My mom’s furnace wasn’t properly working and I was looking for an honest HVAC company after she had a bad experience with another company. I called Shagovac Heating after reading very good reviews. Although my mom lived outside their area, they made an exception due to her circumstances. They came out the same day and made my mom feel very comfortable. The technician found and solved the issue that the other company overlooked. Their honesty, professionalism and making an exception is now why I will use Shagovac Heating for my own home and will always recommend them in the future.

All the guys at Shagovac did an outstanding job for us! Our house is 20 years old and had the original AC and heater. They were both on their last leg and it was time to replace them. We met Jim from Shagovac at the NCBIA Home & Remodeling Show this year (ncbia.com) and had them come out to give us a quote. He helped us choose the system we wanted, had it scheduled quickly and the install started that week. The guys were super friendly, courteous and clean! They did not leave a mess behind. They were very respectful in our home and super efficient, too! We would highly recommend Shagovac!

I had them out in fall 2020 to check AC and said it needed topped off; it was just under $300 and when he left he was saying I will most likely need a new system if it doesnt stay running.Two days later no AC. Was told they dont work on ACs in attics during heat of September and theyre too busy to quote me a formal quote but said verbally it would be approx 7K.Fast forward to.may 2021 I called to.set up a formal quote; got the appointment set up and lady who answered phone said yes I see some noyes but he will be out to give formal quote and get you working soon.Appointment day comes and noone shows.After waiting a few hours I called and got voice-mail.Two weeks later and I have now given my money elsewhere for the system.

We called at 8 AM. Tech was here by 8:15 AM and had the furnace fixed by 9 AM for a great price! Highly suggest this business.

My Ac went out in what might be the hottest week of the year. I tried a few basic things to try and restart the unit and when none of it helped I called Shagovac the next day. I explained the issue and within 2 hours they had someone at my house fixing it for me. The tech was great, and I was just extremely thankful in my bind they were so responsive.

They stood us up for the estimate appointment. I foolishly ignored that warning sign and made an appointment for the work to be done based on the fact that they installed the HVAC system in our new construction home so they should be familiar with the configuration of the system. My wife rearranged her day to be available and to have the space ready for them to work. They didnt show up on time for the appointment to do the work (the crew who was supposed to do the work was AWOL and the owner showed up 40 minutes late after multiple angry calls from me) and then left immediately after arriving to go get some equipment. Why didnt you bring the equipment needed to do a basic job like installing a vent? He then tried to blame me for the problem because I didnt give them enough time to do the work even though they said it would be plenty of time when I made the appointment. I will never work with Shagovac again.

A Shagovac service technician visited our home to see whether we needed our ducts cleaned - and advised us that our air cleaning system is doing its job so there would be no benefit to having them clean the ducts. They dont talk you into unnecessary maintenance. I love their integrity!
