Ok so I was holding off on writing this but it’s unavoidable. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. With that came a wheel rotation. Upon leaving the dealership, my tire comes off on Woodward Ave. just avoiding hitting another vehicle. They take my vehicle back to the shop and tell me they are going to take care of it. The problem is they had my vehicle for almost 2 months and the only time I was able to get a status update from them was when I went to the dealership and asked… No phone call until it was ready. The service I paid for wasn’t even refunded or offered. I would say the customer service, if you want to call it that is lacking.

From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly. Ann, was my salesperson! She was so nice, she was not trying to run my credit and get rid of me lol like most pushy sales people do. We went and looked at cars, talked possible rates, I test drove a car and came in and spoke a little more about my price point I wanted to stay in! After that I did the application and basically walked out the door! lol

Everyone was nice. I had to remove the plastic and paper from my vehicle after my vehicle had its first oil change. Wasn’t impressed with that at all. They also performed a software update and I had a film all over the dash and middle console and had to find a way to clean it. Not impressed with that either.

I dont know what happened, we found a vehicle we liked and a credit application was instantly being pushed on us. Were not local so we figured if it made it easier we would do it although we were willing to pay cash. We were told we could to the credit through them for a discounted price and then pay it off no problem right away so we obliged. We filled out the credit app, we were told it was received, we had a hit to credit and we were told our score was in the 800s so no problem there... well, from there we were ghosted and never heard from the sales rep Capus again. I hate when there is a credit hit for no reason. I dont understand the reason for pushing a credit application if they werent interested in selling the vehicle to us. We have not heard from Capus since. Poor service and for this reason I wouldnt recommend.

Update: Updating my review as Brian was able to help resolve some of the issues we had from our buying experience. We finally got our accessories on 09/14/2021 and Brian comped us for some of the cost. Greatly appreciate his help!Original Review based on buying experience 09/04/2021:The buying experience lasted way too long. We came in just before 11am to look at a GMC Canyon. The test drive was quick and easy. We left two vehicles that we planned to trade in depending on price. After the test drive, our sales person was taking one question at a time and going back and forth for answers on them. It took multiple tries to confirm if we were able to get a the trailer hitch and wiring harness as accessories for our truck. We felt she was more focused on making the sale over ensuring our test drive was good and getting all our questions sorted out.We did get numbers on our potential trade ins around 1pm and had to ask the finance person to help understand the trade in values and potential final numbers. Once we were comfortable with the answers, it took another 2 hours to finally get what our final number might be. By this point, we felt forced to take our personal belongings out of our two vehicles over to the Canyon so they could get them over to the used car lot. Our plates were taken off, one of them being transferred over to the Canyon, orange do not sell stickers on the front window, all before we knew what our cost and APR would be.In the final hour of signing paperwork, the accessories we planned to order were left out of the sale price and monthly payment. Upon figuring out those added numbers, the cost for the Canyon was approaching numbers we were not comfortable affording. At this point, my fiancee was on the verge of tears because the numbers just kept going higher. Even if we wanted to back out now, we couldnt because the two titles were already signed over to the dealership. We did finally settle on the purchase price without accessories added to it. We did ask for the accessories to be ordered and what the cost would be. I was told they were being ordered and I would get a call Tuesday when I could pick them up.We finally left at 4pm, tired, hungry, and frustrated with the process. I get we were a walk in and I understand Covid. 5 hours was the longest Ive spent getting a new car. Of the previous new vehicle purchases, all around holidays (Thanksgiving and between Christmas and New Years), this was by far the worst.I got called Tuesday that our accessories were ordered (not on Saturday like we were told). We asked to cancel one of the parts as we chose to go another route. I have no idea what the cost of the other accessories are going to be. Ive looked that up myself and have a rough idea.My Fiancee and I are happy with our Canyon. But we will not return here for another vehicle or for anything more. We will only do one trip to give one key over from our trade in and the hopefully ordered parts.

Horrible customer service, I brought a brand new car, and it was delivered to me with strained seats and a large scratch on the front bumper. Took a week and a half to fix the scratch and they would not replace the seat covers on a brand new car reached out to them multiple time no response back. I would not buy a new or used car from this dealership. They dont not care about customer satisfaction, or the customer in general, they just want you to sign papers and take yo money and give you a vehicle in whatever condition. Very sad to see this General Motors dealership fall so short on customer satisfaction.

It was fine but it took 1 1/2 hours for oil change vs. 1. When I went to the service desk they looked for my car and found it done sitting out side. How long did I wait extra and if I had not gone and asked how long would have I sat and waited . . . . All was fine with the car.

At first there was miscommunication with the first sales representative. My information was then transferred to Brennan and he made sure he was on top of everything and made sure we was on the same accord. Do NOT go to Rich Schorn here. He was rude to me over the phone and in person, very unfriendly and not helpful at ALL. Honestly think it was due in large part to being a woman, so please avoid this man if you are a female looking to come to this location. I specifically asked him not to move my car until it was ready to be worked on because it had no coolant, he brought me into the office then immediately left without saying anything and moved my car, blatantly ignoring my wishes. After he was being difficult/rude I asked if when I returned to pick up my car if someone else could assist me, to which he responded by throwing the papers with my information to another service attendant’s desk saying he would help me now. Chris Marcelli was absolutely understanding and kind. He even kept the part they replaced so I could understand what was wrong. Highly recommend going to Chris for anything you need, just be careful! Rich shouldn’t work in a customer service environment.

Brought my 2018 GMC Terrain in for an oil change. Was told my engine and cabin air filters needed to be replaced. Cost was $50 for the engine and $95 for the cabin filter. Not knowing better in the moment I had to make the decision, I agreed. Then while I was waiting, I talked to a friend who had her GMC Acadia cabin air filter replaced at another Certified Service dealer earlier this week for $45. Then I searched online for the cost of a new ACDelco cabin air filter for my make and model - $16.99! When I discussed this with the service writer he 1) told me that all dealers charged different prices and 2) said that ACDelco wasn’t a GM filter. First of all, ACDelco is as much a part of GM as Buick or GMC. And I would understand if there was a minor price difference between dealers, but more than double is simply unethical. After going back and forth for a few minutes, he agreed to give me a discount. But the fact that I had do my own research and complain has really soured my entire experience with this dealership. Not only will I be getting service at a another dealer in the future, but my lease is ending in less than a year and I will take my business elsewhere.It’s also worth mentioning, in the time I was waiting, I saw the service writer walk over to two other customers to recommend they change the same two filters. I can’t help but think this is there way of up-charging to increase their revenue in a struggling economy.

This was technically the first time having work done at this dealership. I had previously tried back in the summer however it was a horrible experience. I called and made an appointment only to be told once I arrived that there was no appointment in the system. I explained that I made an appointment over the phone but that didn’t matter. I was upset and still wasn’t accommodated after speaking with a manager. I ended up having to call GM and making a formal complaint which I still haven’t been contacted about.This particular appointment on 10/29 was to have my battery replaced/installed. I called to inquire about the price and made an appointment. EVERYTHING went perfectly from start to finish. Service actually only took about 30 minutes. I’m glad I gave them a second chance to redeem themselves. I will definitely be back any time I need service on my car.

My car was kept here for a week before I was even given a diagnosis. I ended up picking my car up and going elsewhere. They quoted me hundreds of dollars higher on what my car was going to be than another GMC dealership that I ended up going to. The other dealership was able to get my car in and out within 2 business days. The customer service was poor and I was not satisfied. I would not recommend this dealership.

This has been the worst experience at Buick Suburban, I’ve EVER experienced! They are usually honest and do a excellent job on the assignment at hand. I requested for a oil change with a tire rotation, they did not perform that task of the tire rotation. They said they did but when the tech was questioned about the assignment, he replied he did not rotate my tires. No paper was put down on the carpet after the job was competed.. They did a 27- point inspection, “at least that’s what it says on paper.” When I asked if the job was really performed, they replied, “yes it was done!” I found that being very odd and strange because the previous visits, they mentioned and noted rear main seal leak, slight oil leak, and rear shock leak. All of sudden no findings!? I did not get any work done on the mentioned items. That said, Surburban Buick told me to bring the car back today 1-5-21 for the tire rotation.How inconvenient is that, right!? Drop the car back off after I paid for service I did not receive. If anything, give me my money back, job incomplete! I mean, I paid a service that did not get done, it was overlooked! Question is, did they do anything they said? Before leaving I had codes. Why wasn’t my headlight addressed that it was out during my 27 point inspection?

I cannot recommend Suburban Buick GMC of Ferndale and both Julio and Jack enough. Julio searched for what I was looking for, event when I had a few changes in color. We did 90% of the process online. He didnt get my request and then say, great lets schedule an appointment for you to come in. He called, we discussed what I was looking for and he sent me options via email. I came in did a test drive, took a few days to decide, came in made my purchase, doing all the things, then finally picked up my car. It was seamless and professional. The location is amazing and everyone was so nice, even the staff I didnt directly deal with. If youre in the market for a car, this is the place to go!

It took the tech seven days to determine what was wrong with my vehicle, when the shop owner that took my vehicle to them they would not return his phone calls he had to go to the dealership to get any information. When he finally picked the vehicle up, he had to make it to the nearest gas station to put air in the tires. This is the 2nd and last time that Suburban Buick will ever service my vehicle. I wouldnt even take my bicycle to them.

This was the first visit where everything went right. Whoever it was at the service desk that helped me on 11/3 did a great job. Past visits have been 3 hour oil changes, tires rotated wrong despite marking the tires and providing a written sheet on where the tires are now and where they go when rotate. When I went to pick up the truck after a 3 hour oil change the tires hadnt been rotated and they would not take it back in to rotate the tires. I had to come back and it took an hour. I can rotate them myself in half that time.

My Service Tech was awesome. Ryan Raver was kind and very informative. He made sure that I knew everything I needed to know about my car but he wasn’t overbearing like most dealerships are. Even though his mask I could tell that he kept a smile on his face when he spoke. I’ll be back to see him for my next Oil Change

I went in for routine maintenance, oil change, rotate tires and multipoint inspection. The wait time was reasonable. The staff and customers in the wait area followed CDC guidelines for mask and social distancing. Employees routinely wiped down surfaces in the wait area.

The paper work was good. However, the license plate was misplaced in other place and was not ready when I pick up the car and was waiting for another 30 min. without it. So, the car was delivered later when the license plate was ready. Also, the disinfection kit was not ready and was not delivered after one day and still is waiting for it.

I was so unbelievably pleased and happy with every aspect of this dealership and purchasing my car. I had my mind completely set on a Ford and had never even considered a GMC and was literally next door at the Ford dealership filling out the paperwork to take home an Explorer and just for kicks I called up to the Ferndale Buick GMC and said “I know this is short notice but I’m at the dealership next door and just so I don’t have any regrets I want to see if someone could crunch some numbers ASAP for me” and within 10 minutes I got a call back from Taylor who shocked me with a price for a loaded Acadia significantly cheaper than the Ford I was about to lease and I was like do you have time for me in 2 minutes? No exaggeration walked across the street with my 2 year old from Ford and ended up leaving the dealership with a brand new Acadia more decked out than at Ford and for $30 less a month EVEN WITH a higher interest rate credit approval and was able to get WearCare as well. Taylor was so friendly and so unbelievably helpful and had a very good sense of humor. When the price got too high she was willing to work with me and got the GM involved who also was very nice and helpful. Taylor even made my antsy 2 year old comfortable, brought him stuff to color and showed my husband where to take him to play and offered popcorn. It truly shows that customer service is the most important factor in sales, because I can guarantee you if it hadn’t been Taylor who called me and was so sweet and informative and persistent on getting me the price I wanted, I would have never ever left with a vehicle. I have never had an experience at a dealership like this before and I will recommend Taylor, the GM of the dealership and the Suburban Buick GMC of Ferndale dealership to everyone I know. I am SO happy
