Nice 30 minute self guided tour. Very informative. Only complaint is that you are a little rushed through the tour. They start the information about the next room without time to check out all of the displays in the previous room. Nice gift shop. Overall a nice little museum.
Very interesting and old Indian museum extremely authentic awesome gift shop and awesome lady works there she was very nice excellent customer service the museum is also linked to a 3 story gear shop that sells winter clothing and what not. very cool gift shop as well I was able to get a few things and so did my niece and nephew
Cool shop. They have a tour.. really small but nice.
This is an awesome museum which has so much to offer to anyone who wants the true meaning of the Indian heritage. It is fascinating as adults because we tend to forget things as we age but it is also a great learning experience for kids. We love the self-guided tour and appreciate that is not expensive which makes it fun to bring the entire family and friends. We also love the gift shop which has something for everyone. Its most definitely a fun day out to enjoy and pick up several unique souvenirs. The owners are wonderful as well as their staff. Customer Service is very friendly and helpful. This is a year round store and museum that also caters to skiers and summer sports. I highly recommend visiting the Pocono Indian Museum as we keep going back time after time.
Great experience. Loved the tour and the very reasonable priced gift shop. The people there were nice too
This is a nice place to visit when youre looking for something to do on a rainy day. Its small but well done. It gives a solid background on the local flora and fauna intertwined with the history and culture of the local peoples who lived in the region. The tour is self guided and you get little devices to the narrate the exhibits. The place is a little old and could use a spruce up but dont let that dissuade you from stopping in and learning about the area and indigenous peoples.
This is a marvellous Museum.Everything is beautifully illustrated and presented. Great place to take children so they can learn the truth about our Native American people. Thank you to all who have put this museum togetger.
Small museum filled with unique pottery made without a wheel, and information about native American history especially Lenape. Tickets for self guided tour 7$ - adults. Do not mess with sound device it will start from beginning. The store is packed with nice gifts even ski gear, a lot of hand made stuff. For me the second level mainly bookstore was amazing (historic, cooking, herbal, everything connected to the nature topics)
Very informative. Very nice staff with a laid back attitude. You really do see how unprimitive our ancestors were. The gift shop I actually has reasonable prices.I highly recommend this for children. As well as adults.
A wonderful fact filled treasure about the Native American heritage of the area we enjoy every time we visit. We always get a book or two and take the self guided tour. The gift shop offers items you just can’t find anywhere else. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. You won’t be disappointed to add this attraction to any visit to the Pocono’s. A year round store also caters to ski and summer sports.
I worked for 23 years. And what I can tell you is in all the time I was there I made a lot of friends. Customers who came back year after year. Customers, who said they came to the museum, because they felt peaceful while they were there. Enjoyed the museum itself, very educational. We also had a Chief Sam Beeler, who complimented how well the museum was put together. He also raved about our library, a lot of knowledge. He would also buy books and teach people who wanted to learn about different tribes. He would also host an annual festival at the Patterson falls in New Jersey. Don’t let the reviews scare you, come out and see for yourself.
Self-guided tour, informative displays, friendly staff, & a great gift shop!
Friendly, nice conversation with person at checkout. Will return to look at exhibits
The gift shops had a wide range of merchandise. The woman who ran the main shop was extremely pleasant and helpful. The museum itself was filled with interesting artifacts. I liked that you had an individual device that allowed you to listen to a recorded tour as you went from room to room. The cost was very reasonable - $7 for an adult and $3.50 for children under 16.
I have had wonderful experiences when visiting the museum. I gained new knowledge every time and was not flabbergasted by the prices. The staff were extremely pleasant and love the passion they all have for local history. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Great experience. I grew up less than an hour from here and both my parents were elementary school teachers and there was a lot of Native American history and culture we did not know despite learning about these communities. Its interesting to hear my middle and high school students perspective and how it has evolved. The museum did a great job with social distancing and ensured groups were spaced and the audio tour was done via a hand held speaker. The shop at the end was good too. Everyone bought something.
Fun and interesting little slice of history. Only issue was that the audio player was hard to use. When we increased volume it ended up returning to the beginning of the tour and there was no way to fast forward. So we had to listen from start and then we just ended up not using the audio because my 9 yo was too impatient to listen through again, understandably. Great. extensive gift shop. Was surprised the employees there didnt know more about North Eastern Indian tribes or have a handy guide...
Enjoyed the tour and learned quite a bit. Happy to see they sell some products from indigenous people as well.
Nice place with extensive gift shop. Self guided tour with audio. I learned a lot about the history of the native Americans from the Delaware river area (Poconos). I recommend this for fans of Native American history. 👍
Long time local establishment to give a historical view of what the area was like long before the settlers.Great place to bring the kids, intriguing gift shop and also, a seasonal action sports shop around the corner.Staff is comprised of long time locals to the area who themselves, offer much information as well.
Its a nice quaint place to learn about the local area amd Indian reservations that lived there amd it has a great gift shop
This place has amazing the staff was very knowledgeable in both Indian culture and local culture. Verizon nice people
The Audio tour was fantastic! And they had extraordinary customer service an the most polite service officials.
~I have Lenape Indian in my bloodline as soon as I walked into the Indian museum I felt welcomed❤ something just came over me spiritually and it was a beautiful feeling❤ believe it or not it felt like my ancestors were welcoming me and my family into the past of my Heritage and bloodline, Im 48 years old and I never felt a feeling like that of my Years of Living, it was an astonishing moment and Journey Through Time of my great ancestors❤and they have the greatest sales on their merchandise and such a friendly and kind staff❤ so i recommend to all to please visit and support the Indian museum in the Poconos🌄 ~5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating~
Not a very big museum but we still enjoyed it. They give you a little audio box to carry with you that walks you through the museum and explains everything. It was nice and makes you really stop to look at everything and pay attention to the history. Its about a 30 minute tour of the museum and the little gift shop connected has a lot of really cool things you can purchase.
This is a nice stop to learn about the many different ways that native Americans have contributed to our current way of life. The tour is about 20-30 and self guided.
Workers were very pleasant and very knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable. Educational as well!
Great place to visit. I am a local but my boyfriend has only been here 5 yrs so it was a fun little trip for him to do.
Wonderful guided tour of a small museum. The gift shop is lovely will.
Great place, some great Native American jewelry, and items ....I got this cool brass tomahawk pipe, I hope to enjoy its use with friends ....They also have a sports shop with snowboarding and winter gear....Staff was very nice and helpful and friendly........
Very nice knowledge about the native Americans from this area. Nice price for a fun educational summer trip. Love thier gift shop.
Very nice informative museum. Took about 30 minutes to go through it. Interesting to read about the Indians that had lived along the Delaware and how they were forced out by the white man.
Amazing destination to visit! Really feel the Native vibe once you’ve walked in. A lot of great education to learn about the Culture of the Native Americans. Recommended for all families and friends to visit. Very nice staff and a wildlife atmosphere.👍
They are very friendly. Have have lots of great stuff in the gift shop.
Very informative museum about the local Indians to the Delaware Valley. The audio tour was about 30 mins and is self guided. Definitely worth checking out and I learned some things from it. The gift shop at the end is huge and has some really cool stuff. We ended getting a bunch of stuff. It shares a building with the ski shop so it can be a little confusing when you arrive.
Wonderful. Enjoyed the tour. Then did shopping in the gift shop. 😊
Excellent museum! Cant wait to go back again!
An educational and fun museum! The gift shop has countless amounts of fun items youll be sure to love. My only criticism is that the voice recorded is a little out dated, but thats the least of my concerns. Overall a really great place to go, I highly recommend especially if youre taking a trip to the poconos!
Very cool a lot of Indian stuff
Great place to learn about Native Americans. Very educational. Wonderful gift shop, too!
Love the self-guided tour, and the shops have many authentic Indian items.

Great museum and great gift shop with a friendly staff.
Great time great information great staff
What an amazing museum. Teaches you alot and holds out amazing history. I would only say I wish there was a name change to the Pocono Native American Museum.
The community pool is amazing. Definitely should visit
Always fun and very informative. The lady who runs the register is very sweet!
Small museum. Nice place for something to do.
Nice little Museum. The lady there was very Nice(forgot her name and gave me alot of information. Thanks alot.
I loved it!
Great stuff, but, women staff were very rude.
Learned alot about the Indians.
Its a cute little place. Museum is small and needs updating however its still a sight to see i love the shop 😁
Small but very detailed. The gift shops are amazing!
Lots of things here. Great history
Enjoyed learning about the land and its heritage!
Very informative. People are friendly. Gift shop is very nice
Have lived in the poconos 15 years about, and have always wanted to visit but often find myself reluctant to do the things tourists do, but was doing instacart today and delivered right by it so I told my husband I wanted to go in and check it out. I wasnt sure if it was going to be worth it ; well the 7.00 admission price for the self guided tour was very affordable, the displays werent corny either (like other attractions in the area), we were the first ones there so we toured alone and at our own pace, Ive always been interested in and appreciative of native cultures - and given the pocono history there was lots of information and education to soak up during the tour. The gift Shop was beautiful carrying both novelty and native made items. I got the most beautiful doll and pair of moccasin boots Ive ever seen! And my husband got some items too! The gift shop is 3 levels so theres something for everyone there!!! Very impressed and pleased that we stopped!!!
Very interesting museum i learned things I didnt know very nice it will seem boring for others the souvenir shop was extremely expensive as well as admission to get in since it was all audio it shouldve been cheaper
The whole museum is amazing !! Took the full guided tour, so fascinating and interesting, many artifacts and displays to view along with the audio voice guide . The gift shop is awesome as well with everything you can think of native american related . Highly recommend !!!!
It was cool but more for younger kids, I guess. The store was my favorite part!
Nice afternoon of local history. Nice place! Nice people!
So much history and 3 floors of shops.. we truly enjoyed ourselves
Its a small place, but its available for a very reasonable price. The self-guided audio tour was just long enough as a field trip for our four children under 10 to find it interesting but not too long or overwhelming. A great way to spend an hour or two on a rainy day in the Poconos.
Wonderful cheap house decor Id definitely go back just to buy more. The lady was really nice that was working the day I went. I didnt get a chance to tour the Museum part we were just traveling through.
Fun and interesting side trip in P.A.
I absolutely loved this place. The museum was very educational and the little shop had almost everything you could imagine relating to native Americans
I love the gift show and the staff and I will tell me friends about this place. I will go back soon!
