Century Billiards was great to work with and I would definitely recommend them for any pool table needs. James was responsive and everything was exactly as discussed. I needed a pool table moved from a friends house to mine. They were moving out in two weeks, so I needed it done quickly. They moved it within a few days of the first call and did a great job. Guys were on time, quick, friendly and neat.

Wow, I am totally blown away by Century Billiards & Game Room. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and it was an honor. Father son team who really care and love what they do. I went in for cue repairs and left with them repaired in record time and 4 New pool cues. They went above and beyond and really enjoyed my experience at the store. They have been in business for decades and it shows by their generosity and knowledge of the business. I am not a professional but I will tell you these guys are. Rapid delivery and he came on site personally. Noticed details about the positioning of the table and made a change that was better than we had planned. The manufacturer had issues with manufacturing some parts of my table due to covid but century billiard set up a show room table in my basement during the wait. My table came a few months later and I couldnt have been more happy with it.

I did a lot of research on tables. We didnt want to spend too much but at the same time, didnt want something we were going to regret in the long term. We wanted a table that was aesthetically pleasing and challenging. James was a treasure of information. He was knowledgeable and quick, without disparaging the competition, about the quality of the different pool tables I was researching. Had me sold The Olhaussen tables at his shop are top quality. My table plays beautifully. Love the detail to attention and my table not only plays awesome but it looks incredible. Sure, I paid a nice chunk, but well worth. This is the best place to get a quality pool table in New York or any type of table or arcade game for that matter and they can build you one from scratch that is custom made however you like it. They showed me one pool table that converts into a dinner table and can be placed outside. Very cool people there who will show you all they can offer. I got my pool table from them that all my friends love playing on. They also offer repairs if needed but I haven’t had one problem yet because they’re made with really great materials. I also got my pool table a year ago but forgot to give them a good review until now. If you’re looking for any type of game table or arcade game they’ve got it all too! You guys rock!

I orderded a ping pong table which they insisted on delivering on Christmas Eve, while mom was cooking. I’ll be buying all my game room tables there. So glad we found this place when we were researching pool tables. They have the largest selection on Long Island. All of the other places have a small selection and go through the motions, but James really cares about his customers. From start to finish, he made sure we were happy with everything. Ive never experienced such great customer service anywhere.If you want a custom pool table, youve got to see some of their designs. They actually manufacture these tables, and strictly sell American made products. We were educated and they were great with our children. Today we had several items delivered for our newly renovated basement. We purchased a pool table, multi arcade upright machine, and professional air hockey table and dart board. The Sag Harbor Fire Department has been dealing century billiards for years. Recently we purchased a custom card table and a protective insert for our antique pool table and again was greeted with professional and friendly service. There installers are polite and do a nice clean job. Again a pleasure to deal with.

In 2008 we entered Century Billiards to get something nice for our basement. We walked out buying a gorgeous Olhausen pool table. In the last ten years weve been back to the store and purchased a dart board, table top arcade (PacMan + 50 other games), an outdoor ping pong table and now James is restoring an original 1992 Hook Pinball machine for me. This is something Ive wanted since I was a child and theyve not only found it but theyre restoring it to its original glory. This is such an amazing store that I have shared with all of my friends.

We worked within our budget, and received our pool table, ping pong, foosball, & poker table in flash. The prices were competitive and they have a wide selection of quality products. I have been a customer of century billiards and have known James for over 10 years, I’ve bought several pool tables from him, had them reclothed several times, and every time his crew of installers were extremely polite, professional and neat from start to finish. I highly recommend dealing with century because they have quality products and always do a standup job.

I was in the market for a used pool table and shopped around to various billiard stores and classifieds. After meeting with Jim at Century Billiards & Gameroom he was very professional, friendly, and courteous from the beginning. He advised me on various used tables while giving expert advise on things such as table quality, brands, table sizes. He made the whole process very easy to a novice pool player such as myself. After patiently staying in contact for about 3 weeks emailing me various used tables and pictures, I decided to purchase a brand new 8ft Olhausen (Santa Ana). It was because of his overall advise and knowledge, and professional salesmanship. Prior to setting table up he came by my house to measure and provide advise on table positioning, etc. Their service was prompt; after making deposit; Jim and his professional table installers had my table installed and ready to play within 24 hrs. They even moved a light from other side of room to hang over table at my request. I would recommend Century Billiards & Gameroom to anyone that is in the market for a pool table; because every house deserves a pool table.

Have been waiting for over 3 months to get the ping pong table repaired. They kept delaying and now there is no answer for last 6 weeks! I had purchased the table from this store but at this time I am very disappointed.

Below is my original review. This is the follow up. As I wrote the exact events that occurred, I felt I should update and give the final outcome. You may want to read below so that you know the order of events. After I wrote the review below the owner of Century Billiards called me and claimed to be unaware of my situation. He said upon learning of this review he was mortified and wanted to do whatever he can to make me happy. I told him I wanted new rails and would be happy to pay for them. He came to my home to inspect. He seemed intent and telling long winded stories of how great he and his company are but expressed little interest in how upset I was or the devastation caused to us by the storm. I was only interested in my table being repaired. He had his employee come back and take a sample of the wood off one leg so it can be matched. He told me I would get a call with an estimate for new rails. 2 months went by without any contact and then one day Robert Grimaldi called and said he was sending his guys the next day to install the new rails at the cost of over $700. He took the liberty of ordering them without my knowledge or approval. He also said I would have to pay several hundred more if I needed a new felt. At this point I felt I had no choice and agreed to have them come install. When they arrived the felt was already attached to the new rails and was a completely different color than what we had. At the risk of having to wait another several months, I decided to let them do the install, then I called the store and spoke with James, Roberts son. I must say, Jamess response was as professional as I would have hoped for. He only wanted me to be happy and offered to do anything I wanted to make it right. He told me that if I would accept the new color felt I didnt have to pay for anything, even the new rails. I was very touched by his gesture and insisted on splitting the cost. He reluctantly agreed to take my money. He didnt want a dime. In the end, I have to say I was very impressed with how James took responsibility and would recommend him after all.Below is my original review...It is with tremendous disappointment I am writing this review. To be honest, When we bought our $4500 table from the owner Robert we were very impressed with his passion for the merchandise and the game of pool. Years later they expanded and it seems Robert no longer is as involved, thus the service is no longer one of pride. Our home was damaged by Hurricane Sandy and our pool table was under salt water. We called century and asked they remove it and take it to their warehouse where they would evaluate the table, do the needed repairs and then reinstall the table in like new condition. Since it was covered by insurance we asked if it made sense to repair or replace. James, who is Roberts son called to tell me the table had minor damages and they would sand some areas, refinish and put on a new felt. They held the table for about 6 weeks as we finished repairing the billiard room. After 7 months of construction we were ready to reinstall the table. When they arrived in our newly repaired home we were in shock as they brought in the table covered in the muck and salt water that it left with. Wood was peeling which was surprising because it was sold to us as solid, not a veneer. I called Robert and he explained it was an oversight and they would polish the table on premises. He said he would investigate and make good. The installer asked if I want to hold back money and I said, Robert promised he would make it right and I paid in full. It has been 3 weeks, 6 phone calls, 4 emails and still no response. They charged me $1200 to put back the table in the same condition it left but with a new felt. In conclusion, if you want a nice table, I am sure Century Billiards can provide one. If you want service and integrity, that is something they no longer offer. I will continue to pursue the repair of my table and update this review with the results.

Century dismantled, moved and reassembled our 1914 Blatt recently. The men showed up on time and completed the job the same day. Upon getting home, I noticed the table wasnt set square to the room. I called and spoke to Robert Grimaldi who assured me he would get back to me ASAP to have men come back. He never called. After playing on the table, I noticed one of the ball returns wasnt working, 2 of the pockets werent set right, the new felt was ripped slightly at one of the pockets, and the leather that is nailed into the pockets wasnt pinned right at 3 of the 6 pockets. I had since moved the pool table to be square with the room with the help of 3 friends. I once again called Robert who told me he couldnt schedule an appointment right now because he was to busy, but would contact me when he had men in the area. Weeks go by, and no call. I had to call Century 4 more times and hear plenty more excuses before giving up, disputing the charge with Amex, and now writing a review (this is the 2nd review I have ever written on a poor service provider).I dont know who else is out there to service pool tables on long island, but any of them have to be better than Century under the direction of Robert Grimaldi.
