Worst experience Ive ever had with an eye doctor. Nobody knows what they are doing. The prescription they gave me was wrong and the new one cannot be ordered anywhere, they put my prescription in backwards, and the call center is a joke. They couldnt even tell me how to get a contact check up to correct my prescription. Fix your company

While the staff was friendly the Dr. completely brushed off my concerns when I told her my vision in my new contacts was not only blurry but one of the contacts doesnt even fit my eye. I was simply told I would get used to it.

Just went to VisionWorks with glasses that needed to be tightened. Left with them broken.I called ahead to ask if they could tighten my glasses, they said yes. I came in with two pairs that needed it. Straight forward enough. The employee, asked me to take a seat and started to work on my glasses, but the glasses came out of the heater broken - snapped. The staff THEN asked where I bought them and chose, for some reason, THIS point to tell me VisionWorks wont compensate anyone for glasses they break.... I wouldnt have let them work on my glasses had I known they cared so little as a business for customer care or property.

Ended up here looking for new frames because my insurance had Visionworks listed as an in-network facility. Come to find out my insurance would not provide coverage for this facility!Since they were having a BOGO offer on entire set of lenses/frames I opted to purchase some frames. Very helpful staff throughout entire process.My selected frames did not live up to expectations. They just did not feel right regardless of how many adjustments were made. Barb was patient and indulged me with each request for adjustments....and there were a lot of them!Barb could sense I was not going to be happy with these frames so she insisted I select an alternative frame. She was more than willing to ensure I was happy with frame purchase. Needless to say, I was glad I picked another frame! They felt much better from the start and continue to be comfortable all day everyday.Thank you Barb for your excellent customer service and insistence with me making an alternative selection to ensure my total satisfaction with my frame purchase!

Went in for an eye exam and made sure I asked if I could get my width of my eyes apart and was told yes. Get there and PAID for the exam and they refused to give it to me because I wasn’t ordering glasses through them. Would not recommend going being they can’t even be honest about giving a simple eye exam.

This was my first visit to Visionworks. They were open on Sundays and that worked really well with my schedule. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Tera helped get all of our insurance info straightened out, then escorted us to the waiting area. I was used to waiting forever at the eye doctor. That was not an issue at all here. Dr. Buckley was friendly, and helpful. My family will definitely be returning to Visionworks for all of our eye care needs.

The associate we worked with was very rude & after going back the next day to say that my prescription was put in the wrong spot, she simply adjusted the plastic to fit behind my ears tighter & said to give it a week to see.Im extremely dissatisfied with the exam I had as well. He ran over an hour late for my appointment, and after going in and only doing a fraction of the correct exam that should be performed, told me there was very little change and had me out in 5 minutes.Ive been wearing glasses since 3rd grade so I know how exams should be done&this definitely wasnt done to completion.I shouldnt feel like a burden for coming back in to get things fixed or adjusted and sadly, this is how Ive felt the last 2 times Ive gone here.

I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and friendly the staff was. Each time I went into the store, the staff was attentive and took their time to explain various lens features and options. They were extremely helpful with selecting frames that would be a best fit for my petite body frame as well as for my budget. I want to thank the following staff members who spent lots of time assisting me with the purchase of my first pair of prescription glasses: Tera, Katherine, and Mandy. And thanks to Hailey and Brianna who went above and beyond by staying after their shift to finish selecting frames for me to try on.

Every aspect of our visit to Visionworks was top notch. Very helpful, friendly staff and Dr. Buckley was wonderful. Our glasses came in quickly and things were checked and rechecked for fit. What a great experience!

Unfortunately, I have had multiple, very poor experiences at this Vision works. The Optometrists were competent and very kind. However, the front staff and management are very incompetent.Approximately 3 months after receiving my new pair of glasses, the protective finish started to come off. I went in to Vision works to see what they could do. The woman in the front told me there was nothing she could do, and that I probably got bleach or hairspray on them. She then told me that should could call the manager about this, but because she had already called her manager too many times that day, she was not going to call her again. Therefore, she told me come back the next day between the hours of 3-5 to speak to their manager. This was not possible for me, as like many people, I work until 5 in the evenings. I then came back a week later on a day off to speak to the manager. She told me that the finish was coming off, and that they would be able to replace the glasses for free. This was such a huge relief to me. However, she then told me that she would have to take my current glasses to send to the lab. This unfortunately wasnt possible for me, as my prescription had doubled. I was not going to wear my old glasses, of which I was told I should not be driving with. The manager then became rude, and told me they could do it without having to send them in, but that it would take 2 weeks. I said that this would be fine, and moved forward with that plan.Approximately 3 weeks later I called in to Vision works to check on the status of my glasses, and they said that something got mixed up, and that they never got ordered. They told me they had to re-order them, and that it would take another week. Two weeks later, I called again to check-in on the status. Again, the lenses were not ready. This time they said there was a mistake in the lab, and one of the lenses got scratched. A few days after that. I finally got notice that my lenses were ready for pick-up.Two months later, I made an appointment to get a contact prescription. As I had a good experience with the optometrist before, I thought I would go in, get the prescription, and then order them from a clinic that I have been previously that is out of town. I went in for the appointment, waited 45 minutes to find out that they do not do prescription for rigid gas permeable lenses, which is what I needed. This is something the front office could have notified me of ahead of time when I called to make the appointment. However, as they did not, the optometrist himself had to break it to me after I waited 45 min to see him. He was very kind and apologetic. However, sadly this does not make up for the incompetence of the rest of the staff. Generally, a waste of time. One of the worst customer service experiences I have witnessed.

First time here since they closed my usual place. I was interested in getting contacts and knew my glasses prescription needed to be updated anyway. Dr. Buckley was very nice and made me feel comfortable. He was quick and efficient. Also I have to give a shoutout to the lady (didn’t remember her name, sorry!) in the back who taught me how to put in my new contacts. She was SO sweet and patient with me. I felt so bad because for the life of me I couldn’t get the darn things in. She just kept offering tips and encouragement without getting annoyed or frustrated with me. Thank you for that! Overall, I am glad that I chose visionworks in Eau Claire.

VisionWorks is by far the best vision company that I’ve had a pleasure to work with. Their staff is knowledgable, helpful and always willing to go above and beyond.Due to my own carelessness I twisted both hinges on my glasses this evening - when I’m leaving for vacation tomorrow! Katherine was incredible in trying to bend and twist them back in order to repair the glasses. Unfortunately, they were just too damaged to repair but Katherine assisted me in finding the exact frames from the floor and we were able to pop my lenses in there.I’m forever grateful for her assistance and service such as this will be the reason that I continue to come to Vision Works.

Went in today because my dog ate my 10 year old daughters new glasses! We got her 2 new pairs for $99 which her 1 pair from a different provider were 3 times as much!! The Staff was super friendly and extremely helpful!! We will be going here from now on!!

Mediocre experience. My husband and I had to wait quite a while due to the number of people, but that was completely understandable. I talked to Barb for a little bit and she was wonderful and very helpful. We then left so my husband and I could talk about it before making the final decision. When it was time to buy we ended up working with Rose. Not only was she extremely rude (especially when she found out we didnt want to spend much money) she continuously pushed extra features onto us when we were very clear what we wanted. I have been in there two or three times in the past to get my glasses cleaned and adjusted, and the workers Sam and Lynn have been wonderful. Ill most likely give it another chance, but my last experience put a very bitter taste in my mouth and I will NOT be working with Rose again.

Just picked up my 2 pairs of glasses. Very disappointed in the service I received during my fitting. I was told I was trying to look through my first time bifocals all wrong. I informed Rose that the bifocal was in the wrong location, I was told I just needed to get adjusted to them. 2 minutes at a desk with a very unpleasant sales person. Obviously she was not getting commission from that sale so she didnt waste time on me. She put the 2 pair of glasses in a bag and dismissed me. 2 minutes of time for a $600.00 visit. I will be alerting my insurance and will never do business with this company again.Also, I was not given my prescription.Rating: zero

We have never bought such poor quality glasses in our lives. After 6 months the scratch proof lenses were scratched.. they didn’t stand behind them.. staff was rude..on the other pair of glasses the optometrist didn’t get the prescription correct..won’t stand behind that either

We had a very good experience here. My son was having issues with headaches. We chose Visionworks because of their weekend hours, and were able to get him seen and in glasses in 24 hours. His whole experience in school has changed because of the glasses, and the headaches have stopped. He was able to select from a variety of glasses to find a pair he really liked.

If you want glasses that will break in a month, this is the place. The hinges on the glasses are so cheap that the false metal will snap off easily. To all customers, avoid this place at all cost. lesson learned, this company and any business associated with them is garbage. not worth your hard earned money at all.

Terrible! Wish i could give it zero stars. Please find other options. Saving a little money doesnt make up for better service or quality. Bought two pairs of glasses because of a deal they had. Never even wore one pair and that pair that i never worn broke when i first wore it. It just fell apart. Very bad quality. Brought it in and they said they cant do anything about it. I even told them ive never worn it. They just said sorry cant do a thing.

Terrible experience. Had to go back 5 times to get the right prescription! The lady that fitted the glass first kept saying that it takes 2 weeks for my eyes to adjust but I knew better....my first prescription made my vision very blurry and she tries to act like that was going to change. Then when I went back in to get my eyes rechecked the doctor said I should just keep the wrong prescription and get uses to it. I will never go to vision works again and I would highly suggest picking a different eye doctor!!!!

From the moment I walked in the VISIONWORKS in Eau Claire, Wisconsin ~ I felt valued & inspired to really look for the best eyewear I would be happy with.The entire team ~ from the Manager Lee - to Rose, Barb & Lynn (I think those were the names!)I felt assisted & encouraged to relax & explore the many options available to me.I was able to find 2 pair of glasses ~ 1 with transitional lenses & a 2nd pair without (for hunting). I LOVE BOTH PAIR!!My glasses arrived back in just a few days & I had great assistance getting them fitted. I did return a 3rd time to have them adjusted again. Each time I visited ~ I was warmly greeted & made to feel special & important.I am a HUGE believer in promoting businesses I have had positive experiences with. If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible, they changed my husbands prescription and the contacts didnt work. They made him drive back and do a recheck and gave him a new prescription, but when I sent it to 1800CONTACTS called Visionworks because it was missing information and they said that the prescription wasnt from them. Vision works now said that we need to drive back down to confirm the new prescription. WE WERE JUST THERE!!! 1.5 hours one way!!!

Overpriced ripoff. Shop around. Glasses were 2 to 3 x more expensive than other places. Add on fees and other sales pressure was ridiculous. We will never go back. Got prescription and left. Even free exam with insurance wasnt free. Went there only due to new insurance. Ordered from the zenioptical website instead for a fraction of cost.

If I could give them no stars I would. This year I had my yearly exam somewhere else. My vision hadnt been great, I work in front of a computer 8+ hours a day and was having trouble reading things. I found out that my prescription was way off. And when he showed me the difference between my current prescription and what it should be I was blown away. I could see much better. Back to my Visionworks appointment. I got my glasses in after being pushed to add a bunch of crap I didnt need. The woman was extremely brusk and didnt seem to know how to make sure the frames fit well before ordering my pair. When I finally got my new glasses, they didnt fit right. I went in multiple times to have them adjusted, and one of the times the guy was so inexperienced he almost broke them. I ended up going somewhere else that does free adjustments since they couldnt seem to figure out how to do it. Seriously, dont go here!! It was a legitimate nightmare.

I purchased two pair of glasses in may of 2014,I am woulded worrior with over 30 yrs of combat duty,and now a chaplain,my these glasses were never right from day one.i have been back to the store on multiple visits,and we live 60 miles away,and ive been having a lot of health issues,with surgerys to correct them.two or three times my wife came down with these glasses to have them fixed,because i was not able to walk and on bed rest for most of 2015.the last time my brought them in they replaced the left bow,with one that was 1 full inch shorter then the right one 2 ways,lenght of bow back to ear and one full inch shorter for the wrap around piece. i talked with rose about it and she said to bring them back and they would either fix them or replace them.due to the many issues i had,i paid over 700.00 dollars for these glasses and now you tell me you have no record of me ever having a problem with them.because i gave you your gift of freedom and paid a heavy price to give it to you,you feel its your duty to screw me over.im still all crippled up,i will send you a bill for my pain and suffering.michael howland retired us navy special forces officer/cwo/4/ss/n.s i will now be forced by you to contact the bbb/camber of commerance for eau claire wi.and the va admin. and the state attorneys gen. about the way you do business when it comes to us vets.with out respect.michael/mick/howland..i
