Clean store with good play space, but selection is very small. Little bit of everything. Prices pretty much at MSRP.

This small tucked away game store is one of the only ones that I know of in Flagstaff, but its got a bit for everyone. Miniatures, game mats, Warhammer supplies and books, citadel paints, magic the gathering cards and tables for playing. The first time I was there the guy behind the counter was really friendly, today a different guy seemed a bit busy doing something else and although he was friendly enough, not as friendly as the other one and hubby was put off and we left pretty quickly. Overall pretty good though.

Clean and plenty of space for gamers. They host multiple gaming nights. Check it out.

Great place to find things related to RPG and Board Games! There are also tables to play with your group in the building and events that happen if you dont have people to play games with!

Ive only been to this place a handful of times but they have a great selection a of gamesworshop products for great prices! If you want warhammer 40k miniatures, Age of Sigmar, or any of the paint and painting accessories to go along with it they have them. They also carry some army painter tool and basing materials. Id like to see some other paint brands like Vallejo and monument hobbies but I cant fault them for what they have right now.10/10 will definitely stop by next time Im in town

The location was easy to find and the selection of Mafic the Gathering cards and polyhedron dice were really nice. My only upset was their machine didnt accept Mastercard so I had to leave without making a purchase. Other than this problem i would highly recommend.

The store is fun and always has a ton of events and games for the customers to have fun. I have never had a bad experience here and I assure you that you won’t either.

The geekery is my favorite place to play MTG!Great card selection, great table space for playing, super helpful staff that can answer almost any question, and it’s easy to find people to play with no matter what you’re playing. The staff here are great. Ive forgotten dice bags and boxes of Magic cards and all times my stuff was there behind the counter for me when I came back to check if someone found them. They are also knowledgeable about the games they sell. For the most part they are stocked with format staples, and Ive never had to wait more than a week past when they put orders in (once weekly as far as I know) for a Warhammer model to come in.As for tournament structures, their price payout is fair and John (the head judge there for Magic) rules on questions and disputes with a pedantic adherence to the rulebook, which is exactly what is needed in a judge.Im not sure where some other people who reviewed this are getting their snacks, but $0.50 for a Twinkie and $1 for a soda are better than convenience stores.

I just read my review from 7 years ago, and the store has changed hands since. I was critical about the environment and employees at the time, and Im happy to report that that has changed! The staff are a lot more inviting, and Ive been to several events for magic the gathering that were very fun. Steven the owner is frequently at the front desk. Hes very knowledgeable, friendly, and charismatic. If you enjoy board games or card games this is the place to go in Flagstaff

This place has ruined other stores for me due to how incredibly kind the owners are and how honest of a business it is. I recently moved to a new town and there isnt a store that come close to how amazing The Geekery was for me, most places just see you as a wallet but at the Geekery I felt more like a community member. Friendly workers and great players, I highly recommend this store to anyone into geeky things!

This place can never seem to open on time. I live almost 2 hours away and every time I come to the store its closed even if the listed time says that the place should have been open fore half an hour or more. Combine that with the staff acting as if I dont belong there, makes me hesitant to want to come back. All I can say is, unless you plan to go there for every MTG event, dont expect a warmest of welcomes. I will, however, say that the customer service has improved since the first time I visited.

I have been in game stores all over the state for almost a decade. The Geekery is one of the two best atmosphere and card selections locations statewide. The cards are inexpensive (read tcgplayer low to market). They have a selection only matched or exceeded by three stores in the whole Phoenix metro area. Casual play is encouraged and tournaments are run in a timely fashion (again, better than most stores) without regard for regulars over anyone else (I have seen stores in Phx show much more favoritism in waiting for regulars to get started, for example). The store manager is excellent, honest, and helpful as are the staff. Snacks are underpriced. Competitors and tournaments are just that: competition. They are fair and I can always trust the people I play against there.If someone has trouble here, then they brought it with them. I havent ever seen any of the recent negative reviewers in the store ever. My kids arent always the best behaved, and Geekery staff are more than patient with them.If the Geekery has a problem, its that the tables are always full of people having a good time and talking about nerd stuff. If that bothers you, then you probably arent a real nerd anyway...

This place is a delightful local gaming store, curating the likes of Magic: the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh, and the store is entirely owned and operated by local residents who can give you healthy introductions and beginners tips to begin most of the games they offer. This place also hosts multiple events including tournaments and Dungeons and Dragons games ran by local townsfolk. All around a great place to have fun and learn new hobbies

Not a friendly local game store. Ok if you are playing DnD or casual MtG, but do not play here competitively. Tournaments, events, and competitions are rigged in favor of the regulars or store favorites. The judges are not impartial and allow cheating. Several people have brought it up to the store owners, who then called the police to remove those persons from the store. Don’t play here if you can help it.

I came in needing an entire deck list an hour before their standard tournament. Everyone behind the counter was more than willing to help me find everything I needed as soon as possible. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

One of the worst stores Ive been in. The Owners had a customer removed by the police and all she wanted to do was play with warhammer toys. My family and I will never go to this business again. and I advise no one else too.

Stopped in to get dice today. The guy working the store was super nice, and had a good selection of dice.

I visited this store for a tournament and it was very unprofessional, the organizer was allowing regulars to cheat. In 15 years of gaming I havent visited a filthier store either, I watched an employee sneeze directly into a bin full of dice and the OWNER wiped a huge booger on a box of space marines when he thought nobody was looking. DISGUSTING.

Its so great to have a shop like this in the small city of Flagstaff: great new board games, trading cards, comic books, even beverages to quench your thirst while gaming. The staff is friendly and open to cool ideas such as hosting clubs and game nights.

Great if youre looking for MTG cards, but not much of a selection for comics. The board game selection was ok but left much to be desired. Wasnt too inviting with 3 guys hovering over a computer discussing flights.

Great place to play some warhammer

Staff was friendly, once I found the place (small signage and inside a mall area of the shopping center), the store was well lit. TV going with some anime and a large gaming area. Now, the bad. If youre into Magic the Gathering, this is your store, otherwise, no reason to go here. One shelf of RPGs (read 5th edition D&D) and a few board games do not a game store make. Very disappointed.
