I wanted some premium sugar-free chocolates for my parents and visited this local place not knowing what to expect. The woman at the register greeted us kindly and gave us a good overview of the immense selection of chocolates. After my first bite, i was absolutely shocked at the quality of the chocolate. These were amazing!! I had the sugar-free dasies and almond milk and dark chocolates. I loved the dark chocolate but i have an innate preference towards them. The rich taste and creamy texture could infect anyone with a sweet tooth.In short, excellent customer service, Immense selection and probably the best chocolates i have had.

First time there last week. Of course chocolates were good, but the man who took care of me was so unfriendly and cold.

I feel like I’m raining on a 5 star parade but I’ve eaten chocolate from all around the world and this place isn’t really that great. I got my husband the sampler pack for his birthday and honestly the only standout piece was the “Patrice”. Mind boggling how this place has 5 stars from so many people. To each their own.

Every retail store I have shopped at, has been able to verify a $100 bill. But at Piron Chocolatier they do not have the necessary device(s) to authenticate a $100 dollar bill. It was so pitifully comical watching the young female employee creating so much drama over trying to qualify the $100 dollar bill that came straight from CitiBank. I was really looking forward to surprising my wife with One Pound of Piron’s Delicious Dark Chocolate Covered Orange Peel on her birthday today. It is hard for me to believe that this store has never encountered a $100 dollar bill.

Just the best for 36 years! I treat myself to the dark chocolate creme caramel. Chocolate covered orange slices are my husbands favorite. Every selection is truly a hostess or birthday gift I am excited to present.

Always such a wonderful place to purchase candy,for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion and if you just want to treat yourself to some of this delicious and fresh candies,very, very friendly staff,senior discounts every Wednesday of the month.

This is the best chocolate I have ever eaten in my life, and I eat a lot of chocolate. My wife calls this chocolate what other chocolate aspires to be. The strawberry cream tastes like actual strawberries, not strawberry flavor. Im writing this review because we had to move away and due to an unseasonable warm spell the only shipping option was like $140 so I had to get Jacques Torres for Valentines Day. I mean dont get me wrong, we ate it and thats the very definition of a first world problem, but Piron is an entire level beyond.

Superb chocolate. Friendly service. When things get busy, they could use some better processes. Walk in, and you could be in for a wait. Call in, and youll be told they will try to have the box ready, but no promises.I totally understand the staff feeling overwhelmed, and dont blame them one bit. I think management should consider a way to take orders like that in a way that doesnt make a customer just show up and see whether its ready, and doesnt make each staff member have to make impossible estimates or just tell customers maybe.But thats the only downside. Best chocolates in the Chicago area, IMO, and friendly people.

Excellent chocolate! I stayed in Belgium for a while and this chocolatier is on point. Nothing is better than Belgian chocolate and this shop doesnt disappoint. You can drop by for a single truffle or get a nice gift box. 100% recommended.

Wonderful handmade chocolates. Very nice service. In the hot weather we had recently, they were concerned that my chocolates would suffer on the way home despite the cooler I brought, so they gave me an ice pack.

The finest and most delightful chocalates and other assorted treats. Visit for the incredible smell of the small shop alone, but bring home treats, and make this your destination for gifts, too. Reminds me of the shops in Brussels.

Definitely the very best chocolate specially location in the area. They are a small place an all they do is what they do, but they do it without compromise. Everything is great, but the dark Fruit de Mer are my personal favorite.

I dont hate chocolate, which is sweet enough to cause a headache, but this is a real Belgian chocolate. This type is hard to find in the United States.This is a wonderful shop with a letter of thanks from the Emperor and Empress. There are various types of chocolate, so it is hard to choose, but if you have trouble choosing, there is also an assorted chocolate box. I always bought it for souvenirs.There are Chicago-style mint chocolates, and there is also a type that contains chocolate in a container made of chocolate for gifts.
