Replaced broken double pane window in bedroom. Office was responsive and technician (Efrem) was ontime, knowledgeable and professional. We highly recommend this service.

I tried to use this business for a couple of design projects but honestly the owner seemed really uninterested and down right dismissive and not willing to help. I definitely had an icky feeling when Leaving. I would say if you’re a POC avoid this place.

Dropped off a glass shelf for my shower to be duplicated and 10 days after having the shelf at their store I decided to call and get an update on the progress.When I dropped it off, the two guys working behind the counter barely stopped their conversation with each other to find out what I needed, so I was a bit concerned at this point. I asked them if they kept records of past jobs they had done since I had them make this exact shelf about a year prior. They said no they didn’t keep records of past orders. I asked how long it would take and they said give them a week to 10 days. So that’s what I did.Today when I talked to Jim at the store he said to give him til Wednesday April 14, and the shelf would be done. About an hour later Jim calls back and says that the shelf is going to need special glass and cuts and that they would need to send it out somewhere to have done. I asked why this wasn’t done when I dropped it off and he said “we’re busy and we do things first in first out”. He couldn’t tell me why no one had even looked at this job prior to my phone call.Needless to say I’ll be picking up my original shelf and bring it to a more reputable company like Ashland Glass at 3926 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago, or Chicago Glass & Mirror at 3956 N Elston AveChicago, IL 60618. I called both these stores and they said they could get it back to me within the week.Evanston Glass and Mirror has been around for many years. It’s a shame they let their customer service become so awful.

Never mind that the guy at the front desk (not sure if he is the owner/manager) is snarky and condescending. I took a single, small screen in for repair. It took them TWO MONTHS to finally get around to fixing it, and then they had the nerve to charge me $30. AND, they put the spring clips back on the wrong side! I would have taken it back to them but i didnt feel like waiting another to months. PISS POOR service.

Decent Glass shop where there are not many options. Have had to call back a few times to get some work done, but they do pretty good work at a reasonable price. I would recommend and they have been pretty reliable.

Job 1: Beautiful coffee table top done quickly at a reasonable cost and delivered. Job 2: They put a new metal screen in a full view screen door. It’s great, they delivered, installed and were polite and patient with my silly question when I failed to understand something. This shop is an Evanston treasure.

My contractor recommended Evanston Glass & Mirror for the manufacture and installation of a new shower door. I stopped into their retail location in Evanston and scheduled an appointment. A few days later, a man came to my house and measured for the door. He told me that they’d provide an estimate in a day or so. And then...nothing. I never heard from them. My calls of inquiry werent returned. Disappointed. Ive now moved on to another resource for the door.

3.5 weeks later, still waiting for screens. Really? I sent a copy of an older invoice with measurements on it via text when I placed the order, made sure to clearly state MY name and MY number as a contact. 2.5 weeks later I call, and am told they were ready and a call was placed to the persons name on the invoice. Then I was told they werent ready. What? Was assured theyd be ready last Friday or Saturday. Called today, nope, sitting in a file (again, what?) under the same persons name...not mine. So maybe theyll be ready today. Maybe. Or maybe soon itll be too chilly(WINTER IS COMING) and I wont need them, or maybe Ill order from somewhere else that knows how to write down contact info thats been given THREE TIMES. Close to a month for 3 screens - ridiculous.

They say 10 days before they can get the replacement tempered glass for my bathroom and they suggested to put in clear glass in the meantime which I thought was a great idea but when I went back to install the window into the track I tried forcing it in before I realized that the window replacement was a different size and I almost broke the track. Now I have to waste more time taking it back so they can repair their work...

These Guys are good. they are fair and back up their work. No credit cards, but they do respond well to cash.I do handy projects and get all kinds of stuff for my jobs.

Over priced. Long wait time for frosted glass. It was a few years ago. But when I called for another project. They would not come out to give me a quote
