The bubble waffle is really good but it takes some time so be patient. The bingsu is awesome. The guava cake is amazing. I have yet to try the other menu items but I doubt Ill be disappointed. The prices are a little high but its definitely worth it.

This new place called Melody Boba House in Puyallup where the old Baskin & Robins was at. In my opinion is not so great. We got 4 drinks 1 with boba, 1 with lychee, and 2 without boba. 3 drinks were to strong (sweet) and the other didn’t have any tastes. The employees there about 4 of them seemed like they were running all around. The cashier wearing a black So Scare T-shirt on the other hand was very helpful.today’s date 7/09/21

Got the original milk tea with boba and it was great! Greatful they make it with non dairy creamer too. The original milk tea is a brown sugar flavor and the boba was fresh and soft. My husband got the Pink Snuggles which is blended strawberry lychee drink and it was also delicious. The staff is so nice too! Glad to find a good local place. Had to get my friend the same thing so she could share the goodness!

I understand that a boba place needs to make ends meet in order to maintain business, but I dont believe that Melody Boba House even follows basic sanitary rules and regulations set down by the Washington Department of Health.Ive seen nearly every health rule broken and every possible hazard present in Melody Boba House, ranging from:- Food products being stored in the restrooms in close proximity of toilets- Mold on the walls- Reuse of disposable gloves when handling several days worth of food- Mold in the water containers where boba scoopers are stored- Mildew growing on tumblers- Recycling of leftover food products- Lack of enforcement for employees to wash their hands, and more.Melody Boba House already has admittedly questionable food quality, however, their customer service definitely does not meet the standards that I would expect for a 4.2 star rated boba house. I have seen a multitude of other reviews complaining about the customer service quality as well, all of which I can agree with.The poor customer service, I believe, is largely due to the fact that the workers are traumatizingly understaffed, and outrageously overworked. It also seems that the owner, Melody, seems to quite literally BULLY her already understaffed and overworked employees, ranging from a flurry of verbal insults to working them to exhaustion.Additionally, drinks are NEVER remade in any circumstance, whether the order was taken wrong, or there was an issue presented in the quality of the food.Above all, it seems like the source of the variety of issues in every category of customer service is actually the poor management by the abhorrently unprepared embarrassment of an owner. The owner, Melody, seems to cut huge corners in all of the small sections of the store she manages, including the treatment of the workers, the quality of the food/drinks, and sanitary condition of the overall place.As a fun little bonus, heres a cool little photo of some food products stored next to toilets and cleaning supplies!

After reading all the previous reviews about the management at Melody Boba House I can say that is all very true. The employees at this location did not receive any tips despite having a tip option on the pos system for card, and a tip jar. They also never received rest breaks or meal breaks, and would get to eat or go on their phones if the store wasnt busy, but even then they never ate uninterrupted. This is against WA state laws but the owner never seemed to care. Besides the horrible working conditions there were numerous health code violations. The owner would store syrup used in drinks under counters that were unclean, had mold and rust. The sink for rinsing off dirty mops was right next to open bags of sugar used in the bubble waffles. Despite the lack of cleanliness the owner would not schedule employees to go in an hour early or stay an hour later to keep on top of cleaning even during covid, this caused employees to have to clean while customers were in shop leaving them limited only to light cleaning. It just seems like the owner doesnt care about her employees as they would have to rush to open right when the store opens at 12pm and rush to close as well (the owner would reprimand the employees if they stayed 30 mins past closing). All this also makes it seem like the owner just doesnt care about the health of her customers either as the store was constantly filthy. On top of all this the owner has employed her boyfriend of 30 years old to work at her Federal Way location, her boyfriend who is almost 2x the age of many of the employees here has made many previous female employees uncomfortable. He was caught staring at underage girls in inappropriate places and asked inappropriate questions to the female employees as well. While working there the employees felt like they couldnt bring up any issues they wanted to resolve as the owner took it personally and would victimize herself.

Love it! My favorite is the pineapple whip ice cream with extra strawberry drizzle!! The macorons are delicious too!!

Been going there now for a little bit over a month my girls really enjoy the drinks there. They have a lot of variety of drinks And other things to choose from too. The service is always fast the drinks are good too would definitely recommend to go there and check this place out.

After some mediocre Korean BBQ we were looking for dessert. It was our 1st time here. We ordered 3 bobas, milk pudding, strawberry milk & avocado. We also got 6 different flavs of macaroons, a slice of rainbow cake and a plain bubble waffle.All the drinks were fresh & tasty.The macaroons; vietnamese coffee, strawberry & ube.... top 3! The rainbow cake, it was sooo good it made me feel like I was in Hawaii, & Ive never even been there, hahaha! The bubble waffle, yuuuuum, almost like taiyaki, minus the doughy mochi-ness. Really friendly customer service & I loooved that they had bouquets of peonies from a local farm for sale.*We got there around 830 and it was us and maybe 2 other tables full, by the time we left at 10 there was a line and all the tables were full.

I enjoyed my strawberry and cream signature drink, it definitely hit the spot. My gf ordered the strawberry milk tea with pudding and it did lack the pudding and the tea flavor but she still enjoyed it. Cool vibe inside too and friendly staff.

Took my mom here for an early birthday dessert outting. Something we grew up with (shaved ice and bubble waffles, with a twist (added ice cream and other toppings).We had the #strawberryshavedice with added cheesecake bites YUM! Shaved ice is slightly different than what I remember as a kid visiting my grandparents in the asian part of Los Angeles. Melody Boba Houses ice is dairy based versus the shaved ice from a block of ice. It was good. :) By the time I drove my parents home in this unexpected Western WA Snow, they had finished theirs and wanted to help me with mine (which i ate after they left my car). We all def approved!Definitely plan to go back to try the mango shaved ice and bubble waffle (grew up getting these on a food cart in NY Chinatown).Extra points for selling MACADONS MACARONS!!! Those are one of the best macarons Ive ever had and its nice to have a selection closer to home ..versus going to west Seattle

Randomly Found this place and ordered the Tario Taro + Oreo (with coconut jelly) it was sooooo good, we ended up going back the next weekend for the same drink.We also got the Macadamian Nut cake and it was one of the best cakes we have eaten. If it was available, we would have also grabbed a piece, but it was sold out.

Friendly staffs and chill atmosphere. Finally got to try all the shaved ice flavors and let me tell you this, girllllll you gotta try it to believe it. Perfect amount of sweetness, fruits, shaved ice, and toppings. Perfect for two to share. I think the lady in the front is the owner, she was making sure all the orders were going out on point, this is definitely my new chill spot :)

I really like this place! They often have flowers and pastries for sale!I also appreciate they enforced their mask protocol. It makes me feel safer to come in.

This place is unhygienic and has the worst customer service! I got attitude after I called out this one worker for serving a soft serve that a fly had landed on. I guess they thought they were slick. I get it’s summer but y’all should really try to control the amount of bugs and flys that get into your shop!

Boba pudding milk tea was too sweet. I could barely taste the tea. The service was slow as well.

This place is normally the best bubble tea shop in WA, but over the past few months they have been consistently out of boba, and the drinks don’t taste the same as they did a couple months ago.

I highly recommend if you are looking for a place with a variety of sweet and tasty drinks. The atmosphere of the place is very relaxed and always smells so yummy. You may want to look at an online menu prior to coming in since there are so many options! My personal favorite is the mango peach green tea - you can even adjust the sweetness which is pretty unique!

I would recommend Melody Boba House to anyone I know living in the Seattle Tacoma Area. Friendly staff, superb drinks. If you dont know where to start, I would just get an original milk tea as that is a standard in alot of milk tea shops. I just love, love, love this place. Great atmosphere, great place to take your family or a group of friends. Always a 5/5 rating here.

Went to try this for the first time. I understand it’s a popular and busy place, but at least give the customer you’re attending to full attention. Waited 5 mins at the register because the cashier had to write down online order (again, completely fine). Once the order was placed, the cashier was on the phone again. I asked a couple times if I could have my cake so I can move aside and let the next person order, but she was busy on the phone that she didn’t notice us, even though we weren’t done with the transaction. So I had to just reach over the counter and grab the cake so I could move out of the way for other people. Then waited 30 mins to get our drinks. The person making our drinks forgot to put boba in mine (yes I paid for it and double checked with cashier). Maybe this place is overhyped.

I ordered two chai tea and the staff didnt specify they are served chilled. I was expecting a hot drink, still paid for them, but wasnt too pleased. While I was there another customer didnt get what she thought she was ordering. I guess they just need to specify a little more.

This place is amazing. Good customer service. I ordered strawberry mango yogurt smoothie and my bf ordered bubble waffle ice cream. It was a great experience. They are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone I know. Couldn’t be happier. We will be back!

I always loved coming here, the boba was great people were always really sweet. But what moved me away was that they don’t receive the tips. It all goes to the store owner. It’s a bit upsetting bc it’s like, they are working hard and having to deal with customers interactions, rushes, etc just to find out your tips (even tho there’s a tip jar) doesn’t go to them. As a person who works in customer service & especially at times like this. It’s just Kinda like what are you doing?

Owner is very cheap, will not remake a drink if spilled at counter. Will not remake or give you a refund if THEY make you a wrong order. Tables and chairs are very dirty. Was told to ask manager about remaking a spilled drink but the manager never came back out. Do not recommend this place. Very loud atmosphere.

Not from the Federal Way area so wanted to try some boba from here when I went yesterday. The girls were nice and the teas tasted good but there was a very short piece of hair in my honeydew boba. No clue how that happened, but it deterred me from wanting to finish the drink.

I was asked to leave because I was wearing the wrong mask. She told me because I was wearing a gaitor mask that I needed to be in a surgical mask. Ive never been so offended and I highly recommend that absolutely no one go to this place how terribly rude. She should seriously be ashamed of herself.

The Coco Cream is absolutely delicious. I am a big fan of Taro and Coconut, so this combination was dreamy. The staff were kind and quick! I will be returning. Follow them on Instagram!

The people that work here do a fantastic job! You can really tell that their ingredients are fresh and everything is delicious. The employees are very efficient workers.

Came in for some boba after dinner, only 2 employees were working and it was extremely busy. Felt horrible for the workers they seemed extremely stressed and understaffed. Great service but I dont feel like supporting a business like this.

This place is ideal, I really love all the options they have and their macaroons are really unique to me ! I came in last minute before they closed & they still made my drink. I appreciate everyone who works there who often look stressed but always manage to do the best they can for the customers (: *i go here a lot so this is like an overview of like the whole year I’ve gone there hehe*

Boba options were wonderful. Tea has adjustable sweetness levels which is great for customers with varying tastes and fun optional extras! Nice to also have options such as bubble waffles and shaved ice.

This place gets one star because my first experience was good. Not great customer service, but the drinks were great. But this time I went I absolutely will NOT be coming back. Not only did they CHARGE me for something I did not ask for but refused to re-make the drink. My significant other does NOT like boba at all, in addition, it sweetens the drink so much that its sickly sweet. I explained to the staff that it was their mistake to which they explained that once an order goes through it cant be re-made. Are you kidding me??? You take my money (including the extra for the boba I didnt even want) and gave me something I did NOT ask for. RIDICULOUS!! Starbucks has better customer service and their a chain. They didnt even have the decency to refund me. 😡😡😡 Drove all the way out there from Tacoma, lost my business forever

Based on the other great reviews I really wanted to like this place but I won’t be back. Horrible customer service. I ordered a Maui sunset and even said it twice. They got my order wrong and gave me attitude when I asked them about it. Instead of re-making my drink they claim they made what appeared on my receipt. With plenty of other alternatives for boba tea within 3 blocks, refusing to own up to their mistake means I’ll take my business elsewhere.Do yourself a favor - avoid the attitude and the mediocre drinks.

I went to Melody Boba House yesterday for the first time. I tried the milk tea, because I didnt know what it was. I absolutely loved it. It came out icy cold, and the tea drink was divine! The individual who took my order was helpful, and everyone on staff was very friendly. I plan on systematically going through each one of their drinks and trying their desserts. Glad to have found a Boba house in FW that serves great tea drinks!

Highly recommend!!! Was in need of something different, and their Tareo did the job. (I would say you don’t need any toppings with it due to the sweetness, but if you like it you do you) will definitely be back!

Cute place to hang out with friends or family. The boba are tasty and they have boardgames you can check out. We sat here for a good couple of hours playing games. It does get loud. So it feels as if were shouting to talk.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because their red bean milk tea isnt... blended, I guess, would be the word?They put both whole red beans and boba into the tea by default... noooot the greatest texture experience, but it still tasted yummy! Maybe next time Ill ask them to like, blend the tea with the red beans before adding boba, thatd make it good. It just seems like an odd default I guess.Still love them though!

First time there today during the snowpocalypse and the only knock against the place is that their kitchen wasnt open to try their popcorn chicken. I got their pudding milk tea with 50% sugar and their pudding was really soft and fresh. The milk tea had a pleasant after taste of the black tea. I will be back to try their popcorn chicken but in the meanwhile looks like I found my favorite bubble tea place.

Not powder! Excellent, consistently chewy and flavorful boba! Scrumptious desserts! Late night hours in a cozy environment! What did we do to deserve this place? What did we do to deserve real brewed tea? Come here and order a drink, keep the sugar percentage low (as theyre heavy handed with the stuff here) and youll leave happy. I dont think any place in the Puget sound can best this place for what they do. My favorite is the pudding tea - roasty, nutty, sweet, and flavorful.

Great location, has a large selection of drinks and you can make it your own with adding boba, jelly, ice cream and sweetness. One recommendation to the local hang out playing games is to serve food or snacks while playing and drinking the variety of teas or smoothies. Games, cards, board games, they have to check out. Music playing is great too!
