explained that I would because it would be my job. I then said I just started the search for a bike and so far I only looked online. After more disrespectful responses from the owner I told him I would take my business elsewhere. He then, in a cocky tone, told me to have a nice day. I am very surprised this man has kept this business afloat for more than a day. Disrespectful, disgrace of a human being.
