They had things that were healthy with variety not the same things. Every other store whos main focus is to stop shop lifting and licking everything up.The care for the newer better healthy yet good tasting foods. Safeways in SF does not compare to this one.period

Typical Safeway. Well stocked, clean, and well lite. This one has a Starbucks, like most of them.

I live close by or would choose a different location. Lines are always incredibly long so waiting time can be very long. Many common items are locked up due to theft. I have waited in the beauty isle for help for 15 minutes before giving up and having to purchase somewhere else.They are often out of stock on staple items I purchase.

Walked In to find a Frozen meal for lunch while Im at work. No one wanted to help me find the frozen food aisle. They just stare and Continue doing their job

I have to go here because some bus lines from El Cerrito del Norte station has 30+ minute wait times. I have to spend $2 for the soda, which was expensive than liquor stores. It was kind of expensive.

Is a really big safe way really nice personal and very hard workers . I think is one of the best safeway i been to and is close to the bart if you guus need it or gym.

The store itself was well stocked. MANY personal care items are within locked cabinets requiring a store clerk to open. Checkout was slow. As a bonus: there were 2 armed guards at the entrance (one outside, once inside), both very nice. Store staff seemed nice enough.

I went to the pharmacy to get a vaccine and had a great experience there. However, I did NOT appreciate the men outside of the building wearing security uniforms objectifying and catcalling the women entering the building. I did not feel safe and will not be returning to this location.

This my spot! ...when all else fails. Serously in need of specific items 🤫. It definitely can get weird sometimes...at night. Shop daytime if you want a nice comfortable grocery shop. NOT saying its bad at night ...every now and then youll get somebody yelling at a tree or movin cars as you exit the building

I use the online order and pickup service. I would give them a better rating, but the experience I have in the parking lot is pretty bad. There are only 4 spaces to park for the service, and they are almost always full of cars of people doing their regular shopping. Id be happy to see them add more spaces. Ive only had items missing once, and was refunded fairly quickly. The staff are always nice, and I appreciate them. Its the management I dont care for, and they need to have someone patrolling the parking lot, as well as inside the store.

By far the worst Safeway Ive ever been. Every time I go there I receive the worst possible customer service I possibly can. Every time I going to the store they treat me like Im about to steal something when in all reality I buy everything I shop for and I work hard for everything I buy so I dont appreciate being treated like a thief. Its so bad that they had a security guard come up to me in line and actually touch me and I was 100% innocent. They dont have extra mask if you forget yours

This place is really great. I have enjoyed coming here time and time again for the fantastic personalized service, appropriate atmosphere, and easy access from every part of the city making it very easy and convenient to find and enter. The business is kept clean and welcoming with good employees, clean facilities, appropriate lighting, clean windows and interior too.

Why does the alcohol have a separate checkout? Why does it not have sushi like all of the other new Safeways? I guess its okay for Hercules to have a new store but where did these employees come from. They are obviously not from the old store that closed. This store needs work but I am willing to give it a chance.

The fruit taste really bad, mango tasty really bitter. Definitely no fresh.

Cashiers are super friendly and helpful but they almost always need to have more check out stands open.

Safeway has always been of those supermarkets Ive liked and felt comfortable in utilizing.

Sure they have a lot of items there and its a little fun to see the different room scenarios they have set up on your walk but your walk is actually a forced March once you enter you pretty much have to go the way they tell you to and that can be a longer walk than you might have preferred I wish they had public benches along the way. This is right up there with the worst Safeways in America...and thats saying something. The liquor is locked in a glass case. They encourage you to ring the bell and ask for assistance in getting it, but no one comes. Always huge lines at checkout. Groceries overpriced.

Found everything I needed. Vegetables and fruits were very limp and old looking.

This store has a pretty confusing dual aisle layout, but it seems to be better stocked than the other Safeway locations in the area.

Love the deli counter at this store, especially Melissa. Shes the best employee there. 😃😏they need to put the youngster courtesy clerks in check though. Yall are working put down the phone and do your job!! Dont talk about your non-work stuff with the checkers in front of the customers. Pay attention to your bagging groceries. Learn how to do it right.

It’s a big store, but the staffs here are rude. May be it’s because of long shift they don’t care about customer. Apart from that they have everything that you want for your daily needs.Store location and product availability is awesome

Large inventory, which of course is nice, but they continue to be short staffed and have long lines, leading to difficulty in social distancing during the pandemic and the staff are frustrated, over worked and bad attitudes. Not everyone, but a lot of them a lot of the time. I do wish upper management would address this issue since its been going on for years and the staff and customers deserve better. Its close to the train station and freeway access so its easy to get to and often crowded.

I love this store! A lot of interesting people to see and meet here. The prices here are very reasonable. Also the food in the deli is good too! The store is always clean, the bathrooms not so much, but at least they let you use them. Fun and friendly staff. Love you guys!😊

This store has improved in the last 5 years but it is still chronically understaffed. Very hard to find anyone if you need help. Kind of hard to find items in the store also.

Im a person oriented towards value, bang for your buck. Does Safeway have the cheapest prices on most things? Not really. What they do they offer is the value of you saving time and effort in providing a one-stop shopping experience in a clean, tidy environment. The El Cerrito store has neatly stocked shelves with a good variety of products and staff ready and willing to help you find what youre looking for. Sometimes thats worth paying a little extra for.

Overpriced and hard to shop. They lock up all their bars of soap, cheap ones next to the fancy ones and good luck getting someone to open their safe houses so you can buy some. Moreno sugar Safeway price, $4.99, Smart and Final $2.99 Grocery Outlet $1.99 is just one example.

Easy access bathrooms work lines move quickly and 8 self check out. They seem to not have a handicapped cart to ride n shop. The food at the deli looks fresh and they have a sushi place. They can make it to order or cases everyday. They have a variety of vegan foods. Lol

Clean and regularly stocked. I dont always shop here but its nice. I also come here to use the dmv kiosk. The one bad thing I would say is there are people hanging out in the front. Such as signing things, people ask for money, not always but it happens and it gets annoying. Other than that I would recommend going here.

Sunday at 6:30 was the perfect time to get in and out.

As soon as I walked in, heavy duty security. I didnt feel like I was go to a grocery store. I got in one line and the young lady told me she was closed with an attitude. The second line, the young lady said she was open and just walked away. I realized they were changing workers. But, nothing was said. I asked the new checker about an item I couldnt find and she responded like it was too much to ask. Then, changed her tune. I also didnt like that hair products were locked up, but Im assuming a lot of stealing still happens due to the security measures.Pro: I was able to find majority of the items I was looking for.

This Safeway is still relatively new and seems clean and bright, with a good selection of produce and whatever else you need. Occasionally there are too few people to check you out and there can be long lines because of it. Its not enough to deter me from going, though.

The lines were very long and they only had 2 lines open people with a lot of groceries and they open a 15 items or less line, SMH.

The money is very high.

Its a safeway. They have the self-checkout registers here. Main gripe about this place is that they lock up their alcohol and toiletries and their staff takes forever (if at all) to come unlock / open the doors for you if you need something. Not the staffs fault. They just need more employees here

Unfortunately this is one of the least pleasant Safeways. The check out line is always long even during off hours. They do not staff the checkouts adequately. I avoid this store at all cost and go to others.

The worst mistake was moving the Safeway store, the parking lot is a nightmare whoever designed it did a horrible job you have to pray you dont get hit or hit somebody when youre in that parking lot. And I wont give it any more bad talk just have to go there and find out for yourself
