It really saddens me that I have to update my review and convert a 5 star to 1. I bought a serviced Mcintosh amplifier at a good price and was very impressed with the business and owner. I felt like I was buying from old school shop, & owner with old school integrity. The amplifier was demonstrated at the shop for a minute or so and I did not rneed more, after all - it was serviced, right? Sadly, after hooking it up at home, I started noticing that from time to time there are problems with one channel: distortion and volume changes that would go away only to return repeatedly. I was sure that once contacting the owner I will be offered help to resolve. I even proposed to invoke the 90 day service warranty and to drop the item myself. However, the emails that before purchase were answered so promptly, were now un-responded... a seller that does not stand behind his products is not someone you would like to buy from.

Speaking with the owner was informative. We listened to an Air Supply concert CD he let me put on to listen to my first Magnepan speakers. Then we moved on to a Paradigm set and a Vandersteen Treo.Great place to listen, no pressure, and good selection of high end equiptment, which is a rarity in the age of home theater in a box. Trust me: a good two channel system will outperform most home theater sets with cheap tiny speakers.Pictures of the Magnepan, Paradigm, and Vandersteen setups attached.

We own an old tuner to which our components would not communicate, so I appealed to Tim, the owner, who has been in business for decades, to help me figure out how to proceed. He was VERY generous with his time and was able to get my system fully functional again. We are so grateful for his kind help. We also bought a set of speakers from him which were a great addition to our system and didnt break the bank.

Bradfords is the spot in town for high-end audio equipment. Staff are hands down the audio experts in this town, and can troubleshoot any listening problem you have. Dont expect BIG BOX pricing or staffing. Bradfords is family owed, staffed by someone who has lived in the community for years. They want to get your listening experience right, and are always interested in hearing how the equipment youve purchased is functioning. The equipment Ive purchased from Bradfords has been exceptional; friends always remark how good our audio systems sound. When I discovered Bradfords years ago I stopped heading to the BIG BOX stores. If you are serious about audio, you need to check out Bradfords.

Tim helped me pick out a great affordable pair of speakers for my new turntable and made sure I had all of the cords/components to get my system up and running that afternoon. Everyone in the shop was genuinely supportive/helpful and zero-percent condescending. Skip the internet and support a knowledgeable and friendly local business :)

The person working there was both knowledgeable and helpful. He had good suggestions for for what I needed. Unfortunately, Bradfords is not the store it was in the 80s and 90s. The store is much smaller than what I remember so there is less selection to choose from. Also with only one person working it is harder help customers.

Spoke with Chad today about a speaker volume knob, switch and cover plate. Was super knowledgeable and super helpful! Highly recommend this place.

All I needed was a cable but they still put in a lot of effort to help me out and treated me no differently than a high dollar spender.

Bradfords is a great place to comfortably choose the exact audio and visual components. When I say comfortable, I mean no pressure, sit and relax...view and listen and then choose.
