I chose the EyecenterOptometric (Folsom) for an exam and new pair of glasses on Feb. 19th 2020. I needed computer/reading glasses and after a hard upsell on the progressive lenses with all the bells and whistles, walked out with a receipt for exam and glasses costing approximately $750.When I put on the glasses, I found it very difficult to see with the progressive lenses. I was told that I would get used to them and to give it some time. I wanted the glasses to work, but it seemed the transition line from near to far was not in the correct place on the lense itself, and the only way to see out of them was to hold them about a half inch above my bridge. Then came the pandemic and I put them in a drawer meaning to go back at a later date.That was today. I explained my situation with the glasses and was told by a male technician to lean my head way back while using them or pay another $188 to swap out the lenses because it was after the 6 month warranty time frame. There was no willingness to work with me to resolve the issue and extend the time frame due to the pandemic, he just kept rudely repeating, You had 6 months! even as I walked out to take my business elsewhere. Very poor customer experience and Im left with an expensive pair of glasses I cant use. Just sad.

I have been struggling with dry eye for awhile. They have been such a tremendous, help! I will never go to another eye doctor after my experience. The staff is wonderful, nice and super helpful. Thank you.

My first time in, and I am so pleased I chose EYEcenter in Folsom!From the first moment I arrived, I felt completely comfortable with the staff. Everyone there was friendly in just the right ways without it seeming false. The Dr. was just as friendly and genuine and actually spent time teaching me about my own eyes… I learned more in my first visit here than a lifetime of eye doctor appointments combined.The boutique is pleasing both in style and atmosphere, spotlessly clean and I noted they have several Covid safety protocols in place including sanitizing frames, surfaces and pens after each use.I want to thank everyone at EYECenter for being a shining example of what true boutique service is, and of course for repairing my old glasses while my new ones are being prepared. 🤓Special shout out to Inna for all her patience and kindness while I tried on frame after frame…you really know your stuff and I couldn’t have been in better hands 🙏🏼

Optometry is one of those places we visit maybe one or twice a year. For that reason, an optometry practice has to get its patient care and customer service absolutely right, the first time, from the minute a person walks in the front door to the time he or she exits. Dr. Staples was very attentive and knowledgeable; she showed expertise in her practice and concern for me as her patient -- something that rarely occurs in tandem in many healthcare professions. Clinical staff members Lexi, Santiago, and Jordyn rounded off my visit and made it a pleasant experience. Ill be coming back.

Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. Helped answer all of my questions. Even helped me pick frames that were on sale and what worked best with my insurance. I will definitely keep going there! I was able to fill out all of the paperwork online ahead of time too!

Well if you need glasses and find it hard to grrr et just what you want this place went over and beyond. I had an eye examination with a doctor where we explored a few options. I felt like I had total control of what I was getting with expert advice.

Staff is always nice and friendly. Doctors take their time, make sure all your questions are answered and make sure you have information on all of your options.

I received a new prescription and ordered two sets of glasses. One was photo-gray transition to dark (sunglasses) in sunlight with progressive prescription lenses to avoid bifocals. They have scratch protection as well. The others were prescription sunglasses with progressive lenses and UV protection. Both were delivered in two weeks and the prescription gives me natural and clear vision. Dr. Larson improved my vision significantly with his prescription which was allowed and covered by Veterans Affairs.

I had the pleasure of going into the Folsom office to pick up my new glasses today. Again I was greeted warmly, assisted timely, and it was the perfect bookend to my appointment on 3/11. My glasses look great and as a bonus, I can see!!! The number of hours I put in front of the computer has snuck up on me. After I got home and worked with my new glasses I realized how much of a strain I had just been enduring. Never again! Thank you Eyecenter team and you’ll receive all of my future referrals.

What a great place for vision care! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The optometrist was kind, funny and genuinely caring. Getting an appointment was easy and my glasses came in in a timely manner. Love this place, both my husband and I go here.

I strongly suggest that you do not make this your place for eye care. While I will say my ophthalmologist was excellent here, the opticians have been anything but. I leave messages and no one calls me back, I have contacts on order with no information provided to me, no updates, nothing. I will be taking my business elsewhere when I need my next round of contacts or glasses.UPDATE: After posting an initial 1-star review they reached out to me that day; from that point on, they’ve communicated with me a few times a week with updates on my contact order. While I wish I didn’t need to post a 1-star review to go their attention, I do greatly appreciate the feedback and assurances.

I have never been to an eye doctor or even had my eyes checked. These guys and gals were so awesome and helpful! So friendly too! I have already recommended to all my friends and family to see them for even the slightest issue. Plus, I have never been to great about what looks good/bad so picking out glasses was nerve racking. But Derek was so awesome and helpful and made it fun. I didnt care how many pairs I had to try on because of him. And its awesome that they clean/sanitize after the slightest touch to display glasses. Found the perfect pair for what works for my budget and insurance because Derek was so understanding and helped me figure that out. Seriously why havent you seen them yet?

The optometrist were really nice and they did the thorough eye checkup. The advised appropriate information. The optical manager was really helpful and provided detailed breakdown of various components covered by my insurance.

Ive been regularly seeing Dr. Larson for a few years and before him Dr. Cantor who unfortunately passed away. Theyve always had really timely and great service and I never feel like its a burden to go to any optometry appointment. During my visit today in particular, I really appreciated the fact that I was able to get my pupillary distance taken without being advertised to about their glasses in the store. Furthermore, they were extremely respectful of social distancing and mask rules which I also appreciated.

My daughter had her appointment yesterday and we had their new physician, Dr. Chan. She was really incredible. She explained everything to my daughter and kept her engaged during the exam. She was very friendly and explained why they do the tests they do. Dr. Chan said she is new to the practice. I highly recommend requesting her when making an appointment.

The doctor was great, Derek who helped me with picking the glasses was great the girls at the reception were great but the older lady (don’t like to call out names) in the sales section was very unpleasant and sees the customer with a an attitude and has a lack of courteousness. I would have given it a five star otherwise.

Nice office, very friendly staff. The eye doctor was super nice and really easy to talk to. He seemed like he genuinely cared about my eye care. I do wish they had more selection of glasses. I always feel like I cant ones I really like, and settle for whats there. I think for most people though theres plenty to choose from. Im just picky! Not going to hold it against them.

Both Doctors Ive seen were so amazing, professional, personable, and knowledgeable and were great at helping me understand my vision related issues. The atmosphere is also a huge plus, very modernized, clean, and organized. Beautiful selection of glasses which makes it SO hard to narrow it down to THE pair but 20 mins later we got a winner . Dr Lee was great, very detailed and answered all of my questions. When it was time to choose my glasses, Chrystal was very nonchalant. I asked her a few times if glasses looked okay on me or fit my face and she just kind of shrugged her shoulders. I finally choose a pair, but don’t feel great about them. Glasses are an investment that I wear on my face every day. It would have been nice to have some help and encouragement.

The doctors took time to explain the results of the testing while they were administering to show why they were or were not making recommendations.Large selection of different kinds of glasses. I told the staff that work at EYEcenter that I wanted to order contacts and glasses, however I needed help working it out so It does not cost me and arm and a leg. Vicky at the Folsom shop was the best, not only was she super nice, she was super knowledgeable if thats a word lol. The eye exam was awesome and super quick the doctor and everyone else there was super nice and I received the best prescription Ive ever had. On the insurance side Vicky knew exactly what my insurance would cover and the frame shopping was awesome huge selection all around great experience cant wait to go back. The staff at eye center optimistic is very knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive to each and every customer. I enjoy it because of the hours working a graveyard shift it is hard to find a place open at 7 am. They even offer late night.

Everyone was very kind and professional. I felt listened to and understood. I am very happy with my contacts, and how well they worked with my health care provider. I probably wouldnt want to come here for a low cost selection of glasses, but otherwise would absolutely recommend!

Went in to have my eye examined, because it had been irritated for several days. The optometrist was very thorough, she gave me several suggested remedies and even have me an eye drop sample that is helping. She also completed my annual eye exam, well I was there.
