They do so as thoroughly, honestly, and with the most detail, possible. I bought a 1995 Porsche 993 from Glen Shelly a couple of months ago. I live in North Carolina so I dealt with Alex by phone and e-mail initially and he was very helpful and answered all my questions and gave advice as well. Alex and his crew are extremely knowledgeable car guys, not only BMWs which I would say is their specialty but Porsche and other high end performance cars. I flew out to Denver to look at the car and 3 weeks later flew out again. They picked me up at the airport and had the car spotless and ready to go when I got there. Just a great experience all the way around for me and I would not hesitate to recommend Glen Shelly. Its a unique business in a unique location. Ive dealt with some great BMW, Porsche and Mercedes shops over the years and I put these guys at the top of my list.

Recently (January of 2020) I had the pleasure of working with Alex the owner of Glen Shelly and his staff and I purchased one of my bucket list cars a BMW E30 325is. I had been searching for one of these cars for months and I stumbled across this car and their dealership on Craigslist. Being weary of anything on Craigslist I decided to give them a call. Alex promptly picked up the phone and began answering all my questions in full detail. Of the questions he could not answer immediately he researched the answer and within twenty-four hours got back to me.It is to note Alex does have another full-time job that does take him away from the dealership a couple days out of the week. Alex let me know of this and put me in immediate contact with one of his staff, Peter. Peter is an absolute asset to Glen Shelly! Peter and I scheduled two different Facetime calls to go over the car. The first was an exterior and underside walk-around of the car. Peter took his time to answer and show me everything little that I asked for while on the call. The second was two days later when I asked for a cold start video of the car, (It’s a dealer’s trick to always show a car with a warm engine to hide startup problems). Peter sent me a video of the cold start up where he pushed the cold car out of the hanger to start in the sunlight. After two days of sitting the video showed no signs of startup issues. Now that is customer service!After negotiating with Alex, I committed to flying out to Denver from Salt Lake City to purchase the car. Alex made it very clear that if I did not like the car or wanted to walk away from the deal, they would take me right back to airport, no hard feelings. I flew out four days later and Peter was sent to pick me up from the airport in the BMW. Upon arrival Peter let me drive the car back to the dealership. Glen Shelly is about 30 miles from the Denver International Airport and that to me was a very adequate test drive distance. We got to the dealership and I spent about 45 minutes going over the car and the documentation on my own without anyone breathing down my back. The guys in the shop area even offered me a lift if I wanted to raise the car up. Alex Is really good at finding cars with a good pedigree and lots of documentation.I absolutely fell in love with the car and I purchased it! I was hesitant about driving the car back to Salt Lake City, due to its age, but Alex said if it were him, he’d drive it. So, I hopped in the car, started driving and spent a day and a half driving it home without any problems!I cannot speak highly enough about Alex and his Staff at Glen Shelly. I have bought many a car in my day and they truly made the experience worth it. I would most definitely do business with them again!

Professional and know their cars

I originally went through Alex at Glen Shelly when I was in search of a FJ60. Alex was very helpful and responsive to my endless stream of questions. He went and test drove two different FJ60s for me and was very honest about their flaws. We were actually a couple months into this process when I got a little antsy about waiting so long to find a car that I decided to forego the search for an FJ60 and I purchased a BMW 328xi from Alex.This is where my problems began. I did not ask for a PPI or have someone check out the car before purchasing and assumed that this would have been done before my purchase. Fast forward two months in to my ownership of the car. The ABS and Traction light came on so I took it in to a BMW mechanic I know. Imagine my surprise when I need to replace the transfer case as it had been destroyed from lack of maintenance. This was extremely expensive to replace and more than anything, frustrating. I had an extremely pleasant experience with Alex and Bart at Glen Shelly and was very happy with the whole experience until this fiasco. I would definitely recommend that if you purchase a car from them that you get it checked out by an independent mechanic before buying. Save yourself 3,000$.
