The fish tacos were awesome, as were the sweet potato fries. Not local fish, but still really tasty.Beer was spot on! We tried the blood orange blonde, the porter, and the imperial IPA, all excellent. Blood orange blonde was my favorite. When we travel we love trying microbreweries so we were happy to find this place. Cute tees too ☺️
The good: Absolutely blown away by the brews. Very well done for a small craft brewery. I bought a 64oz growler of the blueberry ale to take home because its one of the best beers Ive had in awhile. Definitely recommend it.The bad: the food was mediocre at best and crazy overpriced. Fish tacos were dry and had no flavor. Definitely not fresh fish like you would expect at a beach restaurant. The burger was a frozen patty and very dry and had no flavor and little to no seasoning. If youre chef cant make a basic cheese burger, then its time to reevaluate your chef and find one that can. Hes not helping your business. This is the kind of place Gordon Ramsay would tear apart for cutting corners in the kitchen.Id come back if I were in the area for the beers, but the food is a hard pass for me.
Despite being busy for the pub crawl, the food came out fast. The Reuben was really good, onions rings were fresh, no complaints. Bartender was great and there was a sweet lady(might have been manager) but she was funny and super personable. I would definitely come back and drink and eat here again.
Last minute dinner plans with 10 friends made it difficult to find a place to eat that didnt have an hour wait. I called Props and they said they had no problem getting us in. We were welcomed and they put us in a room where all of us could sit together. The food was great and we all got our food at the same time. Kayla was our waitress and she was very attentive to all of us. Thank you Props!
Steady busy on a Friday night with live music. Good craft beer and would recommend to try if you are a craft drinker. Food was decent but the when ordering the hamburger, order yours a little less done otherwise it could be dry when you get it. Service was excellent!!
I really like this place! Food is surprisingly good and the house brews arent bad! I went here a few times and the atmosphere was nice.I had the buffalo chicken sandwich one night along with the burger another night and was pleasantly surprised. Much better than some of the big name chains.Veteran owned with quality food, I can support that for sure.
My boyfriend and I stopped here after a long day expecting normal bar food, what we got was probably the best meal we had here all week! Our waiter was awesome, friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic! Recommend this to place to everyone!!
Very surprised. My wifes fish taco was the best she has had anywhere near here. My French Dip was very nice (medium). Sides were good. My wife was very happy with her side salad. Beer was excellent and reasonable. Service was good. We decided to try this place and we were both pleasantly surprised.
Great place for lunch. Food was great, service very good. Shared a couple of flights. Great selection of brews as well as cocktails.
Really good food and the craft beers are awesome. We will definitely go back. Everyone was friendly and on their mark for service..
We went with my in-laws and had a good time. My fish was overcooked and dry but everyone else enjoyed their food. The waitress was friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back and try something else.
We stopped here at about 9 pm after a 6 hour drive. We were looking for some dinner and a couple of beers after our long trip. When we first sat down we were told the kitchen had just closed. The chef noticed our disappointment and offered to make us something anyway. He really went out of his way for us and we truly appreciate it! The food was amazing and the service was awesome. Oh and dont forget the beer, yum! Definitely try there blonde ale!
No cook at the time of our visit. Staff was still excellent. Enjoyed a beer
Thank god for Josh bless his heart. Only good person that does the right thing in that establishment. If your a hard working middle class man spend your money else where.Waitresses are very snide, especially comments on the side. Locals are welcome ! Outsiders/vacationers are not. This place screams understaffed and drama. Anyways food and beer is really good ! Customer service could use some work. Definetly Air Force ran 😂😂
We hopped on over on a Saturday night in early February. The place was busy, but we sat immediately. We were greeted quickly and ordered our beer. Our drinks returned quickly and we ordered food.I had the Props Cubano and my wife had the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. Both were great! The Cubano with friends was a lot of food. My wife enjoyed the spice of her Mac and cheese. There was live music that was entertaining. TVs are all around so you always have something to look at if there’s no conversation. We enjoyed Props- give it a try!
Noticed that they were listed as LGBRQ friendly so i decided to give then a try... I ordered a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it to see if they could nail the basics. IT WAS AWESOME! The fries were really good, too. The only downside is that we tried to come back a second time but needed to call ahead to order and no one answered the phone so we went somewhere else. Might have been severely short staffed so I dont think it is worth taking away any stars for something they couldnt help. Just bummed we had to go somewhere else that night. We will attempt to go here again but will still need to place an advanced order so I hope it works next time.
We came and were greeted and shortly after our waitress came to get out drink order. She suggested a beer for my husband which he loved! We ordererd Sesame Thai wings for our appetizer which were delicious and i got a burger and the hus got a Mushroom Burger. He said his was great and mine was too..and they have these fun potato twist wedges..which were yums..do yourself a flavor and stop in!
Called for to ask about their pet policy on the patio and got lectured for a minute about how no one will let me bring my dog inside a restaurant. I shook it off and still went, sat on the patio for 20 minutes while trying to get the waitress’ attention inside, but had no luck. Eventually just left and went to the second location up the street and was greeted immediately and ordered food to be delivered there.
We visited Props a few days ago because I’m a brewer and always drag my wife to local breweries when we are in vacation. First of all I was pleasantly surprised by the beer I had; their IPA, Mexican lager, and the blond. All were solid beers! The food was excellent as well. I had the chicken nachos (very large portions!) and my wife got a burger. BUT the absolute star of the show was “Sheena” (I think that was her name, forgive me I had three beers after all lol). She was the only waitress/server/host and the established had approximately twenty customers. Sheena was super attentive to everyone all while somehow being extremely upbeat and courteous to all. We will definelty visit here again!
Decent beer. So so food. Live music. Good atmosphere overall.
I really enjoy going there. We even go to the other one on love joy rd. But today I was really disappointed, first time ever. Ordered our usual then later on my wife found a natt in her beer. The bartender wasnt around there was a small crowd, empty glasses left on the bar, we finished our meal out plates didnt even get picked up. Then I noticed all these nasty flying around the bar. I felt someone is dropping the ball.
One of my favorites.Service is fantastic and so is the food. Love the Flying Coffin beer
The Hard Water is delicious. I was craving a White Claw after our long drive from KY and this was perfect.
What a Great atmosphere and the waitresses were awesome. I have to say that the Prop Oil Porter was a winner! The food was perfect & the BEST BOOM BOOM SHRIMP EVER!!!
Nice staff and great food. Good selection of local beers. Would eat there again.
Great beers. Fantastic fish tacos. Their patio is dog friendly and the servers are really friendly.
Good beer. I had the Dos Pilots and a friend the Flying Coffin IPA and the Jovie Christmas Ale. He said he didnt care for the ale but enjoyed the IPA.Mondays through Fridays 4-6 happy hour $1.00 off beers.Bathroom was in disrepair stained ceiling tiles, poop stains on wall next to toilet, paper towel holder not working; roll of towels onto of open holder.
With a menu of burgers, sandwiches and focus on their brews, there is an atmosphere here of industrial (metals) meets a sports bar.Not going to comment on their brews (Since I enjoyed the Hot Tea instead). The Burger was cooked to my liking (medium) on a Brioche bun. You should be prepared to ask for mayo (if you put that on your burgers). Pickles on the sandwich were delicious, salad fresh too.
Maggots on the floor. Very dirty. Beer was excellent.
Great food, uniquely charming atmosphere, and roomy enough for a decent-sized group of friends or family. It gets rowdy from time to time, but never in a manner that is off-putting or excessive.
Excellent food!! I got the catch of the day, which happened to be mahi-mahi. I got it blackened. It was amazing! The atmosphere is great, a nice open bar/dining area. Try their beer as well! I had the Blonde Bomber and 4 Kings and enjoyed both very much! The service is on top of everything and are super friendly. The food arrived fast and hot and delicious! They are happy to answer questions and make recommendations! If youre an out of towner this is a superb place to visit. Get here early though they fill up pretty quick! My hats off to you gals and guys! You definitly made my last evening in the area enjoyable!
Great service. Food was good and the in house beer was really good.
We were driving around and noticed it closed at 8. We walked in at 7:15. One of the waitress wouldnt even seat us because they were about to close the kitchen. Made us feel unwelcome. Sucks because we wanted to try their drinks.
We came here while on vacation with a group of 10. The service was excellent and food was delicious.
Good selection of craft beers. Atmosphere was ok. Service was ok. Ordered the Blue Burger and it was cooked medium as ordered but the homemade chips it came with was over seasoned, tasted burnt but was cold. Hubs ordered the Fish and Chips. He said it was good but the coleslaw it came with was dry and under seasoned.
Great place for a quick bite and a brew.Basic bar food except some unique creations. Beer pairing with each menu item. I had a basic caesar but the grilled chicken on it was great, very hearty and flavorful. Blood Orange Bomber was by far the best beer! Service was excellent - very down to earth people and very helpful.
Great service and even staff better staff. Miss Ashley is on of the best servers/ bar tenders in the area. Ask for her and you will not be disappointed with your visit. The food and the beer at this location has not let me down yet. i personally love that they always have fresh seasonal beer.
Beer is local and good. Food is solid. Location in a strip mall seems weird, but inside is nice.
Not only was the food amazing and my husband’s favorite beer was on tap, but our server Stacey was SO FREAKING INCREDIBLE! she literally made our night a joy. I have high anxiety and it’s hard for me to be in busy places but I’ll be going back to Props again because Stacey made me feel so at peace and she is on top of her game! Thank you for taking such great care of our family tonight! ✨🤗
Service and food preparation qas slow because of short staffing. But service was great and food was delicious.
Annoying staff, wouldnt leave me alone. Food was mediocre, beer was ok. Wont be back.
We waited 25 minutes for someone to ask us if we had been helped and then after being ignored 5 more minutes we decided to leave. Cant blame the wait staff, the 2 servers were doing all they could to handle the whole restaurant, we blame management for not properly staffing on a Sunday afternoon.
Not a bad place to go. I had a regular props burger and I was not a fan. No seasoning, bun got most of the juice from the burger. My wife got the alfredo and the chicken was bland and had no taste at all. Service was good. But thats about all I could say. Nice atmosphere when you walk in but definitely could use a boost on the food
Great service and very friendly. Only had a flight or their beer (good) and no food. Will go back again.
Beer was good and cold only highlight. Cant say the same for the food.
When we first arrived we were told, there was only one person in the kitchen and to wait 15 minutes before placing our order. We finally ordered our food it took forever to get to us. I ordered another drink never received it. It was an overall bad experience. I dont live here but my son does, I visit often but will not be back.
Maybe I came on the wrong day. I ordered A burger medium rare, it came out burnt to a crisp looking like a hockey puck. The portion size to cost ratio is way off.The only had three beers on tap.I don’t know if the waitress was overworked, but she was incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming. Just not good.Maybe my expectations were too high.
When we first walked in, it was awkward. Took about 30-45 seconds for someone to say something to us. Food could have been better, fish n chips was greasy and the actual fish lacked seasoning. The shrimp tacos were okay but could have been a little better. If I was to come here again I wouldnt order food probably just some beers which seems to be the top pick here.
Excellent service and great beer! We only had several starters (oh my! the size of that pretzel!)and they were all good...but the burgers walking by looked even better!Go to Props and enjoy!
Awesome brewery, the military theme was really cool, and the food was great too!
The people were extremely friendly and helpful, the beer was wonderful, but unfortunately not one soul was wearing a mask. I was the only person wearing it. That was quite a disappointment.
I was really very impressed. The vibes were good, the food was scrumptious (with generous portions at that), and the live music was very good. The only downside is that Im not a big beer drinker, so the beverage options were very limited for me. I know its a brewery so I cant complain too much about that! Overall, a fun place to check outq
I ordered delivery, the mushroom Swiss Burger was amazing. But the fries had literally no seasoning at all. I had to add it on them, Im going to try ordering again though.Editing to add a star after getting delivery from here again. The fries were crispy & well seasoned. The mushroom swiss burger was actually even better than before. Damn good burger, the delivery.com person called because props wanted to make sure they cooked my burger how I wanted it. Highly recommend.
The service was fantastic, the food was good, the beer was really bad.I have been brewing beer for 15 years and have a great deal of experience tasting and evaluating beers. The barrel aged wild dark ale had such a strong ethyl acetate (nail polish) off-flavor that I couldnt finish it. The brown ale was light amber colored and the California Common was black and both tasted overly roasty and overly hoppy. The IPA tasted vegital and like chewing on green leaves. The imperial IPA was ok, not great, but ok.I wouldnt go for the beer, but I would go back for the food.
Props is the best for sandwiches. Our group ordered the French Dip, the Ruben and the Pickle Burger. They were all delicious and the pickle burger had a pile of fried pickles on it (delish). They had a good selection of brews, as well. We had the Orange Blood and Blueberry Lager. We are extremely happy with everything. You definitely need to stop by for food, brew or both. :)
Their was only one lady waitressing and it was busy, the food was good
Great service from Shania! Gunslinger dark beer was delicious!
We ordered a pretzel, a french dip sandwich, and a chicken sandwich. Portion sizes are typical. The prices were reasonable (about standard what you would pay for similar food in non-tourist towns). The sandwiches were pretty good. The pretzel was wonderful. Their caesar dressing was amazing--more like a vinaigrette than a typical caesar dressing. We intentionally went in on trivia night and had a great time. The servers were nice.
Love this place! We tried every beer on the menu and found none that we disliked. Service was also good!
Amazing atmosphere, food, and service! Chelsea, our waitress, was very friendly and enthusiastic! Their new Pumpkin brew is the reason we went and it was above our expectations, but not the only reason we will go back!
So much more than I expected.
Their food has taken a nose dive. Horrible service, poor food quality, and up charges.Their fish tacos were previously my favorite in town, as a local that is saying something... The last two times the food has been awful. The time before this most recent, I thought it was a fluke, but now I realized the food has taken a turn for the worse. This time, I had two bites of my fish tacos and the waitress did not even offer a comment. The fish was almost translucent, overly salty, to be honest, I was not sure it was cooked all the way due to the color and texture, but you could sure smell it as she brought it to the table.... The toppings which used to include a lovely fresh cabbage slaw is now a soggy minced slaw and an orange sauce atop the fish, I assume to try and balance the lower quality ingredients. It was not edible and the waitress did not even come back to the table to check on us, so unless I planned to chase her through the restaurant, there was no discussing this. When she did arrive, she looked at my food, did a double take, and did not say a thing. We had one change out after ordering, before the order was placed, and that was messed up, we changed the fries for a salad, she asked what dressed we wanted, and fries arrived to the table, no salad and no correction. The childrens chicken was slimy and breading just fell off; even they kid wasnt happy. Do yourself a favor, if you are stopping in for a beer and you are hungry, get a burger or do not eat.
Service was excellent and food was really good we had the breakfast burger and Buffalo chicken sandwich with salads. The homemade blue cheese dressing was so good. This was our last meal before heading home so glad we stopped.
So glad we found this place! The service was amazing our waitress was so delightful. They had amazing beers and the food was incredible. I ordered the fish tacos and a side salad and my husband ordered the burger. Both were amazing hot fresh and cooked to perfection. It was a Saturday night and they had a gentleman in there playing the keyboard who was fantastic. Very talented and very engaging with the patrons of the restaurant. Great choice! Go here you wont be disappointed.
Nice little pub, very local feel with good food
I had the Fish & Chips which were very good. My friend had the Fried Green Tomatoes, Smokehouse Burger with Onion rings which she said were awesome.
Excellent burgers! Excellent service!
Wings were excellent
We bought the pretzel appetizer, husband got cubano and I got the fried pickles burger (both with sweet potato fries)...kids got Mac and cheese. The beer was delicious (loved my blood orange Blondie). All the food was top notch. The waitress was really busy but the food made up for it. Staff was super nice. Highly recommend.
Had my Air Force retirement ceremony here 1 November 19. 100% phenomenal from the staff to the food to the beers! Best burgers in town, and best wings Ive had in a long time! Oil Porter is amazing... thank you for such a memorable experience!
Poor service, unbelievably slow. Food was not great either. Bathroom was disgusting.
Beer is really good. Sever was great, but very short staffed.
Shocked to see staff not wearing masks! There’s a sign on the door saying they actually don’t require their staff to wear mask. Unbelievably irresponsible! If you’re preparing food why would you risk your customer safety??
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The waitstaff was helpful and friendly. It has seating for inside or outside. The inside area seemed a bit unfinished, but it was a great experience. My children loved the chicken tenders and fries.
What a great find. Passing by we saw the sign and so happy we decided to swing in. Shannah is delightful and her knowledge was impressive. The atmosphere is a must see! Words can not describe the unique decor and the photos could not capture the feel of Props. Great food. Great selection of Brews. Highly recommend.
Well, we had high hopes for this place since somebody recommended it. It was absolutely terrible. Chicken wings were flavorless, the side salad was a joke. I ended up having to send back my Cuban sandwich which I thought was in edible. The pork tasted very old and had NO flavor! Hopefully someone will read this review and save themselves the disappointment. Fried green tomatoes were greasy and not crispy.Disappointed from Michigan.
Shannah was great! Food was delicious, and so was the blueberry pilsner. Definitely recommend for craft beer enthusiasts and vacationers.
Great beer! Tried the Blood Orange Blonde along side my pickle burger. Food was good and was prepared exactly the way its supposed to be.
