Created an inquiry online, since I live 1.5 hrs away. Wasn’t impressed with my initial response….but received a followup email and video from Gene. I decided to make the drive and see the car in person.Gene was ready for us when we arrived, made the paperwork process easy, and didn’t try to hide any financial paperwork, nor did he run off to “talk with his manager” and leave us sitting for hours (which has been my experience at a few dealerships in Panama City). Instead, he was honest, available, and didn’t waste our time!I have zero buyers remorse….Gene made us feel comfortable in the experience of buying our first Acura.Thank you for the customer service of holding the car for us, allowing us to test drive, completing all the paperwork, the fair trade, and for everyone who stayed past closing to allow us to complete the transaction. Gene, the business manager, was a pleasure to work with! The paperwork was such an easy process with him. Ben, the sales manager, was the opposite. The second we arrived to look at a car we had talked about the previous day, he immediately told us that the price went up $1,800 overnight. He stated this was nothing to do with them, but Carfax’s fault. I 100% believe this was to make his “rock bottom” what the price was originally. The sales representative we dealt with was Karen and she was great! She made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of through the entire process.

I was searching for new vehicles online, and came across an almost new crossover SUV with super low miles. I made an appointment with the office manager Ben to view a 2021 Acura RDX. I had to change my early morning appointment to later in the day due to delivery issues, but ended up on my way early afternoon. While on the way to the dealership, I received a text and a call from Ben, letting me know the vehicle had sold. I was so disappointed, that I almost turned around, but since the location was a 2 hour drive from my home, I decided to go look at the vehicles they still had on the lot. From the moment I exited my car on the lot of Tim Smith Acura to the moment I drove off in my brand new RDX, I was treated with utmost courtesy and professionalism by Travis Smith, the GM, and his staff. Conor Ryan, the young man I had the pleasure of helping me, proved incredibly knowledgeable about his product and was patient while answering a barrage of questions about the technology package and offered up his personal cell number should I find that additional help was required after leaving the dealership. Their Finance manager, Maurice, was equally courteous and explained the process in such a way that I felt confident I made the right choice not just in the vehicle but the company I chose to do business with, especially since this was the first time in 62 years I selected a car without my husband or father in tow (LOL). I began searching across the panhandle from Pensacola to Panama City beach for used Hondas. I found a used Honda Civic with low mileage and a great price. I have been shopping in the southeast for a used Lexus RC F for months and came across one at Tim Smith Acura that had the specs I wanted. I reached out to them with a text and the Internet Sales Manager, Gene Watson engaged immediately. Gene was off the next day so the Sales Manger Ben filled in and was highly responsive as we negotiated the deal. I appreciated that Gene and Ben worked with me via texts only which is what I preferred. We agreed on price and I flew in 2 days later to pick it up. The paperwork was ready first thing in the morning as they knew I wanted get on the road quickly for the 10.5 hour drive home. Gene handled the closing which was a high-tech and super efficient process! The car was in excellent condition with no surprises or issues. This was an excellent experience all around and I highly recommend Tim Smith Acura!

I had to make three trips to the dealership to get an infotainment center fixed. After making the three trips the infotainment center now goes from working to being totally out to a flashing screen and making noises like an electrical fire is occurring. While I waited 5 hours in the lobby for the infotainment center to get fixed a Honda salesman got a dollar stuck in the snack machine and screamed out for a minute and a half in a lobby full of ppl like it was the last dollar he had to his name. I have never been to a business where everyone there projects openly and obviously how much they hate their job.....service advisers (a female specifically) leading the charge. Shes one of the nastiest people Ive ever encountered in a public facing business. Incompetence from top to bottom. To be totally upfront I think the problems lies mostly if not totally w the Honda employees but they are consolidated to one building right now so its hard to say for sure who is who. AVOID! and google the infotainment center issue before you purchase, this is a fairly common issue that I found being discussed on the internet about everywhere I looked.

If I could give less than 1 star then I would. I currently drive a Mercedes-Benz SUV. Drove from out of state to this dealership. They sounded so nice on the phone. After arriving for my appointment, was placed in a car I wasn’t wild about and they sent me home in it for the night, for my car to be “re-examined for trade”. I did not like the RDX I was sent home in and had to drive all the way back home and back out of state to bring the vehicle back. Upon return, I attempted to just turn the keys in but was then shown a more “desirable” vehicle-MDX. Then a whole line of vehicles that actually met my criteria started being shown to me. Finally found THE ONE. I repeatedly asked to go home and look over finances so I could offer more down payment with my trade but was told NO. I worked out a decent deal but it was still over what I wanted to pay. Decided to just go for it and signed all the papers-cut forward about 3 hours and there were “complications” on completion. They had already changed tags, handed me the keys, taken my car away, etc. Them I’m frantically asked if I can put anything else down?? Well no, not on the spot. Then I’m asked if I’m interested in a vehicle that’s 3 years older with 50,000 more miles...so I politely leave and tell them to just call me. I get a phone call later that everything is good to go and that I HAD to drive back down out of state AGAIN the next day and take off of work to sign. During that time I was able to get triple what I intended to put down for my down payment. I looked online and realized the EXACT vehicle I was purchasing was posted on the Tim Smith website for $3000 less than my paperwork was stating. When mentioned, the salesman snapped back that sorry I wasn’t affluent enough and couldn’t afford their vehicles. Seriously NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE EVER!!!!

I went with my daughter to purchase a vehicle and it was her money her choice. The deal she settled for was no where near fair for her, however, I had to let her do what she wanted. The trade that she had was worth at the minimum $5,000. and they would have still made a nice profit, however, she just didnt want the vehicle any longer and took what they have her. That sucked as a dad to have no choice but to let her step out for that because its what she wanted. I guess I cannot be made at them for trying to make a buck.

Went to test drive a Maserati, Gene and Ben were very helpful, and respectful of my time, very easy to communicate with via different mediums. Decided the car wasnt my best choice, they suggested i look at there certified Acura models. After finding a RDX that i wanted to drive, all it took was a text with the cars i wanted to see and when i arrived Kyle Walker was ready to answer any questions or concerns. I had a price in mind after doing research and a trade value for my car. When they presented the offer, was better than expected. Easiest car buying transaction i have had. I visited your dealership last evening with my husband, who is active duty military; and I must admit we have the most unsatisfactory experience. The salesman Connor, was consistently trying to push us to look at cheaper/older models when we wanted to look at the newer versions. I felt as if he was judging us on his perceptions about our ability to pay for a new car. They kept asking my husband about his work and how many years he had in the military; consistently making small remarks on the prices of their vehicles, and how expensive they were. I personally felt they judged us because we look like a young couple. I felt discriminated against while being there. I have never had a dealership act this way with us before. When it was time to review the prices, the salesman Connor told us they no dot negotiate on the price and what they have a set price with a specific end of the month discount. We felt pressured to buy after that service. I will never visit the Tim Smith Acura dealership again regardless of their offer.

Gene and Ben were great from the start. We felt zero pressure to buy the vehicle or that there was a hand on our back guiding us to just sign paper work . We had our number we were sticking with from the beginning and it was quite a stretch from their initial offering. They both worked with us and with the trade in that we offered to reach an acceptable number. They were super nice, understanding, and professional right of the bat and continued with the same patience throughout the process. In the end, we left with exactly what we wanted and felt like we got a really good deal on what was purchased. We will for sure recommend Tim Smith Acura to everyone!

Had a great buying experience for a pre-owned MDX. I negotiated the vehicle long distance and then flew down to pick it up and drive home 7+ hours. I was picked up at the airport and we expedited paperwork and I was on my way. I was shopping for a Accura MDX via on-line. I searched several dealerships on price, availability, color, year, and milage. I made my selection at Tim Smith Accura! Once we settled on a final price the documents were sent via text and/email. My fiancee and I drove two hours from my home in Gulf Shores two days later. Our experience at Tim Smith on the purchase of our 20 MDX was a very positive one. Some of the usual back and forth over pricing but thats part of the process. The real standout of the process however was our sales consultant, Earl. A consummate gentleman, Earl displayed excellent product knowledge, a real concern for my wifes happiness with the car and was very patient as we considered both the RDX and MDX and even mew vs. certified pre-owned. This is our second car we bought from the Fort Walton Smith dealership. We drive from Panama City (65 miles) to buy from this dealership. After the sale the salesman went over everything in the car in detail. He then gave us his cell # and said call if you have any questions. This car was loaded and the salesman was an expert on every detail. Everyone we dealt with were very professional and courteous. We are home now and a few days have past and we are so happy with the new car purchase.

After spending several months on-line researching different SUVs, I found a 2018 RDX at Tim Smith ACURA that looked like something I would be interested in. I went to the dealership and decided this wasn’t the car I was looking to purchase. I was preparing to leave the dealership when the salesman mentioned that a 2017 RDX had just come in. This vehicle had low mileage and was in great condition for a 2017. My wife and I purchased this vehicle and are very pleased with it.
