For some time there have been signs up saying that the store is closing and everything is reduced. I visited on August 10 and there are signs that the store fittings are going to be sold as well, so I checked the prices of things that were reduced thinking that they would be priced to sell quickly. Although the signs say various percentages, they are percentages off the retail ticket price. Some items I was interested in are now reduced quite well, but they are still higher than the price on the website and in other stores like Jackson TN who are selling them at prices lower than Dyersburg. So, if you see something, dont think its the cheapest because the website and other stores might be undercutting that.

Very nice shopping experience. The cashiers were very friendly. Barbara at the jewelry counter was excellent. She showed us multiple items and knew information on all of them.

I shop here often. They have a good variety of different styles to choose from. They are always having doorbusters and lots of discounts. The prices are very reasonable. They have a good selection of perfumes and cologne. The employees are nice and helpful. I recommend this department store to anyone who is wanting to purchase good quality clothing at discounted prices.

Store is closing but still has a lot of inventory. One of the two anchor stores in Dyersburg mall, both are going out of business. I visited other stores in the mall, and the inventory in those places is depleted.

I havent been to a J.C. Pennys in many years and now I remember why. Main issue is they attempted to overcharge me. The price at register was about $50 more than advertised for my items. When I told this to employee she called manger but there appeared to be no surprise at this occurrence.I can only guess from her reaction that either I had caught an intentional act or this happens all the time. I wonder how many others have been overpriced in light of my experience.Other minor issues:1. No one in mens clothing for measurements;2. Had to ask employee at register to pay for items as she was too busy chatting with another employee Doubly annoying because she saw me, had to know I was wanting to pay, and simply did not care;3. Difficult to tell who employees were because they dressed like slobs;4. Clothing unorganized and just piled together in places.Bottom line: Be careful not to overpay and do not expect any help. I would suggest viewing it as similar to a flea market.

Great merchandise & good sales! Just tired of all the coupons, rebates, customer loyalty cards with bonuses, etc! And, no, I dont want a credit card!

There are NEVER enough clerks available at checkouts! This is the 3rd time Ive been in over the last three or four weeks, and if Im lucky, i dont have to walk the entire store to find someone to check me out. I just dont understand why they dont have more people working and more registers open!!!

Whats not to like about JCPENNEY! They always have what I need, when Ive needed it. Prices are competitive and affordable, employees are young adults that are nice and helpful. Store is always clean and arranged to welcome buyers to look thru the racks.

I recd a discount coupon & decided to visit the Dyersburg store. I found the perfect gift for my husband - something he had been talking about purchasing for about 2 yrs - & a hugh discount to boot!

The young man that was assisting me was very helpful.

Never found my order and sent me the wrong item.

Every associate was helpful from the jewelry counter to the check out lady up front with the beautiful braids.

Employees are great there just isnt enough of them. Dont go on Monday!!! Management needs to hire enough help. This is always a problem at this store. Typically I go during my lunch hour and there is one cashier in jewelry and 1 in the womans department. Very frustrating!!! Please understand this is not directed toward the employees, but someone needs to see that this store is staffed properly. End of rant!

They have a good variety of clothes but the sales people are rude, dont wear name tags and didnt know very much about the apparel when I asked where certain things were at.

It is a shame what this company has done to itself. Poor quality clothing. Didnt even have a pair of mens black dress socks, I had to go to Wal-Mart. I think they are trying to self implode.

Customer service is the worst I have ever seen besides that Union City JCPenneys theyre the absolute worst probably why they closed. I tried on a couple of dresses in Dyersburg the dressing rooms have been unattended clothes all over the floor you have to kick your way in and the strong smell of urine. I will never spend my money there!
