Great coffee! I had the fall flavor maple spice today! On the sweet side but their 20oz INCLUDES 4 shots π
.y sister in law and I recently discovered this coffee shop. And its been out favorite one since. Their chipotle wrap is highly recommend by us.
Weve been going here as our regular, favorite local coffee spot for a couple years. They are always a great group of ladies, this place is awesome for family and weekend hangout and the coffee is some of the best around, and atmosphere is very homie and cozyπβ€ππΈπ
Interesting and inspiring interior design. Absolutely great service and coffee. Staffs were very friendly and their breakfast burrito was different than any other burrito I have ever tasted. It was definitely fresh and tasty. The place nice outdoor seating arrangement but the interior sofas seating is interesting and makes you want to spend more time.
If youβre looking for a local coffee house in the Portland area this is a great stop. The coffee is great. If youβre not a fan of too much sugar make sure you ask for half of the syrup. The maple bacon scone is a must have. And as you can see from the picture the sausage egg and cheese is not your average sausage egg and cheese. Youβre definitely getting what you pay for!
Excellent cold brew! A great place to meet someone for coffee and a chat! There are a few tables outside as well.
Always delicious. Best Scones I have ever eaten, good breakfast sandwiches, the quiches are great. You really cant go wrong with anything here. Bonus, its a great atmosphere to spend time in.
(Edit: I had previously rated 4 stars due to the soup being unsatisfactory for the price. Though I dont know if it is because of my review or not, not long after they lowered the price of soup. This really shows that they care here about being fair, and made me give them another chance.) I had gone to their cart many times and love the lavender vanilla chai. The cafe has more offerings and a nice atmosphere. There seems to have a good system in place to keep the tables clean for dine-in though. This is a good option for the area.
We love this coffee shop. Great atmosphere and very friendly team. If you havent tried Stomping Grounds what are you doing with your life? Lol. Seriously though, stop by and be blessed.
Best breakfast sandwiches!!! Ive become a regular here because the food reminds me of homemade meals my grandma used to make, like their soups and quiche. Great food, great prices, cozy atmosphere.
Excellent coffee. Not ALWAYS consistent but always good.
Best coffee in Portland!! I love the drive thru and the cafe in Fairview. I have been patronizing this coffee place since the day they opened. Best scones and the bacon jalapeno quiche is amazing. Not to spicy but just a little kick. One piece is easily shared with a friend.
Love them soooooo much. The staff makes a point to be friendly- they know the names of their regulars and generally have a small but quality menu and 2 flavors of whip cream if youre into that kind of thing. π Other than that it is a sweet little coffee place with the standard free wifi and eclectic but comfortable decor. Ask for a punch card because youll be back.
Our favorite cafe by far! Great selection of sugar free coffee flavors and great food. The sandwiches and quiche are very good. My son loves the kidsβ smoothie.
Absolute favorite coffee shop in the Fairview area! Amazing & friendly baristas & delicious, excellent coffee! A fun atmosphere for dining in or taking a cup of coffee to go! If I could afford it Id be there every day! ;)
Ive never had a bad experience here. All their drinks are really well made and the staff is friendly. Its a cozy place to get together with friends or spend an afternoon in a book
Awesome locally owned coffee shop. Love the jalapeno quiche. Its to die for! And the smoothies and coffee is fantastic!
Stomping Grounds is one of my favorite coffee shops. I also love their quiches
By far best small coffee shop in town! Fav drink is French toast chai, YUM!!! Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere!
Yummy lattes, coffee cake and scones. Mmmmmm!
Fantastic coffee, food and service. Their coffee cake is well known but I really enjoy the SG breakfast sandwich; get some napkins, yum! For coffee I usually drink it black or a cappuccino but if the mood strikes me for a little more the Spanish mocha latte with hemp milk is great. Large space for meetings, students or just chilling. There is some outdoor space weather permitted.
You baristas girls look beautiful and cute and gorgeous and pretty and awesome and cool and best pastries ever number one and you girls have gorgeous hair baristas girls and you baristas girls have the best drinks ever you baristas girls make the best pastries and awesome coffee other drinks ever I like you all the baristas girls team from stomping grounds coffee shop and best friendy workers baristas ever and I miss you as new best friends forever from stomping grounds coffee shop number one place everππππππππβπ
Loved drinks so much we got a bag of coffee to go without trying the house blend. Friendly baristas
Cozy place, for sure. Staff is very welcoming and friendly, and seem to truly like people. Highly recommend.
Its weird theyve been around for a while got good food
Cute coffee shop serving Portlands coffee! So good! I had a triple hot latte and a bacon cheddar jalapeno quiche. Latte was delicious! Quiche was fluffy, filling, flavorful, and not too spicy! Great spot! hip with light food options, good ambiance, unique decor that made it feel like home. My husband had the salted caramel latte and a Mexican breakfast wrap, he said it was delicious and the wrap was filling!
Food is great, especially the Marionberry rolls, coffee is good, unfortunately the service is quite slow.
The Stomping Ground is a great place to be. The service is fantastic. The coffee, food and atmosphere are amazing!
Quiche was OK, was microwaved to rehear made the crust chewy.
Great SG sandwich and latte.
Excellent cup of Americano. Anyone can make a decent mixed coffee drink, but pulling a proper shot of espresso is the mark of a skilled barista. Keep it up Stone grounds πππ
Great atmosphere with good seating and fun staff!
Excellent coffee, friendly accommodating and knowledgable staff. Comfortable seating inside and outdoor seating too. They let me stay and job hunt all day on my laptop, the coffee cake is amazing and theyll even heat it up for you. Their tea selection is awesome and their wraps are generously portioned as well as being wholesome and tasty
Great coffee! Marionberry Cinnamon roll is delicious! Comfortable atmosphere!
Fantastic coffee and service. Very nice place to dine.
Small coffee shop with friendly service. They have free wifi and simple breakfast foods (bagels, pastries, sandwiches, quiches). Their drink selection has a few that rotate and I always find something good to drink. Their French toast chai legit tasted like cinnamon toast crunch! They had punch cards and just opened a hut off Division in Gresham.
Very polite. Good coffee. Doing the best they can during COVID-19
Its cool the staff are wearing masks, and they are friendly! Finally! Lately, it seems like half of the baristas at other cafes have been irritable, almost rude, & poorly communicating. Nice to see friendly again. Clean inside: all the tables have a card on them to show they are clean, then you flip the card over when you leave so no one else uses the table until it is cleaned again. Good signature lattes. They add just the right amount of syrup for my taste; there is a good balance between the espresso and the flavoring. Their flavored whipped creams (vanilla or coconut) are enjoyable and uncommon compared to most cafes. The scones taste like shortbread. The cookies are soft, airy, and tasty. I hadnt been here in a while, and Im glad I went back!
Favorite place to get our mochas! Great coffee and amazing service!
Great coffee with friendly service and good atmosphere.
Hands down the best chai tea latte Ive ever had. Tip: ask for both vanilla and spiced.
I tried to ask a worker if I could use the bathroom before I order, but every time I asked, she interrupted me saying that if I cant wear a mask then can I have my mom order for me because my mom was wearing a mask. I kept trying to explain, no Im going to order for myself I cannot wear a mask. And she continued interrupting me saying the same thing over and over, I think she said its their companys policy. Finally I loudly said, no! She cannot order for me, i will order for myself because Im a grown woman!I also told them what my condition was because I wasnt thinking clearly enough in the moment, I shouldnt have been put on the spot like that. I wasnt expecting that at all even when people do try to make me wear a mask, they dont say something crazy like can she order for you since shes wearing a mask. That is literally nonsense! I just wanted a coffee. I have never been there prior to this. I didnt even know what I would order so how would this even make sense? I would ask all my coffee questions to my mom first then my mom would ask them? Then they would answer my mom and my mom would answer me like a game of telephone? What if I came here without my mom like I usually do when I go places? We just went on a weekend trip and no one bothered me about masks at the stores, 2 hotels, and restaurants and safari that we went to. No one even questioned me, they were all nice and welcoming. Im highly thankful for no incidents on our trip. But people really need to understand how to deal with customers. I didnt see a single person wearing a mask besides the workers and my mom! So why did she insist I couldnt order for myself like I do EVERYWHERE I GO?!Im honestly shocked that people come here if this is how theyre treated without a mask, i wont be back. But i did actually pay for some coffee afterward only because I really wanted some coffee. Otherwise I would have just left after using the bathroom because I dont believe customers should be alienated for any reason especially because of a real medical condition that I have and I told her that I dont know how many times. The other worker was nice and answered my coffee questions professionally. When I go out places, I just hope to shop or do whatever Im doing without incident. I dont like having to defend my reasoning for not wearing a mask. If I have a medical condition, and i make that known to them, that should have been the end of it.
Not only are their drinks super delicious, theyre spot on and consistent every time. Such fantastic service too. Love this place. Its not every day a locally owned shop is going to get it this right, but these guys get it right every single time. And their drinks are super creamy and delicious and not something you get from the big-box mass produced shops. Do yourself a favor, go out of your way and off the beaten path and give this place a try. From the snacks and pastries to the lunch items to the amazing coffee, you will not regret visiting this shop and supporting a local business!!
Great atmosphere, non Covid times I would have loved to sit around on the comfy couch. Best scone ever, but the chocolate spiced chai tea tasted weird, like an apple cider taste. Maybe the chai was bad. Couldnt finish it.
The best breakfast sandwiches I have ever enjoyed from any restaurant or coffee shop I have ever visited. Amazingly affordable, too. Very conveniently located and accessible on NE Halsey in Fairview, just a couple of minutes off I-84 Exits 16 and 17.
This is literally one of the best coffee houses in the greater Portland area. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is even better. I have yet to find something on the menu I didnβt like. The food is amazing too. I would recommended them to anyone!
The only coffee place I like to go to around town. Ive had a drink mishap once where I didnt care for the mocha - they re-made it right away and said it was no problem. You will not get service like this anywhere else. 11/10 would recommend. I also love to study here and sit down and talk to my friends at this location.
Stomping Grounds is such a cute and calming environment, with kind staff and super delicious drinks and baked goods. Id recommend the lavender vanilla chai (hot) and a fresh scone!
Always yummy drinks and everyone is super friendly.
Great Cafe! Food was excellent and the staff was friendly and nice. I had a chicken curry salad sandwich and it was delicious.... messy..... but delicious.
Great coffee shop, peacefully, relaxing seating, mixed ethnic and age groups.
Everything one looks for in a neighborhood coffee shop. Great breakfast sandwiches and pastries, and good parking !
We stopped by on our way to move across the country. This place was super neat and mildly tucked away. The coffee was absolutely delicious but it was the warmed coffee cakes that really did it for us. When we are back in town, Ill definitely make my way back.
Always a pleasure. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee!
This shop has amazing coffee!! They also have delicious bagels, scones, sweet rolls, and muffins!
My favorite spot for coffee, tea and smiling friendly service. Plus, its a local business!
One of my favorite coffee shops. I highly recommend their scones and quiche!
This is a place I used to frequent when I lived closer. I stopped by about 11am on my way to Gresham and it was very crowded. SG has your usual espresso drink menu as well as soup and sandwiches. Each day they have a drink and food special which I did not try but I did try a drink that I have not found offered else where. It was a Carmel apple cider. It was yummy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.
Fantastic coffee shop. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Stopped here for an hour to kill time. The space is large and noisy. Great for conversation with a friend, not so good for reading/laptop work. The customer service was really great and the staff were really friendly. My latte was fine, and the food I had (turkey wrap) was okay but nothing memorable. I would come again but would probably order something else.
This is a great coffee shop. The staff was super friendly, and seemed to enjoy what they do. The only thing that would have made this place perfect for me, would have been more couches. They only had the 1 and a few old chairs. My kind of coffee house is one that has more comfy chairs, than tables and this place was just the opposite. But, thats just my personal preference.
Great coffee and light-fare food. Gluten-free options. Very cozy, great staff. Great place to remote work but often crowded. A bit on the spendy side but its warranted.
Great coffee and sandwiches
Great Coffee Shop in Fairview
This is absolutely my favorite coffee shop in the Portland area. Very friendly staff, great food and drinks, etc. I recommend it highly!
Staff is always great.
Great breakfast sandwiches.
Thank you for the delicious lunch :)
Warm, welcoming, friendly staff! Delicious foods and coffee! My favorite!
One of the best coffee shops around. They have a super nice layout and tons of good food choices. They are always busy though so expect a bit of a line.
Delicious coffee and amazing service, every time
Love the atmosphere and great service. Felt so comfortable even with my little one. Thank you for having a box of toys!
I live in inner SE Portland and just about all the cafes are super hippy which I cant stand. I love the atmosphere just as much as the coffee here! If only I lived on this side of town.
I got a sugar free breve and it was legit. Havent tried their food. Service is great and as others have said the baristas are kind and friendly here. Definitely recommend.
This little shop is a great place to hang out. The food is good and the coffee is great. The staff is really friendly. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that it is sloooow. Getting your latte order is going to be a wait of at least 5 minutes. Ive waited up to 15 before. And, this is not just when they are busy. This is any time of the day. If you order food, it will be ready faster than your coffee.
Cull place to go and check out
First off, the people here are amazing! Second, the coffee here is literally the best Ive ever had. (And I have tried a ton of different places) Im normally one to get espresso shots to perk up; so often, I dont drink my coffee for taste. Its specifically to get the job done. At Stomping Grounds you get the best of both worlds! Amazing flavor (white chocolate is my favorite) AND strong coffee! The only issue I have, is that I dont live close enough to go every day!
Excellant. Stopped in on a perfect Oregon mid 50s drizzly cold day. Felt wonderful to have a americano. Yummy their home made muffins are delicious.
Great place to talk
Absolutely amazing. Ive been to a handful of Portlands best coffee shops, and this one is definitely my favorite. Oh, and try their in-house hot chocolate. Im that guy who drinks hot chocolate, 365 days a year...and theirs never fails to impress. Great environment, great beverages, great shop. God bless.
I love the coffee
My favorite coffee shop in the area!
Very friendly service... salted caramel latte is awesome!
Stopped here for breakfast and my wife and I both ordered the ham, cheese and egg sandwiches - delicious! Topped off with an extra large latte and we were ready for the next day of our road trip. Would definitely visit again
By far, one of the best coffee houses Ive ever been too! Tied for first in my book! Always clean, inviting, and delicious!
Cute place. Great coffee. Google said this has drive-thru -- it DOES NOT.
First, the positive: the place was nice and spacious. The carpentry was kinda rustic which I like. They had more than just coffeeβsandwiches and soups. The Spanish mocha was excellent. What I didnβt like: they took way too long for two drinks. Waited probably 20-25 minutes and didnβt get a βsorry for the wait.β They also made the Americano way too watery.Skip it and go to Black Rock.
