When I went to Tara with my dress it was about 3 sizes too big! I bought my dress at a consignment shop so I wasnt able to get it in my size but she made it my size! My dress has nine layers of fabric, I mean its a huge dress! She did fantastic work it fit so perfectly. She added a belt on the inside to help hold up the weight of the dress as I walked, genius! She took the ribbon off the sparkle belt to which really made it more elegant. Her shop is lovely and I felt so comfortable each time I went for a fitting. I would recommend to my friends. I believe what I paid for her work was fair, I feel it was well worth it! Thank you ;)

It took almost 2 months to NOT have my dress fitted properly. She drew a sketch and wrote down details. These were listed on the contract. I missed an appointment because of not hearing the time, I called them with no answer. I also missed due to the flood. Finally two weeks before the dress was NOT as stated . It did not fit. She pinned the bottom. She never measured my bust line. She indicated I didn’t have a bra on when I came which I did at the initial fitting. Final fitting still not the design stated and it was too long. She insisted the dress fit . It’s too tight and I’m uncomfortable. I asked what did I pay for ? You didn’t fix it and it does not fit ?! We show her the contract and she states I missed appointment. Umm but you didn’t do what you said you would do it does not fit and the wedding is on Sat ! I don’t have time to wait or trust that she’d get this done . When asked again about the contract she acted again like it was my fault. Where’s the sketch and the contract on your end ?! I still paid $8 more dollars and had spent $145 for a dress that does not fit or hemmed enough. She offers to fix it . Nope ! Don’t trust you now … Very unprofessional. Updates : The dress was to be hemmed : I had to change out of the dress so that I would not fall because it was TOO long. I was also PINNED into the dress and covered the part that did not close. Id like my $$ back.

I’ve had both of my wedding dresses altered here and she does nothing but excellent work! She truly cares how you look and feel! I’ve also had my bridesmaids dress altered here and even after changing the dress after getting pregnant with only a few weeks until the wedding, she did it and it looked amazing! Cannot recommend enough!

I went in for my first dress fitting after already having someone else alter it before. She was extremely kind and understanding and knew exactly what I wanted and sooooooo much more !!!!!! I am sooooo excited to see the finished product !!!!!!!!

I brought a beautiful wedding dress that was slightly too large here and there to Tara who made it fit me like a glove! The bustle was exquisite!! Tara taught my friend how to do the bustlel that she so skillfully color coordinated using 3 different kinds of fasteners. My friend was able to complete the bustle after the ceremony the first time and in no time at all! It was perfect!! Tara made a beautiful dress look just gorgeous on me! I am so grateful for her impeccable skills in helping to make my wedding dress be my dream dress!

My dress was beautiful, but all my appointments were pushed back either to later in the day or switched to different days..including the day I picked it up. It was a day after a holiday and I was told she was super busy from the holiday and my dress wasn’t done yet. I was going out of town for my wedding and needed my dress so I was a little upset about that. Time management seems to be a problem.

My dress itself looked beautiful when I walked down the aisle. The cost of the alterations however were quite high… More than half the cost of my dress. Sadly, A whole team of us we’re not able to bustle the dress due to the fact that there were not The same number of snaps/hooks on both sides of the dress, as was shown to us prior to the final alterations, so neither of the two people who came and watched specifically how to bustle the dress, nor A friend who is a seamstress, nor two wedding planners who are very familiar with bustling dresses could get the thing done. As a result I had to walk around all night holding up the dress so as not to step on our trip over it. I really feel some reimbursement is due.

Thara was a joy to work with. She is a wonderful lady and does AMAZING work!! I walked in with a frumpy, ill fitting bridesmaid dress. I didnt have too high of expectations, just because the dress was so badly fitting. I put it on and let her put her pins everywhere and once she was done pinning, it looked absolutely gorgeous! She just worked magic with my dress. It was even more exciting trying the altered dress on for the first time. It fit me like a glove! She also takes care of other things like bra pad inserts and put a new and much needed clasp on without me even asking! To top it all off, she charges very, very reasonable prices. I have already referred my MIL to come here and I will refer anyone who needs a dress altered professionally to come here to this shop, a wonderful jewel in Ephrata! Thank you so much, Thara!!

I got multiple suits fixed with thara! I went to a couple other alterations business before RCustimBridal and they said they couldnt fix them but she did. Will recommend to anyone!

My sons were married November 3, 2017 & December 30, 2017. I was recovering from my last of two consecutive knee surgeries so quite frankly I was not up to shopping for dresses. I take a plus size so that makes it twice as difficult. I found 2 dresses online, although they were pretty and well made they did not fit me nicely. For the first wedding I went to a seamstress in Lancaster, from start to finish it was a terrible experiece. The dress was so uncomfortable and I was so self conscious it ruined my sons special day for me. I was determined that was not going to happen for the second wedding. I brought the dress to Thara and she altered it for me but because of my knee situation I asked her to make me a 3/4 tunic that I could wear over dress pants. Time was a constraint but Thara got it made and fitted beautifully. I had a great time and was so comfortable. I definitely recommend Thara, she is skilled, experienced and very personable.

Excellent!!! Creative, attentive, truly an expert at her job. The store is very clean and organized with plenty of space. He did a spectacular job with my daughters wedding dress and mine. I recommend it 100%.
