This is our little getaway bookstore! My partner and I enjoy coming out here from time to time! We played a game this time of choosing three books depending our our first 3 letters of our names. We enjoyed looking through them and it was a great way to skim books that we would not have chosen otherwise! 🙃🙂

Barnes and Noble is one of my all time favorite places to go to. My fiance and I are regulars, on our date nights even! The selection is so vast; not just with books. There are many great board games and kids toys that arent all of the same typical ones you see everywhere else. The puzzle selection is great! There are always different ones coming in which is amazing. There are wonderful journals, greeting cards, gifts, and such. We also love that there is a Starbucks inside. Our kids love coming with us! Just an all around great store. We can easily spend hours each time.A definite perk is the membership. If you plan on going often, it definitely saves a lot over time at 10%. Even at Starbucks!

This little peace of heaven is my go to spot for books and unique gifts. There is something here for everyone. The people who work here are always friendly. And the selection is diverse. You cant go wrong with this place.

Do not purchase the $25 membership. They price match with their online store, but they wont honor the price match if you use your membership card for the teeny discount they offer with it. Save your money. I learned the hard way. I wanted purchase there because I dont want to purchase from Amazon but at least Amazon is upfront with their prices. Dont do it my friends!

Going into this bookstore is always a good experience. Books, games, Cafe, book accessories, and very friendly staff. One lady who worked there even helped us while she was off the clock to recommend some books. Very good atmosphere.

I love buying books here! I was told that they bought used books and I was very excited. I decided to bring in my daughters old coloring book. It was in good condition with most of the pages crayon free! However, i was not informed that this only went for novels. Long story short I was not able to sell my the book and left in a bad mood. Despite this. I still go to the store, but I don’t let my daughter color in her coloring books. Hope y’all have a great day 😘🍷✝️

I frequent this store with my wife. Best store for new books in the Fresno area. The coffee shop is also nice for those wanting to read and have something to drink.

I took my daughter here on a Sunday to get two books... never again. The store, amazing. The staff friendly. I just dont like people that read.

Very clean, well stocked, Starbucks inside and had a great childrens section. I was also pleasantly surprised with the board game section. My 12 year old son was very pleased.

Pre-ordered a book that was supposed to go on sale today roughly 2 weeks ago, went to a B&N last week and saw it sitting on the shelf earlier than it was supposed to be released, now my bank account is over charged cause they decided to charge me today while my funds are low and give me an overcharge instead of when I purchased the book 2 weeks ago! Will never do business with this joke of a company again. Amazon all the way! No wonder I never buy anything in store from you, I knew something was shady.

The only Barnes and Nobles in Fresno.Youll find everything that you expect form it: books, coffee, toys, etc.The employees can give good recommendations, I spoke with two and both were very familiar with the books I asked for.I didnt find one of the books I was looking and they offered me to place a hold on the next shipment of the book.

It looks good and very cozy inside. But their book selection could be better. The Science Section is short and you see a lot more emphasizes on magazines and vinyls then on books. I would like a Social Science section specially with Anthropology.

Theres nothing like getting lost in a book that you just cant put down. And the best place to look for a great book is here! The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. If they do not know the answer, they use every avenue available to find what youre looking for. And in the process, you may find something you werent looking for as well. 😉Plus, they have many choices of options, CDs, DVDs, picture books, research, and interactive for all ages. Dont see it, ask if they can order it.I like looking for gifts here, they have gift ideas for nearly anyone.Thank you.

Staff here is amazing. Tonight even though she wasnt helping us, the staff member named Olivia was helping a mom and her young daughter find some books based on a genre and similar to a TV show the young girl liked.They have a great selection of books, though at times they seem to have trouble having either the first or last books in a small series (3-5 books). They can and will order books for you that can be delivered either to the store or to your home.Some of the aisle layouts are a little off and seem not to flow well (at least to me.) For this reason and the trouble with instant gratification with some books I did knock it down 1 star, though most probably wouldnt.Please be aware that as of 02.04.21 there are still shorter hrs (closes at 8pm) and you are required to wear a face mask due to COVID-19 mandates. (No stars were removed for this.)

Sadly The One and Only book store left in town where you can enjoy a cup of coffee grab a book and relax. I love her assortments, always a lot to choose from! Large spacious store with attached Starbucks & outdoor seating. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable.

Always a great selection on the specials and bargins...why pay full price..always check those first...however they could turn up the air alittle...its always a little warm..

This is one of my happy places. Glad to see that a brick and mortar Bookstore has managed to stay afloat in this day and age. I recommend coming here to study or to even book search. Just to let you folks know that although the coffee shop looks like and serves Starbucks products they are NOT Starbucks meaning that you can not use your rewards here

I very much enjoy coming here. I can find anything I need whenever I want, and if I cant, they order it to the store for me. I can always get good dice here, find some more rare manga, or even find very classic, grimoire-looking books to stylize my library the way I want. I can never be let down when coming here.

Some staff are very rude and when you bring some books to read at the coffee bar, staff sits behind you to spy. They feel who ever is reading is a thief, I also complained to the manager and she does nothing and just says sorry. Barnes & Noble branches in other cities are more professional.

Ever since I was a little girl Ive found bookstores to be exciting, magical places and this Fresno Barnes and Noble is no exception. From the moment you enter into this enchanting building, the beautifully organized shelves call you over to explore a multitude of genres. I could easily spend an hour or two here. My daughter loved the young adult section and started reading her new book before we left the parking lot. Im so thankful that bookstores still exist in this virtual crazy world in which we live.

Awesome book store with a Starbucks inside. If you cant find your book dont worry, they have friendly staff to order it. They have other shops there and lots of places to enjoy a meal. Easy to the highway on off..

A very obscure book collection in both the art and science section. Books on certain subjects that you would think would be there, are not, while very niche books are present. For instance there are no books on sculpting clay, but there is a book on how to crochet the cast of Friends.

Really nice bookstore, we miss the one in Visalia. We use to take our oldest all the time on the weekends & would spend about & hour looking at books & would always leave with a bunch of new reading material & now we dont go very often cause you either have to drive to Fresno or Bakersfield or even further to enjoy one of these bookstores (not always worth the drive any more, since books are now digital). Also not to happy that they took the rewards points away & changed it to where you got to pay to get any kind of discounts & stuff (the rewards cards are useless now).

I usually buy my books online through Amazon. com. However, I received Barnes & Noble gift cards for Christmas. I visited the local Barnes & Noble in Fresno yesterday. I found four books that I wanted and was surprised to find them at a reduced cost. The Barnes & Noble staff in Fresno are always helpful. My visit was most pleasant!

Just love coming to this store, I can spend a couple of hours here like nothing. Many titles to choose from always games and music also

Great staff, very knowledgeable about authors and what books might interest you if you tell them what you like. The cafe is open but all the chairs are gone due to regulations. The store has been recently reorganized and it flows so much better. Store has an extensive journal and writing section along with a large music area.

I like to visit and look around. It is a beautiful experience to get physical books. The assistants are not very polite or super helpful. It is better if you search by yourself what you are looking for.

I love it here! But if you have a return without a receipt they want your phone number to look it up. If it was a gift they want that person’s name and number...lol All I wanted was store credit which I eventually got after gently pressing the matter but I think it might not be a legal approach to returns to demand that kind of information.

Very nice place to find books, music and even movies. Lots of puzzles and learning toys for kids too. My fav has to be the manga section.

This millennial loves a true physical book! Everytime I go here I usually spend a few hours here looking at different books, magazines, dvds..board games! The list goes on and one! Also when I was in college I used to do my calculous homework at the Starbucks that they have in this store. Whenever Im in River Park I always make sure to stop here!

If you want a book on just about anything theyll probably have it, and if youre lost trying to find it the staff will gladly help you navigate to it. I love going there because it has a nice calming atmosphere (and they have a starbucks inside). Also gets extra points from me for being the only place I can find a good selection of manga in basically all of the central valley.

It’s Barnes and Noble, the only bookstore this size in the valley. Get a coffee snd read s book. Two birds with one stone. Win-win.

Get more gaming books my girlfriend loved it there but I wasnt very interested in it Im a huge gamer but fortnite is a no get fallout merch or apex legends

I always enjoy a good book to read and browse the Magazines. The restrooms here are meh! Unfortunately the Starbucks here is owned by Mr Barnes and The Noble dude! So I couldnt use my rewards, I couldnt reload my card either and buying gift cards is out of the question! Forget about getting the mocha cookie crumble here cause they dont have the ingredients to make it! But they will try and make Tic Tok drinks here the old guy there takes his time in making the drinks but they come out delicious!

Nice place, went with my sister who wanted to these Japanese comics called mangos, she was really happy. I didnt find any book that caught my eye, however I found cool dungeon and dragons stuff, so I will probably come back for those, maybe even pick up a book once in a while, but probably not. Im not a big reader

Heard about the Mariko Aoki Phenomenon and stopped in for a visit to see for myself. 10/10 highly recommend!!!

This is still the go to bookstore in Fresno! There is a large variety of books in all genres to choose from. The organization of the main store and the childrens section allows for quick selection of current best sellers, or casual browsing of the shelves to find just the right book.The coffee shop is open, although cafe seating is not currently available.

I love this place. Everyone wrote masks correctly, even the customers did. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Its like a field trip for me as we dont have one in Visalia. When I get to Fresno... I nearly always stop by, even during a pandemic.

Ultimately the books I was looking for were found, but it took some searching. An associate helped me to find what I needed, but it took some time. Still a good bookstore and one that I would recommend, but be prepared to apend some time looking unless you choose to buy online.

I keep forgetting that B&N is 50% gift store now, but its still fun to walk around and look at the games and smell the books. Plus they have a fairly nice-sized D&D section at the moment, so Im pining less for Borders. Also, the staff are all super friendly and helpful, so thats a big seller for me.
