They have a great selection of local and natural products, as well as hard to find products. I found more flavor options of items I get that no one else has in stores. The bakery is better than any big chain stores.
A cashier named Vicky gave me the biggest attitude as she cashed me out, for no reason! When I came, she immediately gave me a dirty look and spoke to me with an attitude, gave me no greetings/ nothing. I will remember not to go to her if she’s cashiering next time, what bad customer service.
It’s a bit more spendy due to a lot of items being local which is cool. The treatment of employees is just plain unfair and completely takes advantage of people who are looking for work. As an employee you make less than most grocery and retail stores with no employee discount or included meals. The base wage is barely survivable and they say there’s opportunities for raises. However, I watched as several employees including myself were cheated out of a raises for any mistake.
We live closest to market of choice. I would drive to Whole Foods, Kieva, capella or Sundance to avoid this place. Unfortunately it’s a necessary evil sometimes. Their bakery is way too sweet and low quality especially for what they charge. Their grocery is SO expensive. Their produce is sub par a good deal of the time. I used to really like shopping here but over the last 5-10 years it has gotten more expensive for a less quality product. I’m disappointed. Also the staff is so unfriendly sometimes. I was looking for taco seasoning today, they were moving things around and I eventually saw it in a cart but the person on staff with the marked shirt said, “I have no idea what they are doing and the people moving things are in unmarked clothing”…. I was very annoyed. The cashier was super unfriendly and the boy they had bagging was terrible. I asked him to double bag the heavy stuff (something they should as as a courtesy) and he did one bag that way the rest were all heavy with one bag and handles broken…. I bought a “Hawaiian pasta salad” at the deli and there it away reisers could do a better job it was terrible. The pizza and chicken strips are awful the Mac n cheese comes from a bag. Moc for what you charge you can and should do better.
Wonderful store and very nice folks. Great sandwiches.
Great place for homeopathic remedies, vitamins, and skin care products. Bulk spices and a large variety of gourmet goodies. Unfortunately, not inexpensive but great for hard to find items.
It sure isnt Price Chopper anymore. a dollar more for a quart of local yogurt than at other nearby stores for example. But good food, good selection, clean, well-managed. I stopped in for a variety of radishes for homemade Thai shrimp tacos and found what I was looking for.
I go for the deli section. I always overspend and I always take home something tasty I would never had tried before. Good snack selection.
Great service, friendly staff, an excellent variety of specialty products like gluten-free items and a huge variety of yogurt including dairy-free yogurt, and best of all, the CLEANEST store I have been in during the pandemic. I saw employees wiping items down multiple times during my visit, including cashiers after transactions. I was super impressed with this stores cleanliness. Most of the grocery stores I go to I observe cashiers and employees not wearing masks until the customer comes up to the register, which makes me not want to shop at those stores. In this store, staff took safety seriously.Even though this isnt the nearest Market of Choice to me, I will return to this one because they were so on top of things here.
This store is good for specialty, vegan, and/or organic products and better produce than Safeway/Albertsons. Its more expensive than Wal-Mart. For basic items with a longer shelf life, you can save a lot of money by going to Wally World.
Best deli of all the MoC, Id boast the city, but I havent been around because theyre the Best.So Mothers Day today and I mention to the lady I want a plant my mom wont kill and she dropped everything (broom) to show me all the plants that need very little watering or light (snake plant, money tree) . I bought a cactus with a cute hair cut. My mom sent me these when I asked her what she did with it. (Torture my son, hide it in a corner)
Super friendly team Several team members asked if needed any help. The checker was also friendly but it took my wife asking how her day was to open up. We love well supplied the store is.
I like Market Choice in Eugene (Green Acres) but you will pay more. People who shop there are conscientious about distancing and wearing a mask. Staff is always cleaning and helpful. The pizza is really terrible. We wasted $20.00 on a soggy, under baked pizza so won’t buy another there. The sandwiches are good.
Its nice with lots of variety of food choices, just too expensive.
Stopped by while rolling through town one day. Good variety, clean, lots of healthy choices and good gluten free variety. Folks who were there were kind.
I love this market. Organic fresh produce and the very best bakery around. The entire staff at Market of Choice is well trained and experts in their department. I dont mind paying a little extra as they support local businesses by bringing in local microbrews and products like honey, oils, wine and more. The hidden jem is the employees! Tami a checkout clerk on the weekends is always smiling and a great asset to the business and the reason ill wait till Saturday to go shopping.
Very clean, all items in the store were properly faced and in order. This made it easy for me to find the items! Plus the staff are always helpful. Thanks again!
I like the selection and most of the staff are very friendly, except for a brunette woman named Sally who was very snarky and had a rude disposition, I hope that certain staff will brush up on their soft skills because they severely lacking of said skills
Great store with a huge selection of vegan, vegetarian and organic. Foods. A little more expensive but its still a great store and location.
Prefer it to the larger stores. Good selections and fresh produce.
Clean, well stocked with friendly staff. Clean restroom and beautiful produce!
My boyfriend and I just went here to try out some new wines and were completely lost as to what to get. Lee was extremly helpful, professional and so nice! He helped us pair a wine and it was perfect. We will be coming back next time we want another nice wine!
Of the Market of Choice stores in the local area this is the best one. I can get most of my grocery shopping done here. If they had a bulk filtered water machine(reverse osmosis/ alkaline) Id give 5 stars. The staff are friendly and the store is definitely an American style store where freedom and choice are top priority!
Just like safeway as far as how they treat and appreciate their staff. There is a reason this specific location is hiring for nearly all positions. Yet another organization who participates in abuse and expects people to be thankful for the chance to make a below living wage. Forget!!! all companies who do not have a hazard pay for all works! that has been active since February.
Very busy today but it is Christmas Eve. Everyone was doing a good of social distancing & wearing masks. The food is fantastic thats why we get our Christmas dinner food here.
Nice store ....high end organic food...they do sell some cheaper good beer case..bakery os mice even offer fresh sushi
So I thought twice baked potatoes are supposed to be hot? If I knew they were cold I wouldnt have waisted my money
Just wanted to get a pizza but no luck.... I have beee informed by someone saying that they do not have a team member to make a pizza😂this was before 7pm and no I do not wanna buy a 30 min.old pizza sorry.
The staff is badly trained and negligent. I was double charged for the same item (found it at the parking lot) and when I came back the cashier didn’t even know how to refund me. To the management: Please, make sure your cashiers do not open food packages ( such as a box of eggs for example) for quality check - it is a dangerous and downright unprofessional habit during coronavirus pandemic. I really dont like when anyone touches my food inside the packaging - unless it is absolutely necessary.
Although I usually shop at the flagship store at 29th and Willamette, sometimes Im in the Delta Oaks area and this smaller market carries most of the high quality products I am looking for. It is my Market of Two-thirds Choice.
Excellent market of choice, lovely people, wonderful food
Great food. Clean store. Lots of good stuff.
M.O.C. is always a top shelf experience. Super clean, great selection everything and PLENTY of open checkstands! : )
I love Market of Choice! They have plenty of ready made meals. A great pizza oven and salad bar. Lots of local produce, groceries and liquor.
Great selection, nice people
Great staff, clean store, delicious fresh foods.
Bright, open layout with great selection of grocery and other items.
Good place to shop for organic stuff and vitamins for my kiddo
Super deli counter, awesome selection of beverages, alcoholic or plain.
Picked up lunch from the deli...delicious, and can always find several gluten free selections.
Awesome store clean and extremely helpful people
Great help from the employees and food is excellent.
I ordered a birthday cake for my sons 3rd birthday on a Tuesday. I requested it be Paw Patrol theme and the lady taking my order said that one of the decorators was very familiar with that show and could confidently make a Paw Patrol cake. I was told it would be ready by 10am on Saturday before my sons party. I showed up just after 10am on Saturday morning and was told they still needed time to finish the cake and that I needed to wait at least 20 more minutes. I was annoyed, but left and came back 40 minutes later. Not only was the cake nowhere close to Paw Patrol themed, but when I asked about it, the girl told me that they dont do themed cakes. Why would you tell me that you could do something that your bakery doesnt do?? It was a basic cake with simple paw prints on it and looked like something youd make if you were throwing a party for your dog! And as simple as it was, I cant believe they needed MORE time to make! I had to use some paw patrol toys I bought for the party to embellish the cake and make it actually look like it was supposed to be for Paw Patrol party. I would not have paid for the cake had I not needed a cake that same day! I will not be going to them for my future cakes ever again!
Did not find what I wanted and clerk that helped me was rude
Stores posted hours are 7am- 11pm daily.Store is closed at 9:30pm today.
We love this particular market. Have shopped 3-4 x per week for several years, purchasing all our meat, produce and specialty items. We were very disappointed that they don’t have an Instacart or curbside pickup option for at risk patrons. We are sheltering in. When I called to ask about it the person I spoke to was polite and said they were sorry that they didn’t have any options for us. We can’t come in during those hours set aside for those at a higher risk as we are strictly homebound for now. I’m sure there may be good reasons for this decision that we are not aware of. Sadly we have moved on to markets that can accommodate our needs.
This is one of my favorite stores! Super yummy food in the deli area and great sushi. I come here to pick up food for dinner when I dont want to make something. Great selection of organic food. Great service and always welcomed with a smile when checking out.
Pricy but good selection.
Love this store and its employees.
If you havent been to a Market of Choice youre missing out. These folks have been doing it right for a long time now and Im impressed every time I visit. Some stores are bigger than others, Ive found the larger stores have more to offer.Would love to see them open a store in Grants Pass again.
Ive not been to this store in a while. Displays of fruits and veggies same although is so much more expensive. Shelves are a bit bare as well.
Just had a super yummy bbq chicken pizza made by Brian Gillette. So good and tasty. Our first one. Well be back! Thanks Brian. Doreen
Love this location! They are very pleasant here with customers also. The layout is great! Wide variety of products carried.
I always get the sushi when I go there. Never disappoints. Plus the people making the sushi are always so friendly.
Very disappointed with the produce lately. The produce I purchased later was not fresh. I did return the apples I bought and they reimbursed me. I did not bring back the carrots or the English cucumber. I have enjoyed shopping here but will no longer.
I was not aware of a hand basket unloading protocol. Drill Sargent informed me Its alot faster and easier if items are not in the basket Super rude. Stupid me thinking keeping items contained in a basket was not helpful.
Always greeted with smiles, Market of Choice has earned every star. From pastry to produce, I expect quality, and Market of Choice delivers . Convenient locations...excellent pizza..my wife and I regularly consume Market of Choices freshly made desserts,..ok enough..just see for yourself 💚
It didnt havethe food that I was looking for
Missing so many things i wanted, long lines, and high prices.
I dont care how liberal, natural, or gourmet you claim to be but the bathrooms are an indicative of Cleanliness. Im almost positive the people handling your well thought out salad bar are using the same bathrooms as the ones I saw with build up.
Well organized market with options for grab and go meals. Plenty of parking and helpful staff. The facilities are clean and attractive.
It was enjoyable and there was a friendly checker.
This store is always clean. The employees are typically eager to help with any questions. Prices are a bit higher than at Fred Meyer or other local grocery stores, and the selection is somewhat limited in comparison, but they have all of my familys favorites when it comes to dairy, beverages, bulk grains, and produce. I shop here once a week and Ive never had a bad experience.
Its way too expensive for ordinary items. But they have great gourmet food. The bakery is wonderful. The cheese lasagna is to die for.
Folks were very helpful. However, there was an employee who has a smart mouth and needs to be corrected..
Went on a hunt for Gluten Free items today. Market of Choice is the Promised Land! So many choices. So much food I can eat!
The deli counter lady was very nice and the cashier was friendly. They have the best deli in town and any natural products that you may need.
Wonderful staff, fantastic products, and affordable too!! Great place for groceries and some specialty items too.
Decent store. Store is a bit upper class and it shows. Love the deli and bakery section, I dont really utilize the rest of the store just because its a bit over priced and alot of organic and healthier options which I dont care for much but for someone that does it would be perfect.
Deli and bakery food is stale. Overpriced. Dont carry gereric brands so they can overcharge you. Safeway WAY better.
Top shelf products and good staff. If it comes in a can Ill go to WinCo but if Im looking for top notch meat, cheese or produce its market of choice. The Willamette location may have a larger inventory but this one has a decent inventory and a more convenient location for most.
Love love this store. Young man who was my cashier was a kind helpful soul.thank you for hiring our youth. Peace
Great Organic Selection & good health foods. My sister loves shopping here. Whenever Im visiting family here, I stop by & pick up stuff I cant find in my local area. Great food, reasonable prices.
Its a fun place, but I always spend way too much on treats. They have the absolute best treats
Great market! Nice staff, great food selection. Love the salad bar.
Great choices. Clean and friendly. Lots of hard to find and specialty items. Very expensive for lots of things especially mainstream items.
I really appreciate being able to shop here, very friendly. They have a good selection and I love being able to buy all my spices in bulk, plus they have a lot of specialty items that Im not able to get from other stores locally👍
Very classy for a grocery store. Better prices than Whole Foods. Lots of organic and pre made meals.
Because this store accepts only 24 deposit cans and bottles, I no longer shop there. Given the very high prices at MOC, one would expect better customer service.
I shop a lot at this store and have been going there 10 years. They have a good selection, all check outs are open when needed and most people there are friendly. I am giving this store a three star rating because a young lady named Alisha in the health foods section has become arrogant, unfriendly and unhelpful She acts like a bully girl in a high school. Not sure why but she needs to be moved to a different store or to the back room since she doesnt like to talk to me or other customers.
We Love shopping here excellent deli great selection a very good place to shop.
Wow! This place is really stocked with all the good stuff! Premium prices for premium items are well worth it. Very clean too!
Fresh fresh fresh organic veggies!
My first time in this store while visiting relatives in Oregon. It reminds me of Wegmans or Whole Foods back East. Top of the line offerings for ANY thing you want.
As usual I had a positive experience at Market of Choice. The cashiers and assistants were very helpful, efficient, and professional.
The store was busy and I couldnt find help. I shop there regularly and usually enjoy my experience.
Great selection of Organic and Conventionally grown products. Many bulk goods and a friendly staff with an emphasis on locally made.
Excellent sushi, great selection and very fresh and well prepared
Great place to shop for groceries. Always a welcoming environment.
Great grocery store. It has a great deli and bakery.
Always good serviceand quality products. Great fresh baked pizza
Lovely clean store with great natural food and local beer selection.
Greg was very kind to me and took back in return even Though they weren’t supposed to at this time. Thanks Greg
Expensive, they do have portland ketchup though
Excellent customer service in the Bakeey this morning! And delicious!
You can always find some quality items here, and staff are very friendly. It has a good collection of beer and wine, too
I bought $12 worth of packaged mushrooms, only to find mold on them when I opened the package an hour later while making dinner. My partner called them and asked for a credit. They refused to give us a credit unless weve brought back the mushrooms. On the surface that might seem reasonable, but if you think about it, its not. Im not spending 30-40 minutes driving there and back for $12 - my time is more valuable than that. They made the mistake, not me, so I dont see how its reasonable to waste my time and money to correct it. Im going with a simpler solution: Ill no longer shop at that location. I may even look for another store altogether.
