Great place to shop for books!! Small but nice,up to date selection of used books in many categories. Reasonable prices. The bookstore is open more hrs than the library right now. Masks & limited patrons @ 1 time is inforced.

I love love love this library. It is a great place to go use. The computers, read books with your children. They have free concerts almost daily, plus they have activities for children on a daily basis. Bring your lunch with you and enjoy the outside patio while reading a book. The library is awesome and so are all the librarians, even the security guards are friendly.

Definitely not the best library. Whoever designed the bathroom sinks. Beyond words. Just take a look for yourself. People think because its in Encinitas that makes it a beautiful library? No, not quite. Do some traveling. Encinitas is a beautiful city, the library is not beautiful. And Ive had better help from staff at the Oceanside Public Library than this branch of the San Diego County Library. Although there are a couple friendly and helpful staff.

Great library great views. But its extremely popular very difficult to find a place to sit and work. It could easily be twice the size and you still couldnt find a place to sit down

Beautiful library! Plenty of places to sit and read, quietly, inside as well as tables outside which overlooks the ocean. They have 3 study rooms, 1 is reservation only(no same day reservations) and the other two are first come first serve.

Very nice library. I appreciate everything going on there too. You see the smiling faces of the coffee cart and the nice bible cart at the front door. Then you find the seniors happy after watching a live performance or happy 3 years olds after listening to story time.

Beautiful library with an awesome bookstore selection; found 5 books in basically new condition for only $4 total! Was originally planning on spending 10 times that to buy those books online. Thank you!

This is a very good city library. I like the spaciously modern architecture. The day I last visited I liked the day of the dead display, I did some internet research, the staff was helpful and I found a quiet place to read before checking out a book.

This is not merely a cultural center featuring art exhibitions, but it also has a wonderful view of the ocean in the distance. Its a very elegant place to meet friends for a groovy experience. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Great library. They have about every book and if u cant find a book any where on the shelf or the computer index. The staff will order it or find it and get the book/issue of any book, magazine, comic book or newspaper, newsletter, CD, music album or DVD. To sign out or rent. They have a book store out front and food and beverage stand out front as well. Great lounge chairs on the sides through the library.

This library has the best view of the Pacific Ocean coastline of any public library I have been to in San Diego. A local haven for books, digital media, community gatherings (art gallery shows for local and world renown artists, conferences, and celebrations). The library has an outdoor patio equipped with tables and chairs, and lounging furniture. The architecture of the building allows the outside light to brighten the inside and make for a warm cozy feeling, a wonderful place to spend a day reading or surfing the internet. This library fills the needs of all ages in both resources and pleasant overall feel.

Amazing ocean views from library reading area. Attended North Coast Symphony chamber music concert there today. Lovely.

Lots of great books at very good prices. Regular sales. Good selection of Art books.Good coffee available right outside. This helps our local library by using the money they make to buy more books for everyone! The volunteers do a great job!

Its a public library! Nothing else needs to be said. But the staff is helpful, computers/internet available, and book sales.

The used bookstore is ok,but the Library itself is very nice. It still has a nice selection of popular Dvds. There is a coffee stand out front and you can bring your capped drink inside. There is also a nice patio with a great view down the hill into Encinitas and the ocean.

Wednesdays Concerts at noon. It was a wonderful concert. It was packed so make sure to arrive early or its standing room only.

A wonderful used book shop with the added bonus of proceeds going to the library to increase its collection. The prices are low, and the condition of the books is high. The volunteers are very helpful.

This library is one of my Go-To places for education, reflection and inspiration. With a fantastic view, a wide assortment of books and nice, helpful people, its the perfect place to work.

Too noisy! No one makes an effort to ensure a quiet, serene atmosphere. Over run by loud, boisterous kids with absolutely no parental control. Very disappointing.

It is an excellent library. The Friends of the Encinitas Library sponsor artistic musicians,groups to entertain and have many functions going on year round. The library is very modern with easy parking.

This place is like a gold mine for books. You go through a lot of dross and then you find some little nugget sitting on the shelf for a dollar. I make a point of browsing of selection every time I go to the library because you never know what youll find. Ive found some really nice hardbacks here which I now have on my shelf.

My favorite library in San DIego! The views are great and there is always an empty chair to read in. I dont have any complaints about this library. East to get to, plenty of parking, and a great atmosphere.

Went to hear a great flute ensemble. Whats a wonderful dessert and hors doeuvre reception. The View was breathtaking overlooking the ocean I definitely recommend it.

Saw a Wednesday afternoon concert there (Mr & Mrs Something) and it was great, though parking was a challenge!

Encinitas has a marvelous library, and the friends of the library bookstore is nearly as big as some Branch libraries Ive been in! Actually come to think of it it is actually bigger than some Branch librarys Ive been in.

Great place to hang out with a good book on the terrace. Stunning ocean views and sweeping vista of the entire village of Leucadia and the downtown Encinitas area, and a short stroll from the train station and the beach shopping district and all that Encinitas has to offer. Coffee cart out front and meeting rooms to teach small workshops, and internet, a bank of computers to use, and lots of seating areas. The bookstore has a separate entrance just to the left of the front entrance.

The employees are so thoughtful. Will help you find books in the library or on line with online books.
