My husband and I are visiting fromGermany and needed to get some prescription glasses ASAP w/our limited time. We were very pleased w/the super friendliness, thoroughness, and very professional service by Ronnie and the rest of the team there. Ronnie was especially personable and made sure that our glasses fit properly and making adjustments until the glasses fit perfectly.

My wife placed a phone call to make sure her prescription would be available for pick up. They said that the glasses were in but they needed to verify the glasses to make sure they were correct. We let them know that we were from Crestview and they assured us that the glasses would be ready for pick up no later than 1 pm. At 4 pm they have still not completed this verification process. Be sure to have an open schedule when coming here. They do not go by a time schedule and stand behind their word to have a product ready by a certain time. The guy in front of me was also told the same but here we wait.

One day off in the week, and I spend 2 hours there for the most basic eye exam. Why have an appointment system if you are just going to make people sit there anyways. They give you no estimation on how long youre waiting too so you just sit there.

Let me say these ladies are the best at what they do. I was a walk in appointment and they werent sure if they could get me in or not. I explained my situation and they went above and beyond to get me seen. Then when it was time to pick my frames Ashley was amazing, it was almost like shopping with my daughter. I will be going back for all my eye wear needs. Oh, almost forgot, I was able to get my new script and new frames same day, which has never been able to be done cause I have a very weird script. And they let me chill there while they made them. Id give them more then 5 stars if I could! Keep up the great work ladies!! And stay safe!!

Impressive service from Tanya! Her expertise in adjusting/fitting glasses became apparent when she refit a pair that I got elsewhere. All of a sudden the lens focal point was in the right place and I could see so much better. She was also very thorough in finding me the best price. Another retailer just calculated costs after applying my insurance. Tanya took the time to compare the cost using my insurance and for my paying out of pocket. Not using insurance saved me $50!

What a day, the sea claimed my prescription glasses today so I called to see if I could get get a new pair today. Melissa informed me the machine to make bifocals was not operating and the repair part was doing tomorrow. When I let her know that we were leaving town tomorrow she referred me to somebody else locally who would be able to take care of our needs. You don’t find the type of Customer Service much anymore and that’s why I’m leaving a five star review. A company that cares enough about someone’s eyes to send them to another business is top notch, in my opinion. Thank you Melissa

I received great service at Eyeglass World. The attendant was nice and efficient in knowledge of the frames. I think the selection, even as many as was there, was not much of a variety. I am waiting for my completed glasses and looking forward to getting them.

I just visited this place in desperate need of replacing my glasses utilizing their same day service - however - single vision lenses - cannot be made same day? 🧐 customer service and assistance I received was impeccable. But I did not get what I needed most was just my glasses replaced. I was promised same day service on phone - but it is not true. I drove 50 miles for same day service I did not receive. 😔

Ronnie and her team bent over backwards to help me and get me TWO pair of glasses when I lost mine on vacation. Their service was outstanding. They did a wonderful job of helping me choose frames and then produced glassess for me within 3 hours of my visit. They saved my vacation and gave me back the gift of sight. They did it with an attitude of complete service, concerned only about my needs and serving me. I cant say enough good things about the Ft Walton Eyeglass World.

I would be happy to give it five stars if I had received my glasses with what I paid for. I paid for the transition lens and to my surprise they dont transition. So now I have to take time out of my day to return them and then take more time to pick them up. The employees were exceptional and I know it isnt their fault. The fault is to whomever did not do what was paid for.

Went in because a screw had come out my glasses. Everyone was warm and friendly. I liked that, Brandy (even though she was working with someone else and everyone else was busy with customers) acknowledged that I was there. Others did as well as they were assisting their customers. I want to come back here.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I have literally been on a rollercoaster ride with this place since January 10, 2020. Every time I was told someone will get back to me. Well, here it is a month later and that someone (Meghan) is just now getting back to me and had every excuse in the world as to why she never returned my calls. There’s no excuse for poor customer service. Either you have it or you don’t. All I can say is incompetent.

Amazing customer service but absolutely horrid results. The eye doctor did not seem to sure of herself for either me or my wife. I was told all of my glasses (6 pairs) would be ready by Wednesday and they were not. My prescription sunglasses were not cut properly of course so I was told that (because they messed them up) they cant fix them today or tomorrow but she can try to squeeze them in on Friday. Okay cool whatever its fine, mind you I live in Crestview so is have to travel all the way back out there. Then she tells me she can ship them to me so i dont have to drive and I can have them by Saturday. I was thinking okay Ill probably have them Monday but again no.. I finally get them a week later and THEY ARE IN THE WRONG FRAMES! Not only are they in the wrong frames but THE LENSES ARE THE WRONG TINT. Will be getting them fixed and not returning for future glasses. Waste of over $600. I will NEVER recommend this eye care center to anyone ever again and will be sure to relay this to others I have already talked to.

DO NOT GO HERE!Have had the absolute worst experience here with the eye doctors. They are truly 100% incompetent. Firstly the doctor told me my eyeglass prescription was incorrect and just said well if you can see with them then they are fine. Um how about no. I didnt spend over $300 for glasses that are the wrong prescription. Just shows how much he cared about me as his patient. To make matters worse I paid for an exam to get contact lenses. I have been to him for the last two and half months trying to get a correct pair. He has been so unhelpful it is not even funny. I get trial pair after pair that is NOT right for my eyes. Making appointment after appointment for months now. I told him how Im moving very soon and need contacts and he states well youve never worn contacts before so picking some is so difficult maybe another doctor will be able to help you. Basically I took away from that that he is definitely incompetent as a doctor and should not be allowed to ever help people with their eye sight and rob people of their hard earned money. Also he was very overwhelmed i could tell as he would run back and forth between rooms not paying close attention to his patients trying to rush everyone out the door. His hands would tremble as he put frames up to my eyes as if he was in distress and not capable of doing his job adequately. I plan on reporting him/this establishment ASAP. They refused to give me my money back for the exam and just expect me to keep trying trial after trial pair of contacts from an incredibly incompetent doctor. Do yourself a favor and NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!!!!

Had the pleasure to work with both Jasmin and Dr. Owens yesterday. They are an amazing team!Currently they are down one in staff and Jasmin clearly keeps her cool through it all! She was so pleasant; a kind smile and sweet voice to greet me as I was coming in. She a great multitasker! Phones ringing, working with me and two other patients, hopping in back to be the tech for the beginning eye check. It’s incredible! And I loved her calm and coolness through it all. She such a sweetheart and definitely a go-getter.After working with Jasmin, I worked with Dr Owens. He is a very kind and spirited man. I can clearly tell he loves his job. It’s very apparent in his smile and lightness of attitude. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He explained all the good things a doctor looks for in a check up. Easy going and nice check up.Thank you both for the pleasant experience. I have already recommended your clinic to a few friends after I told them I had my eyes checked, yesterday.

Great glasses for a great price!! The lady in the review before asked for a quote on a standard eye exam so of course a contact lens exam is more... DUH! I’ve never been to a place that didn’t charge more for that. That’s why the follow up doesn’t cost anything, because it’s apart of the price you paid originally The law states you have to come back for a follow up before your Rx is released if you’re a new customer. I for one love this place and if you’re concerned about price do your research and listen to what they say. Of course bifocals cost more. Everyone want something for nothing. You get what you pay for. This place has a good bang for the buck!! Seriously call places like LensCrafters and see who’s really ripping people off!!

I was very pleased with the Doctor and employees and the professionalism they all demonstrated. One employee in the lab went above and beyond to help me out. Optician Amanda knew I was visiting from Pensacola and jumped on preparing my glasses so that I would not have to wait to the following weekend to pick them up. I went in for a simple request of having my pupil distance measured, their response was that they only do that for those that buy glasses from them. I went to another optometrist in town, and they were happy to do it for a very small fee. If Eyeglass world cant handle such a simple request, how could I trust them to handle a complex request such as new glasses?

Amazing! What else can I say. From the moment we walked into the store until we left with our glasses it was absolutely fantastic. I dont give 5+ stars very often (mostly because I work in a service industry and have been well trained in excellent service), but the employees at this Eye Glass World more than deserve it. I took my fifteen year old daughter, who was just devastated after she found out she failed her eye test required to get her driving learners permit, there to get an eye exam and her first pair of glasses. We were extremely time-crunched as we were trying to get her glasses as quickly as possible because she needed them to drive in 2 days in her Drivers Education class. I called around to see when the soonest appointment I could make and Eye Glass World had one available next day. I stressed to them the time sensitivity of our dilemma and, although they couldnt me promises glasses before a week or two, they promised they would do their dead level best to expedite the process if possible. So we booked the appointment and headed there the next day. When we first walked in, Jasmine walked right up to us and cheerfully introduced herself and asked how she could help. I told her we were there for an exam and to get glasses. I also told her that my daughter was mortified that she now needed glasses and was extremely sensitive to the subject. She immediately began to build up my daughter, told me I could go fill out the paperwork, and she would show my daughter some frames that would look cool and cute and promised her shed love them. I walked to the desk to register and was greeted by Cody. He was extremely pleasant as I reiterated to him the burden of getting the learners permit quickly, he reassured me that they would do everything they could to help us. He answered all my questions and told me it would be about 5 minutes before the exam. Right on time! I then ventured back out to check on my daughter and her and Jasmine were modeling frames, laughing, and the first thing my daughter said to me when she turned around was, I look cute in glasses! Jasmine had turned her mood completely around and she had frames already picked out. Awesome! We then went back to the examination room where we met Paula. She could tell my daughter was nervous when she saw the testing machines and the face holsters. She began to joke with, encourage, and calm her. She also must have commented on how big and beautiful my daughter’s eyes were at least a half a dozen times. I was very impressed with her professionalism and experience. We were lead to the doctor’s office for final testing and prescription writing. We didn’t even wait five minutes before Dr. Owen’s walked in. He began asking questions after introducing himself and we again brought up the subject of our learner’s permit deadline. He actually encouraged me that after we got our prescription, if they did not have our lenses on site, to call around and see if there was someone else who had them and how soon they could get us glasses. He was willing to give up our business that day to gain our business for life. The doctor was great with my daughter and extremely encouraging as well. He participated in her growing excitement and she was seeing previously blurred lines clearer as he was dialing in on her prescription. Once completed we were directed back out to the main lobby for checkout. Jasmine was busy with another customer, so we were directed to Devon’s desk for checkout. She made sure to go over our insurance details to see if there were any discounts for upgrades, went over additional insurance charges for loss/damaged frames or lenses, reaffirmed that the frames my daughter picked out were perfect for her and that she looked amazing in them, and two days later after we were there called me to make sure everything had worked out and that my daughter was happy with and adjusting well to the glasses! Customer service at its finest! **Please note that I am exceeding the character limit and will continue this review on another account**.....

We had an awesome experience at eyeglass world in ft Walton. Devon was so very helpful. Ive always had issues when I go to get my eye test and then get my glasses because I was told I had a prism in my eyes. but at eyeglass world the thorough eye test I was given shows that I dont have a prism. I got my glasses today and I cannot believe how clear and crisp everything looks to me now. I highly recommend eyeglass world for in ft Walton

Very professional and friendly when I first went. Walked out of there paying over $540 for 2 pair of glasses. When I went to pick them up I felt like they were rushing me &, to top it off, they gave cheap soft cases for both pairs. My husband ordered Rx sunglasses they never called him so he stopped in. Said they were finishing them up being inspected. When he tried them on he noticed blue paper on them & the lenses werent seated in the frame correctly. Their answer was pretty much no big deal see you later. My husband told them to fix them that he paid almost $600 & they needed to be right. They rudely told him it would take another 2 weeks. Its been longer than 2 weeks no call yet. Will not use them again. All they want is there money dont care about the finished product.

There was a minor problem with my original prescription, it just didnt seem right. Went back in, they gladly rechecked my eyes and there was a slight difference. They made it right. My husband and I both went in for glasses and had equally terrible experiences. After spending over $700 on glasses that dont provide proper vision, have been redone, one delay after another and supposed to high quality lens that are crystal clear they are NEVER CLEAR!!!! You cant get the lens clean. Its like a huge ripoff! When we try to ask a question we are met with such rudeness it is unbelievable. Our much cheaper ones from the competitors gave us no problems. This entire experience has left a very bad taste in our mouth. The cost of the exam on top of it was bad enough, but then they billed me for even more afterward! There was a big Lack of communication between the front and back setting appointments and had them set for the day optometrist wasnt even on duty. So we both drove in for nothing. This should have been our first clue!

I came in on Saturday afternoon and was attended to by Amanda. She was courteous and professional. She helped me get a new set of lenses ordered, as the ones I had from another place the anti-glare was peeling off in only a few months.She said it might take a week to ten days to get them. My glasses were taken by the gulf while playing in the surf. Contacted Eyeglass World and talked with Brandee about how long it would take to get a replacement pair. She told me they had my prescription in stock and should be able to have it done by closing(7pm). It was 3:30pm when I talked with her. Got to the location, picked out 2 pairs of glasses(bogo free) and they had them done in less then an hour. Craig did the finish fitting and I left there with 2 great pairs of glasses at a great price. Would recommend them to everyone. Thank you Brandee and Craig.

Ordered and payed for replacement side shields for my sunglasses (which I bought there) on 08-07-17. They said they would sent them to my house. Had one of these automated surveys regarding my experience on 08-30-17. I asked to be called back regarding my side shields since I did not receive them, yet. Nobody called. Called on 09-01-17, was told they call me back. Called 1.5 hours later, explaining everything to 2 people, they said they have the shields there but they have to call me back. I called back 1 hour later, had to explain everything again and was put on hold. I hung up 6 minutes later. 12 minutes later the store manager calls me back and said they did not actually receive my side shields and she was gonna sneak me the ones from the display model as new ones. Then she realized they were the wrong color. I will get my money back and my business with them is done. For good.

After reading the reviews, I felt that I should write one as well. I work in the customer service field also and know that most people only take the time to write these if they are upset or dissatisfied. My two daughters and I have been using Eyeglass World in Fort Walton Beach for over two years and have always been treated with the utmost care and respect. Ronnie is always very attentive and helpful, the new addition Devon was a pleasure to work with and the doctor and his assistant were just as friendly and attentive. I called today to order contacts for my daughter and Amanda was very helpful, called me right back and promptly took my order over the telephone. I know that sometimes you have to wait a while but that is only because they are busy helping other customers. I would be happy to reccommend Eyeglass World to anyone needing their service. They found my RX, but theyre too strong or something and are giving me a migraine, so I have to take them back to get them adjusted. This process has been a hassle, but they did say they would fix it for free. We will see how that goes.

They claimed it was $95 then after words we found out the eye exam is an extra $65 so after all thier hidden fees was $173. They completely ripped us off! This appointment was for my husband. They also do not have same day service as they claimed to have at this location. I used Americas best in Pensacola for my eye appointment not only got 2 pairs of glasses, lens, eye exam but also got the extra scans bc of past issues with my eyes and they charged $85.00 for everything not one hidden fee. Really wish we would have went back to Americas best instead of getting scammed by Eyeglass world. I DO NOT reccomend EYE Glass World to anyone they are a scam! Highly dissatisfied and will never ever use them again!

**Continued from a previous review that exceeding the character limit**... Customer service at its finest! Now, for the best part. Once she got our prescription, she walked back and spoke to the technician personally to see if they had our prescription in house. Remember Cody? The gentlemen who first registered us. Yup, it was him. My man was pulling double duty. Not only did they have the prescription, but he remembered our situation and told her to tell me he would cut the lenses immediately and they would be ready in 30 minutes. WOW! So, 30 minutes later when we returned, Devon gave us our glasses and my daughter tried them on for the first time. She squealed with glee as she literally saw the world differently. She started screaming out words she could read from afar and the entire crew literally rejoiced with her. It was truly an amazing moment. And in those moments, I remember Devon looking over at Jasmine and saying that reactions like this were why the do what they do. That really made an impression on me. Their reaction was genuine and heartfelt. I even offered a $20 tip to Cody, the technician and receptionist, and he declined it and said it was his pleasure. What more can you ask for? I know this might sound like a loaded review, or a scene out of a make believe movie, but I can assure you this happened explicitly and exactly as I have detailed. I have taken the time to write this out in as much detail as possible. Because of the quick excellent service we were provided, I was able to take my daughter immediately to the DMV from there and she was able to pass her permit test that day and get her permit a day before she needed it. It really meant the world to me. This was genuinely one of the best experiences I have ever had with a business. And everyone mentioned deserved the full recognition and accolades that come with their tremendous service, attitudes, and genuine concern for my family. The Worst!I purchased two pairs of glasses with progressive, transition lenses. Two technicians fitted me. When my glasses came in, the progressive reader part of the lens started too high. I went to return, and was offered corrected glasses which I accepted. When the corrected glasses came in, both were shoddily done. One pair had a lens that did not meet the frame in the upper corner. The other pair had a noticeable replacement screw in the frame. I would be embarrassed to sell these for the $870 I was charged. I have two relatives who have had no problems at this store. And I liked the optometrist. But I will not return. I wasted over three hours waiting to order, re-order, and return these glasses for a refund. And I still need to go buy a pair.

My fiancee and I went in for a follow-up eye exam for an ulceration that had formed on his eyeball. He was referred to this location by his Eyeglass World doctor in SW FL. To cut to the chase, the Walk- Ins Welcome decal on the window was proved wrong on todays visit.We went up to the counter to try to get an appointment for that day, which the woman there told us could be done if we waited an hour. That was no issue for us; we were willing to wait since this ulceration could become worse if not treated. Suddenly the doctor on duty, Dr. Foresmam, came up to the woman scheduling our appointment and told her that we are not dealing with that today. The woman at the counter told us we could not be fit in today even though she said previously that we would have an appointment an hour later.I am appalled that my fiancee and I were treated like second class citizens. He was in need and this doctor was not willing to help him. This really hurt my feelings to the point that I cried for 30 minutes afterwards. I do not know who does the hiring or what qualifications it takes to become an optometrist at Eyeglass World, but it was sickening the kind of treatment we received today. Its extremely disappointing to be wrong about the high standards my fiancee and I hold about Eyeglass World because the one we go to typically has amazing people working there, who want nothing more than to help people in need. This experience has put an awful taste in my mouth and I do not feel welcome at this location.

This was the most expensive ($600, exam was separate) and worst experience Ive ever had trying to get new glasses and contacts. I have really bad vision, so I never expect same-day or same-week delivery of contacts or glasses. Usually its about a week.Here, it took 2 weeks the first time and 3 weeks when the lenses had to be re-cut because I couldnt see with them. The really high price included a deal of the 2nd set of lenses free.I have better vision with my old and much cheaper glasses. I had to repeatedly ask why I could see well with those, but not the new, very upgraded lenses. After I still couldnt see well enough to work, I was notified that the frames I chose would never be good enough for my poor vision and astigmatism. I asked why I wasnt told that and was told the person who helped me must not have known.I should have demanded a refund, but I was so tired of dealing with them and being bullied into thinking this was my fault that I just left. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone, ever.My experience is from last year, but it appears that there are still issues based on other reviews Ive found.

I went there because it was close to the house and had the so called get two FOR $69.00Dream on ... 2 pair cost $600+They did the eye exam and i ordered glasses.I tried them on and my left eye was way out of focus.I conveyed this to them and the Doctor actually said that she can not wave a magic wand and make me see better. and that it wasnt my eyes but in my head.OMG....RUN AWAY.... I MAY HAVE TO FILE LITIGATION BECAUSE THEY JUST DONT CARE!-5 STARS

I snapped the leg to my lucky brand glasses that I purchased here about 2 years ago. My absolute favorite frames I’ve ever purchased. I knew my insurance went out on them so my instinct was to run over to Walmart vision center. I had to yell “hellllooo” as nobody, not even an employee was around to help. Then they immediately told me “oh there’s no fixing that, try superglue, sorry goodluck.” So I walked out extremely frustrated not wanting to ruin my glasses with super glue. I walked into eyeglass world, not even 3 seconds in the door and I was helped. Russell at the counter was quick to look for a screw to see what he could do. Within 3 minutes he found one that fit my frame, screwed it in, and fixed it PERFECTLY. I’m so pleased and so so happy my frames are fixed. Mr. Russell handed them back, adjusted the legs to make sure they didn’t slide down my nose and they fit my face. Didn’t charge me a dime. I’ll always come here for frames and for when I accidentally roll on my glasses in bed lol. Their customer service is top notch. THANK YOU!! 😭😍

Very slow service. The ladies in the optometrist area were unfriendly and the lady at the desk was messing with her phone remaining quiet when she knew we were there and acted annoyed at our presence. The people in the very front of the building were nice and friendly.

Purchase a pair of lenses and frame 3 months ago and had scratch resistant coating so scratched up now I cant see was told nothing they can do about it $500.00 down the toilet have to buy a new pair DONT GO THERE RIP OFF

Horrible. Bait and switch you pay extra FOR EXAM PLUS THE GLASSES. Told me I needed to see an opthalmologist and they could not help me. Still charged me for exam. Rip off!!!!!!!!
