Very cool vibes, nice and open inside with a small outside seating area. Good coffee, obviously better than your generic chain coffee house.
As a coffee fanatic, I must say its some of the best CB I have ever had.
Great coffeeRelaxed atmosphereWhat more could you want?
Great little Cafe with lots of parking, good wifi, friendly people and good environment to escape the errands of the day! Bagels are yummy, like pizza dough style so they are easier on your stomach.. Thanks for the quality care!
Beautiful interiors with a high ceiling and ample space to find your own nook. It smells amazing in here because they roast their coffee beans in house. You can see the roasting machine in the corner and each time I’ve been in, an employee is tending to a new batch of fresh coffee beans.I came in because I heard they carry Blue Butterfly. I’m in love with their Lavender Matcha latte, a sweet and decadent beverage made with lavender syrup. It’s so good and frothy, comes with a shapely design on the milk froth and makes me feel so happy when I have one.Their bagels are delicious, especially the jalapeño cheese one, it’s huge and soft and oh so delicious. Lots of ready-to-drink beverage options available too - teas, juices, kombucha and waters.Free parking out front. Great place to bring a book to read.
Great little spot to grab some coffee and a proper espresso. Tucked in between some warehouses and an oil refinery down the street but the coffee shop feels like its in its own little world.
My favorite coffee shop in the South Bay area
What a great place, loved the location and ambiance, really good coffee. Looking forward to another visit.
Amazing coffee drinks directly from the roasters.
Fantastic Nitro Cold Brew, smooth, rich and bright
I am very picky when it comes to my coffee. I have tried many but none have ever been able to make coffee taste like, well, coffee. Starbucks burns their beans, especially so with their dark roasts. Coffee Bean tastes no different, which is why I always get some flavored espresso drink. At Smoky Hollow, their coffee has various flavors that I have rarely tasted before. They even gave me a sample of a dark roast, which of course I am not a fan of thanks to constant burned coffee taste. The dark roast was delicious and I was surprised. For years I thought dark roast was supposed to taste like an ashtray. Drop by this place for the cool atmosphere and amazing coffee, you wont regret it.
Great little place.
Wow. One of my favorite coffee spots of all time. Super neat layout and certainly the best drip coffee I’ve ever had (Ethiopian Guji). Also got a latte just to test them out more and it was perfectly executed as well. Friendly, knowledgeable baristas, perfect coffee and a great setting. What else could you need?
The manager Michael is amazing!!! Michael if youre reading this please hang out with me
Fantastic ambiance. A perfect getaway in an industrial neighborhood for an afternoon coffee between meetings.
Exceptional coffee, this is probably my favorite coffee shop in California. I visit several times a week and theres always at least 2 varieties of fresh coffee available. Im a fan of light roasted, flavorful coffee, and they deliver. Admittedly, I have a favorite, their Ethiopia sourced blends tend to hit the perfect flavor profile for me. I think right now its Ethiopia Guji, and one busy day my friends and I were making a quick drive by and I just blindly ordered a large light roast, as usual, and as I took that first sip, it shook me. The flavor was intense, I just got hit with this juicy bright acidity mixed with flowery notes and a nutty lasting finish. I was focused on Go-go-go! that day, but this forced me to stop and take a minute to enjoy the little things like a good cup of coffee. That kind of sums up the experience here. You have to stop by and try a cup! I most enjoy coffee, but their Espresso is quite delectable. Its very much what it is meant to be, in the sense that you can enjoy it straight. There are subtleties to their Espresso that give it a complex flavor on the pallet. Many times, espresso just tastes like burnt coffee, and thats far from the case here, as they make a tasty one. However, where things go off the charts for me is their in-house roasted coffee. While Im a light roast fan, their Smoke Stack dark roast, is dark that has real flavor, and its a treat. So much so, that I will buy it for home use. When I buy beans for home use, Im prepared to have many, many cups of that same flavor over the course of the week. Smoke Stack is the only dark that makes the cut.
Loved the cafe. The barista was really friendly and enthusiastic about coffee. Cozy atmosphere.
Great spot for coffee in the not quite west side but not quite South bay area.
Perfect place to cozy up with a cup of coffee or get some work done. The onion bagel I had was amazing. There are different varieties of seating. Ranging from comfortable leather sofas to communal tables. The staff is also super friendly.
Good coffee and good selection of pastries. Big and roomy with lots of fun vintage decorations. Its tucked away in a corner among other businesses
Just found this place is really close to home and it’s fantastic. My new favorite coffee shop.
Great service and knowledgeable information on how best to brew Hula coffee.
Very cool location. I always enjoy a shop with a roaster in it. It just had a different feel. I got an Ethiopia pour over which was amazing. Very juicy and fruity.
Great coffee and best Matcha Tea Latte I’ve ever had.
Ahhh Im Smoky Hollow Coffee. This place is a great addition to the outer sunset along with the one up bar, which I believe theyre owned by the same people .
This barista paradise has the best tasting coffee. I walk over to this location from my office and buy at least 1 x a week. The vanilla latte with the cream leaf decor makes my mornings. The employees are super friendly. They have a decent selection of munchies as well I love the fresh toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. Highly recommend this coffee spot.
Excellent coffee. Thay actually roast their own coffee beans
Great coffee, chill vibe, perfect to work or hang. Place is a big open space, really comfortable.
Love to sit at this coffee shop with a decaf americano and no phone.
Maybe it was my barista but the espresso was bitter and overextracted. Go to Blue Butterfly down the street. Long wait but worth it.
Their bagels are delicious, especially the jalapeño cheese one, it’s huge and soft and oh so delicious. Lots of ready-to-drink beverage options available too - teas, juices, kombucha and waters.
Stumbled across this hidden Gem.Was sooooo excited when I realized Blue Butterfly Coffee opened a second location. I typically order a cafe LA with Coconut milk. Ugh So much deliciousness in a cup!
This is a hidden gem in this trendy light industrial neighborhood. They roast their own coffee, offer fresh daily pastries all in a great atmosphere.
Cappuccino was from med to light roasted beans with full frothyness from the milk. No sugar added and no bitterness. Was lovely.
Favorite coffee, favorite place and favorite baristas. I love everything about this place.
Awesome beans. My favorite.
Hidden gem
Really cute coffee spot, cozy and comfy and the coffee was really yummy!!!!
Judging only by personal taste in atmosphere and espresso
Great space in the neighborhood. Good cold brew
Excellent coffee and pleasant environment!
Great coffee roasters.
I really don’t know how this place can call themselves a roasting coffee business. It took them 15 minutes to make me a cappuccino and when I got it, it looked more like a latte. I could have just gone to Starbucks and gotten nasty cappuccino from there. Bad tasting cappuccino and terrible service.
Great coffee, great community
Best coffee Ive had in the U.S.
Fantastic hide away place!
Best coffee in the South Bay
