Very friendly staff beautiful homes.
Was not impressed with the site, did not show any details of the homes besides floorplans.
Tammy helped guide my mom through the entire process and made the construction of her new home as pain-free as possible.Customer service was excellent. My mom really enjoys her new home!
My husband and I bought a home from Effingham Homes in November of 2017 and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had! At first everything seemed wonderful until we made our first payment for the home and then everything went down hill from there. We were told that our home would be put in shortly after we made our first payment in November. After we made the first payment we did not hear from them for over a month. We bought the display model and found out that they were still letting people view our home and walk through it. We ended up having to threaten getting a lawyer because they kept lying to us about when they were going to move our home onto our property. After we told them we were going to get a lawyer they finally moved our home which was in April 2018. Once our home was moved onto our property we have had nothing but issues. That summer our roof was leaking and they came out on 3 different occasions to fix it, but it was still not fixed. Every time it rained water would poor out of our light fixtures in the kitchen. I was told by the owners son Steve that it was due to the condensation from the light bulbs even though it only leaked when it rained. I then contacted a licensed roofing contractor and they came and fixed it in a day. I then emailed Effingham Homes about the issues and faxed the bill to them. They have still never paid the bill for that! They also left a lot of trash that they did not clean up on the side of the house, which resulted in me stepping on a rusty nail! Then, per the warranty of the house they were supposed to come fix all of the cracks and it was like pulling teeth to get them to come out and fix it. I then turned them into the better business bureau and they finally came and fixed some of the cracks, but my husband just ended up fixing the rest. We continue to find things that have been done incorrectly. For example, we just put hard wood floors in our living room and found that they did not fill in the crack where the house was sealed together. Also, when we pulled the carpet up there was a lot of dirt that was not cleaned up before they put the carpet down. Needless to say we keep finding things that were done incorrectly and are having to fix it ourselves. If I would have known this was going to happen I would have just had a house built. Tammy and Steve were extremely rude when I tried to talk to them about these issues. I would never recommend anyone to get a home from this company. I have heard from other people that bought a home from them and they had the same issues.
We had Effingham Homes move a trailer for us. From the very beginning they have been so friendly and helpful. Joy and Steve take the time to explain how to get the final touches on your home so it’s ready to move in. They take the time to know their customers by name and always greet you with a smile. I will recommend them over and over!
This was the worst Home buying experience I’ve ever had. Just because your home has a warranty doesn’t mean they will fix it. Once the purchase is made, you are no longer important.
My husband contacted Effingham Homes and they were very polite and helpful. Looking forward to seeing the homes in person and the price point is very fair
BEWARE OF THESE SHADY SLEEZEBALLS. I REALLY WISH GOOGLE ALLOWED YOU TO GIVE 0 STARSI visited on Saturday, 10/15/2016The first employee I interacted with was extremely rude and unprofessional and generally useless. My experience deteriorated from there.Next up was the owner who attempted to price gouge me. When confronted with the fact that I overheard him discussing a lower price than what I was being offered with other customers he got defensive and walked away. These people also own B&B homes and this review will also be placed there to warn others. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the time and aggravation of visiting these unethical people.
Run, go to pine ridge these are the same crooks we own B and B
