What can I say, discount prices, not always cheaply made parts, dont get the store brand for everyday use.

I love that store, the selection is awesome and the price is even better! While it is cheaper merchandise it usually works and lasts longer than expected. Great place for anyone who uses tools everyday.

Got to wait just a little bit because of the amount of people in there, but the cashier, Abby was nice.

Looked for tools I needed and found them for reasonable price

Very helpful sales people...had to go in the back to get an item I asked for...cause it wasnt on the shelf.

I was there getting about $200 worth of stuff for work and 1 female worker (possible manager) looked at me, walked past me, and asked another person (whom she called by name) how they and their family are doing. Didnt even ask me if I needed help and I was even using a cane! I WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Had everything I needed and as advertised. Cashier was a great help with locating items.

Entered the store found what I was looking for. Keep in mind Ive been to many HFTs. I really dont expect much. Get to the register. Was greeted by Abby whats your phone number. I explained to Abby that its actually illegal to ask someone for their phone number out right for a business. I said I dont want to give my phone number. Abby then says well you cant make a purchase without information going into our system. Which again is illegal unless its clear posted and it isnt. Walked out of this store without my purchase. Called theyre corporate number and was explained to that HFT has no such policy for purchases. Id say the management here all needs to be retrained starting with the DM who clearly isnt validating store standards here.

Complete lack of any customer service. Cashier on the right hand side when walking in the doors did not have a mask on.4/8/21 I had to ask what was happening. She bagged up my items without saying anything to me, didn’t tell me my total, slower than a turtles pace, got an attitude with me when I asked for my total.Why do I hafto sit stagnant while she bags my items? I could have been paying. I’m not trying to be in stores longer than I need to, ESPECIALLY when the cashier is not wearing a mask.I mean I know it’s Dubuque but why keep up the poor reputation of rude idiots in this town.

Good selection of everything. Like a smaller Menards/Lowes without all the miscellaneous nuts and bolts and appliances. Although, I dont see the purpose of have multiple registers if theres only ever one person checking people out.

This is my favorite place to go to for all my automotive tool needs my opinion is they have everything I need at a great price and I have always had good luck with the items I purchased will always return to Harbor Freight.

We were kindly asked if we needed help finding anything. Unfortunately one of the the items we were looking for they didnt have any new in stock in boxes. They did have three of them unboxed. One on display and the other to were just holding up temporary covid signs. We were not offered those ones for purchase. When checking out we inquired about the usual 20% off coupon offers and noted we hadnt received the mailers in some time. The cashier indicated the program is amdist change and to watch our email.

Best prices and selection anywhere in town

The employees are lazy and not helpful. I called about a special order I placed and paid for weeks ago and when I call to check on it they just say its not in yet without getting my name or phone number to look up my account. Thats just one example of many bad experiences.. So frustrating..

Man you guys need to do something about Karla. No mask and coughing all over everything. She cant stand up. She cant hardly breath. Takes her to bag everything than it takes her to scan everything. Thats if she can get off her Stool to reach the stuff or I dont push it towards her. I hate saying bad stuff about people I dont know. Im sure she is a really nice person, but man does that make for a bad check out experience. Especially in 2020. Ill consider Lowes for my next tool purchases.

Very happy there is one of these here now. Madison and Davenport are a bit of a trip either way. As others have stated, decent tools good prices, & get the coupon book. Sign up via email before ya go and save at least 20%. Weekly emails have some treasures in them sometimes. Worth a look. These are not make your living tools, but if you need to get a job done you’re not equipped for, it’s perfect.

Why have a sign that states you may not enter the store without a mask (excellent!) and then the only cashier is maskless and coughing. I put down my purchase and left the store. 🤬🤬🤬

Somethings are a good deal. Somethings arent worth carrying home. They have improved their quality a lot over the last year though. If they can get better quality control it will be a big improvement.

A wide variety of inexpensive, yet reliably durable tool. Always great sales. Smaller store than most other branches. This branch is always understaffed. Usually only one register open. Come in for the great deals, but staff doesnt know how to smile, so dont expect a friendly atmosphere.

Always a great experience. Wide selection of tools for the home handiman. Cant beat the price.

Decently priced tools

I would give it negative stars but cant, all tools junk barley make it through one job or break after the first go. Will never recommend this place to anyone unless u want to throw money away.

This store is one of the worst, they never actually have any of the more expensive in products in store, Ive had to drive to the Cedar Rapids store more times than I can count because this store NEVER has what I need and they hardly ever get shipments in.

I have several tools that I bought years ago from them and the tools are still in good working condition after hundreds of hours use... Its the first place I look when I need a tool

No, it is not a hardware store if you need a special fastener, this is not the place. It is a tool store, a generally (98+%) Chinese tool store, but with many items of adequate quality and definitely a trend towards improving quality, as time passes. If you need a tool and cant afford the price, or can afford it but cant justify spending that much, then you need to check this place out, quite an extensive collection, and variety of tools, some of the best prices out there on them. Always remember your coupons they usually have 20% off one item and something free with purchase.

Truly a Gem

Well I love tools and they have an abundance of them. They also have so much more. I have bought several small tools here now with no complaints and the prices were cheap. Now I cant answer that for large power tools I dont think there the higher end models witch are the ones I like. Great prices thow and walked around for an hour and no one bothered me unless I asked. I like that, I hate being followed around while Im trying to browse.

They have a lot of good tools. I bought a security camera that turned out to be junk good picture but the camera doesnt stay in place.

Usually great service n friendly employees. I returned a new air compressor, plastic on top was badly cracked in box. Got charged about $20 for a restock fee???? How is it my fault it was broke when brand new?

So glad to see the store in Dubuque so convenient. I try to show only shop the sales because the prices are than excellent and the sales are frequent I recommend getting on their mailing list an email list so youre kept up-to-date on what theyre doing.

Went with a buddy 2 dubuques he asked for help but the girl working there was huffy & rolling her eyes about helping. The manager came around the corner scolding him 2 b nice like he was a child😡

Tools are relatively less expensive for tools that arent used very much. They are usually of less quality as opposed to Milwaukee or DeWalt but they do work good at first.
