Technician came out on a weekend to fix my A/C unit so he was already there on overtime, decided to trim the bushes around my unit without consulting me, then charged me an extra hour of overtime call out on my bill. If your A/C needs fixed suffer through the weekend and set up an appointment during the week.Jason from Modern Air did a follow call and spoke with their technician, it appears there was a billing error. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a refund for the overcharged amount, which cut my bill by $100. I still dont recommend getting any A/C fixed on the weekend, but Jason and the guys at Modern Air seem to care about their custom base and went out of his way to make a correction to a bill that they could have ignored.

They were so helpful when our furnace went out in the middle of winter! They were fast, honest and willing to work with us! We got a new ac unit as well and they had everything Installed very quick! Will highly recommend!! They even drove over 60 miles to help us!

Sure...they cost a little more but we get quick response and great recommendations without high pressure sales. I am willing to pay a little more to know that I will not have to call them back for the same problem. My employees and clients stay comfortable all year.
Provide good service. Jason is good with people, not very good about calling back when he says he will tho. They have good turn around time on their installs and repairs.

This past summer our AC unit needed some repair work done. We initially tried a different company in town and we were without air conditioning for about two weeks while they gave us the run around. Eventually had some friends recommend Modern Air to us so we decided to give them a try. They were fast, friendly, and professional. Unlike the other company we tried, Moden Air was on time to there appointment and was able to fix it in one trip.
They make every effort to get out to you when you need them! Fast and friendly and I appreciate them taking care of those of us who dont live in Emporia, as well. A little expensive, but what isnt? Im not complaining. Weve had them out twice and they got the job done quickly and correctly.
I have experience with several heating and air conditioning companies in Emporia oh, so it was a tough choice when we decided to replace our central air conditioner. The previous one was a Lennox and it lasted 26 years without a single service call.I did quite a bit of research online to compare and contrast different brands and found some pricing information. I was delighted with the range of options (and prices) of different systems. Jayson was patient and extremely helpful in the bidding process and even added additional options when I asked.Their installers were polite, professional, and extremely good! They did not give me any trouble about the crowded conditions or the clutter in the basement and they were comfortable allowing me to watch and so I saw firsthand their work. I have previous HVAC experience installing and repairing equipment myself, so I was delighted when they did it better than I would have done it myself.Another positive is the size of the organization. It is the largest HVAC company in Emporia and so they have plenty of people for emergency calls; however, it is still small enough that customers are treated like a member of the community instead of a just another customer.Submitting the warranty paperwork in a timely fashion (i.e., typically 60 days or less) is absolutely essential with HVAC equipment. Without this, the warranty is typically much shorter. I found this out the hard way another company did not honor the warranty that I had submitted; the other company claimed they never received it. Jason submitted the Lennox paperwork for us and wrote a note oh, so there should be no question about it.The bottom line is that I trust Bob, Janelle, Jayson, and the others at Modern Air. They have always been polite, honest, and fair.
