Great company and group of people to work with. I went in there and felt a very casual laid back environment. I did not have that uncomfortable typical car salesman vibe you get at most places. Basically they kept it short and sweet based on what I wanted and I drove away in a new car the next day. I was very happy with my trade amount. Shoutout to Danny and John for whom I worked with directly. Danny took the time to sit in the car with me and go over every thing and also helped me swap items over into the new car. Great salesmen, but I think they could do a better job showing you all the best features that Subaru vehicles has to offer. Most of what happened was me asking questions and getting responses, the things that were said was engine specs, but I was more interested in the interior and add-ons. Although, the support after the purchase has been great!!

I’ve been going to Riley’s to purchase my cars and to have them repaired for 20 years. The folks who work there are super nice, friendly people, and after all this time, they feel like a family. If you are a single woman this is a great place to get your car serviced. I’ve never been taken advantage of and I trust them to not sell me something I don’t need, and that trust is what keeps me going back. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to buy, trade in, or have my car serviced. Five star winners!

I walked in not exactly knowing if I was wanting a crosstrek or a forester. I have an 18 year old car that doesn’t have the capabilities that the newer ones have. Danny was an amazing salesman. I just recently purchased a 2021 Crosstrek with Riley Subaru. Rick was a fantastic help and a great salesman. I was effortlessly able to purchase my dream vehicle. Unfortunately, one week after having my Crosstrek, I was involved in a hit and run type accident. I was able to work with Josh in the body shop to have my vehicle taken in for an estimate and repair, and also given a nice rental vehicle at no additional cost or hassle. I cannot recommend Riley Subaru enough. They have everything available to you to have your car well taken care of. From initial purchase, repairs, and maintenance. I am very happy with my experience and will remain a life long customer.

Hands down THE BEST customer service I have ever experienced. When you call them they say You can count on Rileys, but then none of their menu options take you to any associate, voicemail, anything. No way to contact them by phone. It also sounds like it was recorded on speakerphone. Unprofessional.I only go to Rileys with my Subaru as a last resort and feel like paying 60% more than I need to at a couple other places in town. I recommend you get quotes from 1-2 more places before you choose this place just because its the dealership. Fortunately Subarus are good cars so I have to go here as little as possible.I appreciate that they vacuum your car and wipe down your dash when you get your car back for a repair. Thats a nice touch. Additionally, everyone Ive worked with personally here has been great. I dont fault them for their pricing.When I get a tune up elsewhere, like Midas for example, theyll show me the things they recommend so I can see theyre not bs-ing me. The new management at Midas will rip you off too, however. The previous two managements would not. Theyll say they recommend such and such in the next year or two. Heres what you need, heres what you should consider and why, and heres some things to have on your radar in the next year or two. At Rileys, its a laundry list of every little thing and to do it now and no showing you and top dollar for it.
For many years we have been having any serious repairs on our 2006 outback done at Rileys - - as we also did for our 1993 legacy wagon (246,000 miles before we gave it to a friends daughter).We live 81 miles away (in the Illinois Quad Cities) and for anything other than minor maintenance done locally, it is well worth the drive to a dealership who wants to make long-term customers-- customers who are then happy to recommend Rileys to friends and family. .Both Subarus had been bought new out-of-state (not at Rileys), and as they aged out of warranty the Service Dept at Rileys has always been willing to explain the options for keeping repair costs within reason, and to prioritize the repairs to keep the aging cars safe and reliable to use.As one example (out of many between us and friends), the quad citys subaru/cadillac/volvo dealer said we had to replace the whole (expensive) CV joint on a front axle because the rubber protective boot had a tear in it. After some research, I got a second opinion from Rileys: who said the joint had plenty of grease, didnt appear contaminated, and only needed a new rubber boot. That saved us hundreds of dollars.I did the something similar today with our 15 yr old, 175,000 mile Outback which was showing a check engine light. We asked for a diagnosis and estimate, as well as an inspection and rough estimate for any other serious issues that might be noticeable. A $60 inspection, and a frank discussion with the Service Manager, gave us the information we need to prioritize the repair of certain items (some I knew about, and some I didnt). They even washed the car before giving it back to me. Now its up to me to decide if we should fix any pressing problems (and hopefully get years more service from the car), or maybe finally move up to a new/newer car.Today I also had a brief chat with a salesman (Rick), and even met the owner of Rileys. They were nice people who made no efforts to push a car sale or repairs on me-- just a business card and an invitation to contact them if I needed more information about anything.Everyone at the dealership was friendly, professional, and also took steps to protect against the Covid virus (including mask wearing by both staff and customers). The owners (rescued) service-dog was on hand as the dealerships official greeter to keep everyone company as you waited for your car.In our many years of experience with Rileys Ive found that Rileys knows Subarus, and treats you right.

My wife and I were looking for more room than what our 2018 Crosstrek had. While we live in Cedar Rapids, we decided to look elsewhere for buying a car. We ended up getting a 2020 Forester Sport, my wife couldnt be happier. We have dealt with the local dealership for years but we went through Hell when purchasing the 2018 Crosstrek.Let me be perfectly clear. If you want a hassle free buying experience, go to Riley Subaru. Our sales representative was Rick and the finance representative was John. Both of whom kept it simple and easy for us. We definitely got what we wanted in terms of price and piece of mind. We will definitely be back when its time for my new car!
Friendly staff very good service
The staff made us feel like family, by taking us around to all of the departments and introducing us. The owner congratulated us on being a first time Subaru dealer. Two salesmen dealt with us and both were very accommodating and helpful in helping us make a decision. One took the test drive with us to explain many of the car features. They gave us a break on the price.
Rick Petitgout went above and beyond the call of duty to come in on his day off when my friends wanted to look for a car and they had to leave town the next day. Rick offered to help out and showed up along with his young daughter to answer questions and see that they received the quality of service I had told them about. I would recommend the dealership and staff to anyone looking for a no pressure, laid-back, buying experience from knowledgeable folks .

Over all had a good experience. Was treated professionally and felt like Kirk did an amazing job. Only down fall was a button was off that controls the sensors around the vehicle I purchase and cost me $500 on the second day of owning it. Which they did tell me it was an as is purchase. But I really felt like they hide the issue by turning off that feature which I had no idea it was off. I was new to a fully loaded model and was still learning everything. Well I guess I will learn from this.

Worst experience trying to buy a $24,990 vehicle with cash! They dont want to sell to you if you have cash, specifically Steve who works there. I Do NOT recommend this place at all if you have the cash to buy a vehicle, give your money to someone else because they do not deserve it.

On a whim I started searching around for an Impreza and Forester when searching I chose a 4 hour bubble around me. Riley Subaru was right on the southern tip of my bubble. I started talking to Greg Johnson who I later found out also worked with my parents (they live in Southern Wisconsin) when they bought theirs. Riley was significantly cheaper than any of my surrounding Subaru dealerships and working with Greg was very quick and easy! I knew what features I wanted but I wasnt sure whether I wanted the Impreza or the Forester when I coordinated to drive down and do my test drive. When I got there Greg had pulled both vehicles aside ready for me to take them out for my drive. COVID19 definitely made some things unusual but Rileys did a great job of making my family as comfortable as possible while we did all the paperwork, which was quicker than I am typically accustomed to when buying a vehicle. I have had the Forester a little over a month now and am very pleased with it and my experience with Greg and Rileys Subaru.

Can’t measure the disappointment, salesman was well mannered for the most part, but nothing but a glorified messenger boy. He couldn’t make decisions, talked his way around looking up financing, and when we made a solid offer without financing he took it to the owner (hence messenger boy) who proceeded to laugh alongside the salesman.The car was filthy and had not been cleaned out, dried barbecue sauce stuck on the steering wheel, and garbage scattered throughout. Expected more considering we called ahead to make sure it was available, and gave them notice that we would be there in a few days. After all of this they gave a low ball trade in offer (1500) under kbb value, and still seemed surprised we walked out. Save your time and your sanity, go to a certified dealership (which Riley Subaru is NOT)
Repeat customer. My sales associate was very helpful and friendly. They answered any questions I had, and I had *a lot* of questions. Hours were convenient: I was able to visit after work and not be in a rush. Inventory was a bit low given it was tax return month, but they were still able to find a fantastic vehicle for me in my price range. Looked like all inventory was available on their own site as well as 3rd party sites. Overall, I was very happy with my car buying experience, and I would be happy to do business with Rileys again in the future.

Riley body shop: upon the recommendations of my insurance company, recently I took my car to Riley body shop for auto body work. Mr. Josh and his team were professional and helpful while working on my car. Though insurance company suggested/recommended some after-market parts for my Honda car, Mr. Josh negotiated with Richardson Motors (local Honda dealer) and obtained Honda parts and was able to restore the car to its original condition. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, Ill rate the work at 10 and recommend Riley body shop to anyone who might need auto body work.

I regularly have my Crosstrek serviced here, and I find they always have provided honest and high quality service. The service managers, Eric and John, are very friendly and never try to push unreasonable services on you. Riley will do right by you! My only wish is that they offered services on weekends.

When I brought the vehicle in for service. I found out there were other vehicles we could use and we were driven and picked up. We have always been given a rental vehicle. I have given them 5 ratings every up to now. When I received the vehicle the first time, the window shield fluid was not filled in my vehicle. You can check satellite. Later I filled it and showed the mechanic on duty. He checked it.I am still unsure why I was not under an extended warranty. I bought all of the extras on the vehicle, which should have included the extended warranty on mechanical work. I have given this operation perfect ratings up to this point. It was especially disappointing when I found there were other rental vehicles available and it was clear it was the mechanics fault for not filling the window shield fluid -- yet they did not provide a rental vehicle esp. since I had hip surgery. It concerned me that other fluids were not filled.
Riley’s inspected my Forester and indicated that I had leaky headgaskets. They explained the repair to me thoroughly. I service all my vehicles with Riley’s and trust there professional service department. They helped me setup an appointment and a loaner while they repaired my vehicle. The service advisor kept me informed and provided updates on the repair. I was very satisfied with the work performed and look forward to continuing doing business with Riley’s.

We just bought a 2019 Forrester sport at Rileys. It is a great driving car and easy to get in and out of. We are in our 70s and that really counts. We got great service and help from Danny Thumser who helped us withthe car. He went over all the new features of the car a couple of times.Of course we could not remember them all, but well work on it a little bitat a time. This dealership has people that really care about customers. They are very friendly and down to earth and not pushy. Thats what I look for when buying a car. They gave us a real good price. This is theplace you should check out first before anywhere else.
I started using their service department 2 years ago when I bought a used Mazda CX 9. Really like the way I was treated and the pricing seemed fair. We were now in the market for a new car, and they treated us really well on a brand new Subaru. I dont have any complaints whatsoever.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience when I went to Rileys. Greg Johnson was my salesperson, and he was easily the most knowledgeable person I have ever dealt with when purchasing a car. He was able to tell me the ins and outs of every model we looked at, complete with the cars history. Everything from mileage, who owned it and how they drove it, how often it was serviced at the dealership, etc. In the end I drove home with a Legacy at a great price, and the car has been nothing but amazing. After a horrible experience at my local Subaru dealership, I decided to search for my new ride elsewhere. Rick P. at Rileys provided better customer service from 4 hours away than my local dealership did in person! Very low pressure and VERY accomodating and timely in answering all the questions I asked about two different used Foresters available. He volunteered information I wouldnt have even thought to ask about, and took into account what features were important to me.So yes, we drove 4 HOURS to the state of IOWA for a new ride, a Forester years newer than what I originally was searching for and figured I could afford based on what was available near my hometown in Wisconsin. The customer service was excellent in sales and financing, smooth, friendly, all around a great experience! THANK YOU!!
