I recently switched optometrist and chose Dr. LaBrosse. Her eye exams are incredibly thorough and she has been patiently working with me one-on-one to find the perfect pair of contact lenses that correct my farsightedness. Her staff is friendly, efficient, and helped me chose new eye glasses. I also like that I can book appointments online, receive text reminders for upcoming appointments, and the office is conveniently located in my neighborhood.

Dr. Labrosse and staff are wonderful! Been going for annual visits for several years, purchased the most comfy pair of blue light glasses at the start of the pandemic and recently purchased new prescription frames. The selection process was a breeze thanks to their staff. Dr. LaBrosse truly cares about eye health and goes above and beyond to ensure that my vision is taken care of.The rest of the staff is attentive, helpful, and kind. When issues with an order of mine came up, they worked quickly to rectify it and make it right.On top of all of that, their selection of frames is super slick—I’ve never left feeling anything less than great about the frames I’ve gotten.

Got my glasses adjusted here today. Quick, easy, and super professional. They immediately saw what was needed and had no trouble making the adjustments. A wonderful experience and I will certainly be back!

Dr. LaBrosse was extremely thorough and helped with more than I even anticipated when making the appointment. I left extremely satisfied with my prescription sunglasses (my original purpose) plus helpful recommendations to address periodic migraines (magnesium) and styes that had lingered for many months (and a handful of eye doctors before her were unable to provide any successful resolution). Very friendly and detailed team in the office as well. Highly recommended!

I just saw the doc there who always gives me a perfect prescription. Then, I had 5 pair of glasses made..most were old pairs and four came back with in about a week. I then decided to update another pair and that was finished by the next day! I cant say enough about the friendly and skilled staff there..especially the doctor and Peter. Other places have never provided this kind of service and precision. They are wonderful.

I scheduled an appointment here based on the excellent reviews. Everyone here is friendly, professional and helpful! Dr Deana fully explained my astigmatism issue & patiently let me try out 2 different pairs of contacts (multi focal vs. mono-vision). I’ve never had an optometrist clearly explain what was going on with my eyes & the various options available. I then brought my daughter here for an eye exam and Peter expertly helped her find a new stylish pair of frames. I’m going to schedule the rest of my family for their yearly eye exams!

I have only the best to say about the jeweler-like work Evanston Eye Wellness did to reconfigure a pair of LaFont (fancy and French) frames that were left bent and distorted after they were refitted with new lenses elsewhere. ~ Bonus: on another pair, they also fixed a hinge that was damaged, by me, being careless. Happy customer.

Our entire family goes to Evanston Eye Wellness and we have each had a wonderful experience. The entire staff is knowledgeable and warm. Our most recent visit was for my son and he was treated with respect and care as he moved through his exam and into the process of choosing glasses. I recently moved to Evanston from Boston and lost my glasses along the way. Jason couldnt have been more helpful in getting me scheduled for an eye exam and later to pick out my frames; and, Dr. LaBrosse and her assistant handled the exam with the utmost professionalism. Top notch doctor and eye care, especially for dry eyes!I found Dr. LaBrosse years ago and travel 20 miles for care here. She is informed about and has all the latest technology, especially for dry eyes. After just two sessions with her Equinox light therapy machine, I can wear contacts again without discomfort! The treatments are comfortable and relaxing. As a health care practitoner, I have recommended Dr. LaBrosse to many patients. She is caring and clearly wants her patients to do well. She helped my daughter, too, with a specialized glasses prescription, after previous doctors failed to figure out why she had eye strain when reading with glasses. The staff at Evanston Eye Wellness is always very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The glasses frames here are really stylish and unique, too. Couldnt recommend more highly!

My husband and I have been going to Evanston Eye Wellness for a few years. This year my son joined the bad eyes team and now we all go. Dr. LaBrosse and her team are so kind and accommodating.Recently, my son started wearing a special kind of contact lens that he wears at night. After the first night, he could not get them out of his eyes and we had a lot of anxious panic going on at our house. I called Dr. LaBrosse and her team and they had us come in right away (my son was still in in his PJs) and helped get the lenses out and did a refresher on how to get them in and out. That is true customer service.If you need an eye doctor, definitely go to Evanston Eye Wellness.

Zero star for this type of behavior! I hate being lied to, and taken advantage of, to scrap up some dollars! I was charged for services that I never asked for, nor was I previously warned of possible out of pocket cost during my eye visit. I insisted on knowing the final cost before booking. Was given a price and booked accordingly, was then billed 4 times the initial given price! Being ethical as a medical professional start by being honest and truthful to your clients. I would suggest MyEyeDr, at least, they told my friend upfront how much they will be charged. This is unethical and unacceptable!

This place is amazing! The doctor is so helpful and great at what she does. I went in today because I got a small piece of debris lodged in my eye while on my motorcycle. She got it right out totally pain free. Staff is great too thanks again!

I cannot speak highly enough of the folks and care at Evanston Eye Wellness! From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I was walking into a beloved family friend’s home for dinner! The staff is beyond kind, and it is evident that they take such pride in making you comfortable and welcoming you! Not to mention that everyone has such light and witty banter that makes it feel all the more like a place of comfort and inclusiveness! Dr. LaBrosse is fantastic and clearly takes the time to really get to know her patient’s and their unique health histories. She adjusted my glasses to have prisms due to a corrective cosmetic surgery that did not fix the actual muscle: what a positive difference her analysis and recommendation made! And, better yet, the staff who assist in fitting you for new glasses know exactly what frames to suggest that complement your look and give you a fresh feel! I wish I worked from home here because my work family would always be such a jubilant delight!

We moved to Evanston recently and are so glad we found Dr. LaBrosse and her staff! She provided me with extensive information about my retinal health and asked me if I had any questions for her at the end of our appointment. I really appreciate it when doctors take the time to explain things, especially something so delicate as your eyes. Justin at the front desk is extremely organized as well. He made sure to gather all of our information and asked us to fill out forms prior to our appointment so we didn’t have to spend any more time than necessary in the waiting area. Justin even wiped down the chair for me before I sat down. This office takes COVID precautions very seriously. Everyone was wearing a mask and there is plenty of hand sanitizer available.

Everyone was very nice and helped me more than I could have expected. It was much better than the Walmart experience that I used to go through.

Love, love, love this practice. Everyone is so friendly. I chose them initially for the cool selection of frames, and while they do have great frames, they also have great service. Would highly recommend!

Dr LaBrosse has been my doctor for 4 -5 years. She is wonderful! She is well educated in traditional eye care and she also looks to organic ways through diet to help your long term eye health. Dr La Brosse is very thorough. She has a great selection of unique frames. Her staff is patient and very helpful with frame selection. My last exam along with my teenage daughter was in the summer of 2020. Her Covid-19 office arrangements made us feel safe and welcoming. The best part of our last appointment is that I purchased great looking eye glasses for my daughter (and for me) that she actually wears! Now that is a testament to their excellence!

I have struggled to find a eye doctor I was happy with. My long-time Dr. retired, so I went to a chain store. The service was fine, but the doctor changed each year I went back. I think continuity is important, so I went to Dr. Labrosse. The exam was very thorough and she took the time to explain everything to me.

I have been there twice. First time, they gave me the wrong (more expensive) prescription, and no refund for fixing their mistake (I paid over $900 for $500 glasses). Second time, two years later, the new prescription is just not right - glasses are not working out (my $15 over-the-counter glasses work better). I feel like I should go back, but not worth the effort. I will go elsewhere.(Ben is a pseudonym. Thank you, Doctor, for response. Yours is, unfortunately, the correct establishment. I really liked you, but things did not work out.).

Dr. Labrosse was really informative and kind. I liked that she walked me through her reasoning. I also took a retina image while I was there and I appreciated the time she took to walk me through the results. The staff here was also very welcoming and helpful.

I’ve seen the Dr. once and really loved her. But the front desk associate was absurdly rude when I called to book an appointment for my son. Dr. was nice, but not worth tolerating the level of ignorance I experienced by the front desk person. I will be finding a new dr.

Doctor LaBrosse was very nice and evaluated my eyes asking plenty of questions to get a proper diagnosis, the store had a decent selection of glasses with a variety of frames. They even helped me find a pair and measured them to fit my face size.

Great local eye clinic. Dr. LaBrosse provided a comprehensive exam and was very friendly. In fact the whole staff is very friendly and welcoming. I was also able to get my glasses adjusted free of charge. The office is cozy and modern. The fact they were playing good music was just a bonus. Its been about a billion years since Id been to the eye doctor, but Ive been dealing with some eyeball issues and it was time to get my peepers checked out.I was in and out! I was seen on time, my exam was thorough and attentive, and armed with a battery of completed tests my issue was quickly diagnosed.Ordered a set of glasses with helpful staff thatll arrive within 7-10 business days and set myself up for some follow-ups as well.Overall, Id recommend Evanston Eye Wellness.

I have been a patient with Dr. Labrosse now for the past several years. During a recent visit she discovered a minor issue regarding my overall eye health. I am certainly glad to be in her care as she has worked to quickly resolve the issue. This has certainly not been without a little eye care education and ongoing communication with her and the staff. Took both my daughters to Dr. Labrosse. She had an excellent rapport with them (5 and 6 years old). She uncovered an eyesight issue and prescribed glasses that arrived quickly and were the perfect prescription.Couldnt be happier with her care. Both kids look forward to going back!

Dr. LaBrosse was fantastic to work with! The exam was done thoroughly and she even noticed the eczema on my eyelids, asked what lotion I used and helped me pinpoint what ingredients could be causing irritation. She is very conscientious and thorough, I will certainly be back in the future.

This was my first experience at this location. I have to say I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees were excellent. I got an awesome pair of glasses thanks to their trunk show they had by Etnia Barcelona! Will definitely make this my go to eye doctor now.

My mother had some hard to define problems after cataract surgery. Her surgeon and other doctors couldnt figure out what was wrong. Dr. LaBrosse examined her eyes and was the first to correctly identify the problem and get her on the right eye drops and care regimen to fix it. She is extremely kind, caring and smart! We cant recommend her highly enough.

I took my daughter here after several years of going to an opto on Central for myself and for her. I hate to change doctors, but I also cant stand practices that arent respectful of my time and Id had enough.I wouldnt change anything about her first year experience at Evanston Eye Wellness. The office is really wonderfully thought out and very convenient and centrally located. The frame selection seems to be very well curated and diverse, rather than the same 3 similar frames 20 different times in different colors, which really helped us select quickly without angst. The staff are polite, communicative, and engaged, and the doc was really kind and engaged with my daughter.The office has a post-2000 technology setup with online appointment scheduling, email reminders, text notifications when pickup is ready, etc.The best part aside from the 45 minutes or so we spent in total in the office to get my 8 year olds glasses is the endless compliments she has been getting in the months since on how wonderful they look and how well she wears them. I am delighted!

I agree with Riana Lynn. In my experience, her staff errored (and could have cared less - instead of an apology, the one said she had nothing else to say) and Dr. L chose to support her staff at my expense.
