Pleasantly surprised. Was not sure how great the service would be at such a busy discount optometrist, but was pleasantly surprised. The registration desk employees could use a little extra customer service training, (which is why only 4 stars) but everyone else is so very friendly, courteous, and professional that you forget about the registration desk very quickly. Would definitely recommend.
Scheduled back to school appointments for for members in my family. We were in and out pretty fast. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my insurance company was offering make up benefits because I had not been able to use them in 2020. It saved me a good deal and I got a second pair of frames. I had no idea, so I appreciate Vision works letting me know!
I travel from a different county to this Visionworks. The people here are the friendliest of any eye doctor Ive ever been to. Today I went in for my annual eye exam to get contacts, and had the best experience. From the lady that took my insurance info (Im sorry I didnt get your name), the lady that checked the pressure in my eye, Dr. V, the female doctor that took the pictures of my eye, to Gayle ordering my contacts. Their service was absolutely exceptional!!!! Thank you Dr. V for noticing my droopy eyelid that Ive had since I was a kid, and trying the eye drops to correct it!!!!!!
The staff at the Elizabethtown facility are very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They put you at ease the moment you walk in the door, and are eager to answer any questions you might have. Visionworks is the only place for me!
Doctor was very informative and spent time discussing my eye condition. Really appreciated that. Have been going to Visionworks for few years now. Convenient location also.
Love this place!!! 😀. I got 2 pair of glasses with transitions for the price of 1!! The wait time to see the dr with making an appt was around an hour. I was there for a total of 2 hours. But they are very welcoming and professional about everything. They will do everything they can to you get you the cheapest price they can.
Very friendly and quick geting into the appointment.
Dr. Dale is one of the best optometrists Ive ever had! Such a genuinely sweet person that makes you feel like your questions are important. Highly recommend him. And the ladies that did our initial exam were super sweet as well.
Very professional. Always get my kiddos in and out. The ladies are always very nice and my kids love it here. Thanks for great service!
Dr. Sydnor and staff are the BEST!!!Goes above and beyond with his patients and explains everything about your exam and the results!!!Very trustworthy and always does whatever is necessary to help you understand your diagnosis and any further treatment necessary.
I had made an appointment for 11 in the morning and it’s now 12:30 and I haven’t even seen the doctor yet people who are just walk ins are going before anyone with appointments so don’t even bother making an appointment it does no good! There are not even enough seats for people to sit in so there are a lot of people just standing and waiting. Don’t waste your time!!
I have always got great service there. Finally I am getting the work done that is much needed on eyes been a return customer for 7 years.
Not very good. They encouraged you to add on all sorts of little things so they can charge you extra
If you want to get someones business you need a receptionist that is not rude. I came to get glasses for my children and the woman was so rude I left! I am taking my money and going someone else. I would travel to Louisville before I would go back in this place. Get a clue there are other places to get eye glasses.
I took my oldest daughter to Vision Works yesterday & other then the long wait the staff and Dr.Sara Borders was amazing. She was very happy with the glasses she got and cant wait until they come in & said Mom they was super nice and friendly. Overall I was very pleased and I would highly recommend Vision Works to a friend or a family member.
Every single person my wife and I encountered at Visionworks was professional, well informed and cordial. They have a huge selection of frames and a great deal of lense options as well.I strongly recommend Visionworks for your optical needs.
Had appt for husband myself and grandson the receptionist was great the lady that did eye examine great the doctor was awesome but the girl who worked with us to get glasses ready was one of the rudest girls Ive ever experienced bad attitude she didnt want to be there u could tell young girl in 20s I went to another eye vision year ago same insurance and all and it didnt cost me anything so I mentioned it to her because it was going to cost me over 200.00 I dodnt understand so she tells me in a nasty way its diffrent companys wow u dont say but insurance is the same so I still not understanding the difference because my insurance pays for my eye exams and frames but there it does not still dont understand so I left.wont tell anyone about this place my neighbor swears by them she told me bout them so Im sure she wont be happy to hear this.
Dr. Dale explained everything. It felt as if he wanted me to truly understand what was happening with my vision. I was very confident that I could trust his decisions with my eye care.Much to my dismay I have to edit this review after picking up my primary pair of glasses that were ready early. I still had sunglasses and my husband had 2 pair to pick up on schedule in 3 days. Rebecca was the tech to adjust and fit them for me. I want to note that my friend Cindy and Dr Dale were not working on Friday July 30th.Not only was this 20ish girl not only rude but just had disgusting behavior. I couldnt even wear these home. Not because the prescription was bad but because they were crooked and I was looking through my lens and the top of my bifocals. I ask her to adjust nose pieces. She did nothing unless I ask for her to fix something. If I knew how to adjust my own glasses I would have they be mailed to me! She informed me I had to wear them for a week before they could do anything different. She shared personal information about one of the Drs that I didnt ask for and that she had been threatened in the store before. I assured her I was not being threatening and I would in no way harm her. She then said it was the daughter of a customer that wanted her to step outside. Image that! I could and would not have come to her aid.Ive been wearing glasses and or contacts for over 50 years and have never experienced anything like this where I had just contributed over a $1000.00 with cash and insurance to anyone who would allow an employee to behave this way.I realize every business is having issues getting help. The old saying that bad help is better than no help does not apply here. When we returned to get the remaining 3 pair, I informed receptionist why we were there and that Rebecca WOULD NOT be assisting us, we were there to see Cindy. She adjusted all 4 pair, listened to my complaint and had us out of there in less than 20 minutes. We were completely satisfied. If not for Dr Dale and Cynthia I wouldnt return. You are very fortunate to have their competence.
I gave one star because I had to, I wish I could give zero. My FIVE year old son was made to wait two hours for his appointment. We got there at 10:40- 20 minutes before our appointment, did the pre-tests at 11:20 and he aced them all and was told he had 20/20 vision. After waiting over an hour, he was finally seen by a dr. She told him to put his head in the machine and leave it there and he was tired, had waited over two hours total, was hungry and was ready to leave. Because he did not cooperate, there is no way she could have gotten an accurate reading at all. The dr then told my husband that our five year old couldn’t see out of his left eye, has a lazy eye and that his brain is masking it and he was going to lose function of his eyes. How does your office tell us one hour that he has great vision and then the next hour, after he waited and didn’t keep his head in the machine, that he doesn’t? When we told the dr we didn’t want her diluting his eyes, she refused to sign his kindergarten release form. Absolutely worst experience ever. I would never recommend them to anyone. In total we were there from 10:40 - 1pm. I understand it a high volume office but appointments should be priority and their drs need to learn to not fear monger patients.
This was my first time here. Staff was friendly. My doctor was very nice and took time to explain procedures and was happy to answer any questions I had. Wait time was not long.
The office/store was busy and since we were there for a medical case (which you don’t need an appointment for) I figured we would be waiting for a while but the longest part was checking in(normal paperwork and now a COVID process), so from coming in the door to seeing the doctor it was about 15 minutes... the doctor (and the rest of the staff) were friendly and he explained why the medication that my son had been on (from a regular doctor) didn’t work for him and prescribed him a new one. I would recommend this office.
Had an appointment with them got in early and had no issues. Doctor listen to what I had to say and recommend an option. Very helpful and personable.
Always great experience with the team at Visionworks Etown. Dr Dale is the best!!
I highly recommend them. They have their system so efficient you move from one careworker to the other without long waits between. In this day of covid that is a very hard thing to find. I was very impressed with each person I dealt with.
They were well organized at this location regarding the registration and examination process especially during this time of CoVid19 restrictions. The Doctor was very thorough in the examination and explanation of the examination results.I didnt purchase my contacts or eyeglasses from there, so I cant give any review on that aspect of the business, but am satisfied with the service I received. Thank you.
Been coming here for years. Were used to dealing with the horrible parking situation and the extremely long wait times but what were not going to put up with any more is the rudeness. We will be finding another place to get our glasses. After all these years of bringing the kids here my husband and I coming here these ladies act like they just dont care and are hateful. If you dont like your job find another one.
Everything was very good, The service. The timing the safety. There is one girl that works in there, she was the most rude person. She has very short black hair and she is medium height. If you dont like your job, get a new one.
I have been the patient of one of the Dr there and he is top of the line. My lower rating is for their facilities. The traffic flow is horrible. The whole place is total chaos due to patients and staff crisscrossing back and forth in the office. During this COVID pandemic this place looks like a super-spreader event. Their facilities need a complete overhaul.
Quick and easy the only thing I didnt care for is the price on some things. There is a guy in etown who can do everything and at 65 percent less than the price of the same thing here.
They wore friendly and It was fast. Loved how they made me fill important.
The workers were great and so was the Dr. But waited 45 min past apt to be seen and the place was crowded in one small area. With checking in and seating plus some of eye exam all in that small area. Exspecialy at this time of covid. People were two feet apart or less at seating or most other times. Thought that was very unsafe and careless ware I stood away from others till called Upon. So much as one the workers agreed with my concerns and for her health..
If I could give less than a star I would. The receptionist or whoever guards the door was extremely rude.
Went there at 630 and yes we know the hours but couldnt get there any sooner. Wife was wanting to pick out a set of frames. The lady that came to help was extremely rude, impatient, didnt want to help and spoke in a manner not fit for any style of professional business. I understand covid plays an effect on some things but it also shouldnt stop employees from doin their jobs and being respectful to the other working class. The whole situation shouldve and couldve been handled in a much more professional manner. If an employee doesnt want to help customers nore do their job or have respect they need to be removed. If there were negative stars Id mark -10.
I recieved excellent service not only by Dr. Omar, but also the techicians and other support staff. They were all friendly, supportive and thorough. Dr. Omar took the time to answer my questions and to explain my issues. I will definitely return!!
We were on vacation and my son forgot his hard contact removal device. The staff was kind enough to give me one. Ty
Doctors and staff were extremely helpful and polite.
Manager was very rude and would not allow my Fiance to stay with her minor daughter because she didnt have an appointment and I did. I am not legally responsible for the minor and found it necessary to give up my appointment in order to allow my Fiance to stay with her daughter.
Great service! Highly recommend the Elizabethtown location for all your vision needs. Friendly and courteous staff.
Office is very organized. Everything is clean and sanitized properly. They take proper COVID precautions. We will return.
Called to place an order over the phone for contacts and they double charged me. They ran my card multiple times per system issues and had to have a manager confirmed with the associate multiple charges didnt go through. I was told they didnt but they did....i was not only double charged but accused of lying about a 10% contact club discount for 2020. The lady that enrolled me was supposed to make a note and she did not. Call today to get fixed and I am told I have to physically come to the office with a bank statement. They have to send it to Texas for auditing and now Im short on having rent money. I work two essential jobs and have no printer. The woman I spoke to today - Sue, only said sorry. Been coming here for over 20 years....wont be back.
Clean establishment, professional staff and great service.
Absolutely amd totally UNORGANIZED! Went for an Eye Exam and glasses. Took me back 45 minutes late and then was told a 2 hour wait to pick glasses due to walk-ins! Took my script to Wal-Mart. No waiting and GREAT service.
I really liked the vision doctor I had, she was very kind and answered all my questions thoroughly I felt taken care of, however there where too many people and not 6 feet apart in the lobby and it made me very concerned but the staff was very thoughtful to let me wait in my car and they called me when it was my turn, so I appreciated that as well.
Great place they do everything there but it is a long wait to even get seen i was only dropping off a prescription and pick out glasses for my kid and thought they may have forgotten about us .... Other then that great place
Broke a $500 pair of glasses and just shrugged his shoulders. Never coming back. Over priced and terrible service.
Place is good. Very nice people. Very efficient place and good selection of glasses. Although the 2nd time we came they wouldn’t let us inside because “we weren’t the ones being seen and they have limited capacity”. So if your coming with someone else for their appointment, don’t. Just letting you know because of COVID stuff. Love this place.
This was the best experience Ive ever had at any optometrist. They were genuinely polite, courteous and professional.I felt as though my vision was their priority as well as my safety and well-being as a whole.
The administration of my appointment went well. I was processed quickly and everyone I dealt with was very professional. The store was very crowded when I arrived, but to their credit...I was prepped and seen by the doctor within an hour. All in all, a pleasant experience!
Needed a new pair of glasses cause mine broke. Was wearing an older pair. Not a good thing. Visionworks and the staff were outstanding. Dr Lynn was great. Friendly staff. One stood out to me and that was Misty. She was awesome. Had me cracking up. Also was the one that took care of my purchase. Thank you Visionworks..
The Doctor was very nice and very informed.
The Doctor I had went above and beyond to make sure my contacts were the best choice for me.
Prompt service. Friendly staff.
Quick and easy! Knowledgeable and caring staff. Dr. Grant Rubesh was very sweet and kind while also very intelligent. He was really great at explaining my retinal/eye health— showed me the imaging of my retina and explained in detail what everything was... thank goodness everything was healthy! 😊 I would definitely recommend if you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing but can also get you in and out.
Didnt wait long being how busy it was and them part taking covid safety with everyone inside. Had alot of lenses to choose from and the receptionist and assistants/dr was very nice. Love that I didnt have to dilate my eyes, they had an alternative to that incase you couldnt do it. It did cost extra from my Insurance coverage but i think it was well worth the extra cost. Thank you. I have not picked up my glasses yet, day of appt was 1-21-21 and could of gotten my lenses same day but had to work. Will be picking up my glasses today 1-22-21 :) excited.
They took really good care of me the doctor and the representatives that got me through the process and my contacts and help me get my glasses. All were very nice and professional. But my only concern was I felt there were too many people in the store that one time.
My appointment was scheduled at 6:45pm i wasn’t seen until far later. The doctor was very nice but the staff was disrespectful to me. They assumed i didn’t have money to pay for glasses kept saying loudly that my insurance wasn’t going to cover this and that. The lady Cindy or Vickie that has been sitting by the door checking temps shouldn’t have a job at all! Very rude and very disrespectful and after this go round of glasses and exams i will NOT be returning! Definitely need to work on they’re customer service.
The staff was very nice. I only ordered new glasses, did not get an eye exam at this location. Everyone was very friendly and customer oriented.
They are good at what they do. The lady that helped my daughter and I was a sweetheart. This world needs more sweethearts like that. The world needs to lighten up more laughter and love for everyone...💝👑💝
Very horrible experience me and my daughter went here first dr visit in Kentucky and now I’m not sure I want to go to any office. My daughter has insurance that is contracted with Visonworks we where told from the beginning they couldn’t verify the benefits but I was able to call the number on the back of the card and verify the benefits in front of them while I was stared at by another employee was told that the allowance for glasses was lower than what I was told by the insurance company then it took 2.5hrs for us do just get an eye exam they where having system issues I explained that I had to go to work and was told that I had to wait until they got the system to work to close out our visits. I ended up being late for work due to their “system issues” but there where no issues with any other people. Thanks for making our first Kentucky experience so memorable
My son broke his glasses this morning. Took him in to get this fixed (hes 7, and has had glasses for 6 yrs) never broke a pair. He had a melt down bc he couldnt see. So of course we had to bring him. I was refused help bc they wanted to give him an exam. Mind you our insurance only pays every 2 yrs for glasses and once per yr for an exam. They were an easy fix but she refused to get us any help today. I took him to Walmart who we have never been before, and doesnt take our insurance. 5 mins and we left there with new frames and a happy kid for only 18.00. The lady was rude, plain mean and refused to help in anyway unless we got an exam! She refused to give me his old prescription to use for zenny. Who by the way have better options for children and a lot cheaper. In the midst of this pandemic we do not need to be so mean, and cruel. I left visionworks in tears after begging her to help my kid. I left Walmart happy. Too bad Walmart doesnt take my insurance 😒
Always very friendly and helpful. Great selection of frames at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend this place
Great friendly staff.Very efficient and was in & out quickly.Doctor explained everything as we were going through the eye exam in laymans terms.Recommend them to anyone needing a eye exam!
I only went in for an eye exam, so I cant speak to the process for glasses selection, etc.As long as youre patient (long lines), this is definitely the place to go. Even with the crowd at around an hour before closing, this was a very straightforward process. Everything was run smoothly and efficiently. Despite the large number of people there when I arrived, the entire experience only took about an hour.
Really nice friendly staff.
Professional staff, very attentive and friendly. They are very busy most of the times, but have a pretty good team and your wait is not that long. I had a medical visit, with no appointment, and was able to see a Dr, no problem.
If you have half a day to kill this is the place!!!!!!
I was extremely pleased with the prices and the sales representative, Jake, was wonderful. I told him what I wanted and he helped me find exactly what I needed. The female doctor was great. Very caring and clearly talked to me about my vision so that I could understand.I HIGHLY recommend Vision Works. If you need something for your vision
Great experience and employees who are friendly and very informative.
Told every employee I came into contact with that I wanted nothing but what the insurance would pay for (anthem blue cross blue shield) made it very clear I only had money to pay for the 30 dollar co pay I usually pay to get my contact exams and contacts. But when I went to leave I was told I owed 60 something dollars and if I didn’t pay I would have to TAKE the contacts out of my eyes. So being that I’m legally blind with no correction I had no choice but to max out all my credit cards and what little cash I had, even though I made it clear to everyone I wanted nothing that the insurance wouldn’t pay for. I’ve been going here my entire life but I got a copy of my prescription and will NEVER go back again. You lost a loyal life long customer yesterday.
My wife and I made an appointment two weeks in advance we show up they have no record somebody there doesnt know how to press the enter button
Optometrist top notch, thorough, & professional. Probably need more optometrists & exam rooms for the number of patients & customers coming in. Wait times are long & very crowded, needing the above to keep things flowing smoothly. Bottle neck is being seen in a timely manner to prevent the back ups & crowdiness.
Fast service. Organized. Knowledgeable. Friendly.
Rude management lady. Check in person great.
Amazing practices put in place to keep everyone safe from the virus! Such kind profession amazing people!
The optometrist I saw Dr. Borders was fantastic.. the lady who helped me with my insurance and contacts order was also great. I would have rated 5 stars but the people you first meet to check in are not that friendly. I understand that Saturday afternoons are busy and could have excused the reception due to busyness but this is not the first time I’ve encountered the attitude. A smile and a kind word goes a LONG way!
I was very pleased with my eye exam at Visioworks. Dr. Borders was professional and pleasant. The woman who greeted me, the woman who checked me in and the woman who measured my eyes were all pleasant and helpful. The lady in the optical department was knowledgeable and helpful, too. I’m happy to find a local business offering excellent service.
The only complaint I have is the very long wait time. Dr. Borders was amazing and made me feel comfortable. Ordering my glasses was easy and the 60 % off deal saved me $300.
Appointment at 915 - it’s 10 and I still haven’t seen a Dr. don’t rely on your appointment time. People are nice, but their processes are obviously broken.
You should not schedule appointments for multiple people at the same time if you cannot help them within a timely manner!!! Anyone who schedules just beware that your in for a very long wait as they over schedule people and take some walk ins before the people with appointments!! These people need to be more professional and respectful of their prioritized customers... Maybe reconsider making appointments vision works?! Walk ins only might help you... a 1 to 2 hour wait for someone ahead of everyone else isnt ideal or acceptable.
Very good & prompt service. Try for an appointment during school hours. And the entrance is from the north bound lane (just past Ring Road).Narrow turn lane from Dixie Avenue. And its the SECOND turn there, the one directly in front of VisionWorks. Crowded parking lot in the daytime at least.
I’m very pleased with my eye appointment. My doctor, Dr. B., was very funny and eased my apprehension to try contacts. I made an appointment and my wait time was minimal. I’ve used Visionworks for years and this, by far, was my best experience.
I hadnt been to the eye doctor in years & they took the time to work with me and explain my previous eye injury much better than the doctor I went to when it happened. Friendly knowledgable staff willing to take time and make sure that the patient understands what they are doing.
I have been in 4 times, and there where always long wait times. The prices are high enough for glasses that I paid twice what I have in the past to get glasses when I did not have vision insurance.I dont recommend this place for anyone looking to budget their time or money.I am still giving them 3 stars because the staff has always been professional and friendly, and the glasses we got there where high quality. If you have time and money to spare then this place might be a good fit for you.
Great hospitality, I have been going for awhile now and will continue to use Vision Works of Etown
I was in an out before my appointment started. Was very pleased
I went yesterday with my three kids. The staff and our doctor (I believe her name was Sara P.) were fantastic. Our doctor was extremely patient, kind and gentle with my son, who has some medical needs and wouldnt fully cooperate. The staff also helped me pick out glasses that I can afford out of pocket. I would highly recommend anyone to come here for a check up or to get glasses.
They got my entire family in and out pretty quick amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you for doing your best to keep us safe!
I have always had a great experience ever time Ive been there. They have always treated my family with great care and kindness!! I highly recommend this establishment!!!
Good selection and pricing- they make using insurance very easy to understand and guide you through making selections on frames etc. that are within your insurance coverage. Only 4 stars because even with appointments the wait times are always very long. 2.5 hours from check-in to leaving is always our average so definitely plan to be there for a bit.
The staff was friendly I did not have an appointment so the wait was too awfully long. The only problem I had is I have Medicare regular I have a condition with my eyes which is sojrons. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. They said if I had a condition with my eyes I would not have to pay for my exam. I ended up paying $60 which I dont think is very fair
Everyone is so friendly and wants to make your visit the best it can possibly be. I have been going for years and have never be disappointed. Great variety of frames and helpful staff!
My son lost his glasses. I went in hoping they could squeeze us in. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very nice man whom escorted us straight back to the desk. They had us in and out in less than an hour!!! No joke! About 45 min. Later my son was examined,, had glasses picked out and we could pick em up the VERY NEXT DAY!!! Im both shocked and pleased. I will forevermore be a regular with vision works! Thanks guys!
My boyfriend and I made an appointment for BOTH of us at the same time and we got taken back about 5 minutes after we sat down. The staff was very friendly and Melissa V helped us out tremendously and did a great job of helping us decide which glasses worked best for us!!
Went to vision works to get husband glasses. He has never had glasses before. Thanks to Haley I laughed so hard and she was very stern with my husband who said no to most everything. He has a huge head so she made sure to tell him the glasses were to small for his big head. She made me laugh so hard. But she found a pair that he really liked and we walked out of there extremely happy. Thanks Haley for your help and honesty. Plus you made it fun.
I had a serious eye infection that scared me !! I went to see two other eye Doctors and they couldnt cure it ! This went on for two weeks. Finally I went to see Dr. SARA BORDERS within two days I could see a difference. If you need a great eye Dr. I highly recommend her !!! She listened to me and explained what was going on ! She deserves 10 stars !!!!!!
Great service
Visit went along very well and Business was extremely busy, not many places could be this busy be organized at best and be as timely, there was little wait between each stage necessary to complete the full service, Child did his homework happily, enjoyed his exam and all were very courteous. Thank you very much to All for the extra assistance 😁 Great Blessings
My first time there every one was really nice and helpful nice frames to pick from Dr Synier is awesome.have plenty people working so no long wait
We have used this business to take care of our vision needs for several years. They always go above and beyond to take care of our individual needs, to include helping diagnose a lingering issue and most recently assisting our family while we were on vacation. Their staff was compassionate and made it a priority to assist us quickly.
