This was my first time bidding at Bunte Auctions through Live Auctioneers, and it wont be the last. I purchased some fabulous antique silver that far exceeded my expectations. The local UPS store did the shipping, and I had my items less than a week after the auction. I am very pleased! Thank you!

Do Not Choose Bunte Auction House. As a Professional Organizer for 18 years, I have worked extensively with two other Chicago auction houses quite successfully. My two experiences with Bunte were neither professional nor pleasant. Communication is frustrating; they seldom to never return phone calls. My clients are annoyed with me for recommending Bunte and I was embarrassed. Grade F

Been attending these auctions since before Bunte bought out the very reputable Dunnings Family of auctioneers some 25+ years ago now.They are exceptionally honest qualified and well connected in the Chicagoland area.You’ll find everything your looking for and more. I’ve bought and sold and ALWAYS had a good experience either way!It’s nice to know when you need help with an estate that you have another family in them that you can trust.

With lots of warnings that theVictorian antiques we had were no longer “hot,” we contracted with Buntes to remove furniture and household accessories from our 100 year old mother’s apartment after her death. A few weeks later we received a check for certain items they had sold but not a full accounting of all they had possession of.We have called multiple times over the past 4 weeks inquiring about the unaccounted for items and been told that someone would call us. No one has. Olivia has been very nice and taken many messages but we have not been given a call. We will keep trying....

I purchased two expensive glass paperweights from them which they sold as being authentic and original. When I was informed by an expert that these were forgeries, I wrote Bunte Auctions a letter (certified mail – delivered) and sent them an email requesting to return them. They did not even have the courtesy to reply to me.I have been in the world of business for many years and I have rarely dealt with a company with such a poor business ethic and lack of morals.(I worked as a state and federal prosecutor for more than 20 years.)I am not implying that they were aware that these were forgeries.

Took my painting in thee months ago for auction. Called several times to hear the “check is in the mail”, but I’ve never received a check. A very disappointing experience... I would NOT recommend Bunte Auction.
