My friends and I rented a theater together. It was really great to watch a movie of our choice on the big screen. The service here was incredible, the staff was really friendly and even gave us recommendations for restaurants in the area. Better drink selection than the average movie theater. Please please patronize this wonderful cinema. They like other theaters are struggling. They show great old films and new ones when they can. They are so very careful with covid precautions. They also offer great deals like $12 for the film. A small popcorn, and small soda. Take a look at the photos Ive included and please go see a film.

Love having a place to go and see the smaller films that dont get shown in the big corporate theaters while supporting the community. Its great that they are taking all proper precautions with sectioning off certain rows. Giving you markers for your chairs so they know where to deep clean. Since they took all proper precautions I actually felt comfortable taking my mask off while seated. The only downside which is out of their seats are tight and narrow.

I always love going here. It feels nice to support my local cinema and also see some good movies. The seats are nice and plush, the food in the lobby is delicious and parking is usually easy to find. I look forward to seeing movies here when I come back home to Stroudsburg for a visit. I also appreciate how involved they are in the community with fundraisers for places like AWSOM. This is a very special place ❤️

We always have a great experience here. The prices are reasonable even if you are not a member. The membership not only gives you even lower prices, it includes discounts at other local places. It is a well maintained building and very clean inside. The artwork is very good and ever changing. The coffee shop is small but has a lot of good snacks. The people running it are always friendly and polite. Love this place.

Love this place! Their events are always great. Ive seen Its a Wonderful Life 4 times with dinner and its always a great time. Last month we saw How to Train Your Dragon for free for their new Madeline Doyle film series. They are not just a movie theater they are a great community asset!

This is a little gem in the area. I always go here to see a movie since they 1) play the movies I want to see that sometimes dont play at big theaters, 2) are a good price and 3) the atmosphere is wonderful. I often go to the movies alone, and I dont feel weird about it here like I do at other places; I feel like I can just enjoy the movie.The best part about this place? You can get hot coffees, teas, and other cafe goods. The snacks and beverages are delicious.

This is seriously the best theater around. It has any excellent digital projector and good sound. It has really low prices the drawback being it doesnt have many movies playing at a time. It is never crowded. I saw Wonder Woman on opening weekend and there were at most 10 people in the entire theater.

This venue is nicely renovated with an intimate feel. Staff was friendly and enjoyable. Prices reasonable. We enjoyed the comedy show. I would love to attend more events here. This place is exactly what the Poconos need.

Great experience! We hadnt been there in a number of years and I feel that the picture and sound quality were excellent! The popcorn was better than the other theaters, and I enjoyed my iced mocha as well! Ill be back more frequently for sure.

This place was okay. Its very old fashioned. Literally it was only 3 couples inside the theater including me. The price was the same as my hometown. Other then that it was okay.

I watched the Rise of Skywalker here. The sound was great, the screen was clear. The theater has a more intimate feel than the Stroud Mall theaters. The only thing I would change is the lighting. The door to the theater was left open and some of the ceiling lights were still on which I felt took away from the experience. But I would definitely return.

Great movie theater. I love the ambience it gives of better olden times when things were simpler, specially when they play throw back movies. The coffee shop is great. Best coffee in town and delicious pastries to go along. They also have an art gallery by local artists. I highly recommend this movie theater.

If the movie my family wants to see is playing there, its my go-to over the mall cinema for sure. Free movie of the month is a neat offering. Host special events too.

We had a great time! This is a small community theater (200 seats?) with limited stage area. But the actors knew how to make the limitations work for them. And the small venue meant every seat was a good one. We saw The Room Live and it was one of the funniest things Ive seen in a long time. Tickets were free but they had a donation bucket in the lobby. I got the feeling a lot of the audience knew many of the actors, so there was a really comfortable vibe to the place. There are a couple of move screens there too, but I was there for the play, so I didnt see those.

I always have a wonderful experience when attending films at this theater, and if theres something I am interested in seeing I always check their website first! Also enjoy the coffee shop, and as a local independent author I am most appreciative of being able to place copies of my books at the theater and local people know they can be purchased there. A wonderful service for people like me! Ive also held musical book signings at the venue which have drawn nice audiences, and its a perfect venue for an intimate performance such as these.

Great cinema!! Clean and personal. Came from Jersey and its totally worth the ride. If your over understaffed, overpriced, unkempt expensive theaters this place is a great alternative. It may not be IMAX but had a much better time then at the chain theaters.We saw a first run movie but I believe they show classics and alternative stuff as well.Its my new favorite movie theater.

The only place I see movies. Wonderful staff, GREAT snacks (real butter on the popcorn dont tell my doctor). Perhaps because of the discerning movie selection I have never seen a disruptive, texting, talking teenager here. Movies for grownups! You might check out the periodic live performances, revival screenings and other fun stuff.

Very nostalgic feeling! Ticket keys are 9$ for adults, cheaper then main stream theaters but a little pricey, BUT WORTH IT! they always play those movies that aren’t found everywhere which is cool. They serve coffe and tee in addition to the traditional soda!

A WONDERFUL cultural experience. The Pocono Cinema (formerly Pocono Community Theater) is an invaluable component of the local arts, with their diverse showings and community events. Ive lived in the region my whole life and knew about the theater, but it wasnt until recently that I discovered what a gem it is. Even if you come for a regular movie, I highly recommend the place, if only to enjoy the theater atmosphere.

Saw rocky horror here last night and had a blast! The staff were very kind even with the influx of scantily clad patrons. The building as a whole and theatre were small but this didnt detract from the experience.

The Best Popcorn In TownWhile this theatre does not boast of all the modern technology advancements and state of the art amenities as chain movie theaters, there is a quaint and pleasant small town appeal to this local non-profit independent theater. The staff are volunteers. The food is locally made and scrump-dilly-umptous (yeah, I made up that word and its spelling).The majority of movies shown are independent films. However many major Blockbusters are shown as well. Memberships are available and are needed to fund the nonprofit organization. Among my favorites are the treats I enjoy while viewing the movies, such as gourmet coffees and teas, homemade popcorn with real butter, fountain sodas, handmade ice cream from Jimnys Creamery (local business), coconut macaroons, assorted bakery treats, and other typical movie theatre eats and drinks. There is a mini cafe with free books and additional CDs, DVDs, movie posters, and other memorabilia for sale in the theater lobby.Movie showings are rarely crowded. The seats are not modern recliners. The auditorium style theatres are reminiscent of a throwback to a 1950s school auditorium. You will not be so comfortable that you fall asleep. You will not be so uncomfortable that you are unable to enjoy the experience and the movie. You will have to appreciate the art of the independent theatre and production and the appeal of small town small business to appreciate the charming qualities that make Pocono Cinema & Cultural Center one of my local and regular favorites.

Pocono Community Theater serves as a reminder that East Stroudsburg, PA, is a college town, a feat East Stroudsburg University has never managed. A purveyor of sophisticated, intelligent, films plus additional cultural contributions, the fact that this theater exists always leaves me wondering why the college consistently offers the community so little culturally. The offerings of this theater are more frequently commercial than when it first opened under another name, but they are still trying, and the chances of catching a first run intelligent independent or foreign film are still good.

Good taste in movie selection, food coupled to gracious staff.The MUST place for a movie experience! It appears theyve gotten into the mass market, On at least two occasions, the most recent July 4th... all the screens had mass market action flicks. This is not what I am a paid member for. This action garbage is available anywhere. Three, 3 screens and on a Holiday Weekend not one can have a film with higher production values
