Awesome little Portuguese supermarket. The seafood and meat sections were great. Also has a really great bakery and wine selection.
Fantastic 😂. My wife 💗 is from Fall River and loves going there. All of the items in the store are great. Sometimes we make it a family trip.
Awesome place. Second time Ive been there. Customer service is great. Wish I got the name of the older gentleman, was talking about the product I got and which bread would be good with it. Nice guy. Great place, and delicious food.
You want authenticity? Well this is the place!
A very attractive, clean and modern European looking market with an excellent cafe, home made pastries, very good, authentic dishes from Portugal, the Azores and Cape Verde including an excellent selection of salted fish including cod and others and a great collection of Portuguese wines and elegant crafts. Featured recently in a PBS series on Portuguese speakers and cuisine in Massachusetts.
Very fine Portuguese products, from food to Liqours, wines & accessories with a cafe for a lunch also.also home cooked meals to go too
Nice store with excellent products and good people. Its a fun experience, not just another shop.
Vibe feels a like your in Portugal...It a bit pricey nothing out of the ordinary to choose from..other Portuguese shops in Fall River that are just as good...if your Portuguese treat better..
Loved this store. The Atmosphere was great.
Lots of good specialty meats and snacks. Great wine selection.
Any portuguese specialty food or wine item you are looking for can be found here including octopus, bacalhau, etc. Very clean, well organized store.
As always Mr. Fernando and family giving out to us a taste of Europe. Great job 👍
Great selection of delicious food at great prices.
Good selection of imports and probably the best selection of bacalhau in the area
My wife is Portuguese and we were running low on Olive oil. We used to have her family send it or bring down on visits. It can be a hassle, so we decided to place an online order. We ordered 40 Qts., this gave us a large enough discount to cover the shipping cost. We were very impressed with the service. We received an order# immediately it arrived so quickly. They sent an e-mail daily and on the third day an email stating it had been delivered! It was packed perfectly and well protected. We will be purchasing more from this “Great Store” in the future. They are exceptional!
Nice marketplace, they out to call it Azoria though, because they basically only have Açorean cheese. And minus one star for having every kind of cured meat prosciutto, jamon serrano, etc except Portuguese presunto. At least I couldnt find it... but there an amazing bacalao cave, and great selection of vinhos de Portugal at reasonable prices. As well as the usual selection of outstanding tinned goods and over sweet breads and pastries. 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
They demanded my friend and his wife (both of Asian descent) leave their bags at the service desk, after they complied still followed them throughout the store, and then a manager proceeded to shout at them and get in their faces after paying for their items. I’ve only been in this store once in the past: I had a bag too but wasn’t asked to leave it and I certainly followed. I wonder why?
Anything Portuguese food, theyll have it in this store. I am not from Portugal, but I happen to love sardines and they have a beautiful choice. Also, Portuguese wine and cheese. The largest choice I have ever seen in the US.
Awesome..big selection of salted cod!
Excellent diversity of Portuguese wines, Portuguese olive oil, and other Portuguese products.
Wonderful market with so many Portuguese products, delicious prepared food, and awesome selection of wines, beers, and liquor. Brings you a bit of Portugal in America.
Very expensive and mostly everything is written in Portuguese. Not a lot to choose from.
I love this place! I live in Boston but occasionally make it down to Fall River to go to this store. The wine and port section is awesome and their wine/liquor people are always so knowledgeable. They have so much great stuff from the mainland and the islands.I just wish it were closer to where I live!
People there very nice David Lawson fall river mass
Love this place I could live there :)
Good place to buy hard to find Portuguese goods. My partner and her kids are from Portugal, and we have no Portuguese stores in our area (Evanston, IL). We decided to stop in here during a recent road trip to stock up. There is also a decent café - their pastes de nata are good, almost authentic - and a high end Portuguese goods store in here. If youre looking for some hard to find items, this is a good place to visit.
Anything under an Iberian Peninsula is here. Fantastic for in-store cafe, hot food, coffee, and anything else under a Portuguese sun.
Great selection of foods and wines
Best gomes de sa EVER and the octopus forget about it, It will restore your faith that there is a God!! Excellent all the way around!!
Great selection of authentic Portuguese fare, helpful staff and a great liquor selection
Love their crusty rolls with wine, your favorite cheeses and olives!!
Great Portuguese Market, being Portuguese myself and living in America for 21 years, I miss my Portuguese food and deserts so when Im feeling blue and missing Portugal this is usually my 1st stop when Im feeling like that, they have EVERYTHING under the sun that you could possibly need to have a little taste and piece of Portugal.I will continue to come here as long as they are open.
I am Portuguese living in NY, wife decided to surprise me with some of my favorites from home for my birthday. It got to us overnight, and prices are good considering import costs. Thank you guys for doing what you do
Unbelievable how great this place is. Cant wait to go back.
I love Portugalia. Huge selection of wine and groceries. I especially enjoy the cook food options. Fantastic value for perfectly stewed octopus!
Just an absolutely fantastic marketplaceClean as a whistle, very new looking and tons of authentic Portuguese food and products. I stumbled upon this place on accident and I ended up going three times in less than a week lolIncredible imported olive oils (bought two different ones on a workers recommendation, both amazing), huge variety of tins of sardines in oil and other canned fish (Ive tried four different ones so far and theyre all delicious, SO much better than the stuff we have at regular supermarkets)Their deli counter with chourico sausages and cured hams is the stuff of charcuterie board dreams. I wanted to climb inside it and live there. I would only need some accompanying cheese to be happy. The Serrano ham is so indescribably good if you go there and dont get any you shouldnt be allowed to go back ever again. The variety of imported cheeses is excellent and they will give you samples to help you chose.Barrels of olives and other snack goodiesAll the breadsTheres an entire room just for salted fish!Whole octopuses (octopi?) if you want. I will be getting one to attempt an dishAnd also a huge variety of imported wines and liquors, 95% of which Ive never seen before and I love my spirits. I got a bottle of Port that was one of the best wines Ive ever tasted, no lie.Along with a really good craft beer selection I was blown away by the prices, variety, quality, and uniqueness of all the products.Easy to get to and convenient parking.Im a fan for life
Second time ordering from Portugalia Marketplace. Great products, nicely packaged and delivered. The chouriça is so delicious just like you buy in Portugal. Also ordered the cod, olive oil and some other staples all great. Will continue to order from here other than the small Portuguese store near me as the quality from Portugulia Marketplace is far better!!
Beautiful clean..but the price are not that good..kind expensive and I didnt expect that
Love this store, little bit of the Azores.
I stop in once a week for the octopus. Very clean and well stocked. We need more businesses like this in Fall River.
Best portuguese market for imported goods... lots of great stuff.
Disappointed once again they had no Portuguese baked beans.
All of Portugal in one marketplace. Fantastic wine selection. A refrigerated salted cod room easily 10 meters long.
...I wish I knew the name of the guy that always helping me out when buying fishes... He looks Portuguese and he in is late fifties. Very professional, friendly approach and excellent Customer Service.Dan.
I loved the selection of unique, high quality Portuguese cuisine and there wine selection to match!
Great selection of Portuguese food. Always love browsing here.
Love that you can find a lot of Portuguese products, and you can sit down and have a coffee, desert!
Good selection of Portuguese products and prepared Portuguese dishes.
I SO enjoy stopping in here. They have the best olives! Also love getting an espresso shot and browsing the wine and cheese selections.
Its different from chain store market places. It allows you to feel youre in a totally different culture. As the name suggests, the market carries many products imported from Portugal. In addition to food items, there were hand crafted tapestries and an assortment of wines. It also has a portion that is a cafe where you can purchase a sandwich, drink, and bakery item. Should be mentioned, too, that there is ample, free parking.
This is an amazing and unique store. Every sort of Portuguese food imaginable, fresh bread and fruit, and an unbelievable selection of Portuguese wines. The young man in the wine dept. was especially knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. Great atmosphere!
Great selection, reasonable prices, very clean, organized and helpful staff. Best Portuguese market in New England by far. I would recommend anyone who is interested in foods and flavors of Portugal to visit. Great sit down cafe as well if you travel from afar and need a snack.
Absolutely love this place.
Time stopped here later in the night, almost closing time, and this place was incredible. The variety is good and the staff members are so friendly. We stopped at the cafe before a long trip and the food was excellent. There was a great variety. The girl behind the counter on that night was so friendly and patient.
So many things from the mother land, the products are the best and they have the most amazing salt fish in this area
We revisited store after 6 mo and we were able to buy most of the items we had in mind going- wonderful inexpensive herbs, particularly Herbs de Provance,Portuguese olive oil-still very reasonable and organic teas. Was absent dry fruits.overall it is by far my favorite store.
Great place. Well organized, very helpful staff.
They stock genuine Portuguese products that are simultaneously available for sale in Portugal. The real deal. Felt like I was in a supermarket in Portugal. Sao Miguel cheese and Rosmaminho olive oil are my favorite. I use the Rosmaminho for dipping bread or to drizzle over cheeses or as a hair treament (yes!) I like the saloio olive oil for making pasta sauces and as a general cooking oil. Their store is full of quality products. Their salespeople are great sources of information if you need a substitute or recommendation. It is pricey but just about the same as other stockists in the US. They ship everything and it arrives carefully packaged. Definitely recommend this store for all your Portuguese products.
Good food, prices are a little high
We have been there several times, but this time, yesterday, the gentleman int he cod fish area was unpleasant and short with us. The lady at the register wasnt much better. Was it because the very pleasant owner wasnt there ?
Very nice people work there
LOVE THAT PLACE, we always try different foods n wine n split sandwiches.. Always good
Normally, I would give 5 stars, but I was horrified when I witnessed one of their staff members NOT wash her hands with soap after she was done using the restroom. Since we walked out at the same time, I was able to see where she went. She was working on the hot food line. Mask was under her nose and her hands were unwashed. Totally unacceptable in these current times.
Great place with a large selection of Portuguese items at reasonable prices.
Best place to get Portuguese and imported products. Very classy store and great for fresh seafood and anything from the Azores and Continent. Location is in a modern building and they have a cafe inside the new location. Used to be on Bedford St. Moved across the Boston Market.
Great selection and friendly staff. Went above and beyond for me. Only complaint was no soap in the bathroom. Would recommend highly.
My current ‘ must stop at’ on my drives between NYC and Provincetown, I’m a chef and this place is a dream. The hot prepared food is divine. The selection of preserved canned fish is second to none as well as the selection of portuguese olive oils. Cookware, soaps, wine and beverages - they have it all. You won’t be disappointed!!
Great Authentic Portugese market. People and food is great. Fernando his wife and son Mike are great people. Great customer service
Great selection, service and staff!
Visited noon Sunday, parking lot was full, had to wait for parking. Fresh fruit/vegatables limited. Portugalia Market is upscale local version of Whole Food with all items from Portugal. Most everything in cans. Good selection of wines, olive oils, frozen fish in glass refrigerator push your carriage through, people inside for assistance. Also have sit down cafe serve food items beverages. Went here because my fish market was closed.
Delightful, clean,friendly
I needed to find a place to spend a bit of time waiting for an appointment. Not being familiar with Fall River, I decided to try this market. Its very nice! The coffee & dessert bar is excellent with a pleasant seating area. There is a fresh meat section that, for the carnivore, is a must-see. The staff is friendly and efficient. The building itself looks like a beautifully restored warehouse with exposed brick throughout. Easily accessible from 195 its worth a trip from Providence RI or other areas. Does not disappoint!
Shopping here is an aesthetically enriching experience. Its setup has been done with care. The products themselves can all be trusted, too; its clear that the owners used discernment in choosing each product. You can be sure that whatever you buy will be good. The cafe is also fun--great coffee and deserts--some gluten-free. Its obvious that Portugalia is run very well, and actively incorporates customer input. Great place!
Great selection of wine.
Excellent place and friendly sfaff
Ya special things
Amazing selection of portuguese and other gourmet products, ceramics and more
Great Portuguese market
Great Market store! They should consider opening more stores.
I wish I lived closer to this wonderful market. We schlep from Boston once in a while and it reminds me of my childhood...all the good smells...followed by a trip to Sagres Restaurant, of course!
Beautiful Portuguese Market. But was just there recently, instead of replacing the bank with some dumb store with pocketbooks and blankets, they should of replaced it with a Fresh Butcher w/fresh meats, and or a aFresh Seafood Mkt!!! I think that would of been a better move!!@!!!!
Great market, always find items I need!
Im not even Portuguese and I come here at least once a month to pick up wine, cheese and candy. Theres just nothing quite like having a hunk of cheese and a good bottle of Madeira on a nice day, and you can find the best ones here. The cafe is a nice place to grab lunch, too. Dont worry if you dont speak Portuguese, everyone I have met here is bilingual or close enough that its not an issue.
Great selection of products extremely helpful sales staff
Outstanding selection of traditional Portuguese foods. Breads and fish are fresh and delicious. Best jumbo shrimp.Immaculate, great place to stop for a coffee, latte and piece of decadent home made cake.
Always feel like Im home here and the store is well organized. Staff is kind and always working. Definetly glad to have a spot like this in the city nd the food is good for on the go but there seafood and meats are good and authentically seasoned. 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
Great Portuguese Market!!
Cutest place ever. Im from Germany and it reminds me of home. I love the atmosphere, and the cafe has so many delicious offerings, I always end up leaving with a few bags full of treats! The prices arent too bad, I havent tried anything from the deli or the wines yet, I dont make it past the cafe much!
Great Portuguese selections and prices!
Love this place. Everything for your Portuguese food needs. Good options for lunches at the deli as well.
