Me and my mom went to get mother daughter tattoos for my 18th birthday. We went to make an appointment and they said it would be 200 each and for both it would take 2 hours. We go for our appointment and I go first. My tattoo is fine didn’t hurt for my first tattoo but it only took around 30 minutes to do mine. Then my mom goes and the man does hers and only takes about 30 minutes. He tell us proper after care instructions and we follow them to a T. My mothers tattoo is now slightly infected and the ink did NOT stick in her skin. 400 IN TOTAL for my moms tattoo to not stick and to get infected and now we have to pay to get it fixed at another shop. We would not recommend this place and some advice to people so you don’t get ripped off here is get you tattoos done by someone you trust and someone who isn’t 12 hours away and not based on reviews. Not to mention they weren’t friendly and the little blond girl was extremely rude to my mother. I could go on about this experience but I’m just gonna leave this here. also to mention our tattoos don’t look like the pictures we gave them for what we wanted done

Sheila did an AH-MAZING job on both mine and my husbands piercings (I had my septum done, he chose his eyebrow)! Ive had many done over the years, and Sheila was BY FAR the best and most professional artist Ive ever encountered! She was very knowledgeable and super laid back, answered all of our questions and concerns, and was GREAT at squashing both our nervousness! She was SUPER honest when it came to placement, and you can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work and goes the extra mile to ensure youre happy with what youre getting (and the pricing was very reasonable and comparable too)! The whole experience was pleasant, from the front floor cashier Kyle doing a great job of explaining everything I needed to know in a to the point and professional manner, to Ray the artist that did my piece which did a awesome job and has over 26 years of doing the art under his belt. I urge anyone that wants tattoos done to take their business here for a great quality work done with awesome service from the staff.

Lucky did a great job translating what I wanted into a solid piece. When we was tattooing he was quick and didn’t waste any time. I’m super happy with the finished look.

UPDATE: I was asked to do this review in tattoo shop…..now I know why…..This artist was so heavy handed he damaged my skin…and the tattoo’s had bled. It looks horrible….there is nothing I can do. Had he been a little lighter on the touch he could have avoided but his….sigh …see pic. This is not bruising….it’s been MOTNHS….The review for the piercer remains the same.For the tattoo—-Dave was professional and a very talented artist. The place was very clean, and very affordable. Lucky did a fallen angel for me a few months ago that turned out amazing so I came to him with another tattoo I wanted and to get ideas on how to finish off my sleeve. I let him run with his vision and it turned out incredible. He redid my 10 year old tiger and tribal, added a compass with a skull and filled in all of the blank spots with flowers, clouds and smoke/skulls. The 7 hours in the chair that day with lucky was easier and less painful than 3-4 hour sessions Ive had with other artists. Highly highly recommend lucky!!For reference, lucky did everything on my arm except the hour glass and cross.

My family and I are from South Texas and we came to Fort Walton for vacation. We looked up a lot of tattoo shops in the area and this one was the best one in our opinion based off of the reviews and us visiting them to make the appointments for our tattoos. All four of us got what we wanted and I’m sure we’ll be back next time we get a chance for another family vacation. Lucky and Steven were the artists who took care of us.

I visited this place over the weekend with my friends. We all walked in on Sunday afternoon and everyone was friendly. Kyle was especially helpful. Lucky was our artists for all five of our tattoos and he did an amazing job. Clean, friendly, will definitely come back!

Overall it was a pleasant experience. The actual facility was run very well. Its very clean and the guy at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. My only issue was my artist. I dont know his name because he didnt really introduce himself and just lacked personality and his Overall customer service skills were subpar. However, he delivered on what was asked as far as the tattoos my friends and I got. We are very happy with them but customer service means alot to us. Especially when trusting someone to put a permanent object on their body. You should try to make some sort of connection but he didnt even try....I would still recommend this place to any of my friends visiting this area that want a tattoo.

Went in with my cousin. She wanted to get her husbands name and date on her shoulder.(he passed away this yr)They have gotten tatoos here every year for 6yrs. Not today. The artist was an absolute jerk. He was rude and acted like she was bothering him. Personally(my opinion) we interupted him. He was higher than a kite. He was very short with her. Very uncomfortable setting. Glad she didnt get one. I would be afraid of what his abilities were in that state of mind

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! the tattoo artist I got didn’t introduce himself barley even spoke to me didn’t even ask what I wanted. I had only shown him the design of which I wanted to get done. Didn’t ask if I wanted it colored in. Made the art work bigger than the transfer. And the line work is HORRIBLE! It’s patchy and has already started fading and looks almost like a stick and poke! got it done last week and unfortunately I’m going to have to get it touched up by my personal tattoo artist. I followed all the care instructions to a T and this isn’t my first tattoo. Crapy work, crapy artist, paid way to much for a small piece and was basically ignored by the artist the whole time! he just wanted quick cash!!!

Dave did an amazing job on my very first tattoo! He is professional, funny, compassionate and his art work is impeccable. I love my monarch butterfly in memory of my dad. I will fly back to Florida to see Dave if I ever get any future tattoos! My best friend got a tattoo from him as well and she loves it! My boyfriend got his first tattoo here and right from the start we said it was patchy and the linework wasnt good. come three days later and we take off the medical bandage and there is so much faded, lines are straight, it is patchy, and some details have come clean off. Dont understand how his came out like this and mine didnt!

I went in after seeing almost 5 starts on 400 reviews. Told them I wanted a solar system tattoo, pretty basic nothing to difficult. Never once have I been disappointed by one of the tattoos Ive received but for some reason I am not a fan of this tattoo that much. I wanted to get a tattoo to honor my mother who was an astronomy teacher but this didnt do it justice. My biggest complaint with it is Saturn the lines arent straight the one odd white line on the right side and the much bolder right line on the outside of the planet. This tattoo to maybe 30-40 minutes. With a little more time this could have been so much better. I was there with 3 other people and one of them tattooed by the same artist I was his turned out much better along with the other two tattoos. I just wish my artist would have taken a little bit more time with small things that could have made this tattoo so much better. All and all would I recommend going there, for other artist yes after seeing the other work done, for the artist that did mine no I would not.

Great shop. I will say one thing tho...me and the wife got tattoos at the same time and lets just say some artists are better than others at certain things and types of tattoos. One of us was really happy with the ink work, the other not so much. But thats anywhere you go, probably. I still recommend the shop overall and would go back for more, but next visit well be more prepared.

Dave- my artist- was very professional and friendly while working on my tattoos. He kept up a steady conversation while working but was also focused. He worked with me on making each piece my own, adding touches to make my small tattoo stand out. The pricing for both tattoos was reasonable, especially for the colored one.I would definitely recommend him again.

I was visiting from out of town with some friends and we decided to get tattoos. (Im the only one that ended up getting one.) I called Island Ink based on their review rating and they didnt disappoint. I showed a pic to Steven of what I was looking for and he whipped it out in no time. The top section was one I already had but I wanted to add the dragonfly below... He touched up the existing one and added to the original design to tie it all in together. Very pleased! :) Oh... and we cant forget about Kyle - hes an awesome money taker. You rock, Kyle! :)

I recently got my nose pierced there, and I loved the experience. The piercer was really calming and patient, and even helped me calm down and walked me through the process. He marked my nostril and had me look to see if the placement was where I wanted it, and after confirming with him that’s where I wanted it, he got to work. It was really fast and only lasted a few seconds. He explained to me in detail the cleaning and aftercare process. Really nice guy. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Hopefully I’ll be able to come back in the future
