The one and only - Old Town Churn is the central hub for all things under the ice cream scoop, with an exclusive selection of adventurous and vegan flavors to choose from. In addition to various sizing and cone options, you can choose to turn your favorite Old Town Churn flavor into a milkshake! Old Turn Churn is also surrounded by several restaurants, bars, and friendly dog walking locals. The staff is also immaculate, hard working, and authentically glad to be there. Cant recommend enough.
Solid ice cream. I didnt regret getting it after a long night of brewery hopping. Had the apple pie. It was like eating apply pie but in ice cream form with. A sugar cone. 5 bucks for two oversized scoops.
Stopped in this afternoon, and was met by the enthusiastic young lady I think Ive met in quite some time. Sharaine is exactly what a little place like thus needs. I hope the manager appreciates this.Really good banana split, and a nice addition to a pretty nice day.
Slated Oreo is to die for! The blackberry with white and dark chocolate chips is also my favorite. Small cone is a generous serving size and people are super friendly. Treat yourself.
Was super friendly and great service. Ice cream was the best!
Average ice cream at best, very poor service. Purchased a small cone and they gave me a small cup. I asked if I could get it put in a cone and the server said sure, then proceeded to put a cone on top of my small cup.... laughable to say the least. Will not be visiting again, and definitely worth going around the corner to Ben and Jerrys where I know I will receive good service and quality ice cream with every trip.
Ice cream was soooo good and the guy that helped us was so cute and loved the way he described the flavors. Sorry I wish I could remember his name.
Such good ice cream. Definitely get the ice cream sandwich.
Amazing as usual. New Fluffnutter flavor. Are you kidding me. It was awesome
Best ice cream Ive had in Fort Collins.. smooth.. creamy. Speedy service.
This ice cream was amazing. It’s not visible from the road. Nice hidden gem
This place was absolutely fantastic. Got the matcha honey and was surprised how mellow the flavor was.
Great ice cream including vegan options! Lovely staff too!
We stopped here on the way home, wanted to try an ice cream place other than Sonic or DQ. First of all, its a cool setting in old town FoCo. Nice little plaza with plenty of sitting room to enjoy some ice cream. Portions and prices are comparable to other places, ahem Cold Stone. Do wish there were more flavors though. Because of that, I would give the edge to CS. One of my kids enjoyed the vanilla, and the other liked the orange dreamcicle. I had the chocolate PB. Could have done with more ice cream and less mixins, but overall was good. Would likely come back.
Great location. Great service. Great ice cream.
Great location and building. Service was excellent. Ice cream was good.
Outstanding ice cream spot. Great energy and location
Great ice cream and shakes staff was super nice.
Vegan options that are exciting and delicious!
Delicious ice cream and a great setting to bring the dog and kids
Extremely pleasant staff with great icecream
A part of a great day in Old Town with my family.
Second best ice cream stop at FoCo.
Cant eat dairy, but the vegan thin mint was excellent
Ive been here twice now. Its hard to resist going to an ice cream stand that looks like an ice cream churn, and the whole surrounding area is nice and full of happy people. I am still waiting to be blown away by the ice cream though. The flavors of the boilermaker, and the matcha honey were very subtle at best. Also, my personal opinion about ice cream with chocolate chips is that the chocolate should be chopped up very finely, frozen whole chocolate chips are hard to eat and take away from the experience. Just my thoughts. I do like this place and will continue to visit. I love to support local businesses and I must also say that the staff is very friendly and do a great job.
Ice cream was ok but we were told to put on a mask before ordering. It’s an outdoor ice cream parlor. Drop the ridiculous mask demands and we may one day return. Until then we will tell everyone we know to stay away.
The ice cream is hands down the best. The service is pleasant and fast. Better than Walrus Ice cream, Ben and Jerrys, and Kilgans combined. Great place to take kiddos with the outside area available. I highly recommend the salted flavors like Oreo and Peanut Butter Cup!
Best vegan ice cream around!
Easy to get to in down town Fort Collins. Very personable place. Ice cream had a great taste. It was real ice cream and not ice milk. Had a nice selection to choose from. Prices were fair and seemed to match their quality of service and product offering. Was really impressed with the coke float.
If i could give them more than 5 stars, I would! They have dairy free flavors that taste just like traditional ice cream and the price is comparable to anywhere else in town. With 90+ rotating flavors... youll never get bored :)
I wish I could have tried this place. They waved me away after we waited 10 minutes.
Great ice cream. And the red velvet cream cheese ice cream sandwich haunts my dreams.
The ice cream here is amazing! My one suggestion would be to have a little description saying what is in each flavor. We dont often try new flavors because it is hard to tell whats in them. A big fan of this place.
This is a popular place! There is usually a line but worth the wait. Great flavors for everyone. We love salted Oreo and strawberry. Seriously some of the best ice cream you will ever have. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We will be back!
Finally made it to the Churn and it was so good! I always appreciate the fact they have vegan flavors and I am definitely begging for more. They only had the chocolate when I was there but it honestly reopened my eyes to just how good chocolate ice cream can be. Looking forward to spending my summer nights at the Churn!
The customer service and atmosphere is absolutely amazing. It is like none other Ive ever seen for a small shop in old Town. The ice cream was creamy delicious and flavorful. The entire area where Churn is located is bright and fun and everybody seems to have a very positive vibe. There are plenty of fun and new options of ice cream at Churn, however, its a bit pricey. I would say that its worth it though for the fun and experience you have. Its such a unique but accessible place, so I feel as though the price in the end doesnt seem too large for the quality of ice cream and customer service you get.
We recently moved from old town to East Drake and look for any excuse to go back there. Halloween 🎃 in old town is done beautifully and the sea salt peanut butter waffle cone 😍 made the evening TOP NOTCH!#nothingbetterinacone#icecreamdoneright#perfectioninacone
Great Ice Cream! Staff are very nice. And the best things I like are the chocolate ice cream and the ice cream sammies.
Excellent ice cream, and a fun kiosk!
Love their flavor ideas. Wish their vegan flavors were more creamy/cashew based
Charming ice cream joint in the exchange in old town. Great atmosphere, recommended place to hang out with your family or friends in the evening.
Great service and super yummy treats. We each had a small and it was plenty! The salted oreo and buttercream birthday cake were both amazing!
My husband and I visited here and are both disabled and medically exempt from mask wearing. Even with being ADA protected and this being an outdoor establishment we were addressed rudely and told we could not order. Under the Colorado Constitution article 2 section 7 (our right to protection of self and privacy) this is the actual supreme law and protects our privacy. While sections 1, 3, 14 &15 outlines our rights as the owner of our body not to wear anything deemed unsafe for ones health or well being. Our exemption is protected through both the ADA and HIPPA. As it is signed by a licensed and degreed doctor there should have been no questions asked, let alone the disrespect we were shown. Being accosted in front of other customers is deeming and discriminatory towards someone with disabilities. I urge anyone to think twice before supporting this establishment.Where as yes there is a mandate in place (not a law) in regards to the requiring of masks to be warn, even that mandate outlines the exemption of those medically unable to wear one. So this was blatant disregard for us as disabled americans. I would expect better of a progressive town like Fort Collins.
Significantly overpriced. Average ice cream and very below average shakes. I think I would look for other options
First time here and will definitley be last. Found my a piece of plastic when it came rushing through my straw of my pretty nuch only milk vanilla milkshake. Pics in the photos section.
Overpriced average tasting malt
They have a great selection of homemade ice-cream 🍦. I ordered a large shake and was actually surprised how good it was. It was thick, but still very easy to get through the straw 🥤.I soon realized that I should have ordered the smaller size as there was a lot more ice-cream than I thought I would get. There is a great playground area for the kids to run around and the adults to sit down and enjoy the time.
AMAZING ice cream. The key lime flavor tastes like theres a little bit of crust mixed in, and the vegan salted Oreo flavor tastes like the most heavenly brownie mix there is. Thank you to the very cheerful employee who told us all about each flavor and said I should try the vegan version rather than the regular for the Oreo one. Also extremely affordable, great locale, awesome bucket building.
Such a good place. The atmosphere of the Exchange (where this is located) is really awesome, and the ice cream is delicious.
Having lactose free ice cream is always a winner in my book. Especially if it tastes good.
Great locally made ice cream with nice selection of flavors. The ice cream is high quality and very tasty. The store is a really unique and cute looking ice cream maker surrounded by an outdoor gathering/patio that is an exceptional experience. This is a wonderful place to hang out on a nice evening or weekend afternoon. Dont miss it.
Churn refused us service without medical grade disposable masks. Larimer County has lifted the mask mandate. Go elsewhere!
The DEFINITIVE ice cream in Fort Collins. Salted Oreo is a must !!
Delicious ice cream. Worth stopping by for sure
One of the BEST ice creams I’ve ever had! Great flavors, VERY reasonable prices, and friendly staff. The fun atmosphere is a nice cherry on top:)
Ive been at this place quite a few time and it never disappoints until i tried the Caramel Apple pie it was very salty! My friends and I couldnt even finish it. But all the other flavors are grate and the staff is always fantastic so for today is this many stars sorry!
Up until last night this was my most favorite ice cream place in town. My friends and I frequently go here and recommend it to many others. This last time we came--we arrived to find a line of 6-8 people being served ice cream. We jumped in line excited for a delicious treat. People in front of us were served one by one, and when it came our turn, the open sign was flipped over to closed. Some warning from the clerk wouldve been appreciated as we didnt realize it closed at 9. We then learned that Walrus Ice Cream is open until 10 and would be happy to accept our business.
Truly creamy and delicious. Inventive unique flavors with a personal spin on classics as well. Fun environment. Parking a bit challenging - not unique to the Fort Collins downtown - but a short walk from the public parking structures is worth it.
AMAZING vegan flavors!! They had chocolate with brownie chunks, horchata, and an apple cider ice cream that tastes like apple pie!! I am definitely coming back for more.
Best ice cream in the world. Vegan chocolate salted oreo is da bomb.
Best. Ice cream. Ever. not only is it one of the coolest buildings in fort Collins (its a giant bucket), but they have the best ice cream in town, no doubt about it. They handcrafted unique flavors to give you something new ever time.
Awesome ice cream, as usual!
The environment was laid back, open and nice. A great environment for a night out with family or friends. The ice cream was AMAZING and super yummy. I definitely cant wait to come back.
Ice cream nirvana. I have been a fan of their sister shop in Denver, Little Man, for many years. I am so excited that they have brought the same quality and creativity to Fort Collins. I particularly love how so many of their flavors have a ton of texture and fun things mixed in. Salty Oreo in a fresh waffle cone = heaven. I would live here if it wasnt outside.
This is the best ice cream in Fort Collins! Though Old Town Churn does not have the most flavors, their daily offerings are consistently outstanding. Fair prices and generous portions.
Very friendly staff that makes you feel a part of the community. Awesome outdoor complex for an afternoon hangout. The owners dog Scoop is adorable too!
Homemade ice cream or sherbet at its best in a fun setting at The Exchange. Great place with put put golf & eateries. Those of age can get spirits at The Exchange also.
Such a cute place. Lots of good flavors.
Great ice cream great place to have outside in the summer
Great customer service. The second time I went back the ice cream tasted so much better. Salted caramel peanut butter cup is a winner🏆!!
Fantastic ice cream. I make a lot of ice cream and it is rare to get something better than you can make at home. This is worth buying!
The employees are very friendly and helpful! I got the matcha honey flavor and it was so good. Would def recommend!
Super good ice cream. Love the variety of flavors. Worth the wait
Great ice cream. Creative flavors and a fun location. Thankfully, never encountered the long lines I was accustomed to at Little Man!
Favorite ice cream in town, super yum and great pricing too, relatively. Neat spot for kids to play around in the large courtyard
Great vegan chocolate ice cream with great environment for hounds.
