I love coming to this Goodwill. The staff area always so friendly and I have found some great items at really great prices. Once in awhile there may be something I feel is a little high but that doesnt happen very often. Compared to other thrift stores, the prices are really, really good.

I shopped at the stores in both Holly and Fenton. Both were impressively clean, well-organized and easy to shop. Both stores had friendly, helpful employees ready to assist and answer questions. Very pleasant experiences at both stores.

I don’t know why I still donate to Goodwill being that it’s a for-profit store but I have attempted to make myself believe that I’m doing good by helping others have a job. I left work from Ann Arbor an hour early to try and get here exactly at 4 o’clock because that’s their ridiculous donation end hours now. The older man at the door was rude and would not except my items because it was 4 o’clock on the dot. He kept going on about how he doesn’t have any empty carts and it’s just too much of a bother to take in peoples things without a cart. Everything I had was in boxes and bags. Nothing I donate is dirty, broken, or old. Never again will I donate to them. The extra drive to Salvation Army is better than being treated like I’m a nuisance. Good luck selling empty shelves.

Prices ate to high. I see a lot of $ store merchandise priced for $2. I only go in to look for Certain thinks and buy nothing if I cant find what I am looking for. I dont donate to them anymore because its turned into a store the needy cant afford to shop at anymore. Wal-Mart has better clearance prices.

Found a few cool shirts really had to dig through stuff tho. Ill come by again sometime.

A little expensive for a second hand store, but Ill accept it for the good cause. They always have a great selection coming in and out and I cant wait to see it once theyre done with renovation!

Lot of new things and used very clean

Today my wife took over a carload of really nice items that we wanted to donate. She was turned away saying that she could only do it on Wednesday. Really folks how do you expect to stay in business when you turn people away and then we take elsewhere. These are donations that people are giving you for free so the businesses can remain open and employees can make money and people in need can purchase items at a discount. Then you have the nerve to send people away because it wasn’t one specific day out of week. When the store goes away and people are out of jobs this will be one of the reasons. Lazy.

It was alright. Wouldve liked it if the dressing rooms were available. But these r the times we are in. Prices are a bit too high for a good will.

Went today to drop off a real wood bed with beautiful carved vines on it and the gentleman working the door outside older was super rude and nasty not only to myself but the gentleman before me!

Sometimes you can find some really good things there, Other days you dont find much. Prices are good. But I noticed there prices have risen in the last 6 months or so. There really good items are on line, at a Much higher price. Fun place to shop!

Love this place

So disappointed in this store, I bought several pieces of glass and ceramic items. The cashier who was an older lady with Gray long hair was wrapping our items and throwing them in bags so when I got home several items were broken from her throwing them around. Not going there again unless I wrap them myself. I wish they were more careful with items especially with what they are charging for them.

Pretty good store that has good employees who are very personable. The patrons could be a little more courteous with looking through the items on the shelves of the back wall. Get rather mixed up quite a bit...

Prices are simply outrageous. Yes, they have nice stuff, but if I wanted to pay $6 for a DVD set I would just spend a bit more (or a bit less in some cases even) on ebay or at a store and get it brand new.The staff is very friendly and the store is always well stocked & organized with clean restrooms, but I usually walk out with nothing because the prices are simply too high for a thrift store.

Way over priced for what they have...you can pay less buying an item new at the retail store on sale. Sad for the people that need to put shoes on their feet or a winter coat to keep warm. Ill donate some place else

I love this Goodwill. This the best Goodwill that I have ever come across. Very Friendly staff. I go everyday sometimes twice a day because they are always getting donations. I find a lot of collectible items including board games and vintage electronics. I never go home empty handed. Great place for the treasure hunter in you.

Very knowledgeable, helpful employees. Always polite no matter how busy they are. It seems they carry what Im looking for regardless of what it is. And it is clean.

Every time I shop here I love the selection that is much better than other Goodwills in Genesee county. I definitely recommend. Also, Elijah, who works in donation, is a great guy and so helpful. Donating went really smoothly, and he had such a can-do attitude.

I’ve been donating everything here for 20 years and I accidentally donated a library book and the assistant manager would not let me look for it and went back and spent exactly 30 seconds looking. I told her how important it was but she couldn’t care less. Very disappointing that someone could be so insensitive to a customer. Extremely poor customer service.

Friendly service, always clean and neat, I love this one. Great for adding to your collections at great prices.

CDs are WAY overpriced

I went to the Fenton Michigan location and spent about an hour picking out coordinated clothing for family pictures . When I got up to cashier to check out, They refused to sell me a shirt that I found because it didnt have a tag on it. I told them I would pay a higher price and I didmt care how much they had to charge me but even the manager was rude and stated that it had to be reprocessed and proceeded to walk away with the piece of clothing that I had picked out in her hand . So I was refused a donated piece of clothing that is 100% profit for them because they didnt properly tag it and they refused to sell it to me. I will never visit another goodwill again and neither will anyone else in my family

Fenton Store on 1/24/19 around 12:30 or so my husband bought a chair and took it to the register to pay and put it in our truck. Apparently you are not allowed to do that anymore? A lady with glasses and curly hair working the middle register was rude rude rude!! She talked to him like he was trash. Told him she wished he hadn’t brought it up and it had to go out the back door. Made him sign some paper??? Never had such an ordeal trying to buy furniture there. Never been treated so horrible either!!! The other ladies at the registers were lovely, though.

You know something is wrong with the management of the store when the cashier that welcomes you to the store is rude. Few minute after I entered the store, the same lady, (rather, old very old) was trying to prevent a customer to look at some ceramics, or glass that were on the top of the shelve next to the cashier because she could brake them....?First, the things are donated, second the customer -a women around 50s was much younger than her, and third things are there to be touch.I looked and said nothing. Few minutes passed and the same lady took the microphone to inform us that store would be close in few minutes. Once again, she was rude and seemed in a rush to close.I understand that Goodwill has to keep training people that move like a revolving door, but it can not allow to have a person that seems to be beyond training being the face of the store.I bought some things in the past, but now, the store not only had less inventory, but looks that is not doing well.Not surprisingly, the bath had no toilet paper, and the soap dispenser appeared that has been pushed from the wall.It is a pitty because it is a good location and it is an area with affluent neighborhoods around. I do not think people are donating much.If the ambiance is what I experience in the few minutes I was there, is obvious that things are not doing well. An store that has too much empty space is telling you something.The choice of Goodwill of spending 1200 dollars a month on billboards instead of improving customers service is a wrong approach. Yes, billboard are flashy but training, boring training is the key.Goodwill should learn from companies that have excellent customer service training for their employees like Starbuck Cafe. Yes, the coffee at Starbucks is not cheap, but the service is impecable. And that is why I spend way more money at Starbuck Cafe than at Goodwill. I go every day!

Decent sized place with a good selection of treasures! Kind of a bummer that they Mark up the price of name brand shoes higher than the normal price they charge for shoes, but still good stuff to find here!

This particular Goodwill is always great for grabbing some cheap, clean furniture.

Do not cruise through it as I used do. It is a place to possibly find a little deal or bargain maybe. The place borders on the dingy and unkempt. It has most of the leftovers from the leftovers. Only once in a while can you find something that is worth the price. Dont think for a moment it is waltzing with the good stores, cause it aint. Like I mentioned above it is the left of the left overs and that is about it.UPDATE: the place is a hole where the broken toys go, the prices getting close to Walmart bargains and it has defective merchandise. I personally tested 2 TVs that did not work. If you buy something and it is defective and you removed the sticker they will not honor an exchange or NO money back AND THAT WAS STRAIGHT FROM THE STORE MANAGER!!!This place is the bottom of the barrel with a hole in it. PS: The CEO of Goodwill has a 175,000 dollar yearly salary!!!!

I went to this goodwill in Fenton,for the first time and i saw a pretty rug they had a price of $5.49 on it, didnt know you were suppose to take the tag off of it to purchase it, so when i went to inquire about it the tag got gone, they told me that maybe someone had taken the tag off to purchase it and maybe they were walking around and if they dont pick it up by this time tomorrow then you can purchase it. So i went back the next day and they told me that the rug was sold. So I continued to go to this store because they have good things, and doing so i stumbled upon this rug again!! (mind you this is 2 weeks later) So I was astonished to see that same rug. They had a price of $49.00, I asked the lady at the cashier, and told her the story and she said Not So, I said yes it is the same rug. The manager said no way would they have a rug for $5.49 I told her that me and my sister was there and we saw the rug for that price and she didnt do anything and basically told me to get out of her face because they were closing. I know it dont make a difference to her because she is just there for a check, but It really deterred me from going there anymore, and to make matters worst we were the only blacks in the store.

So glad to get in on the deals. They really take pride in grouping things together to make it easy to find what you want.

It is clean and organized. Sometimes you can find lots of goodies and other times it is hit and miss. It is worth the peek if you have the time.

For a place that get everything donated to you and you make a 100% profit, you prices are outrageous. I hope people stop giving you donations and stop shoping there. Youre there to provide a service for the community, for people who are struggling, not to make a profit and pad your pockets.

Purchased $2.99 toy it didnt work - it was used and over priced. I tried to take it back with receipt and the refused becuae the sticker wasnt on it?Seriously - wow! Wont donate or shop there anymore.Fenton location.

Went there on a Sunday when they didnt close till 6 and they were all talking inside at 5:45 and had the doors locked. I went to open the door cause they were supposed to still be open and the woman inside just shrugged her shoulders at me. All i wanted to do was go in and see if they had furniture then i was going to leave before they closed. Just thought it was kind of rude.
