The most pleasant car purchasing experience ever – no pressure, no haggling, no sales pitches - just honest, sincere and down to earth people the entire time. Toyota of Fox Lake’s E-Quote, for the same vehicle, was far better than the local dealer’s 3 hour, bait and switch sales pitch deal. Kate handled a specific E-Quote question with a quick return call before starting our hour plus trip. Janel sincerely greeted us, checked us in, went with us on the test drive and explained vehicle features casually without the sales pitch – so refreshing. She was very easy to work with, answering all our questions honestly and took care of everything prior to us meeting with Shane in Finance. Shane, efficiently got us through all the signatures with simple, clear explanations. We wanted an extended warranty. He asked how we will be using the vehicle, expected mileage, and length of ownership. On the warranty sales sheet, he crossed out all the extended warranty options not fitting our needs and totally agreed with his recommendation. Nothing oversold, no pressure to buy, just honest conversation and was able to negotiate a lower warranty price with no haggling. Couple of days ago, me and my wife went to the Toyota of Fox Lake in order to bur a new Toyota RAV4. Before going there, I called and requested a quote. Had a good experience with Janel, easy to work with & didnt pressure. Mike the sales manager wasnt easiest to work with- didnt leave much room for negotiation and tried adding over $2k to the listed sale price in extra fees/tax. Manager Derek was easy going and made the finalization of the deal quick and easy. I traded in a Truck for a Rav4 Hybrid. I am giving one stars not because of their sales pitch. But their service department, and followups.I got the car, drove it home, no issues. The following morning there was a horrific screeching noise coming from the Driver’s side brakes. I called the dealership on one of my breaks at work and they said to bring it in. I brought the car in, and they told me it was morning dew…park it inside a garage and see if it does it then. So i park inside my garage, still makes this awful noise…I call again, and they say they will call me back. No calls, I call again, no callbacks…This noise was so obnoxious, I had to get it fixed. I took the car to my Mechanic. He found that they had the wrong brake hardware installed, didn’t change any of the filters on the car, and didn’t even change the oil. In turn, cost me $200. They are just washing cars, drenching them in Armor-all and putting them out for sale.The noise is now gone, oil changed, and all filters replaced. Thanks Fox Lake Toyota 👍🏼Update: After going back and fourth with Toyota customer care for 3 weeks. Fox Lake Toyota refunded me $100 of the $200 expense, and then requested I change my review.

The sales person, Janel, was nice and courteous, however, the dealership still uses high pressure sales techniques from the 60s to the point where the Sales Manager was coming across as really condensing. I bought this vehicle almost a month ago and the dealership has not paid off my trade-in. This has caused my credit score to drop as it shows a new account and the old account. I contacted the sales person last week and left a voicemail and nobody ever got back to me. Overall this has been the most stressful car purchase I have made. I wish they would have told me that I would be paying both vehicles until they sold my trade-in.

I have now purchased one car and leased one car. John Paladino is the best to deal with. Actually everyone there is great. No bs, no over-selling, just fair dealings. My lease took a bit longer than my purchase. But all in all I was in and out once financing approval was complete. The service team is wonderful and updates you start to finish. I had talked to a sales associate Micheal about looking at one of there used cars. He told me to come on in hed have the car detailed and ready for me to look at. When I got there the car had beer bottles in the trunk. There was garbage in the side door panels. There was cigarette ash throughout the car. Michael continued to try and sell me a brand new car and after the 3rd time of him trying to sell me a new car and me refusing he told me he was done talking to me and walked way. Good luck to you if you try to buy a used car here.

Thank you Toyota of Fox Lake for our beautiful brand new Toyota Highlander. In early of June, I started looking for a new car for my wife. I visited several dealerships. Unfortunately, none of the dealerships we visited honored their offered price. I became very frustrated, when I received an invitation from the internet sales department of Toyota of Fox Lake. The invitation offer in the letter was too good to be true, I called the number on the email to confirm the offer invitation. On arriving at the dealership, I showed the offer invitation letter to the Sales Professional that welcome me to the dealership. Mr. Trevor Rowe took my wife and I to his office, he was very professional, and pleasant. He worked the number on the price, but because of my previous experiences with other dealerships, I became questionable. I was thinking, the ninety minutes of driving to the dealership would be a waste of time. I asked him, if he would honor the offer invitation without any hidden fees. He excused himself, moment later, he returned with the sales manager (Mr. Kyle Richards). He greeted us, and without beating about the bush, he struck a deal with us. He said it is the dealership policy at Fox Lake Toyota to honor their offer invitation, even though the price could not be find at any other dealership. I knew that to be true, because I have been to multiple dealerships, on calls from several dealerships within and outside the states, but none of them could match the Toyota of Fox Lake price. Also, other dealerships that I visited had crazy hidden fees that was high as five thousand dollars ($5,000) for Resistall treatment, but not at Toyota of Fox Lake. Mr. Richards worked the price to meet the offer invitation. I made deposit that same day, he gave me about six weeks for my car to be built by Toyota and delivered to their dealership. Both Mr. Rowe and Mr. Richards continued to communicate with me on the update of the vehicle. The vehicle arrived two weeks earlier than expected. I received an email from Mr. Richards, followed by a phone call from Mr. Rowe, that the vehicle was delivered. In a nut shell, my experience with these guys was the best ever in my years of experience buying cars. They made purchase very simple, straight-forward, and transparent for me. Toyota of Fox Lake is blessed with these two guys, plus the policy of the dealership is simple, all customers are treated with respect, regardless of skin color. I am highly recommending Toyota of Fox Lake to anyone in the market for a vehicle. The dealership earned my respect, and future businesses for my next vehicles. Its been two weeks today, that my wife drove off the dealership with a big smiles inside her new Toyota Highlander. I came to Toyota of Fox Lake originally looking for one particular vehicle, which had sold about an hour or two before my appointment there. Mike had called me to let me know, but I decided to still look at some other vehicles there since I was coming from an hour and a half away. I ended up test driving and buying the same model vehicle 4 years newer than the original vehicle I was going to look at. I was skeptical at first because it was more expensive of course, however, Rafael and Mike helped me set up financing and went over different loan options that worked for what I wanted to pay. They were very accommodating and helpful in finding a vehicle that I liked and I am happy with my purchase and really enjoying all of the features the vehicle has to offer. I would recommend looking for and trading in your vehicle here for a new one. They were upfront and made the process simple and were not pushy with purchasing a vehicle right away; they just helped me to find what I was interested in.

I did a search online and found the vehicle I wanted. I was able to schedule an appointment to see it the same day. I went in and took a test drive. My sales rep Rafael was very helpful, personable, patient, and didnt try to pressure me into the sale. I had a great experience overall and waa able to drive off in my new car.

Recently purchased a 2021 Rav4 Hybrid on special order. Had the order placed in January, didnt get the completed product until about two weeks ago. Normally Id be very antsy, but John Ippolito had kept in contact with me every couple weeks to keep me updated on the progress. He helped me set up the vehicle and answered all my questions easily.
