I like as much information as possible when making a large purchase like a new tractor. I hope this review will help someone else choose a great dealer like I did.If you are looking for the best tractor at the best price look no further than B&S Enterprises in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Their willingness to go the extra mile for me to ensure I got the pricing, equipment, and financing I wanted has motivated me to put in writing how much I appreciate it.First off, Unbelievable buying experience! Everything from initially walking in the door through delivery and operation. From the first minute I entered the dealer Josh treated me as a friend.Next, ask for Josh Jennings he is the best! Now, what can I say about a character like my salesman Josh? Josh sells tractors and all sorts of agricultural equipment AND has a good time doing it. I am hugely impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. When I got there on a Saturday morning, Josh talked with me in length about the different tractor options, features, and operation. He knows the equipment, pricing, and options and helped me take advantage of Yanmar’s promotional pricing offers. Josh put me at ease on one of my main concerns, trying to figure out exactly what I needed. I mention this as it was no small feat. I am starting up a small farm and really did not have any idea of what I needed.Once we got that out of the way, he was very honest and open about pricing and dealer profits on the tractor and equipment I had chosen. Not only did he spend time explaining the different options, but he was also able to advise me on the different equipment I needed. He is amazing and made the process extremely smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers and tries to help as much as possible. My tractor, along with all the attachments and equipment was assembled and delivered in perfect condition when promised. I had more than a few questions about operating procedures that he was happy to answer. Additionally, he went through operating, removing, and adding attachments, connections, and even stayed with me until I got the hang of everything. It is so nice to deal with a polite and knowledgeable person.Overall, it was truly a great buying experience with kind and courteous people desiring to earn your business; that is just their way. I will not go anywhere else – experience the difference!
Recently bought a compact tractor and they have been awesome from the beginning. Josh has been up front and honest about everything and has help walk me through everything. When an issue came up, they fixed it immediately, as in the owner of the company came out to resolve it. They have outstanding customer service and I am beyond happy I bought my tractor from them. I look forward to a long customer - business relationship with them.
Fantastic service and sales. They Made the whole process of purchasing a compact tractor simple. I will be purchasing again through them. Josh was the best salesman you could ask for he loves what he does but also has the knowledge about all the equipment and agricultural equipment.
Great company. Got my yanmar quickly with the third function remote installed neatly.
Great company to do business with. Friendly, but professional staff. Eager to help and easy to work with. Ive purchased two tractors from them. Each experience was pleasurable. If anything was wrong, they quickly worked on it to correct the situation.
Josh was extremely helpful in the purchase of a couple attachments I wanted. He also guided me to make the decision on which options would be best for my needs and tractor output.
Lets get the negative out of the way. I initiated the purchase of a Yanmar SA221 in mid April with a promise of delivery in May. I searched high and low in North Carolina, Indiana, and Virginia to find an affordable sub-compact tractor. Seems affordable subjectively is non-existent, but I did find one in Virginia for slightly less from a name brand in Virginia. I had two primary reasons for buying from B&S; I prefer supporting local business, and delivery was promised in May while the other dealer could only guess June or July. Apparently there is a steel shortage that is affecting production of equipment and causing delays. While not the fault of B&S directly, they did break the cardinal rule of sales, never over promise and under deliver. Of course this late in the process and having already provided a down payment of more than 10 percent it was too late to change course. Josh did offer a refund of the down payment but I felt I was already in too deep at this point. Im glad I waited.NOW, the positive: Josh managed to get the price of this basic tractor to within $250 of the best comparison model I could find. In spite of my obvious disappointment regarding delivery, he kept me up to date on progress and, when it finally came in at the very end of June, he personally delivered the tractor at my earliest convenience. He went over the basic operation of the tractor and patiently answered my stupid questions, even the following day. They were patient and understanding in determining the method of payment (apparently cards require an additional fee, so plan for a check) and waited an additional day so I could provide the preferred method of payment without acquiring additional costs. Overall, every interaction was courteous and professional. I will continue to do business with them and would recommend them to others with a minor caution about the time to delivery. The tractor itself is exactly what I needed for the work intended. I have already put a few hours on it and I am having a lot of fun with it. I still prefer buying local.
Bought our Yanmar YT235 from B & S Enterprises and couldn’t be any happier. The tractor is really tough and the price was better than the green & orange machines of same size and you’re getting a much better tractor IMO. The Yanmar has the best warranty too! Josh, our salesman was a pleasure to do business with and he even delivered the tractor and attachments to us 45 min away. If you are in the market for a tractor, go with B & S!
As a previous poster stated lets get the negative out of the way first. Ok, on to the positive. Wife and I bought 10 acres to build and have a large garden/chicken/bee/grape orchard on so we decided a compact tractor was the way to go. Went to all the local tractor places and decided on a Yanmar because of the online reviews of the 424 and the price point. Met Josh at B&S and was very satisfied in his positive attitude and knowledge of the tractors. This is our first tractor of any size excluding lawn tractors and he really helped us feel comfortable with our decision to go with a Yanmar and with B&S. It did take a while to get the tractor in as I ordered it in early May and just got it in Late July. That worked for me because everything is behind because of covid and I was not really in a rush because of the delays in clearing our lot due to weather issues. All in all it was a truly great experience and Josh kept me informed all through the process, went over every feature of the tractor (twice), and when it came in was very accommodating to my schedule for delivery. Watch that foot! Go visit and ask for Josh and he can tell you all about that! lol Thanks for everything.
I had a great experience purchasing a Yanmar SA324 compact tractor from B&S. Josh was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and had great customer service skills. He took the time to explain everything in detail and really just made this an easy purchase. Josh even delivered the tractor personally the very next day. I highly recommend B&S if your looking for a personable experience from a family owned business.
Had a great expirience buying my new Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 mower. Sales Rep. was polite and price was better than what the same mower was going for at Home Depot. (Just one reason to shop local). Mower was delivered T the time they said it would be, full of gas and ready to use. I am more than pleased with my purchase and experience at B&S Enterprise.
Friendly folks who go beyond necessary to answer questions and be available. We bought a Yanmar tractor and some accessories which they delivered over an hour away. We recommend them to everyone we know.
They do very fine work.

Called for parts for needle and seat for carburetor. Gave all info on it was informed we got for a price of 20 dollars told them to hold it and was on my way. A 40 minute ride one way. Got there and told Im sorry this part is 49 dollars. Should have honored the price. Just got a oh well.
I had called the sales department, talked to David for two days in a row. I had applied for financing and had been approved. I told him that I was on my way but wouldnt be there till 1200, BUT he had a guaranteed sale if they would just stay open. I was desperate need for a mower. He said nah, we close at 1200. Well, Dave I took my business to BRADY OUTDOORS 300 yds down the road. I recommend everyone do the same. Amazingly good service and people, willing and able to help anyone; even if it means staying an hour late.
Drove from Portsmouth, Virginia to the Elizabeth city dealership to get a cub cadet riding mower and Im glad I did. Way better sales service than the big box stores, mower was clean, full of fuel and ready to go. Salesman and the guy that help load was great, just wish they were closer or I was.
Purchased My ZT 1 42 from them in May, Im right at 35 hours was delivered on time and full of gas, Ive heard the story of loose bolts and other parts not assemble correctly from the Big Box stores, no problems here💪🏽
Excellent help that are fully knowledgeable of the products that they offer. Not only knowledgeable, but also professional. Made a purchase and was very satisfied with the delivery process. Would highly recommend.
Great hospitality and Very helpful with my Cub Cadet service! Took care of me and was on my way quickly. Go early!
Spent about 20 mins in there. Never asked if I needed assistance. Why would I spend money at at place like this? Hey, at least put prices on stuff then. Learn from Quality Equipment.
I was looking for a disc harrow for garden use and they had a great quality option available for me.
Great helping people to work with.
Great product availability and they really go beyond to get what the customer wants, service department is top notch has a strong knowledge in there field and always works to show the customers whats needed to ensure proper use and longevity in the equipment life. 1. Went there and ask for prices. Told only owner gave prices and he was at lunch.2. Went backWaited for owner but he was with two clients. Again. Only he could help me waited 15 minutes and left.3. Called and asked for owner. Put on hold with complete silence and i eventually got tired of waiting.

Very knowledgeable and service is great!
Good service
Service Department lacks in providing service. Paid over $200 for an annual service for my John Deere to have the built brake after 5 cuts. Upon calling to inquire about the inspect belts portion of what I just paid for they blamed the customer (me) stating. I dont know what your cutting habits are, maybe you let your grass get high
Like service and on hand parts!
