This Holly Springs garage literally went from 1998 to 2021 Technology ! About a week before my wifes due date all the remotes in the cars and the mounted keypad stopped working. Spoke with Gabriel @ North State and ended up getting new operator installed. He came over on a Saturday (which was convenient for me) and in no time it was up and running. He patiently walked me through all the settings as a lot has changed since my old 1998 operator and programmed all of my prior universal remotes . I absolute love the Wifi App control and also set it up to auto close after 15 minutes. I am so glad that he was able to work around my Kayak mounts as I was not looking forward to pulling those down.I will be having them come back and install a garage door with windows and to upgrade my out of date springs.If anyone asks, I DO have a guy for that. I called North State Garage Doors Sunday night when the spring on my garage door gave up the ghost (of course AFTER I had parked my car in the garage). These guys were great last fall when I bought the deer and they installed, but even better wa their response this week when I had issues with the door. When I reached out to them I actually spoke to the same guy who sold me the door and installed it with his team. They had a packed schedule of installations but fit me in the very next afternoon, fixed the issue in about 15 minutes and headed out. Cant be happier with the service I received today from North State Garage Doors. I called them 1st thing this morning, they acknowledged they would have someone in my area and identified the time window for my appt. As soon as we hung up, I received a text confirming the appt. I then received a text from the tech to notify me they were on there way over... right on time too. The 2 techs arrived on time, provided a quote and detailed explanation of work. I called North State on a Friday evening to fix a broken torsion spring, after several other companies could not help me until the following week. Gabriel was able to give me the option of having an emergency visit that evening (extra charge) or have someone at my house first thing Saturday morning. I chose the latter since I was able to lift the door manually.The repairman arrived promptly the next morning and was able to replace the garage door spring within a couple of hours. I have used them a couple of times for my garage door needs. They are very capable and have a growing business. However, they offer a 5 year warranty but dont follow through on it. We had a large expensive garage door put in, and it was not installed correctly. Due to the incorrect installation, it needs frequent maintenance. We have been contacting them for years and they offer to come out, but dont follow through on showing up. At this point, Im giving up and going to start over with another company, or Im just going to fix it myself.If this approach works for you, then I would recommend them. However, if youre looking for a company to honor their warranty, just move on.If you do decide to go with them, here are a few things I would do differently next time:1) Get everything in writing. I feel like there were some promises made that I did not get in writing and perhaps that introduced some confusion for their business.2) Carefully double-check everything with the installation as soon as its complete. Take photos and document anything that isnt quite right. Contact them right away and start building a paper trail.3) If you have to contact them for customer support, make it a priority in your life because youll probably need to contact them several times just to get a response or for them to follow through on their appointment.

I bought a universal clicker and was able to program it myself. I offered to send Gabriel something, but he refused. I had a busted torsion spring on my garage door. Called 6pm that night as I wanted to replace both springs. They gave me a quick estimate over the phone and said they could fix it the next day in the morning. The tech arrived at 8am the next day. We confirmed the work needed before he started. The tech replaced both springs in about 30 minutes and made sure the garage door was operating correctly. Very efficient, professional, and reasonable prices.

The best! We had an ancient garage door that wasnt properly sealed, so mice were getting into our garage. Tare and Gabriel answered their phones, came to our house the same day to measure the door, got us a fast quote, and then replaced the door. Our new door is properly sealed (and insulated now, which is a huge plus!) and we look forward to less mice in our garage.
