Great stuff no pushing a sale on me. I browsed for an hour, still did not see everything. I will definitely go back
Sweet lady, very accommodating. Stumbled upon this shop when driving by. Decided to wander in and take a look around. Happy that I stopped. Beautiful items. Looking through items I found 2 beautiful wooden chairs. Negotiated the price a little which was awesome. So happy that I decided to stop. Got the chance to speak to the owner who as I mentioned was a very sweet lady. Will most definitely make a stop when driving through again in the future!
We come from Connecticut and we stop by this antique shop when ever we go to Rhode Island. We love browsing through this shop. The owner goes out of her way to make us feel welcome, and to accommodate us on what we are looking for. Also we feel her prices are very reasonable compared to other shops that we visit. We highly recommend Cookies Antiques Shop to our friends and family!
Over cluttered store; levels of junk hide the few items of any value. So cold that the water from the leaky roof freezes in the dishes (there is one small section of heated space). Very disorganized, many prices are not clearly marked. Striations of dust cover all items. Many items are well over priced. Few deals to be found, but generally not worth the price, trip, or time.NOTE:As a Local Google Guide, I do NOT get paid. I do reviews solely to help consumers to make make wise choices. Certainly great business owners benefit from honest good reviews, while other not-so-great businesses owners do not.
A little shop of found treasures! I stopped by looking for vintage tea cups/saucers and found several pairs that I absolutely love. I enjoyed taking in all that was on display and hunting through the shelves, while talking with the owner on the special history of this family run shop. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping by!
Cookies has been one of my favorite places to visit and pick antiques and vintage clothing for over 3 decades. I had a shop of my own in Providence for about 20 years and Cookies was one of my best antique sources. There is still always a treasure there waiting for me! The atmosphere has always been like home and the thrill of the hunt always a pleasure for me. In years past, Cookie and Rhoda were the host and hostess with the most generosity of any two people I knew. Price tags mean nothing at Cookie,s. I as a customer always come away feeling I have been given a gift. Now that Rhoda is running Cookies on her own, she always makes me feel welcome and her generosity continues. Rare to find the combination of successful business woman and the kind soul that she is. There continues to be new/old interesting things in her shop and I just LOVE all her costume jewelry! Antiques and fine jewelry dont last long at Cookies. She has a loyal customer base that love her, her shop, and her interesting inventory!
It said it was open until four so we showed up around 330 the lights were on and everything. We walked up to the front door and it was locked then we walked in the side door and apparently walked into someone’s living room. This is a very uncomfortable experience....Edit: as you can see the owner is very rude with my understanding of where the front door to their shop is 🙄 have some respect if you want people to come to your shop.
Owner was extremely rude when I entered the wrong door. I was attacked for giving them a one star review when they could have just gave me another opportunity to visit their store. I will never return back to this awful business. Thanks for the warning.
I have visited this location, because I had driven by it and had an impulse to pull in! I love Antiques and I love exploring Antique shops! I purchased a candle holder and an old cake tray from the 1800s. I would love to email the owner for more communication if possible, thanks so much!
RIs best kept secret. Fabulous assortment of antiques, gifts and hidden gems!
I love this place, and I hope it never changes!I have been coming here since I was just a kid, literally treasures around every corner!!When I go antiquing and flea marketing I am always prepared to and prefer to get dirty and dig for my treasures.....Its like being on American Pickers :)Side note: its always best to go shopping for antiques before hitting up the brewery.....lots of breakables and one of a kind pieces......not a good place to be tipsy
Cookies is a diamond in the rough and has been that way for the last 50 years. I wouldnt change a thing. The fun and anticipation of finding something special is what its all about! I love it and will return..Rhoda is sweet and wonderful❤
Wonderful shop with a wonderful owner, this place has been there for over 50 years. If some people knew anything about antiquing they would know Most people love to pick through clutter.Doesn’t matter how messy or if there’s cobwebs🕸🕷The owner is Not overpriced, most of the time she just about gives her treasures away because that’s just the way she is.Maybe people shouldn’t go to a brewery before they go antiquing, or maybe keep their reviews to themselves because like my mother always said “If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything, and don’t go back “😜
This shop is an amazing treasure chest of goodies! You can spend hours looking through all of the goods. I highly recommend checking out Cookies!
Some of my most cherished antiques came from Cookies Shop, not to mention a cherished friendship. If you are looking for a fancy dancy shop where everything is polished and in place, do your next U-ey somewhere else. Rhodas loyal customers dont come in with a critical eye but with a wealth of good will because she is not just a shopkeeper. She is a counselor, a mentor, and a friend to many. So if a cobweb here and there scares you, just drive on by, but if you love to poke through the possibilities like I do, stop and visit. No dress code required.
Ive shopped at Cookies Shop for over 50 years. We furnished our house with many items when first married. I was always touched by the numerous youths that had hard times and relied on Cookie and Rhoda to have a spot at the table for them over the years.Cookie passed away 12 years ago, and Rhoda (the sweetest caring women you could ask for) is trying her best to keep the store afloat. The store has gems to be found ; but you have to look. What is there today may be sold tomorrow. It is a great store for the crafter who invisions unique projects. The artist or photographer looking for that unique piece or just the ordinary Joe who needs some glasses or furniture to complete their apartment.
Cookies has been the same for over 50 years and thats the way I like it. Every turn is a treasure hunt for a unique and exciting find. Weather it is a exquisite jade fountain pen with a story, a rare collectors typewriter, or beautiful tea cups from a long gone era, always a pleasure to visit with the owner by her rustic wood stove and share a coffee, swap stories and a smile. A must whenever i am in Exeter, RI.
I absolutely love love love this shop.It original eclectic atmosphere is what makes its charm.Every time I go its a new adventure filled with amazing treasures. The owner Rhoda is always so helpful and a delight to chat with.

This place has been open for as long as I can remember. We came here last Saturday before we went to a party. Walked thru and found some odd and ends and read a article back from the 90s talking about how you can find anything.
