BEWARE: Especially if you are out of state. I called today to ask about an “in-transit” vehicle. I spoke to a sales rep (Roberta/Rosetta?) who - upon retrieving the information I requested - returned my call from her personal cell-phone. I made the mistake of sharing that I was calling from out of state. She proceeded to tell me that there was a “fair market up charge” for out-of-state purchases of…get this…10%!! She also doubled-down and stated that they would not consider dealer trade. That’s right, folks, according to this saleswoman you will be penalized 10% for choosing Herb Jones to purchase a vehicle if you aren’t local. I was looking at a $90k truck - you do the math.I’m hoping (because of the shady decision to call from a personal phone) that this is simply a sleezy sales tactic and not indicative of the dealership as a whole.

After them having my truck for almost a month nothing was done they had it in the shop for 1/2 day if that I ride by there daily four or five times a day and seen my truck sitting outside after numerous times of me calling to figure out what was going on with my truck no one could tell me until finally someone up front in the service department got rude with me so I came and got my truck I would not recommend anyone to take their truck these people they are rude and obviously don’t know how to fix a diesel truck

No communication and poor service. I thought by going with the dealer for repairs to my vehicle after a collision I would have the best results but its been far from it. Theyve had my vehicle for 11 weeks now and have yet to call me a single time. Ive called checking on it 4 times and get the run around every time. 11 weeks and counting...

Terrible place to do business. Not only do they add $2,000 to the price for a destination fee, but they also tried to charge me a low inventory/lot fee of 10% ($5000). Way to try and stick it to the consumer!

They competed my service in a very timely manner. It was on a Saturday and they close at 12:00. I was told they worked as a team and knocked it out quickly. I think this is a good trait to have teamwork to accomplish the mission. Highly recommend if you need service on your Chevy!

We had the very best experience. I called, inquired about the vehicle we wanted, confirmed it was available, made a deposit to hold it and drove 1.5 hours to go pick it up! It was seamless... in and out! We came pre-approved so it made their job and our transaction much easier. 45 minutes we were out the door and on our way home with our new car. The only thing I could possibly say and it is miniscule is whoever washed the vehicle left big cloudy swirls on it.... Good thing my husband likes to detail cars... lol

I made a 7:30 AM appointment online. When I showed up at the dealership, the employee working in the service department could not find my appointment. He then proceeded to ask me “did you book it online?” I told him yes. He said, “oh that doesn’t work I can get you in at 11 AM.” Are you kidding me? Why do you not take down the website if it’s not working? The way he said it implied that the online booking hasn’t worked for quite awhile. And, if I’m physically there at 7:30am, do you think I want to leave and come back at 11 only to wait again? Customer service basics were lost in this exchange. If the dealership can’t get their online booking and customer service right, how can I trust that they are servicing my vehicle properly? I have questions.

Took my truck in for service while traveling through. They were able to get me in pronto and fix some minor issues (windshield wipers, missing bolt for gas tank nozzle, rotate tires, and tire pressure light). They had a nice waiting room too. I would not recommend any kind of service from this dealership. Not only were they rude and untruthful but they failed after many months of having my truck to fix it. When I went to pick my truck up I noticed a dent and huge scratch that was not there when my vehicle was dropped off and when I inquired about it I was told that my vehicle and been pulled in and out of the shop on several occasions and they were working on it in stages. Clearly that was another false statement, Needless to say I had to have the vehicle hauled from my house to a dealership in Indiana

Although I got the car I wanted, everything else about my time here was not pleasant. According to the Carfax report, when the car was taken in on trade, no service or inspection was done before they sold it to me. It was past due for an oil change. My husband called and the salesman said to bring it in for a free oil change. There was also a broken plastic clip that was under warranty that they were supposed to replace at the same time.After my 8 am appointment, they charged me $68.50 for the oil change and didnt rotate the tires. They wanted me to wait until after lunch for them to remove 2 screws to replace the plastic clip which I did not have time to do.I asked if they could just send the part with me so my husband (a GM dealership mechanic for over 30 years) could change it and they wouldnt. Since it was warranty, THEY needed to replace it.When I got home, my husband called again. They said the next one would be free. Meanwhile, my husband removed the dealership sticker off the back (he thinks they look messy) and put a plate on the front.He took it back this past week for the FREE oil change and not only did they put another trashy Jones sticker on it, they removed my front license plate! Never again will they get a dime of mine.

Herb Jones Chevrolet has an excellent service team they put my computer on the Diagnostics to check it out and found out exactly what was wrong with the truck quickly. And sent me the Big M Chevrolet where they had the transmission people that could do the work. Usually most dealerships are in competition with each other but the three dealerships that I have dealt with in the past 2 weeks Jim Butler in Fenton Missouri Big M in Radcliff Kentucky and Herb Jones and Elizabethtown Kentucky have all work together to rectify the problem with my truck. Im glad to have people like this on my side.

I had my truck in several times back at the beginning of 2021. They couldnt coordinate the parts with the service technician and did a poor job communicating. Because of this I needed to bring it in three times to complete the +$1,000 service. Fast forward to July 2021 and my truck has intermittent starting issues. Turns out the tech left the fuse box cover off the engine compartment fuse box, which ultimately got wet, corroded, and caused issues - $600+ to replace. I would highly recommend finding some other service org to work on your vehicles. This group is horrible.

Was experiencing steering wheel vibration and brake pedal pulsing.Called the service department and spoke with Ben, who recommended replacing the the rotors and brake pads. I was then transferred to the parts department and spoke with Scott, who is always helpful when I need to order/purchase parts. I then called the service department and spoke with Tim [service manager] and discussed what I was experiencing... he validated what Scott and Ben previously recommended and set up an appointment two days out, which was very convenient for me. While the SRX was being serviced, Tim and the technician working on the SRX came into the breakroom and showed me a caliper pin that was squared (shouldve been rounded) and explained required repairs. I was very pleased that the technician took pride and care in his work to look at everything vs. just replacing parts. When all required services were complete, the technician test drove the vehicle and verified my chief concerns were resolved. The SRX was returned to me in a very clean condition in the area where the SRX was serviced... Jessica came out and talked with me to ensure everything was 100% satisfactory... I was extremely happy about this total service department experience! Thank you and I greatly appreciate all the relevant dealership personnel for their genuine care and customer service, top notch dealership!

30 minute drive to drop off my vehicle because of where we live. I was told over the phone that I owed $145ish dollars for two diagnostics and a multipoint inspection. When picking up, my bill was $275 (apparently 145 each, which annoyed me). After looking at the paperwork, there wasn’t any for the multipoint inspection, which is the main reason I brought it in. We spent several minutes asking employees to find that they couldn’t find any record of it and the tech had already left for the day. They would have to call me. Called the next morning with the news that they had never done the multipoint inspection and I would need to bring it back “at my convenience”. I live 30 minutes away. It’s never convenient.

I bought a $3,500 extended warranty and was told I just had to wait 30 days to get my car fixed using the warranty. What I did not realize was that I also had to wait 1,000 miles AND 30 days. So when I got the diagnostics done it went in as a pre-existing condition and the warranty wouldnt cover it. The person in the service department just said go over there when I asked if there was a manager I could talk to. I spoke with someone in sales and he was really nice and took my information. He told me the owner would contact me. I was NEVER CONTACTED by the manager. I needed my car fixed so I told them to order the part and no one ever called me to let me know it had come in. I ended up paying the $3,500 for the warranty and about $1,000 for the repairs. Jessica in the service department was able to get about $500 off the total repair price. When I picked up my car I noticed the display was not working. I went back in to talk to tell someone and he just told me ok. Im like, my display isnt working now. Could you have someone look at it? Finally someone looked at it and had to reconnect the wires. Later I had to snap my center console back in to place because they didnt do it all the way. If my car broke down in their parking lot I would pay to have it towed elsewhere.

Overall the service from start to finish was great, but I have to give additional credit to the Service Manager, Terry Gibson, for his personal handling of a mechanical situation. His professional and pleasant attitude is a DEFINITE asset for Herb Jones Chevrolet. Whenever I have gone there I have gotten the same top quality service when he is directly involved and his attitude conveys that his standards for service given are very high.

Been taking our cars here for a couple years for oil changes and inspection, turns out they were not doing the inspection at all. The same appointment they tried to sell us unneeded maintenance they missed a low coolant level, all they had to do is look, resulted in significant and expensive damage to the engine that could have easily been avoided.

This review is regarding the service department.Horrible! First off, the day before my appointment I called and they told me my appointment was two hours later than what was originally scheduled. This was after I called the week before and they couldnt find my appointment that was made the week prior.Next, I am not local to the area so I would have to wait for the service to be done. I asked for a loaner vehicle for the 4 hour job being done to my BRAND new vehicle. I was told that they cant give out loaner vehicles due to covid. Yet, I can test drive a car at the dealership all day long BUT they cant provide me with a loaner to go a couple miles down the road? Covid sure dont stop test drives! I can walk into their service department where they wear their mask below their chin. I can wait in their waiting room for hours and hours with other people. Covid dont seem to be an issue unless it benefits them.I will add they did allow someone to take and drop me off at an apt I had. In which I was thankful for. Not so thankful for the 45 minutes standing outside in the cold and wind waiting for them to pick me back up. I was less than one mile from the dealership. If it werent for the five lane highway I would have just walked.The service department employees may also want to consider the waiting room is directly behind them, and people can hear them as they walk from their office area to the shop. I heard a service department employee make a very vulgar comment as he walked out and to the shop.

Tried to purchase a vehicle from them, couldnt get anyone to return a phone call or email. Ordered accessories for a new vehicle after I purchased elsewhere, took 3 months to come in. Only after I called to cancel, since I had once again purchased elsewhere, did they tell me they had come in. Tried to schedule service for my vehicle, they dont offer shuttle services due to COVID, they dont offer loaner vehicles due to COVID, every single service technician takes lunch from 12-1 and they close for service at 4:00PM. So basically, if you work a normal job, you cant take your vehicle in. Way to work with your customers!!

My truck was kept for 24hrs with no work being done yet I was told it was ready for pick up. This was the second time for the window repair. The service manager did attempt to make things right by not charging me for the oil change and rotation but the attention to detail strongly concerns me. This service and the last both had errors on the service reminder sticker affixed to the window. I was given my keys and told to go find it in the parking lot when I picked it up. My wiper fluid wasnt even topped off during the service which makes me question what other bits were omitted or short cut. I only have 15000 miles on my truck and need a 3rd repair of my power window.

Failed to reset the oil life setting. When the mechanic replaced the sticker on the windshield they left the trash in the consul of the truck. Also why were both mirrors pulled out flat. what purpose did pulling the mirrors out of adjustment and straight out have on completing an oil change and replacing the battery

Came in for oil change and tire rotation, when I left my Check engine light came on had to have them clear it. Upon leaving again the T/C light came on and they found the H02 Sensor was bad said circuit low and had to be replaced. So that being said they replaced Bank 2 sensor 1

If you’re looking for a sports car, I’d highly recommend Herb Jones. Although it may be smaller than other dealerships in the area, their sports car selection is very unique. I drove over an hour from Indiana for a Camaro SS I couldn’t find anywhere else. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made it worth the drive.

Weve been working with Herb Jones and only have positive things to say. We noticed a lot of changes in policies and service quality during the recent months. The dealership looks outstanding, the salesmen are well dressed and treat you with respect.As per the experience, its been really good. Ive seen most of the salesmen and non of them have that pushyattitude some other comments describe.The finance department is knowledgeable, strict on their obligations (privacy) and flexible with your situation...as they should be.Want to have first class service next time you bring your car in for a mechanical issue or an oil change? ASK TO TALK TO MARK. He is the man and will do everything while you drink your coffee in the lounge. 100% hassle free.I would definitely recommend Herb Jones to everyone out there for the reasons mentioned here above.
