We were driving from Massachusetts to Northern Michigan for our annual family vacation when we had a flat tire on 90. My sister called this Tuffy location first and Jesse was really helpful in directing us to where we might find a tire for our Volvo v60. When the tire was on so tightly that we couldnt get the lug nuts off ourselves, we used Fix-a-Flat to get us off at the exit. Having called several places, we decided to go to this Tuffy because Jesse had been so helpful to us. The team was so gracious to our family (joking with the kids, letting them watch movies, etc.) that they made a tough situation (dare I say it?) FUN. They got us a new tire at a fair price and got us on our way when other places were suggesting they couldnt get us out til Monday. You guys made it into the bedtime story lore as being secret agents who kept evil forces from keeping our kids from their cousins. Thank you!

I needed an oil change in my SUV, I figured I would get it done on my lunch break. I work in Elyria, which is not familiar to me at all. I Googled oil changes in Elyria, and Tuffy was the highest rated so I figured Id book an appointment. I was very happy with the service and great prices. I had to sit and wait, and it was probably the best wait Ive had at an auto shop. Jesse is a funny guy and the customers are all just great people. I have to get new tires on my car, so I know who Im calling for that!

Tuffy on leona street is amazing. i got my oil changed and had to wait there for it to be finished. didn’t take long at all. manager is super friendly and they even have a cute cat lounging around. service was very very good:) thank you! will be coming back.

Ive been going all the way to Tuffy in Elyria since my first car back in 1998. They are phenomenal. The son Jesse has taken over and still carries the same great customer services skills his father thrived on having!!

When you have appointment should be able to go on rack but said they did full service.

Jesse and his team at Tuffy on Leona are the only people I’m comfortable with servicing our vehicles and on top of that yesterday I had already picked up my vehicle and paid and Mike called me later in the day because he forgot to give me a rebate coupon for the tires they put on for me. I had no idea there was a rebate and he didn’t have to take the time to call me while they were wrapping up their day but he did. I appreciated that a lot.

The sevice was good. The staff was very repectful and andwered our questions easily. The price however was very high. We went there and got a free examination which resulted in us needing a new part that cost almost $1200 ended up costing only $600 somewhere else.

Good quick service. Only bad thing is I asked tires to be rotated and only swapped to other side.

My wife took her car because of what we found out to be 2 loose heat shields for the exhaust. Repair was made for free. Most other places would charge A fee just to look at it. Tuffy will be my first choice for future repairs if they continue to be better than other “typical” shops.

Was told I needed new brake pads Jessie and team checked them and said they were fine. Did not try to sell me what I did not need, Jessie also took the time to answer every question I had. Would go back when I need to. Thanks Jessie and team your work is appreciated😊👍

I chose this place based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. I went for an oil change but my husband had other work done. He called around and said that they had the most reasonable price. As far as my oil change went, it was pretty standard, but the service of the office staff (Jesse) was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

I took my truck in to have 4 bearings replaced. A problem arises about 3 months later with one of the bearings. After calling and talking to the manager they had the truck towed within 30 min of the call and had the truck fixed the next day. Everything was free and they gave me a coupon for a free oil change. Will probably do business with them again.

When you need work on your car, this is the place to go. They are friendly, nice, accommodating and very trustworthy! Ive gone there for years and are VERY happy with them. They are honest and dont make you pay for something they think is not worth fixing. They are all wonderful people!

If you have ever wished you had a friend who ran a professional garage... a friend who would never try to sell you things you didnt need... a friend who would make sure your vehicle was safe because they cared about your safety... you could have that very thing... bring your vehicle to Tuffy in Elyria... get an oil change, buy your next set of tires and have them do the installation... they will provide an excellent service and let you know if your vehicle has any pressing concerns... the only way to have a better experience than this location is to put your son or daughter through ASE school and help them find a garage for Rent...This Service Center is without peer... you probably need an oil change RIGHT NOW... do yourself a favor... you cant be disappointed...

Tuffy replaced my timing belt last week. Best price in two counties and they only had my car for a few hours. Love this place! Wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

I cannot tell you all the experiences, because we have four cars, and I have four kids that I sometimes assist with Car repairs. We almost always take the cars to this Tuffy location. TRUST and Confidence in these people is suppier to any other Car repair shop I have ever seen.They always do excellent work at what I believe are the fairest prices, and even consider special situations when someone is in need.They also will do some custom exhaust with you, and we never have to go back for anything they had recently done.

This morning on my way to work, my tire went flat, I was close to Tuffy and I walked in asking for help. Jesse quickly took care of me, got my car back and helped fix tire and ease my distress! I was only 1 minute late to work which is a half an hour away. Thank you for the great hospitality and customer service!

Just want to say THANK YOU guys! I went from IL to NJ when something happened with my power steering. These guys found problem in 5 minutes, gave me estimate on change parts, but said if I dont want to repair the car immediately they wouldnt force me to do it. After that they used temporary solution, said that I can continue and enjoy my trip. And didnt take any penny for this. Thank you!

Good work is not cheap, Cheap work is not good!!. The guys at Tuffy Elyria have always done good work for me and my Company. We have experienced nothing but professional workmanship for over 20 years. Prices are fair and reasonable. More importantly, they get the repair done promptly. Recently Jessie came to my shop to look and quote a custom exhaust system on a special truck restoration we doing. We took the truck in, MIchael performed the custom work. Dual exhausts, custom bending, chrome tips, etc. Excellent Job! And the final bill was less than we anticipated. I would recommend Elden Lattea and his Professional Staff to anyone. The service here is more than delightful!! We were visiting from out of town and our muffler needed to be replaced. We called and was seen right away. He even waited for us to take family pictures (reunion) and we were out of there in less than 20 minutes!!! The mechanic, I cant think of his name, was awesome!!! My kid was grumpy and he gave him donut sticks to calm him down, which worked!!! I wished I could give them 100 stars!!!!

Im generally not a fan of these types of auto lube places (I do most of my car maintenance/repair myself) but when I was stranded on I-80 near Elyria, OH, I had to take my car to this location. They were really busy but once they knew I was in a jam they made the effort to squeeze me in. Jesse (guy at the front desk) and Andrew (mechanic) took a good look at my car and were able to quickly diagnose a minor problem with my radiator. Given my situation they really could have taken me for a lot of money, but instead they showed me what was wrong, topped off my fluids, and didnt charge me anything. A+ for these guys for being friendly and honest!!!

First experience was OK when I took my car to replace the muffler last year (custom). But the second time I took it to do the repairs, I wasnt completely satisfied. I explained to them what was wrong with my car and what I was wanting to get fixed, but they were unable to detect the problem associated with that issue and left it unsolved. I also informed them that my car idles really low, but they said it was normal. The main reason/issue why I brought it to the shop was to get the stalling issue fixed but they said they cant figure out whats wrong and what is causing it. And I believe check engine light diagnosis was unnecessary, since I wasnt planning on getting that fixed on the day I visited and will probably have to do another diagnosis for different mechanic next time anyway. I did get other things they deemed necessary fixed, but when I was checking out I saw that they put wrong year to do my alignment (mine is 99 camry but they used the form for 97 camry). Which would not be much of a deal since I am aware that those two are pretty much identical in the form but I wouldve really liked to see that they did the alignment specified to my vehicles year which is 1999, not the different year so it doesnt leave me wondering if it was done correctly. Note on the previous muffler job, the guy at the front desk said they would try to attach it better before they started the repair process because it was not attached properly or/and poorly. He wasnt aware that I got it done at this Tuffy location. When I went to pick up my vehicle, he said they couldnt do anything about it either. Although I got other problems fixed, the attitude they showed me about taking care of my vehicle wasnt a very pleasant one. It was more like well see and let you know, but we cant guarantee. I would have really liked some strong confirmation that they are confident in providing necessary and personalized services to their customers and that they will try their best to keep their words. Based on my experience, I cant trust them with mines care anymore and wont be taking it back again. The whole atmosphere felt hostile to me, who is a minority female that doesnt know much about car mechanics. They do provide complimentary pick up service from your own vehicle to the shop though, after they are done with repairs.

Great mechanics and great family!! My wipers and the buttons for my radio behind the steering wheel stopped working. I called and was told to bring it in the next day ASAP! The mechanic checked for easy fixes like the fuses for free! My luck it was not an easy fix. They ordered the part and fixed it the same day! This place is not just some oil change garage! They do sooo much and with a real smile. You will wish you were part of the family when you visit Tuffy on Leona St. in Elyria Ohio!

Not recommended if you are female or look like you know little to nothing about your vehicle!!! Nearly 20 yesterday ago, I brought husbands truck in to get a price on muffler pipe repair/replacement. After they checked it, gave me the estimate, I left to go pick husband up about 30 minutes away. The entire muffler system, the muffler and the pipes my husband wanted replaced ALL fell off. Dont know if theyre still like this as weve never been back to that shop.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! my car started sounding like a small aircraft and I thought my muffler was going to fall off on my way to work. They let me pop in early in the morning and they checked out the problem and gave me options. Being a single woman, these guys are better than rent a husband. They didnt treat me like I didnt know anything and they didnt try to take advantage of the situation. They fixed my problem and I was off to work within the hour. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends, because ladies, you can trust these guys!!!

I have a 2018 Dodge Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker and I wanted a mid-muffler delete. I called Tuffys up and they gave me a great price and said itll take an hour TOPS to do. So I came in and they got right to work. Everyone there is extremely friendly and the guy who did the work for me was Michael. It really made me feel more comfortable when he was asking me to check his alignment on the exhaust tips and make sure I was satisfied with the position of them before he welded the straight pipe in. Overall great customer service and great team to bring your car in. Thank you guys for the awesome job you did! I highly recommend anyone who is trying to get a mid-muffler delete, or even anyone looking for questions about exhausts ad mufflers, to call them and ask them. They were very truthful about everything! Awesome work guys!

I became a part of the Tuffy Familia last spring. I knew exactly what was wrong with my truck and all symptoms revealed a possible a/c compressor needed replaced. My friend that diagnosed it was an Certified mechanic. He made a practice never to work on friends or family vehicles personally. However, he did refer me to go to Tuffy on Leona Street. He assured me that they will diagnose the problem and was 100% certain they would come up with the solution and not say I needed an a/c compressor which is an expensive repair. I made my appointment with Jesse and dropped off my truck that evening. About an hour later Jesse called and said they are not certain if it was my compressor. However, he did suggest that it will take more troubleshooting and quoted me the hourly rate. He was very professional and understood my concerns. I approved his recommendations. The next morning Jessie called with estimate and let me talk to his tech Cliff. Cliff explained exactly what was wrong and indicated I had a corroded wire from the relay to the actual clutch on the compressor causing it not to activate the compressor. I approved the repairs and they only charged me for the wire, labor and diagnostics. They even assured me I had enough refrigerant in the system and it has been working beautifully ever since. I can only imagine what other places would say and charge me for something I didnt need all over a corroded wire !! I recommended Tuffy to my neighbor and he has all of his repairs preformed there as well !! You can stop by there any time and Jesse and the entire staff are always ready to help!! I feel like family there !! They offer fresh coffee and have an amazing waiting room with a leather couch and large television to pass the time..... THANK YOU TUFFY FAMILIA !!

Its hard to find an honest mechanic anymore, Tuffy on Leona is always honest and fair with me. Their prices are very competitive. They are always willing to help me out in a jam. I always forget to schedule oil changes, I just walk in and they take me. They are very acomidating and willing to do backflips for the customers. Bottom line I would higly recomend anyone to Tuffy on Leona!
