This is hands down a nerds paradise! Staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Store is always clean and well organized (especially the dice counter). They do events almost every night of the week, so if you are looking for a place to game with friends, or even find new friends to play with, you can absolutely do it there.When I first started shopping at Cardboard Castle, I was a fairly new tabletop gaming nerd just starting DnD for the first time. The staff really takes you in and helps you get the best out of your gaming. They care more about what you will understand and enjoy than what is pretty and shiny. Im now starting Magic the Gathering and the staff have been so kind and helpful, by teaching me about decks, and even jumping in to show me moves when Im playing. I cannot say enough great things about this store. Its so much more than just a nerdshop. It is my happy place after a bad day and I always feel good after I leave.

To day was their first painting class. For those who wanted step by step instructions, there werent any. The instructors did assist those with questions. I had fun. I went online to get an idea of how I wanted to pain my Owlbear and asked questions as I went. I cant wait for another class.

Most of the store is set up for events related to gaming (card games), but they had a great selection of single cards (Magic, Pokemon, etc.)as well as other game related products.

Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about painting minis. I wish they stocked more Chaos Demons, but thats more GWs fault.

First true roleplaying, miniature, board, and card gaming store I have seen in over 20 years. Augusta is no longer limited to online shopping, or worse - the bookstores that dont know what gaming materials are and put them on the shelves with the novels.

Cardboard castle is one of the local gaming stores in the Augusta area and are very kind and considerate. They carry all major tcgs as well an a great stock of warhammer miniatures and various board games.They are really good people who take good care of you.

Helpful, and plenty of stock, but they stay out of stock on popular cards a lot. Not the greatest rates for cards either, but they do buy rare cards.

Local game stores have typically been good about giving good deals to loyal and local customers. With the recent craze and hype in Pokemon, though, they have been trending in the opposite direction, unfortunately. Have been taking my business elsewhere as a result.

Just found out about the store as I was searching for Force of Will stuff in my area and was very impressed when I finally got time to actually go the store. The staff was very helpful and friendly upon entering the store and knew quite a bit about FOW. I was happy to see they carry a good amount FOW cards now that Im starting to collect once again.I do wish the store hours were longer as its difficult for me to get out to Evans after work due to the drive time and traffic. But hopefully that will change once things calm down in the world. Looking forward to my next visit.

Staff is great, but recent pricing for Pokemon is ridiculous. They are taking advantage of the current climate and people will remember when things settle down. When you can buy product from scalpers on ebay cheaper than your LGS that says something. DisappointingEdit: Yes, galar packs are $25 on ebay but $40 on your website. BS ETBs are $60 and they are not even out yet.

The store itself will have practically everything you need from any card game to board and tabletop games, you will be able to find what you are looking for. I cant wait for FNM to return, it is one of the most premiere places for good clean fun in Augusta.

Its a paper mtg store like for sure. Thier other games are very limited. Ive been hearing they host underground mtg tournaments but they wont do it for any other games so its a bummer. I have to go to Greenville to play with 30 other dudes I live 10 minutes away from...

I went to the opening and will definitely be back! The staff was super friendly and helped my friends and I figure out the rules to a game we were trying to play but had questions about. This place has a really inviting atmosphere & a ton of interesting games to look through. I’m not a magic player, but they also have a lot of really neat/pretty cards in their display that are cool to look at.

Went to the soft open January 3rd. Loved it! Some great product. Friendly folks. Some opening glitches, but they kept smiling and making it work. Seems like a really fun place. Will definitely visit again.

The new location looks great. The extra space is serving them well for more retail on board games. Once they can hold MTG and Pokémon tournaments again the extra space will really help.

This is a fantastic New location. The last place was a bit of a hole in the wall, but this place is great. Plenty of room to play whatever game you want and they have good stock of common games people are interested in.

They rip you off for card trade ins. I turned in a list of cards that equaled out to about $315 and I understand they only give you 75% of it but that would still be around $236. I instead got $120.

In town visiting family, decided to stop by see what they had. Was a great atmosphere, it was busy while I was there however the what I assume to be owner was super nice and made sure to help me. Will definitely go back in the future

The new location is very nice and a definite upgrade! Their selection of games for sell and house play is excellent. They also have a great selection of snack and drinks to choose from and ample room to stretch out and play games. All and all a great asset to the CSRA!

Big space for events, clean and tidy areas. Good use of TV screens and audio. Lots of items discounted, especially playmats-good gravy. I had a lot of fun playing D&D here, will continue to part with my hard-earned coin at this establishment.

Let me start off by keeping it simple.This is a buisness worth your time. The store is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.So what does cardboard castle offer. Primarily it is a TCG store. They have everything from singles to card mats. Anything you need to play your card game of choice they will probably have. In addition to card game related items they have a good selection of board games, warhammer models, D&D books and other related items like paints.The store has plenty of space to play any games you could be interested in. Specifically they have tons of table space and chairs to play board games, D&D and TCG games as well as custom made tables for mini wargames.To top it all off the store is constantly running event such as Friday night magic, D&D adventures league, X-wing game days and so much more.This is hands down the best store in the area for all your gaming needs.

Great spot to hang out the employees are really nice and amazing, parking can get a little hard if there are events going on. The people who come are cool and everyone feels welcomed! its near quite a few restaurants and easy to get in. Overall I would recommend anyone who wants to go to an event or compete in a tournament this would be the place to do it.

The shop itself is a good place to search for new and interesting board games that you might not see in a big box toy department. Usually getting in new stock every so often. CBC also offers a great selection of collectable trading card games, like Magic, and Pokemon.The true appeal though is the community of players who come here, although it does certainly have a bit of a social barrier to push through in order to really enjoy it. It can be intimidating to walk in and see dozens of people playing in Super Smash Bros or Magic The Gathering tournament. Its like walking into a party you werent invited to, it can be difficult for a lone person to walk in on a normal day and enjoy themselves while everyone else seems to know exactly what theyre doing while you dont. The place is usually filled with people who intended to play in their social circles or have made plans to focus on the weekly tournament.That being said, if you come in as an inquisitive observer, you will find that the people who are there are friendly, and open to those interested in learning more about what theyre playing. And while there certainly are larger focuses on more higher level play of competitive games, there are usually groups who are there to play more classic board games that can appeal to entry levels level players.The shop is very open to letting small groups simply have a place to sit and enjoy their own games themselves. I have a group that enjoys taking a Sunday afternoon with drinks and snacks and playing fun board games weve enjoyed for years, along with finding new ones the shop lends to players during our visits. There may be those around us focused on the card tournament of the day, but as long as were not interfering with that, we are welcomed to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.All in all, If youre interested in gaming, whether it be board, card, or video games, youll have a good time here. Bring a friend, talk with the owners, sit down for a game of monopoly and enjoy yourself.

Great place to play games and buy products! I am a magic player that only played kitchen table magic with a few friends before coming here. After attending one of their prerelease events a few years ago I was hooked not only with the shop itself but with the community. I was a VERY inexperienced player at the time and my opponents and staff were very patient and helpful whenever I had a question. Years later and I am still enjoying my local game shop CARDBOARD CASTLE GAMES! You guys rock!

I was passing through on a work trip and happy to have found this place. Awesome crowd, 36 people playing commander on a Friday night. The prize wheel is a fun way to make FNM more interesting. Drinks and snacks are at very reasonable prices, which is something Im not used to at a card shop.

Went in for some Pokemon cards, employee asked what I wanted to see. 10 minutes later he finally pulled them out. He kept ditching me to talk to others. He sat down and must have googled how much the cards were worth. All overpriced. He then proceeds to tell me he needs to call the owner to see other prices. Then he ditches me again to talk to 5 other customers. I left. Horrible place. No selection unless you like Magic the Gathering. Will not be going back.

Very closed off. If you arent from the community they arent really open to new people. I sat in a chair for 5 min waiting to be acknowledged by the staff dude playing game boy... didnt happen. Im from out of town just trying to get in to a game didnt happen. if you are willing to spend the time to become an insider i think it would be a nice place, if you are transiting through just looking for an open environment and meet some like minded people, not the place. tried three or 4 times wont be going back.

Ive played at all 3 local gaming location. Sad to say, the experience here starts great with the owners. Theyre super friendly, but every time I went it smelled like someone was smoking pot and then going to game. This sadly isnt something the store itself can help. The magic nights are fun though, unless you had Super Smash brothers going. Then I struggle to hear my opponent, and anyone else for that matter due to the idiots shouting and creating a ruckus.

The employees are fantastic, and knowledgeable about magic the gathering, Pokemon, and several other random games that are not widespread. The prices beat EVERY OTHER PLACE to get any of the items they sell. If they cant answer a question immediately, they will find you the answer, no matter how busy they are.

Went here twice just for some stuff. Barely anything but Pokemon and Magic. I go in and see only one product from Yugioh which was what I was looking for. Another time I went in, I sold an entire binder worth of over $100 of Pokemon cards. Come out with a solid $50. I was told by the guy we only give back 50% of the price which is ridiculous. Even if you give back 50% it shouldve been around $70. Ive been to several locations but this might be one of the worst.

While Im not from Augusta (from Savannah), the shop is rather nice. The owners and staff have been nothing but nice with me. Some of the patrons are kinda closed off, but the prices and owners make it all better.
