Paid for an hour of range time was my first time at this range. Used a couple different guns wasn’t really sure of what I was doing and when I asked for help the range officer insulted me not only that called me the “N” word and made me leave. Lost my money and didn’t learn anything . Would not recommend. Noticed someone else got kicked out too would not recommend. Once again range officer named John.

The staff here are very nice. The range is clean and well ventilated. They also have a nice selection of firearms to rent so you can try before you buy. Interestingly Google didnt ask me to do a review like it does with EVERY other place I even stop near, soooooo, here it is. A great place to practice your shooting skills. Go check them out.

What an amazing place!! Its not only is the environment clean, well staffed, and safe, but they offer a ton of classes--literally something for everyone! Whether youre a novice (Intro to Pistols, etc.) or a seasoned shooter (Defensive Handgun I, II, and III!), theres something here for you! And if you think that shooting ranges are just for men, think again! From Gals with Guns to Ladies Night, women should feel very comfortable here!! John and Libby are avid supporters of the military and veterans, so know that your time and money are well spent here!!

My son and I visited on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted by the very attentive staff. When we stated that this was our first visit we were given a tour of the store and shooting range. There was a broad selection of firearms to purchase and an extensive amount of firearms to rent for the shooting range. The prices for rentals and purchases were reasonable. We rented a sidearm and spent 30 minutes on the modern indoor range. The range officer explained the range rules, demonstrated how the electronic target system operates and offered friendly advice to improve our shooting techniques. My son and I were very impressed by the store and the service. Before leaving, I purchased a sidearm and have been very pleased with it ever since. We live over 30 miles away but this is now one of our favorite gun shops to visit.

We were told by the guy downstairs we still had time to get an hours worth of shooting in but were only able to purchase a half hour after getting upstairs. The range guy was rude. He said one of my shots hit on the ceiling at the end of the range, when my husband told him I had hit the target he said yes but it hit the ceiling down range and if I did it again he would have to kick us out. But the entire ceiling of the range had been shot to pieces before we ever fired a shot so they must be kicking alot of people out. It was a bit pricey, we rented a gun to try out and had to purchase ammo for it, we would have got more for our money if we had been able to shoot it for an hour instead of just 30 minutes. The range guy should not get up in your personal space so much especially when there is no safety concern

While the first few visits were awesome, we quickly became aware that not all of their range officers are created equal. Last weekend was the worst range visit Ive ever had (I visit a few).My son decided to buy me an AR for Christmas. He was very proud of this (I was too).Of course the next day we headed to Fox to try it out. This was a Range Officer we hadnt met before. He was not only unfriendly, at times flat out rude, to the extent of making a rude comment to another shooter as we left. He definitely took a fun/proud day and turned it around.I certainly hope this was an isolated incident but I hate to make the drive on the chance we would have the same experience.

Im a beginner shooter and yesterday was my first time shooting at Fox Shooting Loft and also first time shooting at an Indoor Range. Range Staff Rick helped get me acquainted with using the trolley system. After a few mags I asked Rick for some advice on getting tighter groups. Rick proceeded to give me an hour long training session on adjusting my grip, target shooting, and tactical shooting; all of which greatly improved my shooting in a very short time. I felt more comfortable, relaxed, and more confident in my gun handling abilities. A+ goes out to Fox Shooting Loft and Rick for all the help.Would Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

First, let me say that the gun shop on the ground floor is helpful, and generally knowledgeable about the products they sell. My reservation is about the range upstairs. After my last few visits and a discussion with the range officer I have some grave doubts about the place. The clerk at the range desk had minimal knowledge about guns and inspected and passed my 55, 62, and 77 grain lead core copper jacketed 223/5.56 ammo.During my shooting session my 5.56 ammo was inspected twice more to insure it wasnt steel jacketed. After the fifth time I asked the range master if this wasnt overkill, and was told it wasnt. Per the range master steel jacketed & 62 grain and heavier 5.56/223 ammo were armor piercing, and that the bullets would send fragments at the firing line creating hazardous injuries and punching holes through their AR500 steel back stop. The range master then told me about two incidents with 5.56 steel jacketed ammo to prove his point. The first was that their target rails had been disabled in the past by shooters using steel jacketed ammo shooting high at the ceiling. The second was that that the range floor and ceiling were damaged by a shooter bump firing a 30 round magazine using steel jacketed 223/5.56 rounds from the hip!The above incidents seem more due to poor oversight by the range master than the type of bullet used. I have also seen other range masters here clean/sweep brass from around shooters while theyre firing which in my opinion is a safety no-no.I really didnt like writing this review, but sometimes enough is enough.

As a gun dealer, I was very surprised and disappointed with the interaction and requests from this shop. Ive been in business for 6 years and have never done business the way this shop requested. Other than the process and required information they were wanting, they were nice. I cant say anything regarding the storefront, as Im a dealer and never went to their shop.

This was my second visit. I am from out of town and always look for a range when visiting my family in Kettering, OH. This is an excellent modern shooting facility with plenty of firearms to rent or purchase. They have a large selection of ammo as well. Their rental rates are the best around. For $10, you can rent 3 guns and everyone in your party can shoot them. Ammo for the rentals is reasonably priced as well.My nephew and I were there for two hours, rented 3 guns, two boxes of ammo, a large target, and 12 small targets that change colors when you shoot them all for $88 without any discounts. They even gave me two AAA batteries from the office for my hearing protection and didnt even charge me for them!If you are anywhere near Fairborn, OH, go by Fox Shooting Loft for a great experience at the range. These guys are awesome!

Nice building, everything is tidy and easy to find. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Good selection of stuff. Prices arent terrible but could be better. My only real gripes are very expensive firearm transfer fees ($40 is way too much when there is a $5 transfer place in Fairborn) and a years membership is $250... Granted I have not used the range but I dont think theres an indoor range out there worth that amount so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Ill visit the range soon to give a better evaluation. Lower the transfer fees to a realistic $15 and you will have 5 stars.

THIS IS MY HOME TOWN GUN STORE, MUST ADMIT WHEN THEY FIRST OPENED THEY HAD A VERY GOOD SELECTION OF FIREARMS. OVER TIME THEY SEEM TO BE TRANSITIONING INTO CONSIGNMENT ONLY. THE GUNS ON CONSIGNMENT ARE ALL OVER PRICED AND MOST ARE INTERNET BUILDS FROM CUSTOMERS WANTING DOUBLE THE PRICE THEY HAVE IN THE FIREARM. OTHER THAN THAT THEY DO NOT EVEN CARRY A SINGLE CAN OF CLP. AND EVERY TIME YOU ASK AN ASSOCIATE ABOUT A FIREARM, THEY RESPOND WITH, WELL WE DONT HAVE IT BUT WE CAN ORDER IT. AND THEY NORMALLY WANT ROUGHLY 200 TO 300 DOLLARS MORE THAN COMPETITORS. I LIKE GIVING SMALL TOWN BUSINESSES IN THE AREA MY BUSINESS BUT THEY DO NOT EVEN TRY TO BE COMPETITIVE WITH OTHER PRICES! IF YOU ASKED ME 2 YEARS AGO ID DEF RECOMMEND, BUT NOW IT SEEMS THAT PEOPLE ONLY GO THERE TO SHOOT INSTEAD OF FINDING THERE PURCHASES THERE. TOO ADD ON TO THE NEGATIVES, NEVER SHOULD A RANGE OFFICER JUST WALK AROUND AND PICK PEOPLES GUNS UP WITH OUT THERE PERMISSION UNLESS GIVING ADVICE. HAD A RO PICK MY GUN UP WHILE I WALKED AWAY TO LOOK AT IT FOR HIS PLEASURE. THE R.O.S ALSO LIKE TO STAND OVER YOUR SHOULDER WHILE YOU ARE SHOOTING WHICH IS AGGRAVATING TO SAY THE LEAST.

I do not recommend fox shooting loft for shooting. I purchased a box of PMC ammo a few months before returning, and was sold a box of 9mm that I didnt ask for. When I informed the range attendant that I bought the ammo there, they told me they didnt see me buy it and then refused to give me a refund for the 9mm that I didnt even ask for. They just did that to make more money.

I cannot say enough about this place. The staff is extremely friendly. If they dont have an item you need (want) they may be able to order it for you which is great and saves time. The facility is EXTREMELY clean and organized with competitive prices. The range has six stations is new and more than meets your expectations as a shooter. The range personnel promote a safe environment (something I felt other near by locations lacked). Something to note you can shoot any caliber up to a 308.-If your looking for a place to shoot look no further!

Staff didnt know their own rules. Stood in line to ask how to get a lane on their range. Stood in another line to pay only to find out I had to go upstairs. Fine. I went upstairs and waited for the young ladies to swap cashier drawers and count money. After 10 minutes of that they tell me the wait is going to be at least 35 minutes. All that is fine, but none of the employees communicated this stuff and didnt treat me like they particularly cared if I shot there or not. I expressed my displeasure with their lack of communication and that I would just go shoot somewhere else that cares about me as a customer. The guy that appeared to be in charge said fine, see if I care.In summary, I waited 20 minutes, got insulted, and didnt get to shoot.

Pros--John is great. Lots of knowledge and very passionate-Newer range with very good selection of guns and accessories-Prices are reasonable on their new firearmsCons--Multiple occasions range safeties have tried to socialize with me and even given unsolicited shooting advice. When I pay for range time, I dont want to spend time talking to some random guy.-One of the younger ladies that works the gun counter is pretty rude and has been every time Ive been in-The consignment guns are pretty overpricedMy biggest complaint is transfer fees. The FFL fee at this shop is a whopping 40 bucks. Every other shop in town is 5-15 dollars and Ive never paid more than 20. Even with such a steep fee, I couldnt even get them to respond to a request to send a copy of their license to another shop so I could get my gun. Youd think with a high fee, theyd at least be more responsive. All in all, its a nice shop with good owners, but there is some room for improvement.

I live close to this range so when they opened up the range I was very excited to have a range that was only minutes away. Facility is well stocked with new firearms for purchase and I have bought two from them. Each time I did I received an hour of free range time which was a nice bonus. The range is clean and the range masters are laid back and willing to help with anything from the new shooter get their feet wet to helping you with your shooting form or just asking how you like your weapon and putting in what they like. This being the real world it isnt all bright and positive. With limited there is only 6 shooting lanes and sometimes you may have to wait (Ive waited 2 hours before). And the parking lot isnt paved but is loose stone and some sort of powder or dirt that during rain or a thaw after snow gets very messy very quickly. Those two things aside everything else is positive. When purchasing a weapon they dont shove personal oppinions down your throat, they allow you to handle the weapon and help you make an informed decision. They will give the pros and cons of different handguns and rifles and etc if you ask and will help you with the paper work up to a certain point. If I could improve anything itd be to add more ranges but of course limited space and all. They also offer many different class types from beginning classes to advanced classes as well as CCW and The Well Armed Woman meetings. As long as I love in the area this place will always have a loyal customer.
